Football this week

2012-11-04T13:13:00.001-08:00

As sad as it sounds, the best thing about football this week is that my team CAN NOT lose. That's right, this week, my New York Jets WILL NOT lose. They have a bye week.

So, no sorrowful posts about how depressed I am this week. This week the Jets will go in to their room and "find their identity". I hope something gets fired up, and they put on a good show next week. Let's go Rex Ryan!

Hurricane Sandy

2012-11-01T08:27:00.001-07:00

So for those who were wondering, I survived Hurricane Sandy! In fact, my electricity didn't even go off. Strange how life works, but after surviving said Hurricane, I'm inspired to Blog again. I realize that I'm over productive at work, and have time for this hobby of mine again.

I'm looking over my banner, and realize that I haven't changed much in the past half a year or so, same interests and what not. I kind of quit Guild Wars 2, and more of a LoL player now. With work, I'm not sure if I'll ever fully immerse myself in a MMO again. My job works on overtime, so I'm always trying to sit at my desk and just derp haha.

Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend 3

2012-07-23T14:28:00.003-07:00

So my entire Sunday was devoured by this beast. Honestly, I didn't like it at first, because I wasn't comfortable with it.
Being a long time WoW player, not having to target and having spells go off was foreign to me, no having a linear quest line, the quick pace of everything around me, etc... but for the first time in a long time, with a MMO, I was able to have fun, like a child again. The thrill of freedom and exploration was something that I had completely not experienced with WoW for a long time, and the pressure of having to grind to level up quick to experience content was lifted. The only time I felt like I had to grind faster, harder, was when I glanced at my experience bar, which I'm trying not to do now. If you can just forget about that thing, the game is really fun as it is.

I played a Charr Ranger, which kind of looks like the above. The customization options are plentiful though, so I actually look nothing like that. I'll post more about this game later. Thanks for checking me out!

My Current Job

2012-07-20T07:00:00.002-07:00

I currently work at a place that rents construction equipment, such as excavators and bulldozers. I take their old equipment and I put them up on eBay to sell, along with anything they can find, a lot of liquidation items. People are selling out to large companies, and when they do, we somehow get first dibs on their "garbage". On top of that I do a lot of excel work, and typical Asian stuff. My official title?

Director of eCommerce

I'm back!

2012-07-19T07:28:00.000-07:00

Hi everybody!
It's been a while but I decided to pick up blogging again. Since my last post, I've actually switched jobs 3 more times and now I feel very settled in a job that I like and allows me the time to blog! I've also fully quit World of Warcraft, and am looking forward to Guild Wars 2. Life in general is a lot better now, and relaxing so that I can enjoy the finer things in life. I'll post about how my whole view on life has changed since I got this job, but more on that tomorrow!
It feels good to be back!

Basic explanation of my job

2011-09-09T12:24:00.000-07:00

So my basic job is that I work for this company called Schick. Not the razor brand. They manufacture these dental x-ray scanners. Now, instead of having that huge thing scan your entire head while you're positioning your head in an awkward position, you can just put a thing in your mouth and it takes an x-ray.
I'm mostly testing these things and making sure they work. I use more mental power playing 2-3 games of Starcraft than I do the entire day at work. It's a temp position for now, they'll re-evaluate me at the end of this month. Most likely they'll keep me. Just because it's me and I show that I can do this job with ease.
The pay isn't too good, the way you make money is they're really liberal with their overtime. They have other benefits too, such as health care, they have a gym, and... EDUCATIONAL REIMBURSEMENT. If I get full time, I'll most likely go back to school. Esp since that the company pays for half my parking spot here and it's across the street from a community college.

Posting during work breaks.

2011-09-08T12:28:00.000-07:00

I figured out a good time for me to post. Now that my netbook is pretty well set up, I can make blog posts during my breaks.
My company's break set up is pretty cool too.
1st break: 11:00 - 11:20
Lunch: 1:30 - 2:00
2nd break: 3:20 - 3:40
That's a total of an hour and 10 minutes of break!
So I have a decent amount of time to moderate comments and post. Blog on!

Delays of blogging

2011-09-07T19:39:00.000-07:00

So it's been a while, I know. As of my last post there have been two things that has kept me from being able to post as much as I'd like to.
1) I have acquired a full time job, manufacturing these x-ray scanners. More on that hopefully.
2) We had a few raiders quit and my comp broke for a while, and I usually blog while raiding.
3) My girlfriend's school started, so she's been sleeping over my house more.
Here's something that probably no one knows... This blog is actually a secret from everyone I know. It's a place where I can come and talk about stuff and get people's input without my friends finding out. A sanctuary so to say.
On the upside, I got a netbook, so once I get more comfortable with it, I can start blogging at work during my breaks. So hopefully more content soon! How are you all doing?!

Earthquake?

2011-08-23T18:59:00.000-07:00

So... I guess there was an earthquake in New York, but I didn't feel anything. I was returning from a job interview. More on that in a later post :P
In other news, no raid today :(

Fireman Update: Filed for Test

2011-08-22T18:51:00.000-07:00

So I filed for the Fireman test the other day. Online filing was $25, test being a long time from now. Now my question is... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO STUDY?! I tried to Google it, and they said that there are many fireman tests, and I'm not sure which one I'm supposed to be studying for. Oh well, maybe I'll just study for all of them, since I have a lot of time on my hands.

Fish!

2011-08-18T19:16:00.000-07:00

Hey, did you guys notice at the bottom, the fish gadget? I saw it on someone else's blogger and I was so distracted by it. It's pretty awesome! I like watching the fish arc to get to the food. What do you guys think?

New Background

2011-08-17T16:04:00.000-07:00

Hey! I finally got an official background. This was taken from someone's WordPress, and it looks like original art. The artist hasn't updated their WordPress in a long time, so I just kinda took it, saying I'll credit said artist in my next blog post. Anyways, I got it from the following site: http://elicourtney.wordpress.com/. There's some really really nice abstract pieces in there.

This thing is older than my Girlfriend...

2011-08-16T20:04:00.000-07:00

My dad was drinking this the other day with my God Father, and I realized that... this Macallan has been around longer than my girlfriend! Too bad I like bourbon over scotch :P

Lyric Lab #1

2011-08-15T20:55:00.000-07:00

This is a place for lyrics, to songs that are unappreciated.
For the first one, we'll start with a bang

Eminem - Sing for the Moment (Late Verse 3 3:43)

That's why we sing for these kids, who don't have a thing
Except for a dream, and a fuckin' rap magazine
Who post pin-up pictures on their walls all day long
Idolize they favorite rappers and know all they songs
Or for anyone who's ever been through shit in their lives
Till they sit and they cry at night wishin' they'd die
Till they throw on a rap record and they sit, and they vibe
We're nothin' to you but we're the fuckin' shit in they eyes
That's why we seize the moment try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and
hold it
Cause we consider these minutes golden
And maybe they'll admit it when we're gone
Just let our spirits live on, through our lyrics that you hear in our
songs and we can...

Fire Fighter?

2011-08-14T14:02:00.001-07:00

I went to the Hong Kong Dragon Boat festival yesterday. Pretty interesting event. There was a booth there for the Fire Department of New York, and I went up and talked to them. I always wanted to be a fire fighter when I was younger. They said that there's actually no height requirement (I'm 5'1) and that they recruit once every 4 years so nows my chance. I think I'm gonna try it out. What do you guys thing?

Heroic Domo Down!

2011-08-12T21:45:00.000-07:00

Woohoo! This makes us server 5th and top USA 200 guilds!
I'm the warlock by the way. My damage is really low I know... but my gear is really bad too.

Haircutting

2011-08-11T18:27:00.000-07:00

So today I got a haircut at my local Chinese Hair Salon. She was cutting my hair, and she was all like "Your hair's so soft, you must be an obedient child." I guess it's one of those Chinese sayings or something. Anyone else heard of this?

Downtime?

2011-08-10T19:23:00.000-07:00

I tired to post earlier, and blogger was apparently down. I didn't know blogger had downtime lol.
Anyways, anyone check out the new banner? It's Shikamaru from Naruto and Kuchiki Byakuya from Bleach. With my Razer Diamondback and laptop in the background. Took this picture while I was on my trip to Hong Kong. Was bored lol.

Our mage creates a branch!

2011-08-08T19:22:00.000-07:00

Our mage has created the first part to his Legendary Staff! For those that haven't seen someone do it, they get a 2 hour debuff after he gets the item which makes flowers come from under his feet.

Picture Thursday: Double Rainbow!

2011-08-04T18:38:00.000-07:00

This is a picture of the double rainbow I saw while driving the other day. You can barely see it but it was awesome when it happened. Taking this picture while driving wasn't the easiest feat hehe. I've decided to start a segment called Picture Thursday. All of these pictures will be pictures that I've personally taken, and not from a random website. Tell me what you think!

Raiding at Guildie's house.

2011-08-03T19:10:00.000-07:00

Is that a word? Guildie's? Anyways, I'm here playing World of Warcraft raiding Firelands at our hunter's house. Hopefully his good DPS aura will rub off on me lol. I used to be top DPS in the group I raided with, group 2, but since my acceptance in group 1 I've been last in DPS while said hunter has been number 1.
Raiding at a friend's house also eliminates all the distractions that the home environment can bring. The feeling of a lan party is nice too. Any one else do this?

FOOTBALL IS BACK

2011-08-02T18:59:00.000-07:00

I was driving today, and when I turned on the radio I finally heard NFL football on the radio! I was going to post this yesterday, about Randy Moss possibly going to the New York Jets, but since then he's "announced" his retirement. Sounds like a Brett Farve move to me.
But even if the Jets got Moss, think Moss will do well? We all know the emotional person Moss can be, think he'll be willing to perform for the team that is the biggest rival of his former team, which he is still loyal to?
Anyways, Banner will come soon, but for now, FOOTBALL!

Steaming Buns/Banner Update

2011-07-31T10:30:00.000-07:00

So here I am, hungry. I'm a pretty poor cook, so I have a lot of frozen buns in the freezer and steaming them up is easy. No chance of burning, or overcooking, as long as you don't boil all your water away. Even then you don't have a chance of fire. Plus you get to set them up and walk away while you continue your xbox or World of Warcraft game.

So I'm steaming my buns, and I come back from them, and I HATE how the bottom of them get soggy. I've tried to put paper towels underneath them, but that doesn't really help either. Any one have any ideas how to avoid this?

Also, I'll be putting up a banner soon. Probably of something I took a picture of myself. Thanks for the comments! Always appreciated!

Banner ideas

2011-07-30T10:59:00.000-07:00

Ok, so through comments I figured out how to upload pictures. I'm having trouble now with banner ideas, since my blog is mostly random. I was thinking of putting something World of Warcraft related, since it's what I blog the most about, but I don't feel like that represents me as a person.

Picture Upload

2011-07-28T21:07:00.001-07:00

Hey guys, was wondering if Blogger had a place to upload picture to. If not, what do fellow bloggers use to upload pictures? I feel like pictures will make my posts more interesting.
