Whale Sharks mostly wander in deep waters and navigate on very long trips, stopping at several areas that are rich in Plankton, their favorite food.
There is not enough data about these migrations and the only from acoustic tracking, Satellite track, Photo and Tags.(The longest Whale Shark record of a journey of over 13 000 km and 36 months and the deepest point was 970 meters depth)

Whale Sharks are mostly found around tropical warm waters. Sightings are reported at:
South Africa, Belize, Western Australia, Honduras, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Tanzania and Eilat, Israel, and the coasts of Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Isla Holbox in the Yucatán Península.
