Why?

Well, you see, I’ve been living a double life.  On one side, I’ve been an Internet Marketer.  That included doing huge product launches, consulting, copywriting, product creation, sales letters, ideas, social media marketing, Twitter, this, that, and everything else.

However, I also lived another life that was on a website called, http://www.robert-hawthorne.com.  The site doesn’t look anything like it used to.  It used to have a TON of pages and a lot of info for the Network Marketing company I was associated with for six years.

Ahhh… Network Marketing.  MLM.  Multi-Level Marketing.  One of those “pyramid deals” the uneducated may call it.  Over the last few years, I’ve secretly earned seven figures in Network Marketing by combining what I know with Internet Marketing with Network Marketing.  Everything I was was white hat, on the up and up, and for the most part, totally under the radar.

So here’s the deal….

I’m closing EVERYTHING down.  I shut down my copywriting business: http://www.rhinocopywriting.com. I’ve shut down many other websites.  I’ve sold a few websites.  I officially left the Network Marketing Company I was with for six years today.  I walked away from a big Twitter Software app that was 90% completed that had big potential.  You name it… I shut it down or I’m just a day or two from shutting it down.

Now why on earth would I do all this… ESPECIALLY since my wife and I have our first child on the way?

Am I totally nuts… or do I know a little secret?

Well, for the first time ever, I’m finally releasing my “other” identity to the marketing world.

Now most of what I’ve done online over the years have either been in pen names or I asked those who I had worked with not to mention my name.  I did all I could to remain “underground” in the Internet Marketing world - and did so for a variety of reasons.

However… I’m pulling out all the stops now.

This is it.  It’s all or nothing baby.  I’m going “all in”.

THE LAST POST: I have been living a double life. Here’s where I’ve quietly earned seven figures online… and learn what I’m about to do.

I’ll admit I’ve fallen on my face a few times over the years trying to figure out this whole “Real Estate Investing” thing.  Like many people, I know it can make you a lot of money and build wealth, but I also know you can lose it just as fast if you make even just a couple of mistakes.

WhackedOut Real Estate Investing In A Slow Economy?

Uhhh Ohhh… I had a feeling what he was up to.  I was right.

He asked the audience to talk about their business and what they need some “Outrageous” or “WhackedOut” ideas on and Joe and I would come up with some ideas for them.

I’ve never had to come up with WhackedOut ideas on the spot in front of anyone on the fly, let alone an audience!  But you know?  I actually had a lot of fun doing it!

I’ve done something like that on this blog in the past - not on purpose… but in the middle of writing a blog post, an idea plopped into my head for someone who had posted on my blog and I just went with it… I blogged out my WhackedOut idea for them.

Show Me Yours And I’ll Show You Mine… Maybe I’ll Even Whack Your Business!

It’s a strange feeling, really.  Over the last 6 or so years, I’ve been marketing online very quietly.  Between my own projects, copywriting, product launches, etc. I’ve been been quite content living in my own little world and managing business via email and phone.

Then, a few weeks ago I received an email from Dr. Joe Vitale that turned my world upside down.  He asked if I’d be his secret guest speaker at his Awakened Millionaire Training seminar in Austin.

If it was anyone else, I more than likely would have said no.  However, it was Joe Vitale that helped me open my mind and learn how to tame this often wild and WhackedOut idea generation machine I have in my head through his books, courses, and through face-to-face time with him a couple of times at his Estate here in Texas.

I’ve never presented a full presentation before.  I’ve also NEVER spoken publicly about any of my WhackedOut Marketing ideas besides on this blog.  And… I’ve NEVER shared some of my secret product launch tactics that I shared at the event yesterday. More on that in a moment…

So of course I told Joe, yes!  I worked on my PowerPoint presentation off and on adding things, taking things out, wondering if I really should add this or that, and essentially driving myself a little crazy.

Joe has asked me to speak for about an hour, then he mentioned an hour and a half, and when I was at the event, he was totally fine if it went over.  (He gave so much great info and gave so many nuggets away that he had nearly drained all of his energy!)  More on this ‘energy’ thing in a moment, too…

Man… I wasn’t sure if I had even 20 minutes worth of PowerPoint slides.

I wasn’t nervous until the very second he called me up to the front of the room after an incredible introduction, which by the way I think I forgot to thank him for when I got up there because I was so focused on my presentation.

So I did my thing, gave away some nuggets, talked about some of my launch methods I’ve never ever released to anyone before, talked a little about Twitter, and other confidential things that you’ll only be able to see once the DVD’s become available… IF they become available…

The information shared at Joe’s event was incredible.  Sadly, it’s still going on today but we had to head back last night due to some family things.

If Joe ever decides to put on another one of these events, I’d highly suggest you do whatever you can to get there.  You’d love it and really walk away with a TON of action items to do as soon as you got back home.

This whole public speaking thing is something I’ve avoided for quite some time.  I’m not 100% sure why, I guess I just enjoyed doing things behind the scenes.  But now that I’ve done it, I realize that it isn’t all that bad.  Public speaking is the # 1 fear you know - even higher than death!

So this has me thinking… maybe this is something I should do every once in a while to share my secret WhackedOut ideas, marketing techniques, publicity tactics, etc. with a very small and select group of business owners?

Something to think about… I wonder if people would be interested in an all day event like that????

However, I do know this: public speaking literally sucks the energy right out of you.  I was amazed by this.  Of the few books I’ve read about public speaking, I don’t recall this being talked about.  Within a few hours after speaking, I felt as if I had been up for 14 days straight.

I slept longer last night than I’ve slept in MONTHS.

So if I ever plan to do my own mini secret event, or if I ever speak at another event… Remind me to do it later in the day.

I learned a lot… and thinking back I can see where I made some mistakes in my presentation.  I ‘presented’ a little too much and didn’t allow my own personality to come through.  But my biggest mistake I made as not thanking Joe for the GREAT into he gave me when I got up there.  :)  Thanks, Joe.

One of my clients has been hard at work over the last few months working on a brand new dog ebook that is unlike any other dog book out there.  And no, it doesn’t have anything to do with dog food or learning how to train a dog.

Over the years, I’ve written many sales letters where I really get into the heads of the target audience.  It’s not easy to do and some markets are easier than others to do so.

But this new sales letter for the dog ebook goes way beyond anything I’ve ever written.  Even I got choked up writing it!  :)

See your number clearly.  How does thinking about this number make you feel?

(Short version: Take your number, add 3 to it.)

Step 4: The Twitter Login Average

My research shows the average light user logs into his or her Twitter account three times a day.  So what I want you to do is multiply the number you are holding onto in your head by THREE.

Hold this number in your head.  Write it down immediately if you feel the urge to do so like most others do.

(Short version: Take your number and multiply it by 3.)

Step 5: The Twitter Banana Split

Just like splitting a banana in two when making a banana split, you want to take the two digit number that you have in your mind, seperate those two numbers, and then add them together.

What is the number that you are holding in your head?  Write it down if you feel the need to.

Now Scroll down and look for your number.  Whoever you see associated with that number, immediately click on their name and start following them.  Based on the number you chose, this person is someone that you really need to start following and pay attention to like your business or life depended on it!
