The Robert G. and Nellie B. den Dulk Lectures on Pastoral Ministry will be brought by the Rev. Nathan Lewis on April 21-23, 2009 at 10am in the WSC Chapel. The theme for this year is "Church Planting at the End of the Trail." Rev. Lewis will deliver three lectures titled, "The Church Good for the World: Salt and Light Metaphors Inform Church Planting," "Let it Alone for this Year: The Patient Gardener Metaphor Informs Church Planting," and "The Evolution of Evergreen Church Planting."

The Cambridge Study Program is a guided study with Dr. Chad Van Dixhoorn focusing on the Westminster Assembly. Lectures will be held in the mornings for the first week only and the second week will be devoted to student research supervised by Dr. Van Dixhoorn in preparation for the completion of a major essay by each student. Students are invited to take this course for credit; the program is also available for audit for students, alumni and pastors.

2009 is the 500th anniversary of John Calvin’s birth. To honor his legacy, WSC is offering a tour, “The Church in History: An Italian Perspective.” This tour, led by WSC president Dr. W. Robert Godfrey, begins in Rome and ends in Geneva, Switzerland, where we will join people from all over the U.S. and parts of Europe who have come to participate in the “Calvin 500” Anniversary Conferences. Our goal is to deepen our appreciation of the history of Christianity as we see it displayed in ancient, medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque art and architecture in Italy. Join us for two fun weeks of learning church history—with no test at the end!
