People acting badly: Nadya Suleman aka Octo-Mom

We are astounded that Nadya Suleman, the Octo-Mom that gave birth to '8' children, while raising '6' others was allowed to even be inseminated. The news is full of stories about limiting 1-2 embryos - but when you already have size children... the number should have been a resounded Zero!!!

First, the doctor - Dr. Michael Kamrava should have his license reviewed. Placing eight embryos into this woman is an unethical crime. Think of the children and their lives. The chances they will have disabilities is high. And the cost! In this recessionary period, money better spent on the truly needed will be siphoned to pay this selfish misguided bitch's expenses. Shame on you Suleman.

And now, seeking paid publicity. You are sick and misguided! Of course, if one of these networks pays your way - the state and federal government should ensure that tax dollars do not go to his bitch to pay for the children.

Ms. Suleman - why don't you let 8 desiring parents adopt these children - that would be the best course of action... then having US pay YOUR way.

Enough about this sick lady... go away Suleman... fade away fast. I won't watch you on any paid interview.

Stimulus Package: Where is the bi-partisan support?

Partisan politics is more alive then ever, even with this age of "change" promised by President Obama. CNN reports that there is a low overall support for this stimulus package....

CNN reports: "An $819 billion version of the stimulus bill passed the House of Representatives two weeks ago, with no Republican support. The Senate is expected to vote Tuesday on a different version of the bill, which would include more tax cuts and less government spending. Democrats support the bill," ... while ONLY three Republican senators appear to support this legislation.

Why is this? What a World truly believes the Republicans want what is best for our country as do the Democrats. So why this HUGE partisan divide? And why does 45% of Americans oppose this package? Is anyone listening in the Democratic Party or is this another Pelosi and Reid spend-fest?

We believe that Obama should step up as a leader and force a revisit of this terrible stimulus package. Instead, he is being controlled by Pelosi and Reid - and we all will pay the price. Yes, as President Obama said, spending is stimulus. BUT it has to be the right spending programs that will have an immediately impact. A Frisbee park or new Homeland Security building, or a dog park will NOT save us. And what is in the package that impacts the homeowners. Remember them - they started this whole mess with their over-extended loans and Banking & Wall Street greed. President Obama, time to step up and truly change this government... or was that a campaign false promise?

Bad Politics: Different President, Same "Bad" Politics

We don't understand.Where is the change in our government? President Obama offered us hope and change, and yet we still have Pelosi and Reid.

What a World is deeply concerned about the current stimulus package or even the need for such an expensive program. In the current House package (we haven't see what the Senate removed), we see pet programs... aka PORK. We see Frisbee Parks, new lawns and offices... we see so much that is NOT stimulus for the rest of us. We see infrastructure programs that payout over many years. The need is now... the need does not include Frisbee's. Or funding a controversial Democratic PAC - Acorn!

$5 billion for Democrat political action groups like ACORN

$500,000 for dog parks

$4.5 million for butterfly gardens

$6 million for water slides

$1 million for a Frisbee golf course

$20 million "for the removal of small- to medium-sized fish passage barriers"

$25 million to rehabilitate off-roading (ATV) trails

$34 million to remodel the Department of Commerce headquarters

What we would like to see if the name of the House Representative that shamelessly and selfishly placed some of these programs in the package. Do the Democrats really care about YOU? With a package like this, unless you are into butterflies or Frisbee's's - we think they care only about themselves. Change you can count on - hardly! Shame on you Democrats!

And when asked, President Obama said that all this pork was less than 1% of the full bill. Isn't 1% too much when you are spending our children's future? We think so...

Michael Phelps: A Weak Bong Controversy

We live in a society that loves to elevate celebrities and others, then smash them all up. The latest is Michael Phelps, the Swimming Olympian who was caught with a "bong"

What a World does not condone the use of pot, and we think Mr. Phelps (age 23) should have known better, but it wasn't like he murdered someone or ripped you off. He was caught with a bong, he apologized and - perhaps should do a few anti-drug commercials. Move on... it's over... there is nothing more to see here.

BUT not - the media must continue to drag this one out. The more the media makes a stink, the more his support system collapses. Kellogg's decided not to renew - but we suspect they weren't going to anyway (they dropped their support for swimming months ago). BUT now they can show how high and mighty they are... as they let his contract lapse.

Phelps is a young man, he will make mistakes (are YOU perfect). Now - let's move on to more important things and let this over-exposed Phelps story... drown out....

Gaza: Hamas is at fault

It amazes me that Hamas can launch rockets at Israeli citizens, and no one seems to get upset (except Israel). Where was the Europeans? Or the (impotent) United Nations? Yet Israel defends it's homeland and everyone is all ticked off.

We at What a World are with Israel on this one. Root them out, kill their leaders. Unfortunately, innocent citizens are killed and hurt. If Hamas stores their weapons or takes positions among citizens (cowards), what would you expect.

Although, it seems the protests are slight - and we believe this time Hamas is going to get their punishment, and the world is clicking their tongues but not really protesting. It is time Hamas is beaten.

We heard on commentator make the analogy. If Connecticut was launching missles into NYC, do you think that New Yorkers would stand by? Time for Hamas to be beaten - and beaten bad.

Go Israel. defend your homeland and beat the bastards!

People Acting Badly: WalMart Worker Dies to Start the Season

Hurry Hurry - Big Sale At WalMart. Quick, bust the doors down... we have to get that toy for Lil Johnny. And the Holiday Season has begun, leaving one man dead.

Over 2,000 stupid consumers trampled a worker at the Valley Stream NY WalMart, killing him as they rushed in the doors to get their deals and presents. F**king stupid people, they had to be in the store at 5am and no consideration when the doors collapsed on a worker.

Ahhh the holidays, when man is rude to his fellow man over parking spaces, long lines and the last Tickle me Elmo (or whatever junk is the toy of the year). Gotta love how people cut you on the highway and in the parking lots ,.... and to all a Happy Holiday now get the fuck out of my way!

Second Life: Get a Life?

Second Life, the virtual world where Avatars rule... seems a bit alien to us at What a World. People live in this vitual world, do work, earn money and apparently have virtual sex with prostitutes. In a strange twist, according to this CNN Article, a couple who married both in the real and virtual world are now getting a divorce (in both). Apparently the man's Avatar (aka Dan Pollard) was caught with an Avatar prostitute after she (aka Amy Taylor) hired an online private detective.

Are you getting all this?

However, we at What a World are so happy that Amy nows has a new boyfriend, from the virtual WarCraft world.

Do these people have lives? Maybe we need to sign on and start the What a "Virtual" World blog! Nah - this real world is strange enough.... ya think?

Election Day in America - is it finally over?

First and foremost - VOTE. If you don't vote - don't complain. Just go out there and Vote.

Now we are worried however with this long campaign coming to an end? What will CNN's Wolf Blitzer do with his time? Will all the politcal pundits be out of work, on the street? We know Lou Dobbs will still be complaining or yelling at someone - along with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly - but what about all the coorespondents on the campaign trail? Will Candy Crowley be ok? I am worried about them.

Now seriously, we should take a hard looking at campaign reforms. It is like seeing Christmas decorations coming out during Halloween... will the 2012 campaign start tomorrow? We at What a World recommend that elections cannot begin more than one year from the actual election - and that campaign financing be made equitable. Does the campaign that raises the most money really the most effective leader for our country?

Historic Election: Did the Republicans Punt?

In any match up, whether in the boxing ring, the Super Bowl or elections - you want to have the best teams or candidates face each other. Is John McCain the best possible candidate to face a charismatic Barack Obama?

What a World thinks we know what was in the minds of the Republican National Committee members - punt. Yes - cede to the Democrats this year, regroup and come back strong in 2012. We think this because of how poorly the Republicans, especially and led by George W. Bush are perceived. Did the RNC foresee that no matter who they put up against Obama (or Hillary Clinton), they would lose and the slate of candidates damaged? With McCains age, he isn't going to run again in 2012 - so the loss won't mean anything to a better potential candidate.

Then consider this, the triad of Pelosi, Reid and Obama will certainly cause a more bloated government, raise Joe the Plumbers taxes and - worse, allow Iran to freely build their bomb. In four years, the Republican will have enough ammunition to clean the Democrats house (and senate - and oval office). The Democrats will hurt not help the very people who are now casting votes for Obama (we went with McCain by the way). So there will be a high level of delusion - and thus allow for a strong Republican slate... who can simply say - we told you so. and win big

Strategy means taking the long view - giving up ground today to win back more tomorrow. We the people are just pawns in the political machine - so the RNC can bid it's time. We could be wrong, as strategic moves always come with risk. Stay tuned and god help us pawns...

Microsoft Vista Sucks!

What a world got a new laptop, an HP, which came with Microsoft Vista. We were concerned, even asked for XP - but that request was denied by the retailer. Ok - so we gave it a try. Initially, it seemed fine... just had to learn where the various functions and controls were located - no big deal. Then we started to find problems, irratating problems.

First - a PC with Vista on a network cannot see a computer with XP. Vista can see Vista and XP can see XP - but one Microsoft operating system cannot see the other. What's up with that?

Next - Vista seems to cause my laptop to slow down over the day. Typing becomes difficult, as it seems there is a delay or buffer. Usually restarting the PC cures this. What's up with this?

More - Installed an HP printer at home and in the office - the same model. On my XP laptop, when I switched locations the printer was always found. You guessed it, on my Fucked Up Vista laptop - the printer seems to disappear in the office... and i have to reinstall it each time i want to use it. Come on?

Even more - so on my XP laptop, simply inserting the Internet cable would cause it to find the internet. On my Vista laptop, I often need to go to the network settings and disable then enable to ethernet connection. and my wireless doesn't seem to pick up my home network - the XP laptop - you guessed it - easy. What's going on here?

Even MOORE - some software, like Skype doesnt seem to be working on my VISTA laptop, even after installing it. Vista seems to forget it was installed and it is buggy. Maybe this is a Skype issue - or more likely it is the brain damaged memory loss symptoms of Vista.

Lastly (for the moment), when I plug in my USB mouse - the one that has Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 embossed on it... the Vista laptop doesn't find it. It seems to ignore the USB slots sometimes. Sometimes it works. What's happening here?

I am sure if I hired a Geek, these problems would be resolved. There are probably settings that I need to make. BUT why would I or should I hire a geek to operate my laptop?

Bill Gates - VISTA sucks and I am not happy. Those Apple MAC vs PC commercials are funny and in this case - true. Hey Microsoft - what's up with this shitty operating system - VISTA?

What a World endorses.....

Before we make an endorsement, let us just say this has been the longest most drawn out campaign ever.We at what-a-world hope that there will be reforms in how campaigns are waged. We spoke to a friend in Canada - their whole election process came and went - and we are still at it.

Next -both parties have placed inferior candiates on their ticket. What was the Republican National Committee thinking having John McCain go against a highly personable and charismatic Barack Obama? On paper, a mis-match.

And - what was John McCain thinking when he selected Sarah Palin? Radical yes - but no experience. Sorry - we think he blew it and this may come down to the blunder that lost his bid for President. Romney would have been a much better choice.

Biden isnt a great prize either. What a contest and we the citizen... are the losers. I fear that Obama does not have the experience - and will in fact cost you and me more money. Why? He is a tax & spender - and coulded with Harry Reid and Pelosi - there are no checks and balances.

What a world considered moving to Canada - but we can't afford to sell our home, so we will endorse John McCain and hope he has great doctors to keep him healthy. McCain has the experience and will be an effective offset to the Democratic Congress. More on this later but we believe that the least of two evils will be John McCain for President. or Snoopy....

Amy Winehouse: Celebs we should ignore!

Rehab no no no... Why do we care about this total waste of talent - Amy Winehouse (hmmm Amy DRUGHOUSE). We at What a World don't get it... why must we see the headlines stating how Amy DRUGHouse opps Winehouse is in the hospital again.. and again... and again.

Why can't we say to Winehouse NO NO NO... we won't buy your crappy music, we won't watch your silly video's - and won't fund your DRUG habit. Is this a role model for our kids. We say NO NO NO!

Look - talent is a wonderful thing. There are few people that can sing or perform - and they should be rewarded for their unique talents. A scientist should be equally rewarded for their brilliance.. BUT do drugs, act like a f**kin jerk - and we should ignore you. Amy Winehouse - get a job as a secretary or sweeping floors... we don't care about you any more.. NO NO NO!

Clinton VP - The Pit Bull Lanny Davis Petition

It must be hard for Lanny Davis to beg. He is now begging people to sign a petition that would force Obama to add Hillary to the - Number 2 slot, VP. We posted the following comment on their web site and do not expect it to be included - since they moderate their board (http://womenforfairpolitics.com)

First, I see this is moderated so I am doubtful that my alternate view will be placed online.

However - I do not believe this is the right path for Obama. He needs someone with true foreign policy experience and access to the people that drive our domestic policy. Hillary does not offer this - in fact, she is very much like Obama in many regards.

BUT last night was a travisty. Why couldnt she gracefully concede and tip her support to OBama on his historic night. She is still fighting but the race is over. Is this the quality of a VP candidate.

No Lanny Davis - we think this is wrong. We also laugh seeing you now in a position of begging Obama to keep Hillary in mind. Time has gone by a long time ago for that Mr. Davis.

What can she do - stand up now and give her full support to Obama - and ask that her loyal follower now followe her lead! That would have been HUGE yesterday... but it is now today and her time is past... bad advice she received... wouldnt you say Mr. Davis?

We at What a`World remain independent and truly have not decided who will be the better President of our great country. However, we do not see the value both in election and administration of having Hillary (and Bill... and Harold Ickies and Lanny Davis) on the ticket. How quickly will they over run Obama and create a colition government.

Anyway - we have stated our case and truly believe that the DNC needs to inform Hillary she lost, and that she should not act like a good Democratic Party Member and give her full support to the presumed nominee - Barack Obama. Anything less is typical same ole Clinton politics.

Hillary Clinton: Sour Grapes - Poor Sport

BOO Hillary Clinton - such poor sportsmanship not conceding and giving Barack Obama his due - on this historic day. Since when does the 2nd place finisher act like she is the winner - when she finished 2nd!

CNN reports that one Clinton supporter said this is "her night". HER Night? No - this is Politics as usual - Typical Clinton Politics. BAD move Hillary Clinton. Shame on YOU!

Barack won the race... he crossed the line first and is the winner of the Democratic nomination. She should have acknowledged his win and took it graciously. Hillary made it all about her and in Barack's speech was about the Party.

Shame on you Hillary Clinton... you are ungracious, unsportsmanlike - politics as usual. We at What a World say no to Hillary as VP Candidate. She has fought hard - which is admirable. BUT she has fought dirty and in this last speech, thumbing her nose at Barack. Some say this is leverage - we think it was a final insult. Shame on your Hillary Clinton.

Florida/Michigan - Democratic PartyMess

Gotta love politics. The Democratic candidates, including Hillary Clinton, signed on to punish Michigan and Florida for their misdeeds. But ahhh politics. Hillary is losing and she has a change of heart. Count the votes!

First, this whole mess shows just how poorly managed the Democratic Party is... Didn't anyone stop and consider how this punishment would play out? This has nothing to do with Hillary or Obama.

Yet now, count the votes. How con-veeeeeen-ient! Let's just change the rules and get these delegates counted to.. ohh my oh my they all seemed to vote for Hillary Clinton. How connn-veeeeen-ient!

This is a mess and yes, Florida and Michigan should be represented at the convention. However, Hillary signed on just as Obama did - so how can these delegates go to Hillary? I think this makes Hillary Clinton's candidacy a farce... that she must now flip-flop on the very rules she signed on to - and worry about the pour souls of Florida and Michigan.

Folks from these two important states... if Hillary was winning - would she really care about you?

So what is the solution. Each state shall have two delegates with voting capabilities. One for Barack and the other Hillary. What more can they do? They cannot give the delegates as per the vote -when they werent suppose to be campaigning. Can they take them all away and make the country now only 48 states.

Oh the mess the Democrats have gotten themselves into.... how they get out may in fact determine if the Democratics will have any chance to take the White House. Their management skills - andHillary's financial skills - make things doubtful.

Sad Week for Comics: Martin & Korman

Grow up Media... please grow up. This story, where Barack Obama states his Uncle (meant Great Uncle) helped free Auschwitz (oops meant Buchenwald)... is a tempest in a a teapot. This is not like Hilliar's Bosnia adventure.

Uncle... Great Uncle... Auschwitz... Buchenwald he didn't have his facts, which is indeed odd - but it's also minor. It's a gaffe... a small mistake. President Bush screws up the language and does anyone remeber VP Dan Qualye.

Enough of this silliness... again, so wonder the best and brightest our country has to offer will never run for President.

Justice - Evil Lori Drew Indicted!

Yes! The Evil Lori Drew is indicted for the crimes against Megan Meier!

A sharp Los Angeles based Prosecutor leveraged the MySpace terms and conditions and was able to determine that the dastardly Lori Drew violated key sections. And since the MySpace servers are in Los Angeles, she must go there to face justice. How inconvenient eh Evil B**CH!

If the allegations stick, she faces five years on each of the four counts. We suspect there will be some prison time, a few years at the most. Certainly not enough to make up for her irresponsible behavior - but enough to make it known - she is a criminal.

We believe that anyone associated with her on this crime should also be included, which may mean her husband (what a lucky guy) and the young employee at her (now closed!) business, Ashley Grills. Of course, having Ms. Grills take the stand against the horrible Lori Drew should help toss her behind jail bars.

This won't bring back poor Megan - but will send a message to adults (and maybe minors) that cyber-bullying will not be tolerated. And from a "so called" responsible adult - it's a crime.

John Edwards steps Up for Obama

Finally - John Edwards stepped from the shadows and cast his vote for Barack Obama. The timing clearly repudiates Hillary Clinton's rhetoric about white working class Americans favoring her over Obama.

In other words, how to take a Hillary Clinton West Virginia win and turn it into a strategic loss. As Bill Clinton recently said, Politics is a Contact Sport -if you can't take it, move on. This was a full body blow to her campaign. Of the Democrats, we prefer Obama over Hilliar - but we remain... Independent until the we see the cadence of the general election. Time to step out Hillary.

PS: We do not believe a Obama/Clinton ticket is a good idea...

Clinton - On the way to the White House???

She trails by even more delegate counts after her loss in North Carolina and (we don't even know who will win Indiana). In her speach tonight, she makes it seem that she has pulled ahead - but in truth, she trails even further. How can she declare such a win - when no one has even declared a winner in Indiana?

Same old Clinton Politics.

And what happens when it is told that Indiana is won by Obama? And really, is a 2-4% variance really a win especially with the way delegates are shared? And with Obama winning in the major city and urban areas of Indiana - she actually will get less delegates than Obama.

Politics is a weird math business...
