Once you downloaded an iPod Movie from iPod Lounge you will now be able to sync these iPod movies to your iPod, iPhone or iTouch using iTunes. The recommended way to transfer an iPod movie to your iPod, iTouch or iPhone is to Add the File to your Library using iTunes 9:

Select File in the iTunes Source list (the top navigation menu)

Choose File > Add File to Library (or press Ctrl+O).

Select the Movie that you downloaded from iPod Lounge and click Open.

On Windows XP, the movie file should be located:

C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDesktop

On Windows VISTA and WINDOWS 7, the movie file should be located:

C:/Users/[username]/Desktop (example: C:/Users/John/Desktop)

Now you should see the movies in your iTunes window

For this example we are going to add the iPod movie Ninja Assassin available at iPod-Lounge.

Connect to your iPod to your computer using its USB 2.0 cable.

Next click on your iPod, iTouch or iPhone icon on located on the left menu tree. What you see on your iTunes window is all the files and applications that you currently have installed on your device as well as all the files that are on your computer that can be synced with your device. The first screen you will see after you click on your iPod name is the summary screen.

You can navigate by choosing one of the tabs on the top menu bar

Click on the Movies Tab and you will see all of the movies available in your iTunes (including the movie we added in steps 1 thru 3 above)

The movies you already have installed on your iPod, iPhone or iTouch will have a check mark next to them. To remove a movie from your iPod, iPhone or iPod Touch simply uncheck the box next to the movie thumbnail then click the sync button. Not to worry, the movie will not be deleted from your computer, just your iPod. The movie will remain in your iTunes Library Folder.

You will not need to sync the movie you just added (Ninja Assassin) to your iPod, iPhone or iTouch by checking the box next to the movie title.

After you check the movies that you want to sync you need to click the Apply button at the bottom right of your iTunes window.

Once you check all the movies that you want to add to your iPod, iPhone or iTouch and you clicked the Apply button as shown above, just click the Sync button at the bottom right of your iTunes window like shown below

You can now disconnect your iPod, iPhone or iTouch from your computer and enjoy watching the iPod movies that you just purchased from http://www.iPod-Lounge.com

This quick and easy article will show you how to do this in the best quality while saving time, effort and money!

1 Download HandBrake by going to the HandBrake homepage here: http://handbrake.fr/
Click the "Downloads" link on the left side of the website and download the "GUI" file for your particular operating system.

2 Install HandBrake by following the prompts after the download and using the default settings.

3 Once HandBrake has finished installing, insert your desired DVD into your computer's DVD drive.
Cancel out any messages that appear as a default.

4 As a default, HandBrake will ask you which Movie file you would like to convert. Navigate to your DVD drive. This is in "My Computer" on Windows or on the left side of the window on a Mac (as pictured).

5 HandBrake will then process the DVD and prepare for the conversion process. This could take a couple of minutes depending on your computer's speed.

6 After HandBrake is finished, you will need to choose the size that you want to convert the DVD into. There is a "Toggle Presets" button on the top right side of HandBrake. Click the button to show the preset video options. Under the "Apple" section, there are choices for "iPhone & iPod Touch" and "iPod".
Note: For 4G Nano's choose "iPod".

7 Once you have your settings chosen, you need to choose where you want to converted movie file to go. As a default, HandBrake will put it on the desktop. To choose another location, click the "Browse" button and navigate to the desired location.

8 After you have chosen your location, click "Start". HandBrake will start the encoding process. Leave your computer for a couple hours as HandBrake does it's job. My computer takes a little over an hour to convert a full length DVD.

9 When HandBrake says it is finished, just drag your new movie file into iTunes and sync up your iPod or iPhone. You're finished!

iPhone Repair: How to Obtain a Longer Life From Your iPhone Battery

By markfreelance

Retaining the quality of your iPhone battery will save you a fair amount of money in the long run, so I would like to take a moment and offer some tips and advice on iPhone battery care and how you can optimize the life and charge of your battery to enable you to keep that cash in your pocket for as long as possible.

Step 1 Retaining the quality of your iPhone battery will save you a fair amount of money in the long run, so I would like to take a moment and offer some tips and advice on iPhone battery care and how you can optimize the life and charge of your battery to enable you to keep that cash in your pocket for as long as possible.

So the first thing to mention for iPhone battery care would be a proper charge cycle, a correctly maintained iPhone battery can retain up to 80% of it´s full capacity for 400 full charge and discharge cycles, therefore it is important to not overcharge, or undercharge the battery whenever possible. Allowing your iPhone´s battery to run completely flat once in a while is great, but at other times allow it to run as low as possible before charging it again, and when you do charge try to achieve the maximum charge replacing full life back into the battery.

Step 2 Achieve the maximum ability from your battery – this will not only help you monitor the life of the battery, but also take us back to tip one and ensure a good charge cycle is in operation. For example an iPhone 3G genuine battery will offer you 12 hours of talk time, 10 hours of video viewing, 9 hours of Wi-Fi use or 30 hours of audio playback from a full charge, try to be aware of how your iPhone is being used and how the battery is standing up to the task – also bearing I mind that standby time is somewhere around the 300 hour mark.

Allow the battery to breathe – if you are charging your battery in some carrying cases they tend to generate excessive heat which can affect the capacity of your battery, if you are aware that your iPhone is becoming warm during it´s charge remove it from it´s case prior to commencing the charge. The ideal temperature for your iPhone and it´s battery is between 32 and 95 Fahrenheit. Also when charging from a USB to a computer ensure that the computer is switched on, a sleeping or turned off computer can cause the iPhone battery to drain which will disturb your charging cycle and degrade the battery.

Step 3 And one last pointer, is try to generate regular use from your phone, the lithium-based batteries perform better when the electrons are kept active inside, and make sure that whatever happens with your charging the iPhone battery receives your full care by giving it a minimum of one full charge (100% of the battery life) per month.

These iPhone battery care tips have been provided by iPhonePartsPro – your one stop shop online for all iPhone spares, and parts for home repair and maintenance, they also stock a great variety of genuine iPhone batteries for all models and should not be underestimated when you are seeking a quality service.

iPhone: How to Turn your iPhone into a Hard Drive

By avi90

Ever need to take a decent amount of files with you but you didn't have a portable drive or numerous thumb drive? Do you have an iPhone? If so you can use your iPhone as a portable hard drive and take your files where ever you go comfortably and without having to lug around an extra device

Step 1
Now there are a few different methods to converting your iPhone into a storage device. The two most basic routes to go include:

1. Applications designed for this in Apple's App Store
2. Third Party Software which you can download online

Within each category are free and paid for programs and apps which you will be able to use.

Step 2
First off, are the Apps that turn your iPhone into storage devices. Here are some common ones

•Discover: is currently the only free App to do this. It includes a viewer, and transfer support for Mac, Windows and Linux based system completely wirelessly. This App also allows iPhone to iPhone data transfer.

•Air Sharing Pro: Does this as well in addition to being able to Email and Print files wirelessly from your iPhone. It also allows the ability to view compressed and zipped files without the need to unzip them. However this is not free and will set you back $9.99.

•Briefcase: is also another wireless storage device that offers much of the same capabilities as the two apps above but for $4.99. Some notable capabilities are the ability to view sound files and transfers supporting SFTP and SSH. It also has a Lite version which is free but with some limitations. This App does not support PC transfer without some technical experience however.

Step 3
The other form are third party software for independent companies. Most of these programs are free but you will find some you will have to pay for. Here's some of the most common TPS to install on your computer.

•iPhoneBrowser
•DiskAid
•iPhoneDriver
•PhoneView

They aren't wireless transfers but it'll get the job done nonetheless.

iPhone Internet Connection: How to Connect to a VPN From an iPhone

By Alexia Petrakos

A VPN (or Virtual Private Network) is a technology that allows you to connect to a remote network from wherever you happen to be using the Internet. VPN is encrypted, so it's safe, and once you are connected it's exactly like physically being on the other network.
Typical uses for a VPN are connecting multiple separate business locations together or allowing individual workers to telecommute, so that they can work from home. In this article I will explain how to create a VPN connection from an iPhone to such a network.

Step 1 Make sure you have an Internet connection. 3G does work for this, but Wi-Fi is preferred. Edge is going to be really slow.

Step 2 Go to Settings > General > Network on your iPhone. Here you'll find choices for 3G, Data Roaming, Wifi and VPN. The others have a switch and VPN just says "Not Configured." Tap VPN.

Step 3 Tap "Add VPN Configuration" on the VPN page. VPN is switched off by default.

Step 4 Enter the credentials for the VPN connection on the next screen. If you don't know them you will need to talk to your network administrator or whoever set up the VPN server. Setting up a VPN connection is very specific, so if one little thing is not set right you won't be able to get in.

Step 5 Choose the type of encryption that the connection uses at the top of this screen. Your choices are L2TP, PPTP, and IPSec. This completely depends upon how the server you are connecting to was set up. For this example we are going to choose PPTP.

Step 6 Enter a description. This is just the name of the connection, and can be anything you want.

Step 7 Enter the IP address of the VPN server you are connecting to in the “Server” area. This is normally going to be the Public IP address of the other network on the Internet.

Step 8 Type in your username in the "Account" field and enter your password in the "Password" field. If the network you are connecting to is on a domain, you may need to format the Account field like this: "domainname\username" (without the quotes) to work correctly. If you would prefer for it to ask you for your password each time you connect instead of having it saved in the iPhone, you can just leave the Password field blank. All of the other settings you can just leave as the defaults unless your network administrator specifically says otherwise. When you are done, tap "Save."

Step 9 Set the switch to "On" and it will try to connect. If you didn't save your password in the connection settings, it will ask you for it now.

*Note: Sometimes I've found that I need to try to connect twice before it will successfully connect, so before you start to troubleshoot your settings try to connect a couple of times first.

Step 10 Once you are successfully connected you will see a blue "VPN" up at the top of your iPhone screen, your status will say "Connected" and a timer will start running showing you how long you have been connected.

Step 11 Set the VPN switch back to "Off" to disconnect.

Step 12 So you're connected, now what? Anything that you could have done from the network if you were actually there you can do through the VPN. Connect to a computer remotely, check an interoffice website, check interoffice email; it's up to you

iPone: How to Unlock iPhone 3.0 3G/3GS Firmware with Ultrasnow

By nickkho

Step 1
I strongly recommend you backup your iPhone via iTunes BEFORE you begin this guide.

Step 2 Upgraded your iphone 3G/3GS to 3.0 firmware via iTunes, jailbreak the iphone using redsn0w, install cydia or icy.

Step 3 After your iPhone is jailbroken and installled either cydia or icy, run cydia or icy, add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com to cydia or icy. Search for “ultrasn0w” and install it. Reboot your iPhone. Your iPhone is unlocked and you are done.

Step 4 If you want to unlock the phone temporarily when you travel only, you need to install "BossPrefs" and "BossPrefs UltraSn0w toggle for Bossprefs" in cydia or icy. Simply search for the term "BossPrefs" and "BossPrefs UltraSn0w toggle for Bossprefs" and install both of them. You will have an icon "BossPrefs" on your springboard.

Step 5
Trap "BossPrefs", and you will see few toggles, you can turn on and off the ultrasn0w and other functions.

iPhone Repair: How to Fix a Broken iPhone Speaker

By Doug Akridge

Are your speakers not working on your iPhone? You can't hear anything when someone tries to call you? This is a fairly common problem and unfortunately it is a hardware issue instead of a software issue, this means that simply rebooting the phone won't fix it. However there is a fix! I'll explain it:

1. The reason for this is because there is probably dust or some other object lodged in your headphone dock, on top of your iPhone. So let's clean it! Go and grab a Q-tip and your earphones.

2. Just to double check, go ahead and restart your iPhone. There is a possibility that your iPhone doesn't fall into the hardware problem and it actually is just a software issue. If that didn't work, move onto step 3.

3. Now take your headphones and insert it into the headphone jack, pull it out, and then put it back in again. Try doing this several times and it should go back to normal. If that still doesn't work, go to step 4.

4. Take a Q-tip and cutoff the top so a very small amount of the cotton is on there. Damp the cut end in Windex and insert it into the headphone jack so you can clean it out. You will be surprised at how much dust is trapped in there! If you are still out of luck, move onto step 5.

5. If you are reading this step because your iPhone still doesn't work, then I'm sorry. The final solution is go to the Apple store. There is something wrong with your phone and it needs more attention than ear plugs and Q-tips. Don't bother calling Apple because they will tell you to plug and unplug your headphones 5 times as fast as you can (you could also try this again).

iPhone Repair: How to Carry Out An iPhone Screen Replacement Repair

By markfreelance

One of the most complex repairs on an iPhone is a screen replacement repair, before you attempt this repair be sure to have sufficient time to complete the task, and have a clear working space for your iPhone and the replacement screen to sit in while working on them.

1. For a replacement screen repair it is necessary to completely disassemble the iPhone, therefore I would suggest that prior to commencing the repair get a few small pieces of paper in order to label your parts, and I particular the origin of the screws. Label them as follows; Metal Back Screws, aluminum back case, and motherboard – lay them out on the workspace in this order with a small space between them for the other iPhone components and replacement screen to lie in.

The tools and equipment required for this repair are; a case opener, a small Phillips screwdriver, a paperclip to eject the SIM tray and the iPhone replacement screen, once you have these to hand and the paper labels lined up. Be sure to have clean hands before starting the repair.

2. Firstly remove the SIM tray – do this by inserting the paper clip in the hole on the topside of the iPhone next to the power button, when the clip is inserted, the SIM tray should eject. Next, use the case opener to remove the plastic back of the iPhone. Lay these two components next to the paper labels, after you have fitted the replacement screen into your iPhone you will need to reverse the order of these instructions to reassemble the iPhone. For this reason, I would suggest placing them furthest from you next to the aluminum paper label.
The next step is to remove the two small screws on either side of the back securing the metal casing, and another screw located top, middle of where you removed the plastic back – placing these on the paper label. Once you have completed this, take the case opener again and carefully run it along both sides of the iPhone to loosen the back away from the frame – you will notice the metal back is secured by a wire ribbon, carefully detach this from the main section of the iPhone, not the metal back end.

3. The next step in the screen replacement repair needs caution – it is required to remove the iPhone antenna cable, secured by glue in three positions, carefully pry it loose of the glue spots. After this, you will need to remove 10 screws from around the sides of the iPhone, and place them on the paper label ‘Outside Case’ – after this remove the 3 screws securing the motherboard. You need to remove the motherboard at the same time as the battery as they are soldered together, once you have done this you can carefully detach the remaining iPhone frame.

The next step is to remove the LCD screen in order to fit the replacement screen – this is possibly the most difficult part of the repair and needs to be done with extreme caution. Loosen the 3 clips on the sides of the screen and slowly begin removing the LCD, you will see some wires are intertwined into the Iphone – carefully guide them through the frame and, they will slide right through.

4. Once you have completed this, take the iPhone screen replacement and insert it into the phone, carefully trace your steps to ensure that no errors are made when assembling the iPhone back to its original state.

he iTunes program is compatible with all different kinds of audio files, but if you use iTunes to rip a CD or download music from the iTunes store, you will notice that it is in an AAC format. While this format works perfectly with many personal music players, including iPods and Zunes, the MP3 format is nearly universal among digital music players. If you have a heap of iTunes-specific music files, you can convert them into the more conventional MP3 format in a few short steps.

Step 1
Remove the Digital Rights Management (DRM) from any files purchased from iTunes. Any files you have purchased directly from iTunes will have DRM, which will prevent the file from being converted. However, if you click on these songs, there should be an option to remove the DRM, usually for about 20 to 30 cents. If you do not have the latest version of iTunes, you will not see this option, so it is vital that you update your iTunes before proceeding.

Step 2
Find the iTunes directory on your computer. This is usually in the "My Music" section of your computer, but can be placed somewhere else if you have specified a different location.

Step 3
Copy all the files to a folder on the desktop. Simply highlight the tracks in the iTunes directory that you wish to format, and then right click and select copy. Create a new folder on the desktop by right-clicking the desktop and choosing "New" and then "Folder," and then paste the files into this new folder.

Step 4
Create another new folder on the desktop. Do not put anything in it, as this is where your new MP3 files will eventually go. Make sure to name it something memorable as you do not want to confuse it with the folder you created in Step 3.

Step 5
Run an audio formatting program such as Format Factory (see Resources below). For Format Factory, simply click on the "All to MP3" tab and then browse for the folder containing the iTunes files that you created in Step 3. Then set the target folder to the empty folder you created in Step 4 and click "OK." A status bar will pop up, letting you know that the conversion process is under way. When finished, you should have MP3 copies of the selected iTunes songs in your new folder.

iPhones: How to Use Google Maps on the iPhone

One of the most exciting and useful applications available on the iPhone is Google Maps, giving you the ability to find locations by street address, map out directions and even view satellite pictures of specific places around the world. The advantage of using Google Maps on the iPhone as opposed to other similar phones is that it was designed to integrate directly with the service by developers at Apple and Google
Learning to use Google Maps on the iPhone is simple if you remember a few tips.

Step 1
Tap on the "Maps" icon on the home screen of the iPhone to open the Google Maps application. You will see a small search field at the top of the screen. Tap on the search field to make the keypad appear on the iPhone's screen.

Step 2
Type an address into the search field using the keypad. You can use almost anything on the map as search terms, including the names of towns, cities, street intersections, landmarks or zip codes, but it is always best to be as specific as possible. Tap "Search" when you have finished typing and a small pin will appear on the screen marking the approximate location on the map.

Step 3
Find out more information about the location you have searched for by tapping on the pin. The name of the location and a short description will appear if it is available from the Google Maps database. If a phone number or website address is available, relevant buttons will appear that will automatically connect you via phone or Internet if you tap them.

Step 4
View a satellite image of the location you have searched by tapping on the icon labeled "Satellite" to switch to satellite view from the map. You can zoom in and zoom out using the same finger motions used to do so on the map. Scroll around the satellite image by tapping on a different area of the map to make it automatically become the new center of the image.

Step 5
Use Google Maps on the iPhone to get directions to a specific location by tapping "Directions" on the map and entering the beginning and ending locations in the "Start" and "End" fields. Tap "Route" to view the directions, tapping on the small black arrow icon to view the directions one step at a time or the small eye icon to see a list of all the steps involved.

iPhones: How to Make Your iPhone Battery Last Longer

By Avi 90
Many iPhone users such as myself love their iPhones dearly but are annoyed by the short battery life when the phone is used excessively. However here are few tips to keep the battery alive longer and drain slower.
Step 1
Keep your iPhone as close to room temperature as possible. Room temperature being 72º F and will function perfectly 32º to 95º F. At the very extreme the battery will function correctly between -4º to 113º F so anything outside that range will permanently damage the battery's ability to retain a charge.

Step 2
Use the iPhone's Auto-Brightness feature to help retain battery life. The way it works is the iPhone uses its camera to detect how much light there is at your location and adjusts the screen brightness accordingly. To set it go to Settings > Brightness > Auto-Brightness: On

Step 3
Turn Notification off. Doing so turns slows battery drainage and is usually one of the lesser used features. It can easily be done by going to Settings > Notifications: Off.

Step 4
Turn Bluetooth off. Unless you have a bluetooth device that you are constantly use of course, but if you don't go to Settings > General > Bluetooth: Off.

Step 5
The same can be done to Wifi and 3G but this is usually much less practical.

Step 6
Let the battery fully charge and fully drain dead at least once a month. This ensures that the battery keeps the electrons in it's lithium-ion battery moving.

Step 7
Avoid after market iPhone chargers and car chargers. They do not charge at the same voltage or rate as your factory iPhone charger and as a result can damage the battery's charge capacity.

Step 8
When charging take off any carrying case it may be in. Charging while it's carrying case is on can produce excessive heat damaging the battery.

iPods: How to remove the iTunes trojan horse virus from your computer

By Earlyriser

If you use iTunes and an iPod, you don't have to be told how essential these two things can be when it comes to music, podcasts and videos. But what if your anti-virus software detects a small.BOG trojan horse in the iTunes folder on your computer? Well, no need to freak out, this is a false positive only on the AVG Anti-Virus software, and here is how you can add an exception in AVG and fix the problem.

Step 1
Open your AVG software so that you are seeing the main screen. Click Tools> Advanced Settings.

Step 2
Look for Resident Shield, and expand it and click the option "Exceptions."

Step 3
Next, click "Add Path," which is located on the top right of the screen. Choose the iTunes software folder, typically C:\Program Files\iTunes, or wherever you may have initially installed iTunes when your first set it up. Click the iTunes folder and select "OK."

Step 4
When you see the next screen, click "Apply." Then exit the AVG software.

Step 5
Finally, do a full restart on your computer. After Windows has loaded fully, you should be able to open up iTunes without any problem, now that the iTunes folder has been added as an exception.

Download free iTunes for MP3 and iPhones: How to Get Free MP3s and Other Digital Music to Download

Courts around the country are fining people outrageous amounts of money for illegally downloading and sharing music on peer-to-peer web sites like Limewire and KaZaA. A graduate student was just fined $22,500 per song. A Minnesota woman was fined $1.9 million for 24 songs. Ouch! And so unnecessary.

You can fill your music player or computer with tons of free music without risking becoming a defendant in a Recording Industry Association of America lawsuit. The web is full of sites where you can legally download free MP3s and other music files. Here is a partial list. Many of these sites only feature a few free downloads a day or week, but if you get in the habit of visiting the sites often you can fill your iPod, Zune, or other music player, save money, and expose yourself to new music.

Step 1
Amazon.com: (www.Amazon.com). Every day Amazon offers a new free MP3 download. You can find the new free download by visiting Amazon's special discount MP3 store. In addition to this daily download, Amazon offers hundreds of other free downloads.

From Amazon's home page click on "Digital Downloads," select "MP3 Downloads," and then click on "Free Song of the Day" or at the bottom of the page "Special MP3 Deals."

Step 2
iTunes. First you have to download iTunes to your computer. (www.iTunes.com).

The download is free. Once iTunes is installed go to the home page and scroll toward the bottom. You will see a section called "Free on iTunes" -- which lists the free songs, videos, episodes of TV shows, and other free content available each week. To the right you'll find a box that features free iPhone and iTouch applications. It is titled "Top Free Apps." iTunes also offers tons of free podcasts, which are the equivalent of free radio programming except that is not broadcast over the radio. If you are a music fan try the following podcasts. Find them by typing the name of the podcast in the search box:

KCRW's Today's Top Tune
KEXP Song of the Day
iTunes New Music Tuesday

If you like these podcasts you can subscribe to them and they will automatically download to your computer. And again, they are free.

Step 3
Fuse: (www.fuse.tv). Fuse features its free music downloads on its home page.

Step 4
Last FM: (http://www.last.fm/music/+free-music-downloads).

Step 5
Free Celtic Music: (http://www.celticmp3s.com/) On the home page click on the words in the center of the page that read "Download Free Celtic Music Now." Celtic MP3s Music Magazine is a monthly that offers new Celtic, Scottish, and Irish music from around the world. Start collecting downloads now and you'll be able to supply all the tunes on St. Patrick's Day.

Step 6
Artists Direct: (http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/freestuff/0,,,00.html) or from the home page click on "Free Stuff" and look for the free downloads (currently along the right hand side of the page).

Step 7
WE7: (http://www.we7.com/#/)
Offers free music downloads that can be played on any music player. The service is supported by advertising.

Step 8
MP3.com (www.mp3.com). From the home page click on "Free Music."

Step 9
MTV: (http://www.mtv.com/music/downloads/)

Step 10
Free Music Group: (www.freemusicgroup.com)

Step 11
Free Music Directory: (www.freemusicdirectory.com)

Step 12
ReverbNation: (www.reverbnation.com)
ReverbNation and Windows are offering 1,000 free music downloads. Click on the banner "1,000 Free Song Downloads" in the center of the page. The downloads are MP3s and M4As. You can download them all, if you wish, no charge.

Step 13
Jamendo: (www.jamendo.com). Jamendo allows artists to log on to share their music. As advertised on the home page, it's free, legal, and unlimited.

Step 14
Rhapsody: (www.Rhapsody.com). Rhapsody is a subscription service, but it offers some free downloads. From the home page click on "MP3" and then on the MP3 page click on "Free Song of the Day."

Step 15
Music makes everything better; and FREE music is just sweet. Help out the community of music lovers. If you know of a site that offers FREE downloads that are LEGAL, post it in the comments section. Likewise, if you learn that any of the links noted above have changed or no longer offer LEGAL downloads, leave a comment so they can be corrected and others can find and get great tunes.

Free iTunes Download; How to Download iTunes for Windows XP

iTunes for Windows XP is a specific version of the free digital media player offered through Apple. iTunes plays and organizes digital music and video files. iTunes is also an interface to manage iPod players as well as the iPhone.

Here’s how to download iTunes for Windows XP:

1. Install both a DVD ripper and a program that converts DVD rips into iTunes videos to your computer. Common choices for the DVD ripper include free DVD rippers like the Freez DVD Ripper, as well as Freeware Zoom's free DVD ripper. Most of these rip DVDs to MPEG or AVI format, so you'll want to get a program like DVD to iTunes converter to do it.

2. Insert your DVD into your computer's DVD drive and launch the program you've chosen to rip the DVD. Follow the program's manual to set the program up so that it rips in either MPEG or AVI format. It can take as long as a couple of hours for the DVD to rip, so be patient.

3. Open up the DVD to iTunes converter and select file>open. Find the file you've ripped and it open, followed by the convert button. To the right, you'll see where the file is output to--this is where it will be when you need to add it to iTunes.

4. After a while, the DVD to iTunes conversion process will be complete. If you notice any errors, you will want to try again using the steps above. If not, proceed to opening iTunes.

5. If you haven't already, go to the iTunes website and download the free iTunes player. It's absolutely essential you download and install this program, as you'll need it for the last two steps.

6. Once in iTunes, click on the file button at the top left and select "Import." From there, navigate to the folder where your DVD conversion was placed and select it. Then click "Open" and wait for it to appear in your video library.

7. If you've done everything right, you should see the whole DVD in your video library and it will then be available for play within iTunes, as well as be available for adding to your iPod. If you do not see the DVD, you will need to go back through the steps and make sure you've followed all of them.

iTunes: How to Add Downloaded iTunes Songs Onto a Samsung MP3 Player

1. Also, it has become a key to a virtual gold mine wherein independent iPhone app developers can earn millions of dollars.

Step1

The iPhone, being a revolutionary handset, has enforced radical changes in how people use cell phones. Also, it has become a key to a virtual gold mine wherein independent iPhone app developers can earn millions of dollars.

Step 2

The Apple application store had been distinct and at the same time tumultuous because it had post changes in the way the mobile applications are delivered and developed. It had made an open market wherein developers can turn from rags to riches and earn money with minimal resources, as long as they have the talent and the luxury of time.

Step 3

Apple has brought down the roadblocks to entry when it comes to creating iPhone applications. Although Apple will carry out 30% of the total sales, they will be responsible in providing the sales, development platforms, billing and distribution. This will then allow the developers to fully concentrate on the things they love or doing best without having the anxiety about the distribution, marketing and setting up payments.

Step 4

After its launching on July 2008, the Apple Store had become a source of a developer’s dream to come to a reality. For instance, Steve Demeter, the developer of the popular iPhone game called Trism had declared that he had attained $250,000 profit in only two months time. He had a few people helping him whom he had paid $500 each. If the flow continues at this rate, Demeter will roughly earn $2 million by the end of next year.

Step 5

Bart Decrem, CEO of Tapulous, had developed a free application called the Tap Tap Revenge which is a music-rhythm game that employs the use of the iPhone’s accelerometer and touch screen features had attain a milestone of a total of 1,000,000 downloads in two weeks time after its launching. An estimated of 1.75 million users have downloaded the game, Tap Tap Revenge and Decrem expects to double it in the next months. To gain more profits, the company Tapulous had inserted advertisements in the game. In the near future, the company plans to release a new version for them to earn more money. Moreover, Decrem had been silent to disclose the exact profit money, but the estimated earning of the iPhone application that his company is earning about $5,000 to $10,000 daily.

Step 6

For the above two developers, according to them, the recipe to success is paying attention to every detail, keeping the application alive and engaging in variety of game play and at the same time, spreading popularity. You must come up with the generic idea and implement it properly in order for you to stand out. Both Trism and Tap Tap Revenge was initially become known in the Jailbreak community and it call forth a loyal coming before it was launched in the Application store for a broader market. Both the developers of this application look at the App store to be an exciting landscape to enjoy and at the same time earn. They have been considered themselves as big fishes in the pond that have future plans in emerging in the iPhone applications market.

How to Get FREE Online Newspapers for your iPhone

By AnneZ

It doesn't get any easier to keep up with the news with all the FREE applications for online newspapers for the Apple iPhone.
Here's a quick step by step on how to get them on your iphone and read from anywhere you take your phone!

Step 1
Open iTunes on your desktop computer or just turn on your iPhone and hit the "App Store" logo.
On the desktop click on the iTunes store for App Store. This how-to addresses one of the worst of these problems: crashes. There are a few different kinds of crashes that can happen on an iPhone—and we will address each one in turn.

Step 1
CRASH TYPE ONE
You attempt to open an app and as the application is trying to open it immediately closes and returns to the home screen. This behavior might baffle some users of "that other operating system" because when an application crashes it takes the whole computer with it. But Mac, Linux and Unix users know exactly what just happened; the application crashed but the operating system did not. (What a novel concept.)

Step 2
CRASH TYPE ONE SOLUTION
Fortunately for iPhone users the solution to this is the easiest and actually takes a page from "that other operating system's" playbook. Just restart the phone. To do that hold down the Sleep/Awake button (the one at the very top next to the SIM card slot) until a red arrow appears and says, "Slide To Power Off." Slide the red arrow with your finger and the iPhone completely shuts off.

To turn it back on just hold down the Sleep/Awake button again until the Apple logo appears. Once the iPhone has completely restarted you should now be able to run the previously crashing App without any trouble.

Step 3
CRASH TYPE TWO
The opposite of the previous incident we spoke about would be when an iPhone application freezes while still open. Touching the iPhone does nothing and pressing the Home button (the one at the bottom for your thumb) does nothing. In this case, essentially the application itself has crashed. If this happened when we were on a real Mac in OSX, we would just do a "Force Quit" right? The "Force Quit" would kill the application but leave the Operating System unscathed. Well, fortunately, the iPhone is a real Mac and the iPhone Operating System is really OSX, so we can do a Force Quit here too.

Step 4
CRASH TYPE TWO SOLUTION
Hold down the Home button for about six seconds until it returns you to the Home Screen. By doing this you "Force Quit" the application that locked up. If you're still having trouble with your apps after that, restart the phone as described in the solution for Crash Type One (Step 2).

Step 5
CRASH TYPE THREE
Here's what to do when the mother of all crashes occurs to your iPhone. The Sleep/Awake button does nothing; the Home button does nothing and the Holy Water you sprinkled on it to exorcise the demons from it didn't help either.

Step 6
CRASH TYPE THREE SOLUTION
The secret to recovering from this kind of crash is to hold down both the Sleep/Awake and Home buttons at the same time. This is the equivalent of holding down the Power button on a PC or even just pulling the power cord of a PC clean out of the wall. The iPhone will go straight into a restart and you will see the Apple logo come up. No red arrows this time. Congratulations, you have just exorcised the demons from your iPhone!

How to Unlock Apple iPhone

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 135px; height: 124px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCwGEmCIe4OMvxd-9bK6bEeYV_xkom8LAH05VJsI8nJOEqj-ffu4HgOeUvQ2xxL8j61QeI8MBkOhXTrB43xMyJpRJ2YgkqxMoEWBYr8oSOA6AZGy6rq-phFY5c8MvWybhPL2UMhU9FsD0/s320/unlockiphone-main_Thumb.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5367377868110373346" />

By jmilgtp

Want an Apple iPhone but don't want to switch carriers?
