Yesterday, we returned home from a weekend visit to the Texas Motor Speedway.  You won't be surprised when I tell you that this trip was prompted by our resident NASCAR fan, LT.  Don't they look excited to stand on pit road? They didn't take home the cup, but they did get a picture with it. The speedway is impressively large - and the boys have sore legs to prove it.

Uncle Eric and Aunt Shelby were in our neck of the woods recently, and they stopped by for a visit.  While they were only here for a short while, they managed to find time to take the boys on a shopping spree and helped us celebrate Ted's birthday.  Needless to say, they were a big hit with the boys.  LT and Gabe keep asking me when Eric and Shelby are coming back and telling

Miss Laura turned one at the end of the September.  I simply cannot believe how fast the time went and how much she has changed and grown.  Hope you enjoy the video.  Party pics coming soon.

Happy Halloween from our three little ghouls: Meet the Dark Voyager, from the Fortnite video game: A t-rex fossil: And Snow White: We had another rainy Halloween this year.  Thankfully, there's a good indoor Halloween event at church.  This event, followed by a stop at the nearby Baskin Robbins and fast food establishment, is becoming a Halloween tradition. I think

It was brought to my attention that the videos in my recent posts weren't working.  I've fixed them all.  Enjoy!

Laura is approaching the 10 month mark and looks like she will be walking soon.  Here's a short video that shows her trucking around the living room. And here's a fun bonus - Gabe puts his motor skills on display while mommy tries to capture Laura's initial steps:

We celebrated Ted's 9th birthday with Grandma & Grandpa Gonzalez & Cousin Matt.  Grandma made LT's birthday cake, which depicted a replica of Dale Jr.'s race car, and some yummy NASCAR sugar cookies. She also brought this, which made the whole house much more festive: As always, Ted's birthday requests were simple.  All he really wanted was to eat his favorite foods

How can it be that my baby is already nine years old?  Can it be possible that this smiley, happy baby is now a boy just one year away from his double digits?  Where did the time go?

We had the pleasure of hosting our first visitors from Oregon over the course of the last two weeks.  Great Grandma Laura Mae (Laura's namesake) and Aunt Carol arrived the Saturday before Father's Day, just in time to enjoy some Texas BBQ.   This is what happens when we BBQ - playtime on the swingset. Their visit was filled with visits local attractions,

We're pretty partial to our new house.  Here, we've enjoyed some amazing sunsets,  ominous storm clouds (it looks like the clouds might swallow the house, here), drenching downpours (where does all this water come from?), beautiful sunrises,   and hay farming!  OK, so that's not us doing all the hard work on the tractor, but we are

I can hardly believe this guy is already 4.  To him, this day hasn't come fast enough.  He's ready to run off to school with his big brother.  He knows what kind of back pack and lunch box he wants, and he's ready to help me fill them up. Luckily, I get to keep him home for one more year. Gabe's birthday was just one week after Easter.  We didn't get

This year, we celebrated Easter by baptizing Gabriel and Laura at our church's Easter Vigil service.  We were lucky enough to have lots of family members join us in the celebration, including Gabriel's godfather (Uncle Eric),  Laura's godparents (Cousins Erica & Greg) Grandma Gonzalez, Aunt Janie, Uncle Bob, Grandma & Grandpa Robles, and the cousins.

Here’s a few pictures from last Christmas.  Since I still have a few Christmas decorations up in the house, I guess these pics aren’t late . . . My mother-in-law made a couple of beautiful flower arrangements and a wreath to help us make the house look festive, while the boys and Cousin Matthew were responsible for the tree decorations.  Everything looked lovely, and

You may have noticed that we didn't post much last year.  That's not because we didn't have things to talk about.  Quite the contrary - we had our hands full.  Let's take a look back at what happened: A couple of significant milestones during 2016 set the tone for 2017. And early in the year, we learned about a new addition to the family.  We did some sightseeing

On New Years Eve 2007, we began this blog to chronicle our remolding adventures with our recently purchased condo. Ten years, five moves, and three children later, we are still at it.  Our focus has definitely shifted.  Remodeling efforts on the condo were completed 5 years ago.  We spend most of our time here talking about what our kiddos are up to and watching them grow. That

Haven't had much of a chance to post pictures of Laura - more on that later.  In the meantime, we hope you enjoy some of our most recent pics of the little princess.
