The Governor, Babatunde Fashola, yesterday visited the site of the boxing day firecracker explosion that razed about 15 buildings and killed an 11 year old boy. Fashola said he plans to punish the owner of the store on Oko Awo street where the fire crackers were stored.

“In order to make quick business, we have lost a life, we lost property and all of us are in danger. All of these items are under one form of prohibition or the other and we have men and women at our various entry and exit points. How did they get in? How did they enter? Who imported them and who cleared them? Who approved them to come in. Those are very serious issues we must also ask ourselves" Fashola said

Two-Month Old Baby Stolen at a Market in Kano on Christmas Eve

Christmas in most societies around the world is a time spent with family, a time of joy, a time of laughter. Sadly, it turned sour for a couple in Kano State when their two month old baby was stolen on Christmas eve.

Sun News reported yesterday that the baby boy was stolen from his mother by a strange woman at the Mohammadu Abubakar Rimi Market in the state capital.

The father of the baby said that his wife, Amarachi Ufondu was plaiting the hair of another woman in the evening of Monday 24th December 2012. He gave the name of his missing son as Somtochukwu Favour Ufondu, saying he was just two months and two days old when he was stolen.

Here are some excerpts of the circumstances that led to the disappearance of the baby explained by the father, Ikechukwu Ufondu.

“My wife told me that she was plaiting the hair of a customer, while her neighbour was fixing the nails of another woman nearby.

“When the baby started crying, she untied her from her back and breastfed her. After breastfeeding the baby, just as she was about to return the boy to her back, the woman whose nailed was being fixed counseled against that, on the grounds that it was wrong to immediately back a baby that had just been fed.” He added that following this suggestion, “the lady then offered to help carry the baby saying that my wife was busy with the hair she was plaiting, a suggestion my wife bought without suspicion, even though she admitted she did not know the said lady.

“When they finished fixing the lady’s nails, she paid and received her change. My wife then asked her to return the baby, but she replied that she was not done with her nails yet. A few minutes after, she played a trick on my wife by sending her on a false errand. “The lady asked my wife to take a serious look at the hairstyle that was being made for another woman just a stone throw away, promising that she would want the same hairstyle as soon as she returned from the Christmas trip.

“That was all. My wife, unsuspicious of any ill motive, fell for the dummy by stepping across to take an intent look at the hairstyle that was being done by her colleague. By the time she turned, the purported Good Samaritan had disappeared into the crowd in the market,” the father said.

Mr Ufondu said he initially refused his wife entry into the house, out of anger, insisting that she should go and get their baby, but later calmed down. He said that the case has been reported to the police station and appealed to the commssioner of police to help arrest the woman who stole their baby.

It’s hard to imagine how sad this couple must feel after this unfortunate occurrence. We pray that their baby is found and returned to them in good health.

This also serves as a reminder for everyone to be extra vigilant especially during this festive period.

Growing in Grace International have stepped up their global campaign to announce the 'transformation' at the end of June, a day of final reckoning which will wipe out most of humanity, except their followers. Adding their voices to the already noisy 2012 apocalypse brigade, Growing in Grace International are led by the charismatic Jose de Luis de Jesus, who openly calls himself the antichrist and makes his followers tattoo 666 onto their bodies.

The Puerto Rican national states that calling himself the antichrist is appropriate because it is wrong to worship the 'Jewish teachings' of Jesus, but rather to study the teachings of the Apostle Paul, who de Jesus claims to be in direct contact with.

Antichrist according to de Jesus means 'no longer following Jesus of Nazareth as he lived in the days of his flesh.' Spreading the word about June 30th has seen the Miami based-group invest in billboards featuring a smiling de Jesus and his 666 symbols prominently displayed imploring people to phone up his group and repent.

That day, the body of Jose de Luis de Jesus, who is a human like you and me, his flesh is going to be immortal,' said Alex Poessy, the bishop of Growing in Grace International in Canada. 'He's going to be living forever. 'And that will happen to him, but also his followers.' 'All those that are not believers are going to be destroyed.' With followers in 35 different nations, 287 radio stations and a 24-hour Spanish language television network, Growing in Grace International is not the first group to pick a date this year as the end of the world,

The famous Mayan 'Long March' calendar ends on December 21st 2012. In addition to surviving the 'transformation', de Jesus promises his followers that following that apocalyptic event they will be given superpowers. 'We can run and not get tired,' said Axel Cooley who is the daughter of bishop Poessy. 'Go through fire and not get burned. 'I could be talking to you right now and then I could go through that wall. 'So, you'll know there is a difference.'

Basing their beliefs on passages from the Bible, Growing in Grace International followers are excited about the end of the world as far as we all know it. 'The world's not going to end,' said Cooley. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1946, de Jesus insists on all his followers calling him 'dad' and has stated that his conversion occurred in 1973 while living in Massachusetts. The former petty-thief witnessed two angels coming down to him, 'The body of Christ manifested in Jose de Luis de Jesus, and all of sudden, that's when he knew,' said Cooley of the transformation.

Founding Growing in Grace in 1986, its success has attracted some criticism, with some claiming that the group is little more than a cult. 13 killed, 30 houses burnt in fresh attack in Plateau State

About 13 people have so far been killed and over 20 people injured after armed fulani herdsmen invaded six villages in Riyom Local Government area of Plateau State this week.

Many houses were burnt down in the raid that started on Monday night till yesterday morning. The herdsmen, who came in large number, attacked the villagers in the middle of the night, shooting people, using machetes on them and burning down their homes. The raid has been going on for two weeks but Tuesday's attack was the deadliest.

Hundreds of displaced residents of the villages have fled their homes to take refuge at police stations and primary schools in Riyom, headquarters of the council area. The villagers are now refugees in their own home and the government does not seem to care. Wow!

Armed robbers raid four banks in Ikare-Ondo State, set one on fire

A dying victim of Boko Haram bomb blast in Taraba State yesterday had just one request to NEMA officials attending to him: “Please, don’t let me die, do everything possible to save me” But as fate had its way, the man died at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo before help could reach him.

That was the pathetic fall-out from the attack by the Islamist sect in Jalingo which claimed 11 lives with scores injured. This is coming barely 24 hours after Boko Haram struck at churches within the Bayero University, Kano (BUK) when two profssors and 13 other worshippers were killed. Many people were injured in the attack.

Last Thursday, the sect carried its war to the media when it bombed The Sun, THISDAY and Moment in Abuja and Kaduna. Five people lost their lives.

Boko Haram hit Jalingo yesterday for the first time when its suicide bomber ran into the convoy of the Commissioner of Police (CP) and denoted bombs which killed no fewer than 11 people. Until yesterday, Taraba remained the only state in the North East that had experienced relative peace since the beginning of the Islamic sect’s uprising in the North, but the early morning bomb explosion changed the situation.

Daily Sun gathered that the police commissioner was in a convoy of vehicles and dispatch rider on his way to the office at the command headquarters at about 8.45am yesterday when the suicide bomber infiltrated the convoy. Sources said that the bomber might have waited for the CP’s convoy at the gate of the state Ministry of Finance building which is not far from the police headquarters from where he rammed his vehicle on the convoy. “From what we gathered, the bomber parked in front of the Ministry of Finance building and as soon as the convoy of the Commissioner of Police approached the area, the bomber started moving, drove into the convoy and detonated the explosive device,” a senior police officer, who would not want his name in print, disclosed.

Red Cross Information Co-ordinator for Taraba, Umar Waziri, who was part of the rescue team at the scene of the blast, confirmed 11 people including the suicide bomber died. Waziri told journalists in Jalingo that 10 people died on the spot while the 11th person died later at the hospital, adding that the corpses had been deposited at the FMC.

About 20 people were also said to be receiving treatment.
However, the Police Commissioner, Mamman Sule, maintained that only three people including his dispatch rider died in the accident. He also insisted he was not the target of the attack even as he said some vehicles in his convoy were damaged by the suicide bomber.
Residents of Jalingo returned to their normal businesses as some offices, shops and business centres which did not open earlier because of the incident later opened midday. But some banks and financial institutions remained shut hours after normalcy returned to the city.
Meanwhile, four worshipers were killed yesterday in Borno State by suspected Boko Haram gunmen. They were said to have invaded the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) in Dusman, Jere Local Government Area (one of the councils in the state capital) and opened fire at the pastor, one Rev. Albert Naga and three elders of the church during holy communion service.

Police authorities in Maiduguri confirmed the killings, and said the pastor and two of the worshippers were shot dead by the sect. “We got information that some suspected Boko Haram came in a Volkswagen Golf car and shot at COCIN Church pastor while he was about to administer the holy communion to worshipers. They also killed two other worshippers,” Police Public Relations Officer, Samuel Tizhe”, an Assitstant Superintendent, said, adding that “no arrest had been made.”
In Adamawa State, as motorists and passers-by saw a detachment of policemen cordoned off the busiest route that leads to the federal and state secretariats in Yola town, many passengers disembarked from commercial vehicles and pedestrians fled in different directions as a result of the perceived bomb planted at the roundabout.

Police roundabout is the biggest in the state and it is located in the centre of the town which formed an intersection with one of the roads linking the police headquarters and the Government House while the other three roads link Yola town, Government Reserved Area (GRA) Shopping complex and Faluka markets.
When Daily Sun, contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, Namuel Yoila on phone he maintained that there was no cause for alarm and that the police command was on top of the situation.

Yoila also disclosed that policemen cordoned off the roundabout and other major outlets sequel to a discovery that a car was parked at the roundabout very early in the morning and that there was no trace of the owner.
According to him, the command was investigating. The car was being searched by Press time to ascertain the security implication.
A number of civil servants and passers-by who were at the roundabout when they heard of the suspected bomb planted in the car described the scenario as unprecedented in the history of Adamawa.
Motorists returning from Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, brought the news of the explosion which led to the apprehension in Adamawa State.

Henry Nnadi, the 38- year-old dry cleaner that killed his 1-year-old son, Ebuka, and burnt his wife, Mercy,36, with hot iron for allegedly sleeping with his 65-year-old father, has finally spoken on the circumstances that led to his beastly act from the confines of his prison cell at Kirikiri, Lagos.

Looking remorseless over the pains he inflicted on his wife of two years, the fair-skinned Henry only showed regrets when the issue of his dead son came up. “That was the worst thing I have ever done in my entire life. When he woke up crying for milk, I looked at him in anger and a voice came saying kill him, he is not your son. In obedience to that voice, I hit him hard on the neck several times.”

Insisting that he was unsure of the paternity of the boy, Henry gave vivid details of what transpired on the fateful Saturday, April 7, 2012. Excerpts:

“I am sure of what I am talking about. My wife, Mercy has been sleeping with my father. Before the incident, I have cautioned her to stop going to my father’s house because I suspected their moves . But she wouldn’t listen. Then one day, when she was about going out, I told her not to leave the house but she disobeyed me and went out. I waited for a while before going straight to my father’s place which is not far from where I live .

And to confirm my claim, immediately I arrived there, I knocked and my father opened the door with a towel round his waist. As I made to go in, he prevented me by blocking the entrance with his hand. I do not know how my wife managed to escape . But after waiting for a while, I left and immediately I got home, my wife had reached the house, I laughed and went to smoke to cool my temper. I was keeping all that in mind until that Saturday night.

“As I was ironing my customer’s clothes, I looked at my wife where she was sleeping on the bed and anger surged inside of me. I then heard a voice instructing me to go and ask her why she was sleeping with my father. By then, the iron was very hot and I thought I could use that to scare her.”

Burning her with the hot iron
I woke her up and asked her to tell me the truth on how many times she had slept with my father. But she refused to talk. Then the voice came to me again to place the hot iron on her and I did. As I was placing it, she told me she had slept with my father three times.

Immediately she mentioned it, I lost my cool and placed it harder on her out of anger. At that point, the child cried, wanting to suck breast. I looked at him wondering if I was actually his father. I thought to myself that it could be possible my father was responsible for the pregnancy that resulted in his birth.

How I killed my son
At this point the suspect kept quiet, bowed his head, shaking it intermittently in self pity. And when he raised his head, his eyes were filled with tears. Thereafter, he rested his chin on his palm and looked at the sky, muttering. After a long pause, this reporter asked him if he actually killed his son.

In reply, he said, “ that is the worst thing I have ever done in my entire life. When Ebuka woke up from sleep that night, crying for breast milk as he always did, I looked at him in anger and the voice came again saying , ‘kill him, he is not your son!’. In obedience to the voice, I hit him hard in the neck several times.”

Asked to described exactly how he did it, he raised his right hand like a boxer, hitting it severally on his left arm, causing this reporter to move backward, for fear of the unknown.

Continuing, he said, “You know he is a baby and very fragile. When my fist landed on him the first time, he screamed. At that point, the mother lifted her hand to prevent my next fist from landing on the boy , but I planted the hot iron on her hand”. Henry, reportedly landed another fist on the little helpless creature . At the third hit, Ebuka, as gathered, could no longer cry. He was still .

When Henry was asked why he was always beating his wife as claimed by neighbours, he admitted that they have had series of quarrel, most of which was caused by his wife’s alleged clandestine relationship with his father. He posited however that “there is no way a man and a woman would live under same roof without quarreling. It is impossible. Yes, we quarreled and settled” .

Asked if he had any regrets for his action, he replied, “sure , I do, mainly because of the death of my son. Why should a child be killed over an offense he knew nothing about? His death will continue to haunt me all the days of my life. I may not live to even atone for this sin but if by sheer providence I do, I will never forgive myself for taking the life of my innocent boy.

All this is the handiwork of the devil. If I had known, I would have not touched my son that night. I know I am going to die because I have killed my son. If it had been my wife, I would not have bothered much . But my son, ah! I have done the unimaginable” he stated in an emotion- laden tone.

When contacted for his reaction to his son’s claim, 65-year- old Theodore Nnadi described the allegation as baseless and unimaginable, wondering how a father could stoop so low as to sleep with his daughter in-law. The light skinned man swore with both visible and invisible substances, denying ever having any feeling of such towards a woman he considered as a daughter. The father of eight who said his name had been dragged in the mud following the allegation and wondered how on earth a son could mete such injustice on his father.

Recalling with pains how he tried all he could to give his son, Henry, a good future, Pa Nnadi revealed that signs of his present predicament reared its ugly head after Henry’s secondary school.

Hear him, “ After his secondary school , he began to move with irresponsible people and street urchins . In order to keep him busy, I took him to a school of engineering where he specialized in factory generator repairs. But before I knew it, that turned out to be my greatest undoing as he went into snatching of motorcycles from riders.

“He would mount a motorcycle, give the rider his destination. But midway, he would pour pepper into the rider’s eyes, causing him to loose balance and in the process make away with the motorbike and sell same at give -away price. He was arrested in one of the occasions and was imprisoned for eight years.

After he finished serving his jail term, I took him to a church where deliverance was carried out on him. Before everybody in the church, he promised never to go back to his past again. After that, he started the dry cleaning job.”

I warned his wife
“After the introduction ceremony and the wife moved in with him, I started getting series of report on how he was maltreating her. Several times, the matter was reported at Ago police station where he was made to write undertaken never to raise his hand on her again. But he never complied. When the beating became unbearable, I personally told his wife never to return to my son when she traveled to her village last year. She stayed for a while, only to come back because my son, as I later learnt, went to beg her.”

Asked if he actually slept with his daughter-in-law, Mr Theodore screamed in anger, “ how can that be? That is an abomination! Before God and man, I never did that. Ah! This child wants to take me to an unprepared grave. I reject that. It is not my portion .I can never try such disgusting thing in my life. Oh my God, at this age?His intention is to soil my name. Go and ask about me where I live, or even from the village I come from. This is unimaginable. Come to think of it, I have a wife.”

Also asked to clarify his son’s claim that he met his wife in his house where the father blocked the entrance, Pa Nnadi replied, almost in tears, “Only God will judge this matter. This child is a bad child. The wife used to sell pap and she usually brings it to my house where she sold to my wife .

Whenever she is leaving my house, my wife would give her some ingredients because my son was not taking care of her and their baby. For instance, when she gave birth to my grandson , Ebuka, it was one of my daughters that brought out N120,000 for the delivery bill because she gave birth through caesarian. But do you know what happened, my son, Henry, stole out of that money from where it was kept and when asked, he argued that the money was too much, that it ought to have been given to him to buy a motorcycle.

He is a pain in the neck. In fact, he had beaten me before in public, simply because I reprimanded him for fighting with his cousin. Since that incident, my people vowed never to visit his house again. I swear to God, I never did that abominable act. I have passed such stage. Besides, I am a God fearing man. Come to think of it, (grins) I live in that apartment with my wife and my other children. How on earth would that happen”?

Emotions, promises, pour in for burnt housewife
Meanwhile, following Mercy’s story published in Vanguard, some concerned Nigerians and groups have continued to call in, signifying their interest to assist Mercy with the medical bill and a possible transfer to another hospital. Among those that called were Zahara Women Foundation, CENTA For Organizational Development, Bimbo Odukoya Foundation and other individuals from different parts of the country and beyond. But none of them, as at Thursday morning, had made any monetary donations.

For Bimbo Odukoya’s Foundation, it promised to visit mercy at the hospital on Thursday evening with a view to carrying out on the spot assessment and proffer possible medical solution.

Zahara Women Foundation on its part, promised to visit the victim yesterday, (Friday),where its co-ordinator who called in from Canada said the foundation would do all within its reach to give Mercy legal backing as well as playing a role on her medical expenses.

Dr Eze of New Revolution hospital located in Ago, Okota area of Lagos hinted that although Mercy was responding to treatment, there are fears that some sensitive parts of the affected area were still to get healed. “For instance, her breast and chest region and her thigh close to the vagina are part of the critical areas.”

Vanguard Crime Guard observation revealed that fluid was still pouring out from under the breast , which seemed to be defiling treatment. The cause, as gathered, was because it was not exposed to air. As a result, the region is always damp with the burns causing sores. She is still going through excruciating pains, with serious anesthetics being administered to her on daily basis.

But the doctor assured that things would take its normal shape with time, disclosing that part of the burns on her back, stomach and hand were getting healed. The doctor also disclosed that as at Thursday evening, only N60,000.00 has been donated by a lady who pleaded anonymity.

But for Mercy to get back quickly on her feet again, she needs funds, first to clear the backlog of close to N600,000 which the hospital claimed was her medical bill. Out of this amount, the hospital said Mercy’s father in-law was only able to pay the sum of N50,000. Presently , Pa Theodore who owns a mini boutique along Ago-Palace Way is finding it difficult to foot the bill.

Crime Guard reliably gathered that the 65-year-old man had resorted to borrowing from people in order to ensure Mercy gets back on her feet again. Plans, as gathered, is on the pipeline to open an account for Mercy where well- meaning Nigerians are enjoined to pay in their widow’s mite, as this will, no doubt, go a long way in ensuring Mercy’s speedy recovery.

And if this is not done on time, there are fears that the burns, particularly in the sensitive areas, could be affected, which unfortunately, can be disastrous for the helpless woman.

Meanwhile, her husband has been charged to the Ebute-Meta magistrate court,where he appeared last Tuesday. But the case could not be heard as his file with charge no G/23/2012 was referred to the Directorate of Public Defender (DPP) for advice.

Bomb blast at Bayero Univeristy, Kano

Gunmen killed at least 15 people and wounded many more in an attack on a university theater being used by Christian worshippers in Nigeria’s northern city of Kano on Sunday, a witness said. It was the latest in a spate of attacks on churches and on Christian holidays in the north of the country, which Nigerian authorities and diplomats believe are part of an attempt to stoke a religious conflict. Security sources said there was sporadic gunfire in other parts of the city which they believe was from attackers who were fleeing from the army at the university.

“I counted at least 15 dead bodies. I think they were being taken to the Amino Kano teaching hospital,” the witness, who did not wish to be identified, said, adding that he saw many more people being treated for injuries. A security source said at least 15 people were dead and a source at the hospital told Reuters by phone that he had seen 10-15 dead bodies brought in with gunshot wounds. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Radical Islamist sect Boko Haram, which wants to carve out an Islamic state in northern Nigeria, has killed hundreds in bomb and gun attacks this year. It mainly targets police and authority figures but has also attacked churches. “The attack took place in one of the lecture theatres used as a place of worship by Christians. For sure there are casualties but I can’t say how many,” Ikedichi Iweha, an army spokesman, told Reuters.
“The elements came, used explosives and guns to attack them. We have repelled them and cordoned off the area,” Iweha said. Red Cross officials said they were trying to get access to the area but there were no details on casualties. Africa’s most populous nation of more than 160 million is split roughly equally between a largely Christian south and a mostly Muslim north.
Suicide car bombers targeted the offices of Nigerian newspaper This Day in the capital Abuja and in Kaduna last week, killing at least four people in coordinated strikes. This Day is based in southern Nigeria and is broadly supportive of President Goodluck Jonathan’s government – the main target of Boko Haram’s insurgency.

Man held after failed attempt to bomb Lagos church!!!!

IKORODU—An attempt by a 26-year-old-suspected suicide bomber to blow up a church in Ikorodu area of Lagos was foiled, on thursday, following his arrest.

The development threw residents into panic as news of alleged infiltration of the Boko Harm’s sect into Lagos spread.

The suspected suicide bomber later identified as Olasunkanmi Ismail, reportedly scaled through the fence into Methodist Church at Ita-Elewa area of Ikorodu about 7.30 am.

Suspecting his movement, some curious neighbours reportedly alerted the church’s securitymen, who subsequently apprehended Olasunkanmi, who was clad in a yellow T-shirt and a black trouser.

When searched, a can covered with a paper on which was scribbled ‘open in case of emergency’ was found in his pocket.

During interrogation, Ismail, who claimed he was sent to plant an explosive on the church’s premises, refused to disclose the identity of the sender.

A mob which gathered in front of the church attempted to lynch him, but was prevented by the church’s presbyter, Rev. Mathew Ogunsiji,who invited policemen from Ikorodu Division.

Men of the Anti-Bomb Squad later arrived the scene where a search was conducted round the church’s premises and the suspect whisked away by policemen from Ikorodu Division.

Speaking with Vanguard, Rev. Ogusiji said the suspect was found hiding somewhere near the graveyard, adding that his attempt to escape was foiled by the church’s securitymen.

He said: “We were scared when he said he was sent to plant a bomb in the church. We then contacted the Commissioner of Police, who sent a team of anti-bomb squad to a search the premises but said they did not discover any bomb. This has sent a signal to us to improve on our security system which we hope to do.’’

Spokesman for the Anti Bomb Explosive Ordance Disposal, EOD, Mr. Gbolahan, said it was a mere bomb scare.

According to him, “The issue is no issue, but just a scare. When our men were informed , our EOD technicians got there and discovered a bottle covered with an inscription, ‘in case of emergency.’

”The men applied EOD procedure and swept the entire church premises, but did not find any bomb. There is no cause for alarm.” He assured Lagosians to go about their legal businesses.

Fifty-two Nigerians yesterday lost their legal rights to remain in the United Kingdom.
Investigation in London revealed that the arrangement have been concluded for the deportation of the affected Nigerians made up of 41 males and 11 females on a chartered flight yesterday.

Mr Muhammed Isa, Head of Immigration Section in the Nigerian High Commission, who confirmed the development, said that already, manifest documenting detailed offences of those to be deported have been forwarded to appropriate authorities in Nigeria.
He said the deportees, who breached the rules of their stay in the UK, include asylum seekers, over-stayers and convicted drug traffickers that have completed their terms.
Isa, who noted further that an enforced removal of Nigerians from the UK was ` certainly' not the preferred choice of either the Commission, the British Authority and those affected, advised Nigerians to obey the rules of their host countries and avoid getting involved in criminal activities. 45year old Abubakar Sulaiman (pictured above), a suspected serial rapist, has been charged before the Ikeja Magistrate Court, Lagos for allegedly raping children.

Police officers attached to the Area M police command filed a two-count-charge against the petty trader at the family court 6 for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 7-year-old and a 5-year-old girl (names withheld).

The charge sheet read that on March 28, at about 4.000pm in the Ifelodun area of Shasha in Lagos, Abubakar, had unlawful carnal knowledge of the 7-year-old in his kiosk, and on the same date and in the same place, he also raped her sister.

According to the prosecution, the accused committed an offence punishable under section 218 of the Criminal Code cap17 volume II laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2003.

Following the arraignment, the accused was conveyed to the Kirikiri prison, where he will be remanded until June 18 when the case will come up for hearing.

Sadly, these are not the only rape cases Abubakar will answer to, as he is also alleged to have raped a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old both of whom he lured to his shop with candy.
Abubakar resides on the same street with the girls’ parents at Shasha.

According to the girls’ mother, Abubakar is a serial rapist and medical reports show that he also raped the girls in his shop on their way back from school sometime in March.

“One day, in March, my neighbour noticed that her daughter came home with sweets and she decided to probe the girl, so that was how she confirmed that Abubakar slept with her children, aged 5 and 7,” she said.
“She ran to tell me that my two girls, aged 3 and 5, were also defiled by Abubakar and I decided to question my girls and they confessed to me that he had sex with them in his shop when they were on their way back from school, then he will use a white handkerchief to clean them up.

“As if this was not enough, this dirty old man will kiss them on their lips and threaten them not to tell anybody. This man is not only a serial rapist, he is also a ritualist and we will ensure that he is jailed for raping babies.
“We know that he is facing charges for raping my neighbour’s daughters but we have also reported him to the police based on the medical reports that he had defiled my daughters, so he is going to face another rape case.”
According to medical resorts conducted on the girls by the Orile- Agege General hospital, it was revealed that the girls’ hymens were broken due to penile penetration.

The report further revealed that the four girls had sexually transmitted diseases known as Cultured Staphylococcus Aureus, which has been treated.
