The Common Misconceptions about Africa is , "Oh there are; Trees everywhere, Deserts, Monkeys, Hunger,Poverty, People Living on Trees and "Calling Africa a Country" which we'll talk about later but First

Are these Correct? Yes and No.

I know when you're reading this you'll be like "So I'm in a Crazy Blog" Just Read to the end.

My answer is that way because

1. Desert - "Yes" there are Deserts and "NO". Not every part of Africa is Deserted.

2.Monkeys - Yes there are Monkey in Jungles ,NO they don't live Everywhere but they are a Gift from God.

3. Hunger - Hunger Is the Outcome of Poverty in a Way , Yes People are Hungry in Africa but not Every is Hungry.

4. Poverty - In every country there's always going to be Poor People, Show me any Country where there's no Beggar whether in Asia;China,Hong Kong,Japan, Korea and So on, but in the Midst of all this there's also the Rich People these are the ones who live apart from the Poor whether in Island and even call the Island Majestic names but in the same Country some Leave in Hills just to be apart from the Poor, So it is in Africa ,the Poor Resides in One Location and the Rich Resides in another Location but in the Same Country but "Africa" is not a Country it is a Continent just like Asia and Europe, Etc.

5. People Live in Trees - At least where I come from people do not live on trees, There are some Part of Africa where Development have not Reached but that doesn't mean when People say "Africa" necessarily You should think they live on Trees and Are Poor People. Take for Example in a South America where The Amazon Forest Lies people are still suffering there and people where Animal Skins and Clothes "WOW" you might say America is one of the Greatest Country in the World but there's still suffering in America.

6. Africa is not a Country it's a Continent-

So when some tells you he/she is from Africa ask them where in Africa?

Whether Black, White, Brown or whatsoever, We are all The Same, Back when I was in Nigeria, I always thought like the White Behaves Different from We the Black, Forgive my Ignorance.

Until I travelled to Hong Kong, Then I was Shocked that we(Black,White and Brown) Look the Same, We Talk they Talk, They Smile We Do,They do Sport Activities so do we, They've got two Hands we do, They've got Eyes we do, They've got Two Legs we do and I have come to a Discovery that We're all Humans no difference. We all Got Features, like They Walk with their Legs and we do too, They Can't Fly Same Applies to Us,If they could Fly then I'll prolly not write this.

My point is That we're Equal and with all this being said (With The points above) That sounds like Human to Me and Not an Alien.

Sometimes when there's a Robbery going on, People Quickly ask " Is it a Black Person"? wtf...

In my Mind I Say Anyone can Steal something either Black or White, Because we're both Humans. People also Ask why is he so Black? Not only in Asia but also in other Part of the World, People are Black because of the Amount of Melanin they've ,Forgive their Ignorance.

It was also When I got to Hong Kong that was when I found out about a Word called "RACISM" I swear I have never heard that word before until Now.

But when you've got Money everyone wants to be your Friend and You're respected!

They say Money earns Respect and it's so true because I've experienced it.

When I look around and Just see People Black, white , Brown. I just Smile because they are in this World for a Purpose, They are put in the World for Something.

Trust me I understand how you feel when you get on a bus and no one wants to sit next to you.

I understand how you feel when you walking on a Street and People just look at you Weird.

I understand how you Feel when you go to the Bus stop and everyone just Leaves.

I understand how you feel when no one talks to You, No one wants to be your Friend Trust me I have gone through this.

"When I first got to Hong Kong I didn't have Friends, Although People talked to me when I go to the Soccer Field to play Football, In fact, A kid even wanted to be my Friend, We exchanged Contact and then started Talking until I stopped hearing from Him. so Did he Disappear? No, He Didn't.

He just wants to stop talking to me for reasons known to him Only". But back to the "I Understand how you Feel" because I really Do.

I can relate to how you feel when you Walking down the Street and you See Someone coming over to your Direction but suddenly Turns back and Go to the Opposite direction because of they are Afraid.

I understand how you feel when you see parents telling their kids to not Go near you because you're Dark skinned but in reality they are just raising those kids to be Cowards No offense but that's the Truth, Kids have Pure Souls, they are not Afraid of anything, but their Parents Instil "FEAR" into them and think it is the Best way to Protect them but sadly these kids grow up to be Socially Awkward and Cowardly Individuals.

I Understand how you feel when you go check out a House (For rent) But the Landlord doesn't want You to rent it because You're Black and he / She says to They don't want Black people to be their Tenant, SMH.

I understand how you feel when you get into a Bus and someone you sit next to gets up and Go find another sit, How Dare them?

"But never You feel sad, just Consider it as a Motivation, prove them wrong That "the Blacks" they Surmise in their Minds, is not the Blacks we are!

The 27 year old Jeffery Williams aka Young Thug (Well Just turned 27) was apprehended while having Fun at the Birthday Party/Event he held at Dave & Buster's in Hollywood Jointly Midnight release of his new album "slime Language"

Young Thug was arrested for felony gun possession when an AK-47 and other small Arms, were found in cars belonging to Young Thug and his associates.
As of this writing, Young Thug is being held on a $35,000 bond. The official booking is believed to be a felony for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.

HKU fresh graduate Suskihanna Gurung taking part in NGO delegation to Geneva to raise points about local school system and effect on job searches

A young woman from an ethnic minority group in Hong Kong will for the first time bring the fight against racial discrimination in education and jobs to a UNcommittee in Geneva next week.

Suskihanna Gurung, 21, who graduated from the University of Hong Kong earlier this year, will take part in an NGO delegation, meeting experts and members of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The committee will hold hearings on August 10 and 13 to assess how Hong Kong has implemented provisions of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, which the city has been party to since 1965 when it was still a British colony.

It submitted its third update to the committee in April last year.

Gurung said one of the points she would raise in Geneva concerned Hong Kong’s school system, where ethnic minorities struggle with learning the Chinese language, as teachers are not equipped to teach it as a second language. This means many students Struggle with spoken Cantonese and find it difficult to obtain better-paying jobs.

Racial profiling continued to be a problem, she added.

“They see the colour of my skin and they see my ethnicity. Recently somebody told me: ‘Why don’t you join your mother in the hotel field? You can make up the beds as well’,” the journalism and literature graduate recalled.

Gurung added: “A lot of the time in Chinese media, they have news about how Nepalese men are gangsters, drug abusers and start fights with people. We also get accused of being fake refugees when we were born and raised here.”

Excluding foreign domestic helpers, ethnic minorities account for about 4 per cent of Hong Kong’s population of 7.34 million.

Earlier this year, the government announced a HK$500 million (US$63.7 million) fund for initiatives to improve the lot of the city’s non-Chinese population, though no plans have been announced. It already spends HK$200 million a year on two funding schemes so schools can help ethnic minority pupils Struggling with the Chinese Language.

But Gurung, whose grandfather came to Hong Kong as a Gurkha soldier, wants more. The city’s Race Discrimination Ordinance was enacted in 2008 and came into full operation in 2009, she pointed out, but a law on its own would not stop discrimination from happening.

“Even more important than that is to promote integration and racial harmony within society.”

Law Yuk-kai, director of the Hong Kong Human Rights Monitor, another local NGO, said the delegation to the UN would also raise issues such as hate speech, topics relating to screening asylum seekers and refugees, human trafficking, and foreign domestic workers being forced to live with their employers.

According to the New York Post, these sisters are running as political opponents – in rival parties, of course:

Sparks is running as a Democrat for Kent County’s 12th district seat while her Republican sister, Tyson, hopes to represent the 13th district.

Tyson’s decision to run inspired her sister to launch her own campaign.

Per Jacaranda FM, each twin is campaigning for a seat on the governing board that oversees Kent County, which is home to 640 000 people and is the state’s second most populous area, after Detroit.

Y’all might be thinking that their political differences is an awkward topic of discussion, especially at the supper table.

Not so, the twins claim:

1. That African Try to always be at his Best just to Please You. Yes I can say that Again, If you see an African who is Always Moody just know he is because he has feel Unwanted by Everyone in the Neighborhood and doesn't want to Associate anymore with any Asian Thereby minding his or her Business. I know this because when I first got to Hong Kong, China, no one wants to be my Friend, You see Parents telling their Children not to go near you. Haha, I don't blame them at all for that Because they love their Kids very Much and Feel they have to protect their Kids from Harm Infact when my brother Went to the Park to just look around, A kid tried to get close to him but his Mom Shouted very angrily telling him not to ever go close or associate any black / African Person. My brother Felt embarrassed and Angrily left. We had to face not having Friends for a Few weeks, Watching people playing Soccer but couldn't get in because damn I'm pretty Good at Soccer , Watching people Playing basketball but couldn't be a part of that. Anyone one with that Kind of Experience will eventually feel Discouraged!

2.The Common misconceptions about What Asians think about Africans is that He might Hurt Me I have experienced most times when I'm walking the Street and an Asian Spots me he or she Turns back or Go far from me in BROAD DAYLIGHT, I think in my Mind What can I Possibly do to him or her and Get away without being Spotted? You think about it too, I even see Couples Being afraid too .The Boyfriend / Husband is Nervous and Afraid, Cmon I say to myself "If he is Afraid of his Same Gender which is Male - Male how can he Defend/Protect his Partner (The Woman) when the Need Arises". If you're that Person CHANGE your Attitude.Be Bold and Fierce but Not Rude because if you don't Stand for your Self no one Will and if you're dependent on the Police Force you might be Lucky if they are Around that Environment to help you but What if they aren't? Think about It.

3. Africans Like Bold Asians who look them in the Eye and not Scared Asians, Try Look them in the Eye and See his or her Reaction if you're still afraid then Carry a Taser with you always in case he tries to do something Harmful to you.
