A young boy has been trapped using his bedroom as an illegal tattoo parlor to ink his friends, after advertising his services on Facebook. Up to 15 children - some as young as 13 - paid tattooist their £5 pocket money for the 'body art' while parents watched television downstairs.

Illegal practice was soon exposed after the parents of a 14-year-old girl complained to Trading Standards when she home with a tattoo on her leg. Or maybe you've registered for something on the Internet, and when you're done they offer you a "thank you gift" in the form of free magazine subscriptions that you have to start paying for in three months.
Well, one Oprah.com reader knows exactly how much delight magazine subscriptions bring everyone and is going to force them on all her friends for Christmas.

Sure, some people might actually be happy to get Better Homes & Gardens for a year or whatever, but a lot of people avoid magazine offers like the plague and hate the thought of yet more mail clutter they have to sort for the recycling bin, not to mention having their address sold to mailing lists that want to advertise to people who like whatever the magazine is about.
Apparently unused magazine subscriptions is a big enough problem that it prompted this other list to give this tip:

What's weird is that she feels like she has to earnestly reassure the viewer that these cheapo products work perfectly fine despite having such shockingly low prices as $23 for a 1.7-ounce bottle of anti-aging cream. I know! How can they afford to sell you that at those prices? It's crazy!
If you really wanted to save money, you know that there's actual supermarket/drugstore-branded versions of Oil of Olay and other brand-name products, right? They're like right there on the shelf next to every brand-name product with a little tag that says "compare to (name of brand-name product they are knocking off)."

There's literally a CVS copy placed right next to every brand-name product.
This might have occurred to someone as a money-saving tip if they had ever been shopping inside a drugstore instead of apparently getting excited about the concept of doing so for the first time.

"I wonder if this is where they sell the crack!"
Other necessities MSN suggests you can save money on include your art collection (rent your art from a museum) and designer handbags (there are websites that rent them!). If you were ever in such dire straits that you were concerned you wouldn't be able to maintain your art collection or would have to choose your designer handbags from the mere 150 kinds they have at Ross at any given time, now you don't have to worry!
Meanwhile, Martha Stewart makes the bold suggestion that your family may even be able to do without your wine refrigerator, if you just store your wines in your cellar!

3.Blatantly Obvious Tips

Now even if you've racked your brains trying to figure out how to cut costs here and there, there's probably a couple of tricky little things you haven't thought of, like buying things on sale.
That tip goes on to suggest that maybe you could go shopping on Black Friday, because apparently -- and I think I'm following correctly here -- there are a lot of big sales on that day. Did you know that? I bet you didn't. Too bad the news never covers it. Kind of weird, seems like it would be a pretty big event!

Surely someone must have covered it somewhere.
Another strangely common tip is to skip Starbucks and make your coffee at home, because -- I'm going to need your full attention here, this is complex -- making coffee at home is cheaper than paying someone else to make it. I know that's a difficult concept to get your head around, which is why they lay out a bunch of calculations (and even source them) to convince you of this unbelievable fact.
Because that's why people get coffee at Starbucks -- they're unaware that it costs more to get coffee there than to make it themselves. It's not because, I don't know, they don't have time, or because they want some sort of cappuccino/frappuccino or other weird product of coffee science, or because they want to try a different flavor every day but don't want a kitchen full of Torani syrup bottles that they only use once, or because they are very lazy (guilty).

4.Tips That Would Not Actually Save You Any Money

One of the weirder tips out there is to save money on calendars by buying calendars from past years that match up with this year's dates.
They described finding a vintage 1942 calendar on eBay for "only a few bucks," which is interesting because when I go to eBay, most 1942 calendars seem to actually cost more than a new calendar, maybe because they are antiques.

Supposing you find one that actually costs less than buying a new calendar, you still have to pay shipping charges. If you get free shipping or whatever, fine, you've saved $5 off of buying a new calendar. Is $5 off the yearly budget an incredible burden lifted off the shoulders of most American households? I'm not an economist, but I'm pretty sure it's not.
However, if calendar costs are driving you to the poorhouse for some reason, did you know that you can get free calendars from Chinese restaurants, dentists, real estate agents and even your own printer? Technology these days is amazing.

Sometimes there are great personal sacrifices we have to make in order to save money, like not driving during rush hour. Now there is nothing I enjoy more than being stuck in traffic and taking more than an hour to get to work while choking on truck fumes, but after being told I could save gas by giving up this fine experience, I think I just might have to let it go.
Seriously, nobody wants to drive to work during rush hour. If anyone could get it past their boss, and make it work with their child pick-up schedules or whatever, they would be driving in late/early and driving back late/early. I don't think the idea that they could save gas would be the straw that breaks the camel's back and makes them finally decide to not sit in traffic anymore.

Coincidentally, camels breaking their backs is a major cause of traffic in some countries.
Even weirder suggestions include "Don't get sick." I don't even think that was originally supposed to be a tip, it was just supposed to be a "Here's some things you might not know about your sick leave policy" article. But for some reason they decided they wanted it up by making it sound like a money-saving tip, and the only logical one you could extrapolate would be "Don't get sick." Perhaps they're suggesting that people commonly pretend to be sick a lot, and they can save money by doing that less, but if not, not getting sick is pretty much the only thing you could actually do to act on this information.
And finally, do you have a drug addiction? Did you know that it's costing you a lot of money? If you just made a small change to your life and gave up drugs, you could have enough money left over at the end of the month to buy yourself a little treat, like a frozen yogurt. Or a car. I don't know how much you are spending on drugs.

I mean seriously, that was sandwiched between a tip to eat less fast food and a suggestion to make large batches of casseroles. "Also, kick heroin!" You could take all that money you make selling your body on the street and put it in a 401(k). And if you're doing very well on the street, a self-employment 401(k) actually lets you put quite a bit more away than a regular 401(k) plan! Now that's a tip!

5.Make Something Yourself That Takes a Lot of Time and Expertise

Everyone cries about how our society has become so specialized and dependent on technology and we can't fix our own crap anymore, and back in the day we churned our own butter and built our own houses and knew how to fix our cars, which I'm sure is a very interesting subject, but crying about it doesn't change the fact that we can't very well build our own cellphones, and very few people even have the time and expertise to sew their own clothes.
Still, people persist in suggesting that you can save a lot of money by making your own (insert household item here). This website suggests making your own beauty products with natural ingredients like eggs, oatmeal and avocado.

I do like the idea of taking 15 to 30 minutes putting together an entire cooking recipe whenever I want to use a beauty product, since none of that crap will keep. Plus, some of the "simple household ingredients" people suggest you can handily grab aren't really that common. A lot of people suggest using gelatin and milk to make a mask to replace Biore pore strips, which are sticky strips that masochists like myself use to rip blackheads out of our nose pores.

For some reason, used Biore strips are a common subject of macro photography on the Internet.
Unfortunately, very few people have gelatin just lying around their houses, and apparently not a lot of supermarkets here have plain gelatin lying on their shelves, either, so unless I want to give myself a strawberry Jell-O facial (I can't imagine the sugar and red dye #9 are good for skin), this "money-saving" tip is going to cost me a lot of driving around and wasted time.
Other people suggest making your own beer and wine. I've had other people's homemade beer and wine, and it tastes . Sure, some talented individuals make good homebrew, but odds are it is not going to be you. If you just want to produce alcohol in order to get drunk, I guess this works, though.

Like, I guess if you learn how to make your own toilet wine, you can save a lot of cigs.
Still others suggest making your own clothes, which, again, works for people who are good at making clothes. That blogger suggests that making a sleeveless top takes "about one hour," which means it would take me like five hours, and that they save the $40 they would have spent on a similar top at the store, which means that "the store" is probably Nordstrom's.
Did you know you can save a lot on a top already by not shopping at Nordstrom's? Maybe go to Target or Walmart or Old Navy? Or if you must have a brand name, Ross or T.J. Maxx? I can probably get a sleeveless top from Old Navy for $10, so I think I can find better things to do with an afternoon than earn $10, like earn a lot more than that at my job.

Door to Hell – Turkmenistan

This has featured on listverse before, but it would be remiss of us to exclude it from this list. While drilling in Derweze in Turkmenistan in 1971, geologists accidentally found an underground cavern filled with natural gas. The ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed, leaving a large hole with a diameter of about 50-100 meters. To avoid poisonous gas discharge, scientists decided to set fire to the hole. Geologists had hoped the fire would go out in a few days but it has been burning ever since. Locals have named the cavern The Door to Hell. As you can see from the picture above, it is one hell of an amazing place, but certainly one you wouldn’t want to visit.

Asbestos Mine – Canada

Asbestos is a set of six naturally occurring silicate minerals highly prized for their resistance to fire and sound absorption abilities. On the downside, exposure to this stuff causes cancer and a variety of other diseases. It is so dangerous that the European Union has banned all mining and use of asbestos in Europe. But, for those curious enough to want to get close to the stuff, all is not lost. In Canada at the Thetford Mines, you can visit an enormous open pit asbestos mine which is still fully operational. The workers in the mines aren’t required to wear any sort of respiratory protection, and in some sections of the nearby town, residential areas are butted right next up against piles of asbestos waste. The mine offers bus tours of the deadly environment during the summer months. Tickets are free (would you expect it to be any other way?). If you decide to visit, don’t forget your full body bio-hazard suit.

Mud Volcanoes of Azerbaijan – Azerbaijan

In the Spring of 2001, volcanic activity under the Caspian Sea off the Azeri coast created a whole new island. In October 2001 there was an impressive volcanic eruption in Azerbaijan at Lokbatan, but there were no casualties or evacuation warnings. But Azerbaijan does not have a single active volcano, at least not in the usual sense of the word. What Azerbaijan does have is mud volcanoes – hundreds of them. Mud volcanoes are the little-known relatives of the more common magmatic variety. They do erupt occasionally with spectacular results, but are generally not considered to be dangerous – unless you happen to be there at the wrong time: every twenty years or so, a mud volcano explodes with great force, shooting flames hundreds of meters into the sky, and depositing tonnes of mud on the surrounding area. In one eruption, the flames could easily be seen from 15 kilometers away on the day of the explosion, and were still burning, although at a lower level, three days later.

Ramree Island – Burma

Ramree Island in Burma is a huge swamp home to 1000s of salt water enormous salt water crocodiles, the deadliest in the world. It is also home to malaria carrying mosquitos, and venomous scorpions. During the Second World War, the island was the site of a six week battle in the Burma campaign. Here is a description of one of those horrifying nights: “That night [of the 19 February 1945] was the most horrible that any member of the M.L. [motor launch] crews ever experienced. The scattered rifle shots in the pitch black swamp punctured by the screams of wounded men crushed in the jaws of huge reptiles, and the blurred worrying sound of spinning crocodiles made a cacophony of hell that has rarely been duplicated on earth. At dawn the vultures arrived to clean up what the crocodiles had left…Of about 1,000 Japanese soldiers that entered the swamps of Ramree, only about 20 were found alive.”

Great Pacific Garbage Patch – Pacific Ocean

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, also described as the Pacific Trash Vortex, is a gyre of marine litter in the central North Pacific Ocean located roughly between 135° to 155°W and 35° to 42°N. Most current estimates state that it is larger than the U.S. state of Texas, with some estimates claiming that it is larger than the continental United States, however the exact size is not known for sure. The Patch is characterized by exceptionally high concentrations of pelagic plastics, chemical sludge, and other debris that have been trapped by the currents of the North Pacific Gyre. The patch is not easily visible because it consists of very small pieces, almost invisible to the naked eye, most of its contents are suspended beneath the surface of the ocean. This is not a place the average Joe would want to visit.

Inspired by the Botanical Gardens in Padua, Italy (the first botanical garden which was created to grow medicinal and poisonous plants in the 1500s), the Alnwick Poison Garden is a garden devoted entirely to plants that can kill. It features many plants grown unwittingly in back gardens, and those that grow in the British countryside, as well as many more unusual varieties. Flame-shaped beds contain belladonna, tobacco and mandrake. The Alnwick Garden has a Home Office license to grow some very special plants; namely, cannabis and coca which are found behind bars in giant cages – for obvious reasons.

Izu Islands – Japan

The Izu Islands are a group of volcanic islands stretching south and east from the Izu Peninsula of Honshu, Japan. Administratively, they form two towns and six villages; all part of Tokyo. The largest is Izu Oshima, usually called simply Oshima. Because of their volcanic nature, the islands are constantly filled with the stench of sulfur (extremely similar to the smell of thousands of farts). Residents were evacuated from the islands in 1953 and 2000 due to volcanic activity and dangerously high levels of gas. The people returned in 2005 but are now required to carry gas masks with them at all times in case gas levels rise unexpectedly.

Yungas Road – Bolivia

The North Yungas Road (Road of Death or Death Road) is a 61 kilometres (38 mi) or 69 kilometres (43 mi) road leading from La Paz to Coroico, 56 kilometres (35 mi) northeast of La Paz in the Yungas region of Bolivia. It is legendary for its extreme danger with estimates stating that 200 to 300 travelers are killed yearly along it. The road includes crosses marking many of the spots where vehicles have fallen. The road was built in the 1930s during the Chaco War by Paraguayan prisoners. It is one of the few routes that connects the Amazon rainforest region of northern Bolivia, or Yungas, to its capital city. Because of the extreme dropoffs of at least 600 metres (2,000 ft), single-lane width – most of the road no wider than 3.2 metres (10 ft) and lack of guard rails, the road is extremely dangerous. Further still, rain, fog and dust can make visibility precarious. In many places the road surface is muddy, and can loosen rocks from the road.

The Zone of Alienation is the 30 km/19 mi exclusion zone around the site of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster and is administrated by a special administration under the Ukrainian Ministry of Extraordinary Situations (Emergencies). Thousands of residents refused to be evacuated from the zone or illegally returned there later. Over the decades this primarily elderly population has dwindled, falling below 400 in 2009. Approximately half of these resettlers live in the town of Chernobyl; others are spread in villages across the zone. After recurrent attempts at expulsion, the authorities became reconciled to their presence and even allowed limited supporting services for them. Because of looting, there is a strong police presence – so be warned, if you visit, you may either be shot or get radiation poisoning – and we all know how awful that can be.

Off the shore of Brazil, almost due south of the heart of São Paulo, is a Ilha de Queimada Grande (Snake Island). The island is untouched by human developers, and for very good reason. Researchers estimate that on the island live between one and five snakes per square meter. That figure might not be so terrible if the snakes were, say, 2 inches long and nonvenomous. The snakes on Queimada Grande, however, are a unique species of pit viper, the golden lancehead. The lancehead genus of snakes is responsible for 90% of Brazilian snakebite-related fatalities. The golden lanceheads that occupy Snake Island grow to well over half a meter long, and they possess a powerful fast-acting poison that melts the flesh around their bites. This place is so dangerous that a permit is required to visit.

1.CHINESE GIANT SALAMANDER
It is said that the salamander has stayed the same for the past 30 million years and it is also the biggest salamander in the world right now. It can be found in the lakes of china. It can grow up to 73 inches in length and has an impressive life-span of eighty years. The salamander has a poor eye-sight so it basically uses its other senses to detect prey. The Chinese Giant Salamander is a nocturnal creature and feeds on crabs, fish, frogs and shrimps etc.

2. ANGORA RABBIT
This is one cute and cuddly thing. It is a domestic rabbit that is bred for the purposes of achieving soft wool. The origin of this particular creature is from Angora, Turkey. They can live up to seven years so you can even keep them as pet. There are five different types of the Angora Rabbit including English, German, Giant, French and Satin. They can weigh up to 12 pounds and because of their fluffiness they look very attractive. I actually find all the types of rabbits cute, doesn’t have to be fluffy. Oh, you can think of this one as a Persian Rabbit as in Persian Cat.

This is a funny name but if you look at the thing it makes sense. It is found in the Okhotsk and Bering seas in the Northern Pacific. This particular fish can grow about seven inches in length and has an average life-span of 56 years. It usually feeds on squids, worms and shrimps. It is a scary looking creature; I for one wouldn’t dare go near it.

4. GIANT ISOPOD
This creature is found in the Atlantic Ocean and it exists as deep as 7,020 feet. This particular organism might seem quite alien. That’s because it lives in the pitch black of the oceans. It is said that that isopod has stayed the same way for the past 130 million years and nothing about its appearance has changed. The giant isopod can grow up to fourteen inches in length and thirty inches in height. Interestingly enough it has four sets of jaws. It can survive without food for more than eight weeks and usually feeds on dead whales and fish.

5. KING OF HERRINGS
You can find this fish swimming in waters that are 300 to 1000 feet deep in basically any ocean of the world. The king usually remains in the deep waters and the rare times when it surfaces it usually dies. The fish can reach around 16 feet in length and you know that myth that says there are giant sea serpents? It is said that those rumors might have branched off the Kings.

6. OLM
This is snake-like amphibian which can live in the ocean and on the land. It is about eight to twelve inches in length. An Olm is very fragile as can be judged in the picture as well. The skin texture and color resembles that of humans. The Olm too does not have a very strong vision so it depends on the sense of smell and hearing to survive.

7. SEA PIG
Sea Pigs are creatures that are said to be related to sea cucumbers. These organisms are about four inches in length and have about ten tentacles. They don’t exactly swim but rather walk on the ocean floor with the help of their tub like feet. They detect food by its scent. They were named ‘sea pigs’ because of their pinkish skin color highly resembling the pig that we know of. They eat organic particles trapped in the mud which they scrape off with their tentacles.

8. JAPANESE SPIDER CRAB
This crab is said to be the biggest crab in the whole world with about eight legs. It is found swimming in waters that are 150 to 800 meters deep. The crab has a leg span of 3.6 meters and can be found on the southern coasts of the Japanese Island Honshu. The Japanese Spider Crab is said to be able to live around a hundred years and they usually feed of animal carcasses and plants. You could almost compare them with vultures.

9. VIPERFISH
You must have seen the viperfish in the movie ‘Finding Nemo’. This particular fish is a deepwater fish and lives in tropical and moderate waters. Its length can vary from one to two feet and can be found swimming in waters that are 250 to 5000 feet deep. It might look frightening at first sight but the poor thing is a very usual prey for sharks and, believe it or not, dolphins. The viperfish can live for a whopping forty years and considering the head to teeth ratio; this one has the biggest and therefore holds the record for it.

10. YETI CRAB
This particular aquatic organism was discovered a mere seven years ago in 2005 in the Pacific Ocean. It’s called a yeti crab because the hair resembles a mythical creature that you’re probably familiar with; Yeti. These crabs can be found in the hydrothermal vents of the Pacific Ocean. These vents release a toxic liquid that is fatal to your everyday aquatic organisms (most of them). There is not a lot of research available on the yeti crab but there is a theory that says that these crabs might be blind. It is also said that they feed of the toxic liquid that is protruded by the hydro-thermal vents.
