When times come to challenge the Word then JOY jumps right on it to declare that I am strong and overcoming! For if we know Him who is able and not just about Him, we can be sure that what the devil meant for harm God will turn around for my good!
Why are you cast down? Hope in God who is the help of my countenance. Call on HIM in the day of your trouble and He will deliver you! That is cause for JOY!!!! HE bears our burdens and carries us day to day. He supplies for ALL our needs and perfects that which concerns us!!
JOY!!!!! He has us covered!!!
The Psalmist says that God gives irrepressible joy which comes from consciousness of His favor and protection.
What are you mindful of??? It is not too late! There is never a bad time to get committed and STAY committed.
This morning I was reading in Isaiah about the faithfulness of God to His people and I was so blessed by what HE said that I want to share it with you!
Look at Isaiah 26: 3-4 in the Amplified:"YOU will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind (both its inclination and its character)is stayed on YOUbecause he commits himself to You, leans on You and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him)forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock (the Rock of ages)."
Gods part is to give us peace, protection, stability, strength and our part is just be committed.
Meditate on these scriptures and let the revelation that is in them go off on the inside of you!
Don't worry, be happy!
I think there is a song that goes something like that. :)

Inside Information

As people of God we have access to inside information which applies to every area of our life! Praise the Lord!! God is faithful and true to His word.
When everything around us is crashing and saying no way the Word says victory and above only!! That is inside information.
The wisdom, strategy and plans of God are ALL on the inside. We can talk to God and He talks to us according to the principles of heaven.
Read Matthew 18: 18-20
Look at it this way. When we gather, church, home or wherever HE IS THERE. It's like we are talking to the CEO who has all the answers to EVERYTHING! HE will show you what to do with your money, family, business decisions or situations. The only thing we need to do is what HE SAID!!! That's it and it is that simple.
Stop reasoning away the ideas, strategies and plans that HE gives you and simply do what He tells you to do.
Remember it will be as HE has said if we obey what HE says!!!!

Let It SNOW!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!! It was wonderful. A lot of snow, day home in "comfies" and time with the family: priceless.
Being born and bred in New England it would not New England with out the occasional blizzard, bring it on. I love New England for the very fact weather changes all the time. It is the ONE thing you can count on, wait a minute and things will change.
But, there is ONE thing that stays consistent is the Word of God.
Now that we have entered this new year and new season I highly suggest you read Psalm 91. It is full of hope, protection, provision and safety. What better thing to have then that at this time. The first verse says we we need to do, dwell in the secret place of the Most High.
This year purpose to break and limit or boundaries by hiding yourself in that secret place and watch God move........I am so looking forward to this season of miracles and out pouring of the Holy Spirit, aren't you?

Happy New Year!!!

Well, it is here, 2011. How fast time goes by these days. This year is a year for breaking ALL boundaries and limits! It won't happen unless we push past the point we stop every time we get there. You know that point! The particular point where you tell yourself, OK, we WILL do this and then something happens that makes you think, well, maybe not! That is the point I am talking about.
This year is a clean slate before us! All we need to do is follow the voice of God! Let me tell you, it WILL require you to break a limit or boundary or 2. It is not a hard thing when you know that God has your back and has ALREADY gone before you. It might be a new path for you but not for Him!
If you determine from the very beginning of this year that this will be your BEST year ever, it will be. It will take extreme focus and Holy Ghost strength but we can do it.
Greater His He who lives in you then he that is in the world.
Don't make any decision based on circumstances or emotion. If ever there was a Word form the Lord this season it is that one.
We are suppose to change our circumstances by the Word and allow HIM to be Lord over our emotions...easy, NO doable YES!
If we walk by faith and NOT by sight we will see the blessings of the Lord manifest!

The Reason for Christmas

Let us never forget the real reason WE, Christians, celebrate Christmas.
Isaiah 9:6 "for to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father (of eternity), prince of peace. verse 7 "of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end"

Luke 2: 11 "for to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord!
This Christmas press in to Him, the Lord Jesus, and let this holiday season be full of fun and laughter. In fact I prefer to be early just in case! Most the time that thinking pays off but some times,(the exception, not the rule)I am late for something. I so hate being late that being early is not a sacrifice for me, it gives me confidence and joy knowing that I do NOT need to rush but can enjoy the moment...
When you read through scriptures there is a lot to be said about "the fullness of time". Jesus came right on time!!! Maybe not the timing some people thought BUT Gods' timing was perfect. He did not rush or become delayed in sending His son. He knows that timing means everything!!!
This season purpose on taking it slow and allow time to be on time. It will make a more enjoyable experience during this season and you can even enjoy the journey!

Reign in this life

With the holiday season upon us we often need to stop and look at the meaning of Christmas. Christmas is a time to be thankful for the birth of a savior that takes away the sin of the world. He did that so we could reign in life NOT life reign over us! Think about it. Some of us are pushed and pulled in every direction thinking we have no control but Jesus gave us the control to reign over this life!
Romans 5:17 says ..."for if because of one mans' trespass(lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive (God's) overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness (putting them into right standing with Himself) reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)...."
To reign in this life as we were created to do we first have to STOP admiring Jesus and begin to follow Him. We have a God given right to walk in all the fullness of the covenant. The first thing is we need to really understand the covenant.
Covenant always looks at things with God's perspective not a worldly perspective.
If we can understand covenant then it would be no problem to reign in this life versus life reigning over us!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well, the holiday season is definitely upon us! Nothing is better than to give thanks to God for all He has done and going to do.Psalm 26:7 says..."that I may make the voice of thanksgiving heard and may tell of all Your wondrous works." Thanksgiving can be heard and when we are thankful it displays the good works of the Lord. Psalm 50:14 ...offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving..." The best time to be thankful is when times are tough and it takes everything in you to praise and give thanks to God. When we are able to do THAT then we are acknowledging God in that situation as good and always has good for us. It also gives God the avenue to answer your prayers and change the situation. HE is Lord of ALL!!!
Psalm 100:4...enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name..." For the LORD is GOOD!
Situations and circumstances change all the time but Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!
Be thankful for even the little things, salt, pepper, tissues...and you will find that it will change your outlook and attitude. Thanking God for who He is and what He has provided by way of His son Jesus. It is a choice.
So be thankful this season and watch God turn that weeping to joy, sorrow to gladness and chaos to order. Only He can do it!

Make up your mind

All through scriptures we read about, apply your mind, tell your mind, make your mind, think like God because on its own it won't!
Before we head into any battle we MUST make up our mind that we are going to win and that this battle will NOT take me out! Did you hear me? I said BEFORE the battle begins! This is were we need to discipline ourselves if we are to win!! Before the battle starts. It will take a mind that is made up and unwavering.
In Psalm 112:7 says "he shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart (mind) is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord!"
Our minds are made up before we ever experience, sickness, lack, opposition or disaster. We are victorious before we get there!
A person like that is hard to beat....you were created to win so NEVER NEVER give up it's just a matter of time and it will be worth it!

Aim high....or you will never get off the ground

How high are you aiming? When trying to hit a target it is all in the aim. Now, I am not a archery expert but I have watched and read some things regarding the technique of aiming to hit something!
There is a way you aim to achieve a result that is sometimes over looked.
I did not know that the earths gravitational pull plays a part in how to aim to hit something. For instance, when you aim at something you need to place your aim slightly higher than the target or else the gravitational pull on the arrow will pull it slightly down, thus missing the mark; makes sense!
When aiming for the things of God we have to aim higher or we will fall short. Not because gravity pulls it down but what other people say, doubts, and fears will "pull" our aim down and we will settle for THAT result and not the "bulls eye" result.
Isaiah 55: 9 states..."for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways and MY thoughts than your thoughts..."
If we only aim at the "earth" then we will never experience the abundance that comes from the higher ways and thoughts of God.
Don't allow the things of this earth to be the final "AIM" in your life. There is so much more, higher, better when we aim HIGH at what God has for us. If we don't we will fall so short and be thinking that is all there is, WRONG!
We need to be the ones who aim high to show others they can too.
Earth vs heaven you choose; choose wisely. It can mean the difference in existing verses really living.

Not Exempt

As believers we sometimes think that just because we are saved, going to heaven that there will be no attacks on us...NOT!!!!
If you are doing ANYTHING for God attack is just around the corner. He does not want you to succeed with what God has said or let you possess what is yours without a fight.
Anything God has for you is worth fighting for. That should be the first thing you settle in your heart before you begin to "step out". We all know what john 10:10 says..."the thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy..." This is what the devil does and he is very good at it. That scripture should prepare you to stand your ground because their is one who does not want you to possess your victory.
Ephesians 6:11 says..."put on God's whole armor (the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies), that you may be able successfully to stand up against (all) the strategies and the deceits of the devil..." This scripture tells you how to be successful against the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy. We have armor because we have an enemy and we have to go TAKE what is ours and not let him talk us out of it!
It begins in our thoughts. If we prepare for the battle when the battle comes we are strong and courageous and will be expecting a victory rather than expecting a defeat!
We are not exempt from attacks but God has given us HIS tools so we can stand successfully.
Go get dressed!

Hold on just a little bit longer...

"Hold on", we have heard that said many times for different reasons and for just cause. The longer we hold on the closer we are to possessing our promise or desire.
In Hebrews 10:23, in the Amplified, it says "so let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgment of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word."
Phew, there is a lot in this one verse of scripture to look at.
First of all it says that WE are to seize. One of the definitions of the word seize is to possess or take by force. You and I have everything to do with wither we possess or let go of the desires and promises of our hearts. We give up too easily. It seems that if we run into some resistance or struggle we fold in when God says to seize it. Anything from God that is worth having is worth "fighting" for and holding on to.
The second thing is the word "retain" which means to keep in possession. So once we have it in our hearts and a Word from God than we have to possess and then KEEP it. You know that the devil will be right there to try to get you to let go so you never experience what the Lord has for you. Once he has done that it is sooooo much harder to regain even where we left off in the process because now we are afraid that God will not come through.
Read the scripture over and over again till you are more convinced of the faithfulness of God than the resistance or delays that occur.
Now we confess: I will not let go of the promises of God because HE said He is reliable and faithful and I believe it!
So hold on a little bit longer........it will be worth it!

Something to think about

I ran into this a while ago and I thought I would share it with you. In the eyes of God there is no failure. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says..."thanks be to God who GIVES us the victory". 1 John 5:4 says..."the victory that conquers the world, even our faith"...
Everything Jesus did was to give you and me VICTORY not failure and defeat.
That is always the position we stand in and we are always having to defend it because the devil tries to steal what we already have.
You have already been anointed to win, overcome and recover anything the devil has stole from you. God knows NO failure or defeat but the devil knows all about it. That is why he tries so hard to get you to think that you will not succeed. He wants you to be like him when Jesus MADE you just like HIM!!!!
Don't allow the pressure and circumstances of this age to destroy your hope for the future; get angry with the devil and keep pressing on till your success comes to pass. YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!
Remember you don't need to GET authority over the devil you already HAVE authority over him, now use it and know that success belongs to you!

Get It Done!

I don't know about you but there are seasons that seem you get more done than others. Although you are busy sometimes it produces nothing of accomplishment. Ever experience that?
Well, busy is not always productive and busy is not always unproductive, it totally depends on how you see it.
Get it done. We have heard that statement but what we don't take into account is the price that sometimes needs to be paid to get it done. It depends on how badly you want to see it completed or done.
I love the book of Matthew. It has so many life stories in it to confirm the power that is in us and the "get it done" attitude we need to stick with it.
Look at Matthew 9; you know the story of the woman with the issue of blood. She HAD a "get it done" at any cost attitude and obtained the promise of healing for her body. The same principle applies to our life situations; whither it is finances, goals, jobs, family or healing.
She had it in her sight, heart and mind to get what Jesus was giving away free...and she did what ever it took to get it. She did not walk away disappointed and we do not have to walk away disappointed either if we have that same mind set and attitude she had. The question is, how badly do you want it? What ever that "it" is for you.
Make up your mind right now that NOTHING, say NOTHING, will get in the way of what God has for you.
In the hour of "time" we are living in we need all that HE paid for to help us be victorious in all the affairs of life. If He said to do something then believe He will give you the grace to do it. The grace comes AS YOU ARE DOING..don't wait for the grace. That is not how it works. It is in the doing we receive the grace. If you try to wait for the grace you will be waiting till Jesus comes and not "get it done"....
It has been given to us by the Holy Spirit the secrets and mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus got it done in His life time so I know we can get it done too!
GO AND DO!!!

Attitude is everything

Did you know that attitude affects those around you? Either for good or not so good. You know the old saying if momma is not happy nobody is happy? Well, that goes for everyone NOT just mommas'!
Ever been around a grumpy, angry person and in no time you feel yourself "catching" that same anger? That is all attitude! Also, have you ever been around someone in a good mood and how that challenges you to be in a good mood?
How someone perceives something is not all there is.
God has a better more advantageous perspective than we would ever have. AND we can have the same one if we allow the "God" in us to come through! God always has a good attitude...because no matter what happens He knows HE WINS!!! HE is not influenced by the "stuff" but influences the "stuff" to line up with HIM! With that working for you we all should have a good GOD attitude in all the affairs of life, don't you think?
It all comes down to a matter of choice. So, choose wisely and reap the benefit by not being influenced by what is around you. Most the time we want the benefit BUT do not want to do what is necessary to obtain the benefit.
It all comes down to this...flesh and world ruled or Spirit and Kingdom ruled?
You pick....and you will reap the "benefit" of the choice.
Make this the best season you ever had because God has already gone before you to make the way!!!
Onward with a good God attitude and you WILL NOT FAIL!

God has you on His mind

Think about it! The creator of the universe is always thinking about you and caring for you! Everything He has done is because He had you in mind. That also means sending Jesus to take our sin because He had us in mind...Yes, Gos so loved the world that He gave His son but look at it another way...God hated what the devil had done to His creation and wanted His creation to rule! 1 John 3:8 says that "The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen and dissolve) the works the devil (has done)".
Now, because of that we can boldly say 'He who lives in me is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world" 1 John 4:4.
Everything God did He did for you and me!!! He did not need to regain power over the enemy, He never lost it!!! He always had the power over Him. In turn He gave that power to us to overcome ALL the deceits and trials that the enemy throws our way. God wanted US to know that He is ALWAYS mindful of us.
Read Jeremiah 29:11..."for I know the thoughts and plans I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
He sees the end from the beginning and even gives us hope to anchor us for the final outcome which is always good!
God does know and He cares all the time!

"As Is"

Have you ever been to a store and seen on the web or read in a paper the words "as is"? Whether it is a house, car, clothing, etc.. it is telling you that you get what you get and don't complain. If there is anything wrong, torn or out of order if you buy it it's yours. NOW, it becomes YOUR problem and not the sellers.
But, I like Gods take on "as is".
He takes us as we are, at that moment we acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior...as is...and makes something beautiful out of it and it is all HIS doing! I believe we need to stop TRYING and just BE who we are in Him. You see, we know our short comings, where we fall short, our weaknesses and still God takes us as is. Our prayer is "if you can do and make anything out of my life then do it".
He says OK and then we start to tell our selves how we are NOT qualified because of all our known weaknesses and how we are not "there" yet. ( By the way, where is there and how do you get there?)
We are in the greatest days of our lives just before the return of the Lord and HE does want to use ALL of us; even in spite of our weaknesses and faults.
I want to share a truth that I believe will set you free: Our weaknesses, faults and imperfections are MORE of a problem to us then to GOD! Read it again!
When we concentrate on us verses the ONE who saved us we will never feel we are good enough for God to use. BUT, when we concentrate on HIM then HE becomes our all in all and we begin to see ourselves through HIS eyes and the blood of Jesus.
Don't limit God by limiting yourself. 1 Corinthians 1:9 is a great passage of scripture to read because it states exactly how trustworthy our God is.
Take time to get that scripture en grafted in your heart so you see it how He sees it and not how YOU see it.
BE BLESSED!

It is just a matter of time !

How long do I keep telling myself this too shall pass? Tomorrow is going to be the day. This week I will get my breakthrough. How long? UNTIL WE HAVE IT!!! It is all just a matter of time; and time is something we can not earn, buy or make more of. We all have the same number of hours in a day and minutes in an hour. We need to use that time wisely and know that at any moment things can change; even when you least expect it! The journey of our faith gives us many opportunities to trust the timing of God! He knows the BEST time to in order for us to achieve the desired result we need.
Have you ever noticed that most the time things DO NOT happen when we think they are going to happen or even how? I have heard it said that what does not break us makes us stronger. According to the Word of God the joy of the Lord is my strength. So if I am feeling weak and saying it is taking too long then I need joy!
Look at what Jesus went through! Hebrews 12:2 says"...for the joy of obtaining the prize that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God...." All this occurred in the fullness of time. Not our time but Gods time. Jesus say that what he was obtaining was far more valuable than what He was going through. He did what He did for you and me.
You see, God lives in eternity and if you are born again so do you....time as we know it is for this realm but Gods realm is timeless.
When we look at the bigger picture and trust in the ONE who holds are future we can stand strong with the joy of the Lord knowing that everything becomes beautiful it its time!
Proverbs 19: 21 "....it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand..."
Remember it only takes a second and things can change!!!! BE READY!!!!!

Whatever it takes!

It is a phrase we use in conversation but are we really doing it! Are we doing what ever it takes to achieve what we want in life? Is the price we pay to do whatever it takes too high?
The answer is a resounding NO!!! The price is not too high as long as we are doing it Gods' way. Hebrews 11:40...God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us. That is a concept we sometimes do not understand; better and greater.
Jesus also said that He is with us all the days and every occasion. He just needs us to agree with Him and sometimes it takes all we have and more to get the better and greater. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says..thanks be to God who ALWAYS leads us in triumph...
All Gods' promises are YES but we have to do whatever it takes to possess them. Are you willing to do what ever it takes??? If you are then, go possess the promise. It belongs to you anyway!

A Challenge

Standing on the Word of God is a challenge when all your physical evidence says something else. I know that God makes His word come to pass if we dare to believe it.
The challenge is believing it; not from our heads but from the heart.
Isaiah55:9-11 says it all.
Take time to meditate and pray this scripture and you watch how God will answer any and all prayers you need Him too.
But one thing to remember, God uses men so do not despise the messenger, look for God who answers prayer.

Trust the timing of God

We live in a hurry up do it now society where if things do not go the way we want or fast enough we feel we are not achieving our goal. Even when we are obeying God in something we usually go before Him with our thoughts on how it all should work out. Ever been there?
Psalm 62:8 says to have confidence in HIM at all times. That means even when we think this should of occurred or this should of happened remember that GOD has a divine timing for everything. HIS timing is the selection of the best time in order to achieve the desired result. NOW that is what I call timing. All said and done we all want the timing of God but the question is do we have the confidence in HIM that even when it turns out another way then I thought that God will still achieve HIS desired result for the situation. BUT we have to trust HIM instead of ourselves and what we think the timing of all this should be. Trusting God will empower you to let go and let GOD. He knows what is best for us! AMEN

Mind Management

In the days we are living in we are all too aware of the time, schedules and commitments we need to manage. There is one more thing far more important than the ones just listed and there is not much conversation about it and that is: managing your mind.
In Proverbs there are several scriptures that tell us how to manage our minds. It is one of those things that if not managed it will think what ever it wants.
Proverbs 14:30 "a calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body..."
WOW! You are probably thinking to yourself: You have got to be kidding, no one has an undisturbed mind. It is not possible to obtain that.. Well, you are right in a way. Again, all by itself, if NOT managed, your mind can be your worse enemy.
BUT, in Proverbs 23:12 says "apply your mind to instruction..." So, we see that WE have to apply our mind to instruction; and not just any instruction. We apply the instruction of the WORD to our minds but reading it, meditating on it and speaking it out our mouths. If you continue to verse 19 it says to direct your mind in the way of the Lord.
There is so much about what to do with the mind and how to instruct it in the book of Proverbs. Take some time and read it. Don't just read it to read it, read it with and eye to what GOD would have you direct your mind towards.
See, I have been doing that for too long now so I know it works, you just have to work the Word into your mind.
Now go and manage your mind and enjoy the freedom that it will bring.

What has your attention?

We are drawn to what ever we are focused and consumed about. It will either draw you closer to your destiny or slowly draw you away. It is vitally important that we attend to the Word of God. Especially in the day that we are living in.
Think about it, when God created the world His attention was on building His Kingdom here on earth. Even when things went away from the destiny in the garden God NEVER took His attention off His purpose.
We are created in His image and likeness so we have the same potential to KEEP our attention on the "prize" that is ahead of us but we must choose wisely.
When we follow after destiny and the plan of God we have gone from admiring Jesus to following Him.
As we walk by faith we don't necessarily have all the understanding but because we have our attention on the ONE who does we go forward in confidence and assurance that it will turn out as HE has said.
I don't know about you but I have gone too far into following Him and fixing my attention on Him to cash it all in now! It is worth the wait; it is priceless.
Acts 27: 20-25 is an account of Paul and keeping His attention on what was promised. I believe that as you read these passages they will encourage you to keep on going, build your faith and obtain the promise Gog God that it will be as it was said to you!
