Biography
Quella del multiverso è, in fisica moderna, un'ipotesi sulla coesistenza di più universi, di dimensioni parallele. I Multiverso prendono in prestito il nome da questa teoria, intesa come metafora della complessità umana: ogni individuo è un universo.
La loro musica si ispira prevalentemente alla scena rock e grunge degli anni '90, e propone nei testi una riflessione sul tempo, sulla crescita, che in alcuni brani fa riferimento al mondo delle fiabe.
Formatasi nel 2014 sulle sponde del Lago Maggiore, la band ha terminato da poco la realizzazione del suo primo album, in uscita a gennaio 2017.

The debut full-length by Allison Crutchfield titled Tourist in This Town sonically pulls back the curtain on her life and places Crutchfield center stage, fully revealing her power, conviction, and grace. The Alabama native has immersed herself in music since her teenage years, forming notable bands such as P.S. Eliot and Bad Banana (both with her twin sister Katie of Waxahatchee). In 2012, she co-founded Swearin’—the band in which she would truly begin to formulate and understand her full potential as a songwriter—and in 2014, she recorded and released her first solo EP Lean In To It. Her debut album is an accomplished work that integrates her past musical experiences with a pronounced growth in arrangement and instrumentation.

The Line of Best Fit -
Tourist In This Town is Crutchfield shedding this baggage. It’s perhaps more cathartic for her than anyone else. But there’s always something here that you can relate to in some part.

Last year, my friend Dan opened a record store in Long Island and we almost immediately talked about doing an acoustic show the week whatever next record I was working on came out. The night of the final presidential debate, a bunch of us crammed into his small air-conditioned store, which soon became muggy with human sweat. I played a bunch of songs I'd never played before, with no microphones or PA system, spoke to some people, changed my shirt, drank a water and headed back home to get ready for tour. A buncha weeks later my buddy Dan e-mailed this recording and was like "heyyyy" and I was like "heyyyyyyy" and here we are!

The Immigrant Defense Project uses impact litigation and advocacy to challenge unfair laws and policies and media and communications to counter the pervasive demonization of immigrants. They also provide expert legal advice, training, and resources to immigrants, legal defenders, and grassroots organizations, to support those on the frontlines of the struggle for justice.

Cloud Nothings was founded in a Cleveland basement, the one-man recording project of Dylan Baldi. Prolific from the start, Baldi’s early work was rough but immediate: crudely recorded, spring-loaded spasms of Buzzcocks-informed pop that quickly found an online following among the lo-fi-inclined.

“This” is "Life Without Sound", the radiant, far-far-better-than-okay fourth full-length his rock outfit has recorded since he began writing and releasing songs on his own under the Cloud Nothings alias in 2008. While its highly acclaimed predecessor—2014’s "Here and Nowhere Else"—came together spontaneously, in the little time that touring allowed, "Life Without Sound" took shape under far less frenetic circumstances

Pretty Much Amazing -
Life Without Sound builds on the already impressive groundwork laid by Cloud Nothings’ past three studio albums, but proves how strong the band is as the sum of its parts.

Baldi has bulked up the band’s lo-fi production values for a more muscular sound while retaining the youthful energy of his songwriting.

The Line of Best Fit -
Life Without Sound is a triumph of Baldi’s vision - for something bigger than just hard and heavy punk, and for rock and roll with pop intelligence. He’s pulled off both here.

Consequence of Sound -
It’s a chugging, nimble-footed affair, showing a matured and restrained group; no more eight-minute-plus pounding, slashing jams, replaced instead with a sense of clarity and focus, a driving, raw sonic thesis statement.

Pretty Much Amazing -
I’m not sure if Ty Segall is the unifying artistic statement he’s been working toward this whole time (as late-career self-titled albums often are), but it might be his best work to date.

Pitchfork -
Segall’s new album feels like a sampler of what he’s been up to in the last half-decade. It's an easy entry point into his imposing catalog, and a complete portrait of his many capabilities.

Scraping off the garage  rock grit and disjointed sharp edges that characterised his  previous album ‘Emotional Mugger’ for this definitive self-portrait, Segall scrubs  up great.

After playing the last of their 200 shows in more than 40 countries in support of their critically acclaimed 2012 album Celebration Rock, Japandroids took a much needed break to rest and recover after their last show in November of 2013. The band would not play again for three years. This month, they made their triumphant return to the stage, playing intimate shows in Vancouver, LA, Toronto, London and NYC, in which they treated fans to their favorites from Celebration Rock and Post-Nothing, and previewed a handful of new, unreleased songs. Now, the band has announced their much anticipated third album, Near To The Wild Heart Of Life, out worldwide on Anti- this January 27, 2017.

Near To The Wild Heart Of Life, was written clandestinely throughout 2014 and 2015 in Vancouver, Toronto, New Orleans, and Mexico City. It was (mostly) recorded by Jesse Gander (who had previously recorded both Post-Nothing and Celebration Rock) at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver, BC (September-November, 2015). One song, True Love And A Free Life Of Free Will, was recorded by Damian Taylor during an exploratory recording session at Golden Ratio in Montreal, QC (February, 2015). The album was mixed by Peter Katis at Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT (May, 2016) and mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound in New York, NY (July, 2016).

Rolling Stone -
Even when they were screaming Vancouver scrappers recording songs like "Darkness at the Edge of Gastown," you knew there was a classic rock act at the punk heart of Japandroids. On their third LP, that band is out of the closet.

Pitchfork -
For the most part, Near to the Wild Heart of Life sticks to the Japandroids M.O., but the end results are less enticing.

Under The Radar -
You already know if you want a Japandroids' album-once again, they've provided a 30-minute blast of hopeful, soaring rock. There are some differences on this album (better lyrics, different instruments, and better mixing), but perhaps the biggest difference is a world in which a blast of hope is more needed than ever.

Speaking on the concept behind the new record, Akira Kawasaki said, “After the disaster of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in 2011 and through my experience of suffering from asymptomatic brain infarction, I came to feel death familiar. I have been influenced by the book ‘Near-death experience’ by a Japanese journalist Takashi Tachibana and the documentary TV program about it.”

Twenty years now there’s been this thing, our band, Joan of Arc. Sometimes we forget about it and let it fizzle out for a year while we tend to our lives. Sometimes we cling to it for a year and wake up surprised and exhausted every day for months on end, given walking tours of old Italian towns, browsing dreary British pedestrian malls or barefooted organic grocers on the Pacific coast. We know how lucky we are.

The less we feel like a band—the more we can continue to be a band, but escape that feeling of doing all those shitty, corny things expected of bands—the truer to ourselves we feel. And you all know it, everyone knows it even if everyone has to bury it to get on with their day-to-day: the truer to ourselves we feel, the better everything gets. We have shifted shapes and modified our approaches quite a number of times in the course of twenty years. And we’ve done so always aiming to stay true to ourselves at that moment, by instinct and with conscious intent. This time, it took us a long time to figure out how to start back up. We threw away a lot of songs and started over, over and over.

But here’s the thing: We are getting better at being ourselves. So many of the postures of youth just fall away with time. Most bands break up by that point, or become caricatures of their younger selves. Because money is tricky, or I should say, it comes to be that energy is tricky to muster after all of it goes into the basics of sustaining yourself.

Every day, at some point, it occurs to me that Richard Brautigan killed himself at the age that I am now. But I got this community of weirdo collaborators to lean on that he never had.

We’ve never had an audience that gets any validation of its coolness through liking us. We’ve mangled, juxtaposed, and collaged too many elements for that social contract. But we trust each other.

This time, finally, we trusted each other enough to throw all the songs away, to even throw away every preconceived idea about which one of us should take position at which instrument. We hit Record and played, and our collective tastes emerged. And they, our tastes in the moment, were the only standards in all the expanse of the stupefying and beautiful unknown universe, that we regarded as relevant in the least.

He’s Got the Whole This Land Is Your Land in His Hands isn’t without resemblance to its distant forebears. It’s evident that the most prominent consistencies between then and now would be the creative tics of the one founding core member, but it is nonetheless impressive that Kinsella’s hyperactive imagination has relented so little.

It plays like Kinsella’s belated answer to the smirking whimsy-pop of the Unicorns, but without the inclusive spirit, and it may be the most overtly irritating thing he’s ever done.
