Hope everyone is doing well.

So, I am back with a new post and this post is regarding project and meetings integration.

Many times we comes with an issue for managing meetings for our projects and we have to manually go to calendar and than by creating meetings we have to manage the things. But, here I am showing you a module developed by me for managing project meetings in project itself.

As in the below image you can see the project form view with Meetings buttons on the right side and Meetings tab page in the notebook. Through this things you can manage meetings for your project.

Creating dynamical view in OpenERP

Normally, the views are written in .xml file. At times, we are not familiar with the exact view of form, the total number of fields to be displayed or properties of fields. It may be dependent on user’s choice. This is where Dynamic Views comes into picture.

The function used to achieve dynamic view is fields_view_get() which can be inherited in any class.

Create dynamic view in OpenERP

Sometimes, its needed to add or remove or edit some properties of fields in dynamic mode. Normally, we can manage view from xml.

So, in OpenERP there is fields_view_get() method in which we can divert view or do some operation.

Another thing some times its needed to redirect depending on state or else.

Example :

Case 1 : We have two form view parent and child, now from the tree view on the basis of state we have to call either parent or child.

How to run 2 instances of OpenERP at a time

Hello Peoplez,

After long time m back with an another post, hope it will help you.

Today, I will show u that how easily u can run 2 instances of OpenERP at a time.

Suppose, you want to run v6 and v7 at the same time on same machine than what you will do...???

Don't worry about that it'z very easy and there are many ways to do that.

But the easiest way I found is through ** xmlrpc **.

Through xmlrpc you can run as many instances as per your need.

Nothing more you have to do juzt at the time of starting the server you have to

assign the port on which you want to run that server thatz it.

For eg:.

>> Suppose, you want to run v6 on one port and v7 on another.

So, while starting the server for v6 juzt assign it the port through xmlrpc like this:

./openerp-server --addons-path=../../addons/6.0,../../web/6.0/addons --xmlrpc-port=8080

And start the localhost:8080 in browser.

You can give any port number as you like as I had given 8080.

>> And the same thing for v7,

While starting the server for v7 juzt assign it the port like the above:

./openerp-server --addons-path=../../addons/7.0,../../web/7.0/addons --xmlrpc-port=8090

And start the localhost:8090 in browser.

>> And suppose now you want to run trunk ?? than also itz possible

Simply run the server because the default port no is 8069. :P

./openerp-server --addons-path=../../addons/trunk,../../web/trunk/addons

And start the localhost:8069 in browser.

How to INSTALL all modules at a time in OpenERP

Hello Peoplez,

Today, I will show u that how easily u can

INSTALL all the modulez at a time in OpenERP.

First of all the main thing is which version you are using right now.
If you are using the latest version i.e 7.0 than itz a very easy task to do so.

Go to SETTING, click on modules and go to LIST VIEW of modules.

SETTING > MODULES > Modules [LIST VIEW]

Search module that are Not Installed by click on Search box.

Click on limit on Top Right (1-80 of 156) and Select unlimited.

Check mark all the check box of all modulez or
the modulez which you want to INSTALL.

Now Click on MORE button and then click Module Immediate Install.

Now, be patient this will take some time to install all module
but it will SURELY install all modulez.

Ubuntu: How To Create an ISO Image from a CD or DVD.

I got a great pleasure to showing u that how u can easily make a ISO image from your CD or DVD in Ubuntu.

Ubuntu makes it easy to create an ISO image from your CD or DVD.

1. Insert the CD or DVD that you want to make an ISO image of.

2. Open a terminal window.

3. Execute the following command:
cat /dev/scd0 > /home/paramzZZ/test.iso

where /dev/scd0 is the device name for your drive (to find this, go to the Main Menu, click on System, mouse-over Administration and select System Monitor. Click the File Systems tab. The device name will be listed in the Device column). Also make sure to change the path and iso filename to the desired path and filename.

The disc will begin to spin and the ISO image will start being constructed. Once it has completed, you have an ISO image of your CD. To verify that the image was properly created, mount the ISO file and check the contents.

First of all, u all must know the structure of the OpenERP module, that is this much things must be there in every module.

First of all,
What is a widget.?
Ans. The example of widget of OpenERP are

The above examples are all WIDGETS in OpenERP and other than this u can create your know custom widget also. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, here today i will show u the method that how u can create your own custom widget.

For creating your know custom widget in OpenERP you need this much files and folders in your OpenERP module that are

In static folder you have to create the following folders that are css, img, js and xml.

for the custom widget u have to create 2 thing i.e. js file and xml file.

In the js folder you have to create your js file i.e. JavaScript file in which u have write the script for creating the custom widget.
Here, I am showing u the example of my custom widget which i had create
for sharing the resource on facebook. I had created a like button of facebook in my widget.

In the first line i.e.

openerp.resource = function (openerp)

In this line openerp is fixed u have to write it bcz u r creating in OpenERP
than resource is your addon_name than function(openerp) in this openerp is the instance it may be anything.

openerp.web.form.widgets.add('test', 'openerp.resource.Mywidget');

In this line openerp is the instance name which u have passed the function argument, than web.form.widgets.add is the place where u r adding ur custom widget it will be the same and than ('test', 'openerp.resource.Mywidget');
in this 'test' is your custom widget name it may be anything of ur choice, than 'openerp.resource.Mywidget' in this openerp is fixed than resource is your addon_name and than Mywidget is any name that u can give of ur choice.

In this line," openerp.resource.Mywidget " this is the same thing which u have written in above line of adding method, than after "openerp.web.form.FieldChar.extend( " in this line openerp.web.form.FieldChar.extend( here I m extending the FIELDCHAR widget into my widget i.e. test.

In this line, first i am giving the template name which u have to pass in the xml file. i.e. template : "test"
and than after that init: function and everything are the thing which u have to pass as it is bcz they are the function argument of the fieldchar so u have to pass as it is.
and the last line i.e. console.log('loading...');
console.log is same as the printf statement in C.

After creating the js file u have to create the xml file for that i had shown u the example of it.

In this the main thing is <t t-name="test"> in that t-name="test" in that test is your template name which u have given in the resource.js file, so u have to give it same.

And the thing that i had written in the <body> selection is the facebook api which u can find from the google or anything.

eg.: i had taken it from

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/

So u can take it from here or as u like.

I main thing that is dont forget to add that file into ur __openerp__.py file.

Today, here i will show you the method of inheriting the view in OpenERP.

Here is an example of how u can inherit the view of some another module into yours.

Here, I am showing u, the example of inheriting the view by taking the example of the HR module. Here, i had inherited the view of the HR module into my module
which i had created.
Simply you have to insert the view's id of the view which u have to inherit.
Like, here i m inheriting the hr_employee_view into my module.

This is syntax through which u can inherit the view.

    First, the module name that from which module u are inheriting the view like here i had inherited from the HR module thats why hr and than after that the view id that which view u have to inherit like ref="hr.hr_employee_view".

Here, I m showing u the example of the demo data of library management module.
Here, I m inserting a record of a book of JAVA whose author is BALAGURUSWAMI and maxdayz the book can be issued to the library users.
Than i had inserted different information like purchase date, life of resource,price
and description.
So, by this example I think u may get the information about how to insert the
demo data in the OpenERP module.
