Obviously they’re interested in what you have to say because they visit your blog, but do you know which posts are most popular? Likewise are you aware of the topics bringing in the least amount of traffic?

Check Daily

It pays to keep an eye on your statistics. Don’t just glance at them, analyze them. Learn which key phrases bring in the most visitors, and which phrases don't work at all. That’s not to say you should write around your keywords.

However, it would be in your best interests to learn what it is that’s bringing traffic to your blog and figure out how to keep them coming back for more. If that means inserting popular keywords and phrases into your post, figure out how to do it so it makes the most sense.

Plenty of Options

If you don’t already have some sort of statistics tracker installed, do look into one. I like [url=http://sitemeter.com] Site Meter[/link]. It’s free and tells me what I need to know. I can see which keywords work best, who links to me and which days had the most traffic. Some of my fellow bloggers swear by Stat Counter, but it doesn't work well on my blog.

What Can You Learn from Your Stat Tracker?

Some of the things I learned from my Site Meter include:

* Controversy brings in traffic.
* People don’t type like they talk. Many popular key phrases are grammatically incorrect. It pays to link to others. Reciprocal links bring in good traffic.
* It pays to add a link to your blog in your signature when visiting other blogs and forums.

Having a way to analyze my traffic helped me to grow traffic from a few dozen visitors a day to almost two thousand. Don’t underestimate the importance of a stat tracking tool.

WHAT IS RSS

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It allows your visitors to subscribe via a syndicated news feed.
What are the Benefits of RSS?:

The main benefit of RSS is that it allows blog readers to receive your blog’s content through their feed reader, rather than having to visit the site. They will appreciate not having so many bookmarks or having to remember your URL.
Why Not Just Use a Bookmark:

With RSS you can subscribe to all of your favorite blogs and read them in one place. Instead of having to use separate bookmarks and land on separate websites. With RSS, the only website you’ll need is that of your feed reader.

What is a Feed Reader?:

A feed reader or news aggregator allows you to subscribe to and read a blog through its RSS feed. Without a feed reader, you won’t be able to subscribe to a blog’s feed through RSS.

HOW TO AVOID BLOG BLOCKS

How to Avoid Blogger's Block

Most bloggers know the importance of updating often. The last thing we want is for our traffic to drift off because we don't have anything to say. What happens if we experience blogger's block? How can we update, if we don't know what to talk about? Here are some tips for finding ideas.
Make a daily list of blog stops:

Subscribe to plenty of blog feeds. Not only those that are in the same niche groups but anything you find interesting. Expand on other bloggers' ideas or find ideas of your own.
Use your tools:

One of my favorite tools is Google Alerts I currently subscribe to at least a dozen alerts on anything from blogging to jobs to news about people I find interesting. What I love about Google Alerts is how it always throws out an interesting tidbit or two I might not have found on my own. Stumble Upon is another favorite, but it can also be dangerous as it's a great way to procrastinate.

Make lists :

Always keep a list of things to blog about and update often. If a blog topic doesn't immediately come to mind, consult your list.

We all suffer through a block now and then. The important thing to remember is that it's only temporary. Keep up with the feeds, read the news and use tools such as Google Alerts or Stumble Upon. Keep that content, and traffic, flowing!

HOW TO ENCOURAGE VISITOR TO MAKE COMMENT

How to Encourage Blog Comments

One of the ways blogs are different from websites is the community. Blogs allow comments, and the more the better. In fact, the livelier your community, the more attractive your blog becomes. Blogs with high comment counts draw others in like magnets. Plus, your existing readers will come back often to see how the discussion is going. Remember, everyone enjoys a good party. Encourage your visitors to return by engaging them in conversation. Here’s how:
Ask questions:

A Question in a post’s title will not only attract readers, but it will also encourage them to answer. Is there something you’ve ever wondered about others in your niche? Ask and they’ll be sure to answer.
Discuss a controversial topic:

Nothing stimulates conversation like controversy. You don’t have to go for shock value but if yours is an unpopular opinion or if you’re in disagreement with a certain news items or author, do discuss on your blog. You’ll be amazed at how emotional some people get!

Make a list post:

List posts are a great way to bring in traffic and provide great content. They’re also handy for stimulating conversation. Drop a list and watch how many of your readers to come out of the wwoodwork to disagree with your choices or suggest something you missed.
Have a contest:

Have contests where entrants have to answer questions, provide links, or somehow respond in the comments. Offer up a prize to the winner(s).
Say something funny:

Write a funny post. You don’t have to stray off topic or go over the top, just provide a humorous anecdote or take a look at the lighter side of your niche. The best part? You’ll receive a whole bunch of funny comments in return.

TIPS TO SELL UR BLOG

How to Sell Your Blog

Things to Consider Before Putting Your Blog Up for Auction

Have you ever wondered how to sell your blog? Many bloggers are now seeing their blogs as an investment opportunity. They build them into a highly-optimized community with a high page rank and sell them for thousands of dollars. If you're wondering how to sell your own blog, here are a few tips to help you along.

Why are you selling your blog?

Your buyers may ask you this question, especially if it's bringing in good traffic and revenue. Don't be afraid to tell a potential buyer the blog is too much work or you don't have the time to devote to promotion and marketing. Always disclose any negative issues.

It's best if you own your own domain

If your blog is a subdomain of Blogger or Wordpress.com, it might not be as appealing to others as you might believe.

Most blog buyers won't even entertain the thought of buying a subdomain. If this is the case, consider putting off the sale until you purchase a new domain, do a re-direct until traffic is flowing to the new domain, and sell the blog a few months later. Your blog's biggest selling point may be its domain name, make it a good one.

Decide what your blog is worth

There are plenty of factors to consider including monthly revenue, monthly traffic, page view and page rank. Domain name is also a factor, as is your topic.

Detail your stats and revenue

The person who buys your blog will want a detailed report regarding traffic and revenue. You can do this via an Excel spreadsheet with screen shots to back up your figures.

Where will you sell your blog?

If you're not sure where to sell your blog, consider one of these online market places:

* Digital Point
* Performancing
* Site Point Auctions
* Name Pros
* Blogger Talk Forum

You can also mention on your blog that you will be selling to the highest bidder. Not only will you reach interested members of your community, but if you have decent traffic and bring in good revenue, word is sure to spread quickly.

Remember, once you sell your blog, there's no going back. Be absolutely sure this is something you want to do. Many bloggers experience regret after selling their blogs, especially if they don't believe the new owner is doing it justice. It creates trust in your "brand" and also puts you in your search engine's good graces. That's why it's important now and then to make sure no one else is posting your content. The last you want is to be penalized because you’re the victim of a content thief. Here's some tips for on how to tell if someone is stealing your content.
Run the link through Copyscape:

Copyscape is a search engine allowing you to see who has the exact same content as you. Simply post the URL of the page you wish to check into the search engine and soon you'll see a list of all pages with duplicate content.
Run a few sentences through Google:

Take a couple of sentences from your post, place quotes on either end and post them into Google. If there's duplicate content, it should show up in the results.

Technorati:

The trick with finding content thieves is to make sure you embed plenty of links to yourself in your blogs posts. Always refer back to earlier posts. If someone is stealing your content it will show up in a Technorati search.
Allow Pingbacks:

It really isn't difficult to find out who is stealing your content. The key is to interlink to your own posts. Not only does this help your traffic and page views, but it'll help you catch content thieves as well.

CHOOSING BLOG NAME

Top 6 Tips for Choosing a Blog Name

Choosing a blog name is a decision one shouldn’t enter into lightly. In fact, you can consider your blog’s name to be its first impression. The last thing you want is to create a bad first impression, right? Your blog’s name should easily come to your readers’ minds. Remember, not everyone relies on bookmarks. What follows are some tips for creating a memorable first impression and choosing a blog name.
1. Make it Easy to Type

Your blog’s name should be easy to type without too many letters. The title should be easy to spell, with all words spelled correctly. A purposely misspelled word or one with too many odd letters might be too confusing, especially if a reader has to type the URL over and over until he gets it right.

2. Make it Reflective of the Topic

It should go without saying that the blog name should say something about the topic. “Joe’s Blog” tells me nothing about the blog, except that it belongs to Joe. “Joe’s Tulip Blog” tells me Joe is blogging about tulips. If I was a gardener, especially one who is fond of tulips, I’ll want to remember this blog.
3. Make it Easy to Remember

The blog’s name should be easy to remember. A reader might forget a title if it’s long winded, intentionally misspelled or has nothing to do with the subject matter. If the blog name is short and to the point, he has a better chance of keeping it in mind.
4. Make it Catchy

Do make your blog’s name catchy. A title should be fun and engaging. It should draw the readers in, not send them running away. Visit Technorati and search for different types of blogs. Check out the names of those that are most popular. What makes them so special? What makes the titles so appealing people want to read them?
5. Make it Search Engine Friendly

You don’t have to necessarily stock your blog name with keywords(though sometimes it helps), but you should make it search engine friendly. Someone looking for bulb planting tips might turn up “Joe’s Tulip Blog” in a search. Turning up “Joe’s Blog About Colored things That Go in the Ground” is more of a long shot.
6. Make a List

Make a list of names you feel would best reflect your blog. As you look at each potential name, ask yourself the following questions:

* Does this name reflect my blog’s purpose?
* If I saw this blog name in a search, would I be inclined to click?
* Will other bloggers and blog readers see the title and perhaps consider this blog a good resource?
* Will the name work for years to come?

If the answer to all of these is “yes”, you have yourself a winner.

TIPS FOR EARNING MONEY FROM UR BLOG

Top 6 Tips for Earning Money Through Blogging

If your blog's receiving good traffic, you might consider whether or not you'd like to be rewarded for your efforts. Many bloggers have discovered they can earn good money through their blogs. If this interests you, there are several programs available.
1. Pay Per Click Advertising

It's possible to earn a decent income through Google Adsense or other pay-per-click advertisers. While some bloggers report earning a meager income with the pay-per-clicks, it's indeed possible to earn up to six figures. If you have a popular blog, you can do well. Installing Adsense on your blog is simple, it's just a matter of pasting code on your website. Every time a visitor clicks on one of the links in the ad, you'll collect a percentage of the ad revenue. Because you can fine tune the ads to match your blog, they're not as unattractive as other forms of advertising.

2. Blogads

Invitation only sites such as Blogads sell ads for placement on high traffic blogs. The good news is that this isn't affiliate income. Bloggers receive a flat fee for every ad sold. The bad news is that Blogads doesn't accept just anyone. If you don't know anyone who can offer a recommendation on your behalf, try emailing a request to be placed on the waiting list. But don't hold your breath, some bloggers have been waiting years.
3. Affiliate Revenue

Many online retailers will pay a percentage of a sale if it results from an advertisement placed on your site. Amazon.com offers a popular program, or you can visit an affiliate super-site such as Commission Junction to find retailers catering to your particular niche. Bloggers report mixed results. While it is possible to earn a decent commission, it's not as easy to earn with these advertisers as with the pay per click programs. Still, some do well. The flashing, colorful ads are a turn off for many because they're so distracting. Fortunately you can choose codes for the ads that work best for your site.
4. E-Books

If you're an expert in your field you might consider writing e-books and selling them through your blog. This would be a good way of expanding on some of the information blogged about in the past. Check your stats to see which topics garnered the most interest and take it from there. If you have loyal readers and good traffic, you might have a best seller on your hands!
5. Café Press

If you have a recognizable logo, why not Café Press it? Café Press allows you to place your blog's logo or catch phrase on merchandise such as mugs, t-shirts and calendars. Sell them on your blog for a percentage of the earnings.
6. Tip Jar

Some bloggers place "tip jars" on their blog's sidebars. Tip jars are donation buttons leading to the recipient's paypal account. Some bloggers report earning hundreds of dollars through tip jars alone. While this isn't recommended for every blogger, those who put in hours to provide a useful service are certainly justified.

!0 TIPS TO INCREASE TRAFFIC FOR BEGINNER

Top 10 Tips For Building Traffic to Your Blog

Unless you prefer to keep your blog private, you're probably blogging in hopes of reaching people. Bloggers who are just starting out may find that it takes time to get the word out. Promoting a blog isn't for the shy. If you want to bring in the masses, you're going to have perform a little shameless self promotion. What follows are some tips for alerting the world to your blog.
1. Content is King

First and foremost, you can encourage millions of people to visit your blog, but the numbers won't mean squat if you don't keep them coming back for more. You'll need to provide useful content. It's not enough to provide the same news as every other blogger in your niche topic. You'll have to come up with something new and unique and provide thought provoking analysis. Your blog has to say something and say it well.
2. Participate in Like-Minded Forums

Even if you're not a joiner, it pays to visit forums so the rest of the people in your niche group know about your blog. If your blog is about knitting, visit some knitting and craft forums. If your blog is about earthworms, visit earthworm, soil and gardening forums. You don't have to post a lot of "hey come visit my blog" type comments, but if you add a link to your blog in your signature, it will appear in every post. This is sure to bring in traffic.
3. Visit Other Blogs

Search for other blogs falling within your niche and pay them a visit. Be sure to comment so they'll visit your blog too. If you have something interesting to say about your topic, others may link to and even discuss your blog.
4. Add Tags

Don't forget your tags! Not only do tags help search engines pick up your blog, but they also help to direct those who are searching for your topic. Make sure you add as many tags as necessary. For instance, if your blog post is about roses, you'll want to add tags for roses, flowers, gardening, soil, planting, thorns, aphids, and other related keywords.
5. Add Links

Not only is it important to add relevant blog links to your blogroll, but you'll also want to link to other blogs in the text. The blogger on the other end of the link might just reciprocate, leading more traffic to your blog. At the very least, he'll add a reciprocating link to the side of his blog.
6. Technorati is Your Friend

By claiming a blog with the blog search engine Technorati, you're making it available to others who might not have otherwise heard of you. The more you post and the higher you are ranked, the more likely others are to turn up your blog during a search. Your Technorati rank depends on how many others link to your blog. If you want other bloggers to offer up links to you, you have to provide good content, an eye pleasing template and build up an active community.
7. Submit Your Site

In addition to submitting your site to all of the blog search engines, you will need to ping all the engines every time you update. To do so, utilize a free service such as Pingoat or Ping-O-Matic to ping all in one fell swoop.
8. Install an RSS Button

Make it easy for others to subscribe to your blog by installing an RSS button.
9. Read Up on the Latest Traffic Building Techniques

If you're really serious about blogging, visit blogs about blogs. The top blog bloggers offer great traffic building tips in addition to other helpful information.
10. Analyze Your Stats

In addition to the above steps, you'll want to implement a stat tracking service such as Site Meter to keep track of hits and traffic. Your stat tracker will not only let you know how many people are stopping by each day, but they'll also let you know where everyone is coming from. This will enable you to determine which traffic boosting methods work best for you.

It takes time to build up traffic. Above all else, don't give up. It may take up to a year or more for yours to become one of the top blogs in your niche.

HOW TO WRITE A BLOG

Blog writing isn't as structured as other types of writing. Most amateur and professional bloggers don't have to follow many of the strict editorial procedures as their professional writing counterparts. That doesn't mean there aren't guidelines, however. Before publishing each post, try following a few basic rules of thumb. If you've never done this before, you'll want to read on to learn more about how to write a blog.
Don't lecture, discuss:

While it's fine to inject humor and opinion into your posts, it's best not to digress too much. Blog readers have notoriously short attention spans. Learn how to write for the web and keep it short and sweet. Blog writing is different from article writing in that with a blog you’re stimulating discussion among your community. Bloggers aren't writing articles as much as they're providing useful information, and hoping their readers will add insight, expand upon, discuss or even argue the contents of the post.
Make it easy to read:

Abbreviations and funny spellings hurt the eye and break up the flow of a paragraph. Typing in all caps hurts the eyes. Do yourself and your readers a favor and make sure your posts are easy to read.

Links:

A blog is nothing without links and not only the links in your blogroll, either. Each post should contain links back to previous posts, quoted sources, definitions, and more. When you link back to other posts from your blog, you're generating more page views, a very good thing. When you link to another blogger, you're sending traffic his way, another very good thing, as there's a good chance he'll reciprocate. Bloggers love to share the link love. While linking is acceptable and encouraged, it's illegal and unethical to cut and past another blogger's content and place it on your own blog without permission.
Community:

Blogging is all about building and fostering community. Post with your visitors in mind. Employ the use of a good stat tracker and find out which search terms and keywords your readers respond to most. Ask questions and find out what your readers want to learn most.
Comments:

Make it easy to comment. Visitors to blogs like to comment. In fact, they want to comment. If your comments are disabled or visitors have to register, they're going to move on to a more user-friendly experience. Remember, blogs aren't about you, they're about your community. If not for them, no one would be reading.

SEO OPTIMAIZATION TO INCREASE BLOG RANK

SEO OPTIMAZATION

Search engine optimization, or SEO, is the practice of stocking articles with keywords in order to achieve a high search engine ranking. There are plenty of reasons to want to be on the first page of a search, the most important is because many people find what they'e looking for there, and don't generally delve further. If you want people to find your blog in a search, it doesn't hurt to use SEO. What follows are some tips for using blog SEO.
Blog SEO:
Use Popular Keywords and Phrases for Titles:

It'd helpful if you entitle each blog post with a different SEO keyword or phrase. Search engines like blogs because they update often. Using keywords in the titles will help to catch their attention. The keywords should make sense, however. Nothing turns a off blog reader more than reading a poorly written blog peppered with keyphrases. Search for keywords using online tools such as this one by Digital Point.

Use Lots of Links:

In addition to to articles and posts outside of your blog, be sure to link to post inside your blog as well. If you wish for certain posts to come up with certain keyword phrases, "anchor" those keywords to the post. For instance, if I wish to have this article rank high in searches for "Blog SEO, I will use a link with those words every time I use this piece as reference.

Make Sure Other Blogs Link to You:

One of the best ways to catch the attention of search engines is to have lots of back links. Create link-worthy content and encourage others to link to your blog and posts.
Update Often:

Search engines like to see lots of content. By posting several times a day, the search engine spiders are more likely to index your pages. Now, of course, you want to provide quality content with important keywords. Don't just provide content for content's sake.
Be Patient:

It takes time to rank in the search engines. If you want to make it onto the first page it can take months, over a year even. While you're waiting, work diligently to provide content and encourage others to link to you.

HOW TO FIND KEYWORD FOR UR BLOG

How to Use a Keyword

If you would like search engines to place your blogs on their first few pages, you might want to do some keyword research to find the best words and phrases for your site. This is called Search Engine Optimization, or SEO.

What is a Keyword?:

A keyword is a word or phrase used to describe a topic to a search engine. For instance, if you're searching for "Blogger.com", you'll type that exact phrase into the search engine, making it a keyword. If I wanted to write about this particular platform, I would research the popular search terms associated with Blogger.com and use the most popular keyword several times in my article in hopes of bringing in those using that particular search term.

How Does One Find Keywords?:

If you want to find the keyword, or keywords, to best optimize your blog post, you'll need to research using some of the popular keyword tools. Google Adwords is one such tool, and Overture is another. One of the better tools is Digital Point which shows keyword results between two different keyword tools. Choose the keyword with the highest amount of searches, this is the term most people use when searching for your topic.

I Found a Keyword, Now What?:

Now that you know what keyword or phrase is most popular for your topic, you'll want to use it to create useful content. Write a post that makes sense and try and use the keyword in the title and several times throughout the post. This will optimize your content for the search engines, and hopefully, help you rank high so others visit your blog.

BLOGGERS"S FAQ

Everything You Want to Know about Blogging but were Afraid to Ask

Though blogging is a popular pastime and even an income generator, there are still plenty of people who aren’t quite sure what blogging is or what it involves. If you’re new to blogging or the blogging community, these Frequnetly Asked Questions can help to fill in the blanks.

What is a blog?

Technically, a blog, short for web log, is a series of posts arranged in chronological order. Most blogs are created with readers in mind in hopes of building a lively community.

Why do people blog?

Bloggers blog for any number of reasons. Some do so to promote a business while others blog to discuss an interest. Still others do so in hopes of earning money with advertising revenue.

What is the difference between a blog and a website?

A blog is generally maintained by an individual with posts arranged by date.

Under each post is a section for comments. A website, on the other hand, tends to be more for business purposes, with content being saved and presented as an article. Many websites do not allow for community building or comments.

What should I blog about?

Blogs can be about anything! Some bloggers do so to “rant” about politics or other hotbed topics, while others choose a particular area of expertise to discuss. Niche blogs tend to receive more traffic than blogs that ramble on about no particular subject.

How can I make money blogging?

If you wish to make money blogging, you can do so by researching the different advertising methods to see which works best for your needs.

What is a blog platform?

A blog platform is the host or program you use to publish your blog. Some of the more popular platforms include Blogger, MySpace and Wordpress. If you choose a free platform, you can use a subdomain owned by your host. Most paying platforms allow for you to have your own domain.

How can I bring traffic to my blog?

It takes time to build up blog traffic. There are several ways you can do this, one of best is by visiting other similar blogs and posting in the comments. You can also submit your posts to social media sites such as Digg. Just be patient and don’t expect to see thousands of visitors right away.

What is a blogroll?

A blogroll is usually found in a blog’s sidebar and contains links to other blogs.

How do I get started blogging?

It’s simple. First choose a platform, then begin! There’s really not much more to it than that. Blogging is so easy anyone can do it. Most platforms are user friendly and set up like a word processing program. Take the tutorial, read the FAQs and start typing!

How often should I post?

Update your blog as often as possible! If you want people to stop by every day, you have to post every day. Nothing kills traffic like sporadic posts.

How much does it cost to blog?

Blogging doesn’t have to cost a dime. If you want to blog on your own domain or if you want to use a subscription-based platform, it will cost you. For the most part however, blogging costs absolutely nothing.

BENEFITS OF BLOGGING

The perks of owning a blog
There's a reason blogging is so addictive! Think again! While it's true that anyone can start a blog and throw one into cyberspace, the fact is very few people can successfully pull it off. If you want to truly make it as a blogger, you need to have several things. I'm not talking laptops and software, indeed those are important. Most of what you need to become a successful blogger can't be found in stores, or even blogs about blogging.

1. Passion for Your Topic
If you choose a topic you love, your passion will show through. If you choose a topic you don't know much about only because of the high paying keywords, that will be apparent as well.

2. Creativity
You're going to need to update your blog, at the very least, several times a week. A successful blogger is creative enough to come up with fresh, engaging content every time.

3. A Good Idea
Not the same idea as everyone else. Not a copycat of someone else's blog. But your own unique, good idea. If you want to make it as a blogger, you have to have great content and a fresh idea.

4. A Good Work Ethic
If you think blogging is just writing a quick five minute post and forgetting about it until next time, you couldn't be more wrong. You're going to spend hours on your blog designing it, writing it, promoting it and more. Most bloggers spend two to five hours on each blog every day.

5. The Ability to Work Alone
Most bloggers work alone. You have to be able to shut out all of the distractions of home or the coffee shop and concentrate on creating a good post.

6. A Notebook
You're going to come up with ideas at the oddest times. What if you're not close to your computer? It's helpful to have a notebook or PDA handy so you can jot down ideas.

7. A Thick Skin
You're going to be flamed, you're going to be trolled and people are going to pick your blog posts apart and call you names. You can let it get to you or you can develop a thick skin.

8. A Thriving Social Network
It helps to have people to talk to, network with, and shoot ideas off of. This will not only help to eliminate the loneliness some probloggers experiences, but by interacting with others you're sure to come up with fresh new ideas.

9. Motivation
What keeps you motivated? Passion for your topic? Advertising revenue? The adoration of your public? Whatever it is, channel it and use it to keep you driven.

10. Longevity
Blogging isn't a fly by night operation. If you want to succeed, if you want your readers to trust your name, you'll want your blogs to last through the ages. The most successful blogs have been around for a few years. It's the people who cut bait and run after two months of blogging that fail.

11. Long Term Vision
Do you have a plan? Where do you see your blog two years from now? Five years? Ten? A successful blogger has the ability to see into the future. I'm not saying you know exactly what you're going to blog about, but you'll need to think about how your blog is going to succeed for years to come.

12. The Ability to Work Odd Hours
Blogging isn't exactly a 9 to 5 gig. Ideas hit at any time. Many probloggers even work well into the night or the wake at the crack of dawn to fit blogging into a busy day.

13. A Willingness to Learn New Things
As a blogger you want to continue to feed your readers new information. This means you'll have to set a portion of your day aside to read other blogs, books, magazines and websites in your niche.

14. An Open Mind
Sometimes bloggers need to completely change their line of thinking. What might have worked a year ago, doesn't work now. Tools and techniques become obsolete. Keep an open mind, don't be afraid to admit defeat and always be on the lookout for new trends and ideas.

15. The Ability to Teach
Blogging isn't about talking about yourself. It's about sharing what you know with someone else. Many bloggers are teachers, not story tellers. Though the ability to tell a story is also something a successful blogger must possess.

16. Patience
It's been said here many times, patience pays off. Blogging isn't instant gratification. It takes time and patience to build up a successful blog. If you want an instant pay out, stick with copywriting.

EXPLODE UR TRAFFIC WITH STUMBLEUPON AND DIGG

EXPLODE UR TRAFFIC WITH STUMBLEUPON AND DIGG

StumbleUpon or Digg?

So, you have a great new post, one you feel others will surely appreciate. How will you call attention to it, StumbleUpon or Digg? Both have the potential to send huge amounts of traffic your way, but is one better than the other?

StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is a very cool social networking and bookmarking site. The premise is simple, install the toolbar, click the icon to surf, and give the thumbs up sign to the blogs and websites you like. Submitting your blog in this manner will enter it into the StumbleUpon queue. Now other Stumblers might come upon your blog through their own surfing.

The more Stumblers giving your blog the thumbs up, the more traffic you will receive. Many sites and blogs receive thousands of stumbles in a single day thanks to member approval.

The thing to remember is that large bursts of traffic can be short lived. While you might see flowing traffic from StumbleUpon for a good week or two, after that you might get only a stumble or two here or there. The good news is that you more than likely landed a few new regular readers. Super Stumbles might not happen often, but there's a good chance you'll continue to receive traffic from StumbleUpon weeks after submitting your blog.

Digg

Digg is a whole other ballgame. Like StumbleUpon, it's a simple premise. You submit your article or blog post to Digg in hopes of other "Diggers" voting on it. If you're lucky you'll get a few dozen Diggs. It's not easy to get huge amounts of Diggs, and even more difficult to get your article on the front page. If you do, your traffic will sky rocket to amazing levels.

Digg traffic doesn't last long, however. If you receive lots of Diggs, you might see traffic for a few days. If you only get a Digg or two, you'll probably only see that many visitors. Unlike StumbleUpon, where your blog may continue to turn up when Stumblers surf weeks later, with Digg, the more time that passes, they less likely it is for someone to come upon your post.
Which is best for your blog?

Both Digg and StumbleUpon have their pros and cons. If you can submit to both, by all means do so. You're sure to get some traffic as a result. You have a better result of being Stumbled than Dugg. Since StumbleUpon allows Stumblers to visit random sites, the chance of someone landing on your blog is a lot higher than if they were to find it on Digg. Unless you're in the top couple of pages, most people won't know you exist.

Test them both out to see what works best for you. Both Diggers and Stumblers love to share great content. Give them something to talk about and submit to both.

STRATEGIES TO EARN MORE MONEY

Having read the blogs of many successful bloggers I have tried to analyze what are the strategies they follow to take their blog to the top of the blogosphere. What makes the A-list bloggers tick? What are the characteristics which make the successful blog stand out?

I have classified the strategies followed by highly effective bloggers under four main types..............

CREATE A BLOG

The first step is to create a blog as obviously you cannot have a successful blog without going through the agony and ecstasy of creation.

1. Choosing a subject : If you want to blog successfully you have to choose a subject close to your heart. A subject which you should be passionate about. This has two advantages. One you will never get bored and stop posting to your blog. Secondly since you are passionate about the subject you will probably already have a large amount of information on the subject and - as the heart rules the head - are actively involved in finding more about it. It will also help a lot if you are blogging about your career and area of expertise. It will help even more if you choose to provide solutions to common problems in your blog. This is better than having an opinion blog full of rants and raves unless you are already a top-notch journalist with an existing audience.

2.
