Cage Titans rolled back into Plymouth Memorial Hall on September 12 for Cage Titans 78, and the cage delivered a typical Titans night: hungry amateurs, a pile of finishes, and a new bantamweight champion.

The Superfight opened with Cain Cawley’s guillotine. Then the card stacked takedowns, rear-naked chokes, a nasty modified americana, and Joe Jones putting Ben Kalber out cold. Daeri Alderman closed the title picture with an armbar on Nick Eldridge at 1:26 of Round 1.

Cage Titans 78 was a finisher’s night in Plymouth. Cawley tapped Da Silva early. St. Fort, Genesis, Wall, Poirier, Arnold, and Jones all ended it inside the distance. Jones’s KO and Genesis’s modified americana were the two that jumped off the screen.

The best three-round fight was Zane vs. Carbonneau. Carbonneau took the decision after an absolute stand-up war.

The biggest result of the night was the title fight. Daeri Alderman walked through Nick Eldridge and locked the armbar at 1:26 of Round 1 to become the new Cage Titans bantamweight champion.

Solid card, fast finishes, new champ. Another good one in the books.

NEF 68 in Rumford was a finisher’s night. Seven MMA bouts, six of them ended inside the distance — guillotine, three rear-naked chokes, two TKOs, and Avry Jones walking Ben Rogers into a head kick that ended it at 2:59 of Round 1.

Bryce Whittemore needed just over a minute. Georgia Smith locked a guillotine in Round 1. Tyree Durham broke Qasim Abdullah with ground-and-pound in the third. Jethro Pease and Nick Kotiw both found the RNC in Round 2.

The main event was the best fight of the night. Sam Charles and Omar Zarazua went back and forth before Charles slammed Zarazua, took the back, and forced the tap at 0:52 of Round 2 to become the new NEF champion.

NEF also announced Ed Davis vs. CJ Ewer for NEF 69. Another solid Maine card in the books.
