Hi there Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

We would like to inform everyone that we will be having our Christmas Party for the Gawad Kalinga Kids this December 6 (GK Canlanipa Site) and December 13 (GK Looc Site).

Since we were not able to hold birthday parties for September, October and November, the GK SAGIP Facilitators have decided to hold the celebration together with the Christmas Party. A big amount will be needed inorder to materialize this. Budgetting and Planning of the said party will be done this November 22, 2009 after the profiling of the kids.

Targetted amount to be raised: P20,000.00.

SFC Definition

SFC is a generation of single men and women experiencing the fullness of life and restoring the world for Christ.

What is Singles for Christ and how it started?

Countless professional single men and women are burdened by the demands of society to be successful in their respective fields. CFC Singles for Christ (SFC) is part of the family ministries of Couples for Christ (CFC), a Catholic Family Renewal Ministry which started in 1983 in the Philippines. The need to nurture to not just married couples came about not long after the birth of CFC and 10 years later, on June 18, 1993, the CFC elders met at the CFC Leader`s Conference at Xavier School in San Juan, Metro Manila to launch the family ministries. These are CFC Kids for Christ (KFC), CFC Youth for Christ (YFC), CFC Handmaids of the Lord (HOLD), CFC Servants of the Lord (SOLD) and CFC Singles for Christ (SFC).

CFC Singles for Christ intended for the benefit of these same individuals (ages 21 to 40) so they`d have a channel through which they could respond to God`s call and acknowledge that only He can lessen that burden and make them live peaceful and fulfilling lives. In this community, members are guided accordingly by both elders and peers in their decisions and actions (and have fun too!). In time, through perseverance and prayer, a person can achieve financial, emotional and spiritual success. It is also worth noting that quite a number of members have found their lifetime partners (a.k.a. God`s Gift or GG for short) in SFC, while some others invite their "loves" to join, thereby forging a stronger, God-Centered relationship.

What is the Mission Statement of SFC?

The single men and women today live in a difficult age. In a new world rapid change and unprecedented evil, they need to chart the course of their own lives. The face an uncertain future, without much to hold on to since traditional support structures are starting to break up around them. Being on their own now, they experience tremendous pressure to succeed, or perhaps for most, simply to survive.

Life after school is a time for excitement and challenge. But, many single men and women soon realize that real life is very different from what they have learned in school. Many lose their idealism as the are confronted with the reality of evil in the marketplace. And so they start to compromise their values. Earning money gives them a new freedom to make choices and a new sense of power to buy and to own. But the lack of values and a sense of responsibility to go with this new freedom can lead many of them in a path away from God. The chart career paths that do not consider God as a priority and, worse, develop new activities and habits, including vices, that make them turn away from God. This will only lead them to a life of loneliness, frustrations, and despair.

We believe that God has a plan for us to live a meaningful, happy and productive lives at this stage of our human existence. Given the formidable obstacles that we face, we need a renewed relationship with God and the power of the Holy Spirit to live a new life. We need a support environment where God`s plan is revealed to us and where we can draw strength from other single men and women who are committed to love and support us. We need a group where our energy and talents can be developed and put to good use to serve God and His people. We need a place where we can be formed to prepare us for the next stage of our lives, to marry or to live a single life in total dedication to the Lord.

What is the Philosophy Statement of SFC?

The following embodies the beliefs and ideals of the CFC SINGLES FOR CHRIST as a ministry, from which flow the Christian attitudes, values and behavior, as well as its programs, teachings and approaches to Christian renewal.

We BELIEVE that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and we safeguard its sanctity by being pure in thoughts, in words and in deeds.

We BELIEVE that God gave us gifts and talents with which we can serve and glorify Him and allow us to live fruitful lives. We believe in the proper stewardship of these gifts by striving to succeed in our chosen work or profession without sacrificing our Christian values and ethics.

We BELIEVE in the indissolubility of Christian marriage and the importance of family life in the plan of God, in the sanctity of human life and the right of the unborn child.

We BELIEVE that we are called to live out our faith fully and share actively in the life and mission in our church - through prayers, evangelization and service to others.

We BELIEVE in living productive lives as citizens of our country, obeying its laws and respecting its institutions. We believe that we have a duty to the future generations in protecting our natural environment and in combating the proliferation of evil in our social environment.

We BELIEVE that individual and corporate renewal can best be achieved by having a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by calling upon the power of the Holy Spirit in our day-to-day life and by making full use of all charismatic gifts at our disposal.

Who can become members of SFC?

Any single person can become a member of Singles for Christ. SFC is mainly a Catholic organization, but is open to membership to all Christians of other denominations. The participants need not have any specific religious and/or spiritual background to become a member. Singles for Christ draws its membership from all sectors of society - young and old, rich and poor, etc. SFC is transcends all cultural, economic, educational, social and other distinctions. SFC is equally adaptable to all local and foreign settings.

Those who want to become members of Singles for Christ go through a seminar which is called a Christian Life Program (CLP). The CLP commences with an Orientation session, then goes through 12 talks. The talks are usually held in the afternoons or evenings and usually last about two and a half hours per session.

Loving as Christ Loved the Church

BIBLE MEDITATION:
Ephesians 5:25 - "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it."

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Do you know what most marriages need? Two funerals and one wedding, where both the husband and the wife die to themselves and come alive to Jesus Christ. You see, when a man loves his wife passionately, there’s nothing too precious for that man to give up for his wife, except his relationship to Almighty God. When there’s that kind of love shown to a woman, I dare say the topic of submission wouldn’t be an issue. Most women don’t mind submitting to a man who loves her enough to die for her and shows it by the way he lives for her.

ACTION POINT:
Are you married? Then, go on a date this week with your spouse. Are you single? Pray that God would prepare you to be the person your mate would need, but also pray that God would make you the person He has uniquely designed you to be for His purposes, married or single.

“DRAW TO GOD” is a website that contains drawing (sketch/art) which I hope would draw (to cause to go in a certain direction) or point people to God.

Drawing with a Purpose
I have been given a gift of creating something through my hands with the use of a pen and paper by the Greatest Artist and Creator – GOD. In order to return the favor and as my way of thanking Him, I’ve made a decision to use it to bring glory and magnify GOD.

It is not easy to draw for God. There is always a struggle between my spirit and my flesh. My soul wants to please God but my flesh only wants to please myself and other people. It’s a battle that many artists fail. Many artists have been making art with “mature content”, frontal nudity, hentai and perversion; forms of pornography just to feed the people’s lust including their own. I don’t want and never will be like them. I can only do it with the help of the Holy Spirit.

I’m not doing this as an obligation with regards to the Great Commission Jesus has given us before He ascended to heaven. As a Christian, it’s hard to separate my faith and what I do/draw. It is hard to keep myself from telling people about the Love of God knowing that it will give them hope and encouragement. I can’t keep something that I know could break their chains.

Through this website, I pray I can give encouragement and hope to people who have been struggling with their relationship with their family, friends and most importantly with GOD.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
You were created to know three worlds — the spiritual, psychological, and material worlds. These can be considered the world above us, the world within us, and the world around us. These worlds are related to the three parts of our human nature — spirit, soul, and body. When you are rightly related to the material world with your body, you are healthy. When you are rightly related to the psychological world with your soul, you are happy. And when you are rightly related to the spiritual world in your spirit, you are holy. God’s aim is that ultimately you are to experience all three realities: health, happiness, and holiness.

ACTION POINT:
Take a snapshot inventory of your life. Where do you need to start making changes to live a healthier lifestyle? What is your emotional barometer telling you about how you see others and yourself? Do you know of any area in your life where you are not living in obedience to the call of holy living?

God Will Always Answer

Jeremiah 33:3 - "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
I read about some children in a Sunday School class who wrote a missionary to let him know that they were praying for him. The teacher of the class said, "Now children, the missionary is a very busy person, so don't expect him to write you back." One little girl's letter read, “Dear Brother Brown, We're praying for you. We don't expect an answer.” Sadly, this is how we pray! We don't really expect an answer. But God has promised He will answer us when we call upon His name. Psalm 91:15 says, "He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him."

ACTION POINT:
What are you praying for today? Do you believe that God can answer? Do you believe that He will answer? Thank Him now for answering.

The Lesson of Prayer

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Some time ago I was invited to speak at a college in another state, and my schedule was such that I could not come. When they offered to send a private plane, I agreed. As we flew over Arkansas, the pilot asked me if I wanted to try my hands at flying the plane. I said, "Yes." Of course, he was sitting right next to me. He could fly it without me, but I couldn't fly it without him. He had his hands on the controls with me. He allowed me to participate with him. That's the way prayer is. God can do it without you, but God enables you to have fellowship with Him and teaches you a dependency upon Him.

ACTION POINT:
Kneel before Him. Meditate on 1 Chronicles 16:23-36. Glory in His presence.

He Alone Is Worthy

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
There’s an interesting story about how a gifted violinist named Fritz Kreisler acquired a Stradivarius violin. Kreisler heard about the violin owned by an old Englishman and offered to buy it, but the old man said it wasn’t for sale. One day Kreisler ventured to the old man’s house and said, “If I can’t buy it, may I touch it?” The old Englishman invited him in and even allowed him to begin making music with it. Great tears welled up in the old Englishman’s eyes, and he said, “It is not for sale, but it is yours. You are the Master and alone are worthy of it!” That is what worship is all about. God is the Master, and He alone is worthy.

ACTION POINT:
Starting with the letter “A”, and going through the alphabet, praise Him with each letter for all that He is, has been, and will be!

How To Be A Happy Person

Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is not only wonderful, but is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke. To be happy is relatively easy, just decide to be a happy person. People have the power to choose to be happy, no matter how good or bad a situation is.

There are many ways by which you can do this.

* Being grateful is a great attitude. We can learn to be thankful for things that many of us usually take for granted. For example, you can thank the cook for a wonderful meal, thank the taxi driver who drives you home safely or simply thank God for being alive.

* Having a religious connection is also recommended. Being part of a religious group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations help foster inner peace.

* Laugh and laugh heartily everyday. Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they say, 'Laughter is the best medicine'. Being happy can do wonders to your mind and body.

* Learn to express your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to people around you. They will most likely reciprocate your actions. Try not to keep pent up anger of frustrations as this is bad for your health. Find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone.

* Whenever you feel disgruntled or unhappy over certain matters, or feels that life is unfair to you, learn to count your blessings. There are many more unfortunate people who are much worse off than you in this world.

* Working hard brings tremendous personal satisfaction. It gives a feeling of being competent in completing our tasks. Accomplishments are necessary, as they give us a sense of value. Work on things that you feel are worthy of your time.

* Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places.

* Try and learn something new everyday. Learning also makes us expand and broaden our horizons and could also give us more opportunities in the future.

These are just some of the things you can do everyday to be happy. As Abraham Lincoln once said, "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Father's Love Letter

My ONE DAY VACATION with GOD

Last Aug. 9, 2008, the St. Paul University Surigao had the first Graduate School Recollection (taking up my masters degree) held at the SPUS High School site. The recollection day was a blessing for me that weekend. I was supposed to conduct an orientation for our new employees at work that day but thanks to God, it was rescheduled.

Days before the recollection I was feeling all so tired, crying my heart out…so many schedules ahead of me, so many surprised responsibilities, both work and community... I was about to explode.I wanted to fly out of Surigao….I really needed a break. Indeed, I was given a break, though I wasn’t able to fly out of Surigao but God allowed me to have time with Him that Saturday. I was able to listen to talks given by the Sisters, spent Holy Hour, had a good confession and attended Mass. A great vacation indeed!

Here’s a share of my one day vacation with God… “Building One’s Prayer Life”

On Prayer

Our very goal why we pray is that we want to get closer to God, to pray unceasingly, every moment of our lives.

Prayer is not a matter of intelligence.

Do experience feelings of emptiness, frustrations or loss of direction in life?

Do you hunger for a greater sense of the Lord’s presence in your life?

Do you desire to know God in a deeper way?

-How much do we love God?

-Is God first in our priorities?

-Will you compromise? “If one Sunday, you were on your way to Church…then suddenly a man comes up to you and tells you “I will give you here 1 million pesos, just don’t go to mass today.”

Do you want to serve Him better and more completely but don’t feel you have time, energy, and opportunity?

Do you need more time with Him in prayer?

Preparation for a degree (taking up masters, doctorate, etc.) is plain vain empty without God in it. We must always consult God’s will for us.

God wants you to long for His presence. Let us not settle for what’s temporary.

He wants you to find fulfillment in Him and nothing else. What for you is the source of fulfillment in life?

-We must distinguish want and need.

-So many wants and “created needs” will never satisfy us anything.

He wants us to walk closely with Him.

He wants you to increase in faith and acknowledge His word.

He wants you to put all your hopes and dreams in His hands and look to Him all your needs.

When you do, He will open the storehouse of blessings upon your life.

it simply means “please”

The true essence of prayer is focusing on God with a pure and repentant heart. We need to touch God with our hearts by becoming so preoccupied with Him and nothing else.

Prayer is an art which only the Holy Spirit can teach us. Pray for prayer. Pray until you can really pray. Prayer is a gift. “A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.”

Prayer may not change things for you, but it sure changes your perspective towards things.

Conversion is a matter of grace.

You cannot change any one. Not necessarily anything will change, instead you will be graced to understand and you will be given a deeper understanding that will allow you to change your perspective.

Reflect on the event, what have you done to have contributed to that event, why it happened in the first place?

It is very destructive or harmful when you know not how to forgive.

Why do we pray?

Prayer is a holy occupation.

The job of every Christian is to pray:

duty and privilege
right and responsibility
leads us to onesness with God
not a routine exercise
pray always: in good time and in bad times
pray about anything and everything

What are our motives in praying?

to get blessings and favors
pass on my problems to God
last resort in times of trouble
to get God do things my way or to get me do things His way

- God answers: NO, YES or WAIT

- NO: When it will not be good for our salvation. Let’s not dictate God because there’s so much wisdom in God’s decisions.

Conversion and transformation
Love of God (the noblest prayer concern)- praying without conditions
Build intimacy with God

Prayer is a relationship between God and you. We cannot build relationship with someone we do not like.

Prayer is an act of faith.

Talking to God and listening to Him when He speaks.

HOW TO PRAY

No hard and fast rules of prayer
No technical procedure to follow
Focus on your gaze and attention on God loving you
Handle distractions properly
Feel the air as if it is the touch of God and breathe the air of God.
Put yourself in the Holy presence of God

2 MISTAKES WE OFTEN MAKE

* Not pray at all for whatever reasons

* To merely repeat the words if a prayer without thought or feeling, so it’s essentially the same mistake of not praying at all.

Pray following the leading of the Holy Spirit from your innermost heart. The Holy Spirit will intercede on our behalf. (Romans 8:26-27)

We will feel spontaneous lightness, fire within (strong desire)

ATTITUDES AND DISPOSITION IN PRAYER

- openness

- reverence

- patience

- humility

- surrender

Have faith and trust that you’ll eventually be able to discern that whisper from God.

It is not religion that will determine if we go to heaven…..it is our faith.

Ask and You Shall Receive

What is the first thing that comes to mind when saying the word "miracle"? Is it the blind boy who wakes up one morning, suddenly able to see for the first time in his life? Or how about the person who's been deaf since birth who is now hearing a bird chirp for the first time? Many people think miracles are like these type of farfetched events that happen only to others. They couldn't be more wrong about that.

All it takes is the willingness to believe you deserve miracles by asking for them. And I don't necessarily mean "those kind of miracles." I'm talking about simple every day things like getting that job or house you want, the ideal partner or whatever it is you desire.

As the world continues to evolve through a spiritual transformation, more so-called coincidences are taking place as the number of people who raise their level of consciousness increase. This is because through self exploration, there is a growing recognition that in order to lay claim to what we want, a change of consciousness has to take place from within ourselves. This leads those on the self-awareness path to open themselves to the possibility of asking and then receiving miracles. All that needs is a shift in their own perception of the universe in which we operate in.

Like a computer that runs on a set of procedures that must be followed in order to operate the machine, the universe has its own set of laws that must be followed in order to recognize, receive and accept miracles. Just Believe in Prayers and everything will follow. Prayer can move Mountains. if you will pray just follow the pattern ABC . A - ask B - Believe and C - Claim. and it will give it to you in his time.. it works!

Prayer

I pray. I pray to become God's perfect instrument. I pray to God to free me from the little 'i' and to make me the big 'I', the universal 'I'. The little 'i' tells me what it can do for me. It tells me that it can destroy the world or bring the whole world to my feet. The universal 'I' tells me that I am of God and for God. It tells me that I am all love for God the Creator and for God the Creation.

I pray. I pray to God to act through me and for me. When I act for myself, I create constant problems, untold problems. But when God acts in and through me, it is all divine achievement, fulfilling achievement.

I pray to God to choose for me. When I choose, I choose desire unconsciously or consciously. Then there comes a time when I consciously treasure desire, imperfection, limitation and bondage. I consciously want to remain in the finite and wallow in the pleasures of ignorance. But when God chooses for me, He chooses aspiration, the inner cry. This inner mounting flame takes me high, higher, highest and then brings me down to offer my realisation fruit to aspiring humanity. When God chooses for me, He chooses Infinity, Eternity and Immortality. Infinity, Eternity and Immortality-these are only vague terms for those who do not aspire. But for those who aspire, these are living realities in the very heart of the seeker's aspiration.

I pray to God to make me one with suffering humanity. I pray to God to make me one with aspiring humanity. I pray to God to make me one with illumined humanity.

When I pray to God to make me one with suffering humanity, it is because the physical in me is at last seeing the truth that there is no end to suffering in the unenlightened physical consciousness. When I expand my physical consciousness, I share and thus lighten the burden of the suffering earth.

But now suffering humanity does not want to remain forever in its deplorable condition, so it begins to aspire. When it aspires, I have a free access to its aspiration, for when I expand my psychic consciousness, I become one with aspiring humanity. Then, when suffering has been ended by aspiration, when humanity is flying with the wings of aspiration, it enters into the world of illumined humanity. It is here, when we become part and parcel of illumined humanity, that we discover the meaning of life.

When I pray, I converse with God. I tell God that I need Him. God tells me, "My son, you need Me now. But I always needed you, I need you now, and I shall always need you." Then God asks, "Son, why do you need Me?" I reply, "Father, I need You because with You I am safe, with You I am happy; without You I am unsafe, without You I am unhappy." God says, "Son, I needed you to become My Dream Boat. I need you to become My ever flowing Life River. I shall need you to become the Golden Shore of My ever-transcending Beyond."

When I pray loudly, my prayer is not soulful, and I cannot hear the faint Voice of God. But when I pray in silence, when I pray soulfully, I hear God's powerful Voice clearly and most significantly. When I pray to God out of fear, my fearful prayer does not reach God's door. But when I pray to God with love, my prayer reaches God's very Heart. And my loving prayer places me at the very Feet of God, my eternal Haven.

My prayer is a magnet and God's Concern is another magnet. When I pray, my magnet prayer reaches the Highest and pulls God down into the very breath of my earthly consciousness. At that time, God offers me what He eternally is: Immortality's Smile. And when God's Concern-magnet pulls me up, I give Him what I have always been: inner cry, the inner cry of millennia.

When I reach the Highest on the strength of my prayer, God makes me His Dream-fulfilling Reality. When God comes down and feeds my heart on the strength of His unconditional Compassion, He makes me His Dream fulfilled Reality. It is our reciprocal self giving that makes us inseparable one. Through my prayer, I offer to God all that I have and all that I am: Ignorance. And through His Compassion, God offers to me what He has and what He is: Peace, Light and Divinity's ever flowing Bliss.

In the Western world, they use the vehicle of prayer to reach the Highest. In the Eastern world, especially in India, they use the vehicle of meditation. Both are of paramount importance; both are of equal value. Prayer and meditation will give us the same result provided they are both soulful. But we have to know what actually happens when we pray, and what actually happens when we meditate, even though the result is the same. When we pray, we feel that God is the listener, and we are the talker. We cry from within, and God listens to our cry and consoles us. Our prayer is our conversation with God. But when we meditate, we empty our minds and purify our hearts and become receptivity itself. At that time, God the Guest, the eternal Guest, enters into us and sits on the throne of our hearts. When this happens, God talks and we listen. In this way the conversation is always perfect. In prayer, we talk and God listens; and in meditation, God talks and we listen. Let us pray; God is bound to listen to our prayers, our inner cry. Let us meditate; we are bound to listen to God's Voice, His inner Voice.

Prayer tells us that we are for God, for Him alone. Meditation tells us that we are of God, of Him alone. It was through the power of meditation, the soul's meditation, that the soul came down into the physical world. And now the soul will go back to its own transcendental Height by offering its prayer. The soul becomes one with earthbound prayer, and this earth bound prayer eventually grows into Heaven free realization.

Let us pray; God is listening to us. Let us meditate; we shall hear God's Voice. When we pray, God becomes our Beloved Supreme and we His eternal Lover. When we meditate, we become God's Beloved and He our Divine Lover Supreme.

Little Things

Too often we don't realize what we have until it is gone;

Too often we wait too late to say "I'm sorry - I was wrong."

Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones we hold dearest to our hearts;

And we allow foolish things to tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let unimportant things into our minds;

And then it's usually too late too see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know how much they mean to you;

Take that time to say the words before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate everything you've got

And be thankful for the Little things in life that mean a lot.

Give a little thanks to the people who mean a lot!!

A store that sells husbands has just opened in NewYork City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates. You may visit the store ONLY ONCE !

There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights.

There is, however, a catch .... you may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building! So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband . ..

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.

The second floor sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love

kids.

The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love

kids, and are extremely good looking.

"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love

kids, are drop- dead good looking and help with the

housework.

"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!"

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love

kids, are drop- dead gorgeous, help with the

housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth

floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor.

There are no men on this floor. This floor exists

solely as proof that women are impossible to please.

HOW TO REDUCE STRESS

1. Pray

2. Go to bed on time.

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.

4. Say No, to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and unclutter your life.

7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.

10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you to do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.

13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.,

14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.

15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.

17. Get enough exercise.

18. Eat right.

19. Get organized so everything has its place.

20. While driving, listen to a tape that can help improve your quality of life.

21. Write thoughts and inspirations down.

22. Every day, find time to be alone.

23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.

24. Make friends with Godly people.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you, Jesus!"

27. Laugh.

28. Laugh some more!

29. Take your work seriously, but yourself not at all.

30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).

31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).

32. Sit on your ego.

33. Talk less; listen more.

34. Slow down.

35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.

36. Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.
