Dear Cosmic Warrior’s of the Universe,

Youngblood Brass Band (YBB), the godfathers of riot jazz, will be returning to The Kazimier on Thursday, 16th October 2014. £9 Tickets (see details on the bottom of this).

It’s been 4 years since their last gig in Liverpool and We, the Undersigned (WTU) are excited to be supporting their STANKH sound – an explosive mix of horny, funkalicious afrobeat with a side of reggae.

CAUTION: this night will be sweaty and loud. It will contain high amounts of riotious horn lines, tough rhythms and a ultra-low-frequency bass woabs from a sousaphone!

Who are YBB?
Globe-trotting riot jazzers Youngblood Brass Band are focused on creating progressive, raw, acoustic, modern, dance-til-you-mean-it music. The ten-member ensemble, born in Wisconsin, now hails from all over the US (New York NY / Nashville TN / Minneapolis MN / Chicago IL / Madison WI).
Their new album, Pax Volumi (released 10 Sept 2013 on Tru Thoughts) is a masterpiece of production, creativity, conviction, and individual performance. YBB is making music that is completely unlike anything else, with an aesthetic that cannot be matched.
