Okay, this isn't a commercial, just a little background. Nokia (remember them, the biggest cell-phone producer in the world?) has released the N8 which includes a 12 MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens. To show it off, they've commissioned this stop-motion animation which was filmed with the N8 phone and a microscope.

There's nothing new about timelapse animations but you don't normally see them created on a dolly outside of Hollywood movies. A camera dolly might seem like a small thing but it turns these animations into drop-droppers.

Google is supporting a move to HTML 5 and has an experiment page to give Internet users an idea of what can be accomplished with the new coding. Their latest experiment is a new video by Arcade Fire. Ignite is a great concept. You get five minutes and 20 slides to talk about whatever you'd like - and to keep you on track, your slides will advance every 15 seconds whether you're ready for the next slide or not. The topic may be useful and inspiring or a complete waste of time. This video, from Ignite Lansing, falls into the latter category unless of course you are in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.
