A 14-year-old girl has told in horrifying detail of the moment she secretly delivered her baby with a pair of scissors in the family bathroom before throttling the newborn and hiding the body in a shoe box.

Cassidy Goodison, 14, has been charged as an adult with first-degree murder after police learned how she killed her child following months of disguising the pregnancy from her parents.

In a video reconstruction, using a Santa Claus doll as a model for the baby, Goodison sat in the bathroom of her Florida home to show investigators what she did.

The new evidence was released last week as part of the capital murder case against her.
Police had the teenager reconstruct how she had allegedly killed her child, using a Santa Claus doll as the baby.

On the video clip, she said: 'Its eyes weren’t open but I felt to see if it was breathing or not, and (it was breathing) so I put my hands around its throat to make it stop breathing.'

Goodison went into labor in her home in Greenbrier Village, Florida on September 19 and instead of calling for help, disguised her screams of pain by running the tap and gripping a towel between her teeth as she sat on the toilet.

After prising the 9.5lb boy from her body with a pair of scissors, she felt for a pulse and then strangled the boy to death and hid his corpse in a shoe box with dirty laundry.

When asked by police how hard she squeezed, the girl said: 'Enough for it to stop breathing.'

Three days later, as Teresa Goodson cleaned her daughter's room, a foul odor drew her attention to a pile of soiled, wet clothes in which she found the deceased infant hidden in a box.

An autopsy performed determined the victim was a full term infant and that he was alive and breathing prior to death. He died as a result of asphyxia from strangulation and blunt force trauma.

Miss Goodson had gone to great lengths to hide the transformation of her 5ft 3in 100lb body during pregnancy, according to Polk County officials.

Throughout the summer, as she walked around in baggy sweat pant and loose-fitting T-shirts.
Members of her family grew suspicious of her appearance and attempted to discuss the possibility she was pregnant with the teen's mother.

But Mrs Goodson denied the suggestions, said the report, claiming that she had made her daughter do two home tests, albeit in the privacy of her bathroom, which both came out negative.

Husband Timothy Goodson agreed meanwhile that he had noticed Miss Goodson's weight gain and that she had been walking around at home wrapped in a blanket.

An interview with the teenager on September 22 revealed that after the 14-year-old had delivered the 9.5lb, 20.4in boy into the toilet, she had felt for a pulse and then strangled him to death.

Confirming he was dead by once again checking his pulse, she then cleaned herself and the baby and tucked the evidence out of sight.

Shortly after, however, Mrs Goodson noticed blood in the toilet she knew had been recently used by her daughter so took her to Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

There medical staff treating the high school student told Mrs Goodson that she had suffered a miscarriage and showed four to five lacerations on her vaginal wall.

Though these injuries were in reality self-inflicted when the teenager had pried the baby out of her with a pair of scissors, she falsely confessed to her mother that she had indeed had a miscarriage at home and flushed the fetus down the toilet by mistake.

Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies, along with members of the Department of Children and Families responded to a call from the hospital reporting the case and details were retained by the PCSO Bureau of Criminal Investigations for follow up investigations.

According to the Sheriff's Office affidavit, on the evening of September 22, at approximately 7.30pm, Mrs Goodson removed a bag of smelly, wet clothing from a storage stool in her daughter's bedroom.

While sorting through the clothing she found the body of the baby concealed in the shoe box.
In a panic, Mrs Goodson called her sisters who in turn alerted the police.

Miss Goodson told detectives she was motivated to hide her pregnancy and choke the baby 'to stop him from breathing,' by the fear that her relationship with her parents would change if they found out the truth.

Miss Goodson was arrested and transported first to the Juvenile Assessment Center and then to the Polk County Juvenile Detention Facility.

She is charged with premeditated first degree murder, a capital felony and aggravated child abuse, a first degree felony.

Polk County Public Information officer, Donna Wood, told MailOnline: 'This is the most perplexing, confusing, disheartening case I've ever seen in my 18 years on this job. Everyone has been touched by it.'

I was married to Philip for eight years. We had no child. “The worst was that I never got pregnant even for a day.” His mother became so impatient that she started breathing down my neck as she gave me no breathing space at all.

She moved in to live with us and practically made my life unbearable – in my matrimonial home. I cannot drink water and drop the cup because she must insult me.

It got to a point that she stopped eating my food because, according to her, I should be feeding my children so that they would grow healthy and stronger and not her. “Monica, if you had children, you are supposed to be feeding them with all these food so that they would grow healthy and strong. I am getting old so I don’t need all these nonsense you call food. Take them away and give me grandchildren,” she would scream.

She also stopped talking to me, however, the only time she talks to me is when she wants to insult me and remind me of how less a woman I was.

Philip and I love each other so much that he stood by me despite all his mother did or said to frustrate me to leave him. We visited different specialists and they all certified us medically alright. I have visited churches, held vigils and even fasted for days, drank various concoctions of varied colours and combinations all in the name of getting pregnant so that my mother-in-law can stop humiliating me yet I couldn’t get pregnant.

At a point, I stopped coming out of my bedroom because it was obvious my mother-in-law had vowed to frustrate me out of her son’s home. Most times, I just stayed in my bedroom and either cries, pray, think and then sleep off because I was scared of his mother confronting me.

To make things worse, she sent away the house help because she said, “You don’t need any house help because there are no children to take care of. Take care of your house yourself and stop wasting my son’s hard earned money.”

It was just the three of us living at home, “God, I was always so terrified even when I hear her voice from a distance.” It is so agonizing to say this but my husband usually pleads with me to come out of the room and this makes him feel so sad especially those times I refuse because I don’t want to come face-to-face with his mother.

When her troubles became too unbearable, Philip practically threw her out of the house just to make me feel safe and comfortable in my own home.

Even after she had left, I could still hear those insults in my head so I decided to take a bold step – I seduced and slept with our driver, Okon.

Okon is a young man in his late 20’s. He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering but because he could not get a good paying job, he opted to become a driver. I promised to get him a good job if he sleeps with me just once but I never disclosed the reason for this.

However, Okon thought I just wanted to cheat on my husband with him. I planned it during my ovulation so that I could get pregnant, although it was not easy sleeping with another man. I knew I was betraying my husband but I saw it as a necessary action.

After a month, I discovered that I was pregnant. So, as promised I got a job for Okon in a friend’s company where he started earning almost N150,000 per month. When I told Philip that I was pregnant, he was so excited. “Sweetheart, God has finally answered our prayers. I am pregnant,” I revealed.

When I was five months pregnant, he informed his mother and she immediately returned to the house. She pampered me like a baby and also took good care of me. I never wanted to do any scan but my mother-in-law insisted. When I finally did the scan, it showed I was pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. My mother- in-law and husband were extremely happy while I felt much fulfilled. “God thank you for compensating me with a set of twins after eight years of barrenness,” I muttered.

When the twins were born, the girl took ill for some time. It took a while before she fully recovered after several treatments and this got me worried. Philip and I insisted that blood test be carried out on them to determine their blood group and genotype and then came the shocking revelation.

The doctor informed us that although their blood groups are both A, however, their genotypes are AS for the girl and AA for the boy meanwhile Philip and I are both AA.

I wanted the ground to open and swallow me up because I felt Philip would ask questions but to my surprise, he did not. He just said, “Sweetheart, lets go home. We have had quite a long day, you and my babies need to rest.”

Three months later, he held me closely and said, “Monica, don’t be scared. I don’t want to know who the father of the twins is. I know whatever you did, you did to save our marriage and I am very proud of you. I promise to always love you and my babies. I promise this will be a secret between us. I love you sweetheart. I know we will have our own children someday.” I wept as he wiped my tears with his hands.

I KNOW WHAT I DID WAS WRONG.

But at least my mother-in-law is extremely happy with me, that is all that matters. Although, everyone is happy but I feel guilty that I selfishly used an innocent man to achieve my aim. But before anybody judge me; just put yourself in my shoes and think for a moment what you will do?

By age 34, Nasir Siddiki, a successful business man, had made his first million, but money meant nothing to him on his deathbed. Diagnosed with the worst case of shingles ever admitted to Toronto General Hospital , his immune system shut down and doctors left him to die.

Left to Die

The next morning I woke in a sterile room on the eighth floor of the hospital, my skin burning as though someone had doused me in gasoline and lit a match. I felt on fire from the inside out.

My doctor arrived and looked at me in wonder. “The blisters are multiplying so fast I can literally watch them grow,” he said. ‘”Your body isn’t fighting back.”
The next morning, in addition to shingles, I had chicken pox from head to toe. I was put in strict isolation. That evening my temperature soared to 107.6 degrees — hot enough to leave my brain permanently scrambled.

For days I continued to deteriorate. My nerve endings became so inflamed that a hair drifting across my skin sent shock waves of fire rippling through my body. By week’s end, I was listed in critical condition.

My Last Hope

In life, I’d been bold, self confident, a risk taker. But facing death, I was terrified. I had no idea what might await me on the other side. I’d been raised as a Muslem inLondon , England , and I understood Allah was not a god who heals.

My only hope was in medicine.

I eventually slipped so close to death that the doctors didn’t know I could hear them when they examined me. “His immune system has simply shut down,” one of them said.

“He’s dying,” the other confirmed. “His immune system must be compromised by AIDS.”

I don’t have AIDS! I wanted to shout, but I couldn’t form the words. Then it hit me. He said I’m dying!
The doctors spoke quietly to my co-worker, Anita. “In a few hours he’ll be dead,” they said. “If by some miracle he lives, he’ll probably be blind in his right eye, deaf in his right ear, paralyzed on his right side and he may be severely brain damaged from the high fever.”
Then they left.

They left me here to die! I felt like a drowning man going down for the third time. Gathering my strength I whispered a prayer. “God, if you’re real, don’t let me die!”

In His Presence

During the darkest hour of the night, I woke and saw a man at the foot of my bed. Rays of light emanated from him, allowing me to see his outline. I couldn’t see his face, it was too bright. No one had to tell me, I knew it was Jesus.

The Koran mentions Jesus; Moslems believe He existed, not as the son of God, but as a good man and a prophet. I knew this wasn’t Mohammed. I knew it wasn’t Allah. Jesus was in my room. There was no fear, only peace.

“Why would You come to a Moslem when everyone else has left me to die?” I wondered.
Without words, he spoke to me. “I Am the God of the Christians. I Am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

That’s all He said. He didn’t mention my illness. He didn’t mention my impending death. As suddenly as He appeared, He was gone.

The next morning, the same two doctors arrived to examine me. “The blisters have stopped growing!”
“We don’t know what happened, but the shingles virus has gone into remission!”

The following day, still in pain and covered with blisters, I was discharged from the hospital with a suitcase full of drugs. “Don’t leave home,” the doctor cautioned. “It will be months before the blisters go away, and when they do you’ll be left with white patches of skin and scars. The pain could last for years.”

Stepping outside into the morning sun, I looked like a cross between a leper and the Elephant Man. When people saw me, they crossed to the other side of the street. However, my mind was not on my looks; my thoughts were on Jesus. There was no doubt in my mind that Jesus’ presence in my room had stopped theshingles virus. Whatever else Jesus may be, I realized that in His presence miracles happened.

That fact left me with one consuming question: Is Jesus the Son of God as the Christians claim, or is He just a prophet as I was taught?

At home that evening, in spite of the drugs, the pain and itching was so severe I almost had to tie my hands. Even so, I fell into a restless sleep wondering about Jesus.

Learning to Live

The next morning, I woke early and turned on the television. Flipping through the channels, I froze when I saw the following words across the screen: Is Jesus the Son of God?

I listened intently as two men spent the entire program discussing this topic — answering all of my questions. Before the show went off the air, one of the men led the television audience in a prayer. My body was aflame with pain but I knelt on myliving room floor anyway. Tears streaming down my face, I repeated the prayer and invited Jesus into my heart.

Immediately a voracious spiritual hunger sprang up within me. I had to know more about Jesus. In spite of my doctor’s orders to stay inside, the next day I went out and bought a Bible. First I read the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Still ravenous, I started in Genesis and read through the Bible during my sleepless nights.

Meanwhile, Anita brought me books and teaching tapes explaining the Gospel. I devoured them while continuing to study the Word of God. As my understanding of faith began to grow, I dug out a picture of how I looked before shingles. I prayed and asked God to make me look that way again.

Jesus, My Healer

One week after my discharge from the hospital, I woke and found my pillow covered in blisters. I must have clawed them in my sleep, I thought. I crawled out of bed and stepped into the shower. What had started on my pillow was finished in theshower: Every blister fell off my body!

Instead of being covered with patches of white and scar tissue, my skin was simply red and raw. It slowly healed, returning to its pre-shingles condition. When it did, I not only looked human, I looked like I did before I got sick, except for the scars that I still carry on my chest.

None of the doctor’s dire predictions came true. My eyesight was 20/20. Myhearing was normal. My speech was unimpaired. I suffered no brain damage.

My healing was miraculous, swift and complete. I never suffered from lingering pain or any other complication. Not only did I have the worst case of shingles ever admitted to Toronto General Hospital , I also had the most miraculous recovery.

Jesus, the God of the Christians, showed up in the hospital room of a dying Moslem and healed me. But that wasn’t the greatest miracle He performed. The transformation that occurred in my heart was even more dramatic than the one that occurred in my body.

Llyod and three of his friends were brutally killed by a mob in Aluu community, Port Harccourt on Friday 5th of October after someone raised a false alarm calling them thieves.

Let me explain it clearly so you don’t get it wrong. God has used me to create a family and has made me the leader of the family and the family is Oganla. It is a Yoruba word that means big boss. So, since it is time for me to do according to God’s will, I needed to find a name that will not only appeal but will have meaning and befit my new status. You see when the time is right in anything you do in life you will know. I am doing this at the right time and I felt there is a need to do it and create my own identity. I have been bearing the name Arambambi 2 for several years but I feel the time is right for me to create my own identity. This is the new Pasuma and you have to accept it the way I present it to you.. We are going into a new year and it is my new- year resolution” speaking further on how long he has been thinking of denouncing the Arabambi family and if this will not create enemity between him and K1. He responded that “the word denounce is not the right word. The right word is “Maturity”. I have grown and need to start my own family. Let’s take for example when a father gives birth to a child, he will bear his father’s name and remain under his tutelage for a particular period of time. Someday he will grow matured enough to get married and start his own family. Will the father be happy or sad? Of course he will be happy and will even be looking forward to having grandchildren and great grandchildren. The same thing applies here. I am still loyal to K1 but I am like that child who needs to leave his father and start his own family and same goes for K1 who will surely be happy to see me grow and matured enough to create my own family in the fuji music sector. It’s funny how people are spreading rumours that I and K1 are not in good terms. Have you heard anything like we are not in good terms or have disagreed over anything? Is it a crime or a sin for a man to act like a man and be independent? If at a certain age a man still lives in his father’s house, he will be regarded an irresponsible man. If at a certain age a man still lives in his father’s house or depend on his parent, do you think you will be respected? No he will not. Let’s imagine a man attains that age of maturity and ready to live his own life, will his father not be happy? He sure will because you have even given him a reason to be proud of you. This is not about K1, it is about me wanting to do my one thing. It is about me making an independent move but since there is no way people won’t bring K1 into it, I wish to make it clear now that K1 will be happy for me. He has always known I will grow to start my family someday. Arabambi was created by K1 and I have done my own thing called Oganla. Let me take you back a little. Are u aware that K1 used to be Wasiu Ayinde Barrister before he changed his name to KWAM 1. Barrister was his father and they were very close till he died. He changed his name and dropped the Barrister thing to create his own identity and the same thing is what I am doing. So Barrister is my Grand Father, K1 is my father and I am the son creating a new identity and new path for myself. Like I said earlier I am still loyal to him and everyone in the industry knows that. I don’t see any reason anyone should start thinking there is a fight between us else the person has a shallow mind. For no reason do I expect anyone to start thinking I have issues with K1. I remain 100% loyal to him. As a matter of fact Oganla is affiliated to Arabambi except that I no longer bear the name Arabambi 2 but Oganla 1” Right now, rumours making round the music industry is that Pasuma fell apart with K1 because he was alleged to be having an affair with his daughter Wasilat. Responding to this, his manager Afolabi Oyekoya says “this is the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life. Yeah, he has moved on to create his own identity but can’t believe people can be so shallow minded to insinuate issues like this. It’s an insult to K1 and Pasuma. Why on earth would anyone even bring his daughter into this issue? To be frank, there is no Iota of truth in the allegation. There is no misunderstanding between Pasuma and K1 so I don’t understand why people just want to create a big deal out of nothing.

On a normal day he would not have responded to such issue but with the sort of society we live in, such grave allegations should not be left unchallenged, especially when it is untrue. Bringing an innocent young girl into this is an insult to the father and he detests the carriers of such information in its entirety. The person that started the rumour must have started life somewhere and worked for someone. Is he/she saying that, when he left his boss to do his/her own thing, he fell apart with him because he slept with his mother, wife, sister or daughter? Must people be so shallow minded and irresponsible to make such comment? His daughter should be left out of it because in no way does she have anything to do with his father’s career nor why he denounced Arabambi to create his own identity. Well, everyone in Nigeria is now a reporter but there are still professional journalists.” Pasuma who is busy rehearsing for his new album scheduled for release in December 2012 added that “people say a lot of things when issues like this arise. As far as I am concerned I am not bothered about the rumour because it is total rubbish and irrelevant. I remain loyal to K1 and the rumour is to create a misunderstanding between us but that will not happen because we are matured enough to handle it”

'Stalking Cat' Daniel Avner found dead in 'suicide' after years of transforming his face to look like a feline

Dennis Avner, the Nevada man who spent years trying to morph his body into that of a cat has died. He was 54.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Avner underwent a series of radical body modification procedures to make himself look like a female cat, from whiskers and ears to a mechanical tail.

His body was found in his home in Tonopah on November 5.

Avner's operations have included bifurcation (splitting) of his upper lip, surgical pointing of the ears, sillicone cheek and forehead implants, tooth filing, tattoos, and facial piercing.

Avner, from Tonopah, Nevada, likes to go by his Indian name 'Stalking Cat.'

'I am Huron and following a very old tradition have transformed myself into a tiger,' he said on his now-defunct website.

Descended from American Indians, Avner felt inspired after a discussion with a Native chief who inspired him to 'follow the ways of the tiger.'

With his overgrown fingernails, fangs and striped skin tone, Avner was a highly recognizable figure in his neighborhood.

His cause of death has not yet been revealed, yet some are speculating that up speculation that Avner may have killed himself.

Shannon Larratt, the former editor and publisher of BMEzine and friend of Avner, describes him as 'A wonderful and complex person, he was at times as troubled as he was remarkable, and he recently took his own life at the age of 54.'

His surgeries were done by Steve Haworth, an artist and pioneer of body modification techniques.

Come 15th of December 2012, at the Anwarul-islam model college, oniwaya road Agege, the Ajimotokan Foundation would host a charity event tagged ‘Jumbo market’.

The event that would kick off at 10am would host over 200 disabled, over 100 kids and the whole Agege
community, and would be giving out free cartons of food stuffs, snacks, toiletries, free eye test for 100 people as well as a novelty football match between the anwarul Islam team and the millennium high school team.
