(Nov. 26, 2012) – Guests at LEGOLAND^® California Resort were surprised when more than 59,000 lights illuminated Fun Town during the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony featuring actor Thomas Gibson. The star of “Criminal Minds” along with his sons James (13) and Travis (10) and daughter Agatha (8) joined Santa in pulling the switch that lit up the 30-foot tall Christmas tree created out of more than 245,000 forest green DUPLO^® bricks. More than 11,000 LED lights were added this year to illuminate LEGOLAND California’s tree which is adorned with more than 400 LEGO^® ornaments and towers over Fun Town in the 128-acre family theme park in Carlsbad.

Renting Disneyland tickets is a No No

Over the past year, a proliferation of sites renting Disneyland tickets by the day have popped all over the net. Brokers purchase multi-day 3, 4 or 5 day tickets and rent them to you by the day. Renters pick up the tickets at a location near the park, and must return them at the end of the day. Ticket renting is against Disney's policy. It is clearly stated on all multi-day tickets that they are "non transferrable" and must be used by the same person for all the days. Disney is now cracking down on ticket renting by requiring I.D. checks at designated gates. When discovered, Disney will confiscate the tickets leaving you and your group out in the cold. Don't risk your Disney visit by renting tickets, it's not worth spoiling your day just save a few dollars.

Mountain High Celebrates Largest Opening Day On Record

First Southern California Resort To Open Top To Bottom For The 16^th Straight Year

Wrightwood, CA – November 11, 2012: The 2012/13 ski season got under way today as Mountain High opened to the screams and cheers of Southern California skiers and snowboarders. For the past 16 years Mountain High has been the first regional resort to open top to bottom and this season the excitement is evident. Winter enthusiasts packed the Wrightwood Resort making it their largest opening day on record. Thanks to recent snowmaking expansions and favorable weather, Mountain High also opened with the most acreage in recent history. Snowmaking will continue as conditions permit and Mountain High hopes to open several more trails by the weekend.

Says Karl Kapuscinski, President and CEO, “We are very excited to lead Southern California into winter again. It’s going to be a great season with the return of El Nino, significant base area improvements, and the addition of our value-added sister resorts, Stevens Pass, WA, Sierra At Tahoe, and China Peak, CA, where pass holders ski for free.”

Today also marks the last day of Mountain High’s Freedom Pass sale. Skiers and snowboarders who were energized by the early opening can save up to 57% on an adult, anytime season pass. Operating hours are 8:30am to 4:00pm through Thanksgiving and tickets will be $45 for adults (Regularly $69) and $25 for children ages 7 to 12. Kids six and under ski FREE with a paying adult. Up to three lifts are now available accessing four trails with a good combination of beginner and intermediate terrain. This means there is something for every member of the family including top to bottom terrain features for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. The Winter Sports School will be open with its early-season $99 Special consisting of a lift ticket, rentals, and one hour private lesson for both children and adults ($140 Value).
