Question is:

1. Do you all actually do this?
2. Is it worth the risk of ****ing something up?
3. Are there any tips or tricks associated with either of my machines? Lincoln210mp and dynasty280dx. Both have low hours. The dynasty about 10hrs/wk. Of actual arc time, the Lincoln less. Both have covers when not in use.
4. Should I do It? I am more concerned with...
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could increase the diameter of the fixtures? I thought about wrapping some thing...
And I went ahead and bought a roll of Lincoln L56 to run, I know it’s a little pricey but I have always liked how it welds.

Also repaired some cracks on the grapple on an Excavator, gouged them out and welded them up. Wind was a pain in the asss today.
I was TIG welding, or should I say learning to TIG weld today, and it was outside in the bright afternoon. I could not see the metal, I cold only see the arc. So this leads me to this question about how dark should the shield be. Should each process require a certain minimum of shielding? The helmets are adjustable, but I already got my eyes burned once, and that was enough, so I tend to make it dark, but now i see that I may be too dark...
