I was looking for an entertaining game to play and review for our website and I found Fly Away Rabbit. Now at first I thought that it was a little hard to get the bunny under the cloud, but then I got the hang of it and I started winning. The objective of the game is to get the bunny hanging onto a balloon under a cloud by removing blocks in bunny’s path. I believe this game is very entertaining and worth playing.

Now That You’ve Bought A Bunny From Bunnies In A Basket, What Should You Feed It?

If you have purchased an adorable bunny from us then you will need to follow
this simple bunny plan in order to keep your bunny happy and healthy.

With each bunny we sell, we will include a weeks supply of feed that the bunny is accustomed to eating. You must keep your new bunny eating the feed we give you for at least a week or two, after which time you can start mixing in your own bunny feed. PLEASE REMEMBER YOU CAN NOT SWITCH THE BUNNIES FEED OVER NIGHT! Start the process of weaning your bunny off of our feed and onto your feed over a period of at least 7-10 days. SUDDEN CHANGES IN A BUNNIES’ DIET CAN CAUSE THEM TO BECOME ILL, OR EVEN DIE! Even adult bunnies’ diets should not be changed suddenly because bunnies have sensitive digestive systems!

Here at Bunnies In A Basket, we suggest that you utilize the following procedure for gradually weaning your bunny off of our feed and onto yours.

• First Day: Give your bunny a small portion of its normal feed with lots of hay (Timothy Hay) and fresh water

• Second Day: Give your bunny 90% of our feed and 10% your feed

• Third Day: Give your bunny 80% of our feed and 20% of your feed.

Keep this procedure going until your bunny is eating only the feed that you want it to eat. If you notice that during this process, your bunny looks to be in pain, appears to be constipated or has diarrhea, immediately remove all dried food from its’ diet! Start to feed your bunny only Hay and Water for a few days. When the symptoms have cleared up begin the process of weaning all over again. Try not to give your bunny vegetables like carrots and parsley until they are about 10-12 weeks old. Follow the above bunny plan and you should have a happy and healthy bunny to love and cherish for a long time to come.

There is a wide range of foods that you can feed an older bunny, however a younger bunny needs more care and certain types of foods because of its delicate digestive system. A young bunny's diet should consists of pellets, Timothy hay and cold water. A young bunny should have a good supply of pellets because it is very healthy for them. Typically you only have to feed your bunny about 1/8 of a cup, to get the right amount of nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Young bunnies also require fresh grass hays such as Timothy, Oat, Coastal, Brome, Bahia or Wheat because they provide a high-fiber diet. Lastly you need to remember that your bunny needs fresh water either from a bowl placed in its cage or from an attached water bottle, to keep it in good shape. Making sure all these items are provided will ensure that your young bunny's digestive system has the right balance of fiber, nutrients, vitamins and water.

A Trip To The Doctor's

Not long ago we had a bunny whose tooth was overgrown and extended into its' nose. We had to take him to the bunny doctor. At the bunny doctor's, they cut our bunny's tooth down to a normal size. I was worried for him because I didn't want him to feel any pain. After he came out, he seemed fine and his tooth was not in his nose anymore. The next day however, he acted kind of weird because he drank from his water bottle like his tooth was in the way; from the side of his mouth. Fortunately I found out what the problem was, the water bottle was tilted so I fixed it and everything was ok! You should buy a bunny because they are cute, huggable pets, that live for a long time. I love our family bunny and hopefully you will love yours too!

The Movie 'Hop' Is Coming!!!

     Recently I was at the movies, and I saw a trailer for a movie called hop. Ok so it is probably obvious, that since I write for a bunny site and the movie is called 'Hop', what this movie is about! But wait till I tell you about this movie, you will love it.

    'Hop' is a movie about a bunny named E.B who likes rock 'n' roll, as do I. E.B leaves home for Hollywood, so he can fulfill his dream of becoming a rock 'n' roll bunny. His dad is The Easter Bunny, so when E.B gets to be a certain age he is supposed to be the new Easter Bunny (E.B). This movie is really cool in how it effortlessly blends live animation with real people.

   In my opinion I think this movie will rock, and I think E.B's name at the end of the movie should be R.B for rock 'n' roll bunny! How To Tell If Your Bunny Is Sick Or Needs Medical Attention

Rabbits can be wonderful, loving pets and having a rabbit can be a joy for children and adults. When your rabbit seems to be acting strangely, you need to be able to tell if it is ill. In all the cases below please take your rabbit to the veterinarian, it may save your bunnies life!!!

Your rabbit appears to lean its head to one side or has a loss of balance- This could be an indication of an inner ear infection, or could be a sign of E. Cuniculi. Symptoms of E. Cuniculi can occur in your rabbit very quickly but with early treatment from your vet this condition can be cured.
Unusual bumps or lumps on your rabbits body- This could be an indicator of a tumor and should be checked out by your vet as soon as possible.
Your rabbit is not eating normally or is lethargic- Monitor your rabbits eating habbits to determine normal patterns of behavior from something that could be more serious. Rabbits needs to eat consistantly to maintain their health, so skipping several meals or a sudden slow down in activity could be an indicator that your rabbit is sick.
Problems breathing, sneezing fits and or a runny nose or eyes- These symptoms could mean that your rabbit may have a respiratory problem or a problem with their tear ducts
Grinding Teeth- A rabbit grinding its teeth loudly could be a sign that your bunny is in pain this could be from the rabbits teeth being misaligned, which your vet can help correct.
Your rabbits bowel movements- Check your rabbits stools daily so you can be familiar with what is normal. If your rabbit has dry stools your bunny may be dehydrated and need water immediately. If your rabbits stools are soft and watery, this could be an indication of a virus.
