I was watching the CBS Evening News and saw Katie Couric do this segment about Bruno Serato, Mamma Serato and feeding needy children at the Anaheim White House Restaurant in Anaheim, California

I was moved big time, as any person with a pulse would be.

After watching this segment on CBS Evening news about Mr. Bruno Serato, who serves FREE gourmet meals to under privileged American Children five nights a week at his restaurant, the Anaheim White House Restaurant, located in Anaheim, California, I felt compelled to put this on my blog!

Why?

Why not?

Here is how it began.

Bruno's mother asked him to do so!

Mr. Serato's mother came to visit him here in the USA several years ago and she witnessed kids eating potato chips, simply because their parents could not afford to provide them a simple meal.

Mamma Serato then asked her son Bruno to cook pasta/gourmet meals for these needy children.

At first Mr. Bruno Serato did not feel obligated to cook so many meals for all these children, but once he started he could not stop. To this day he continues to do so...simply because his mother from Italy asked him to do so when she came to visit him here in America.

What a wonderful thing that Mr. Serato loves and respects his mother and honored her wishes, because now this has turned into a labor of love for him as well.

Mamma Serato and Bruno Serato are world-class heroes and should forever be a real inspiration to all that desire to help feed as many needy children as possible.

Now in an ironic twist of fate, Mr. Bruno Serato could certainly use some support from us!

Mr. Serato's business is losing money big time. Why? Simply because he is now serving more Free gourmet meals than Paid gourmet meals.

Anyway you can help would be wonderful!

Don't Work For Or Resolve Your Debts With Empire Collection Authorities. Alonzo Cole, CEO, Will Not Pay Commissions Owed To You Or Work With Debtors To Resolve Their Debts!

I wonder how it feels for the CEO of a debt collection agency, Empire Collection Authorities, to be told that he needs to man up and pay his debt for wages that he owes to others?

Alonzo Cole, also known as "Ray Green" is CEO of Empire Collection Authorities in Aberdeen, WA. He has been sent notice and has been requested by Labor & Industries to pay me for wages. Alonzo Cole has no guilt that I should work for him for almost 44 hours and be paid only $30. He has done this to many others before me as well.

Uh, Uh, Uh. Labor & Industries state that if a person working on commission (NOT INDEPENDENT OR OUTSIDE SALES) makes less in commissions that what MINIMUM WAGE WOULD HAVE PAID, they have a right to at least minimum wage! Check it out yourself, I am not making the rules up.

With that being said, do you think Mr. Alonzo Cole after being requested by Labor & Industries to PAY ME for 44 hours of labor is whipping out his checkbook and writing a check to me??

Oh Hell No! Alonzo Cole, CEO of Empire Collection Authorities paid me the ridiculous amount of $30 and obviously is refusing Labor & Industries request that he pay me wages that are equal to minimum wage X my actual hours worked. He was informed by L&I two weeks ago that he is obligated BY LAW to pay wages HE OWES ME for almost 44 hours of labor!

If the CEO of Empire Collection Authorities won't pay fair wages to another AND OWE UP to a debt they themself have incurred, don't feel guilty when Alonzo Cole, aka Ray Green, lays a guilt trip on you if you are unfortunate enough to pick up the telephone when his office calls you.

Also most importantly, he does not want to work with you to resolve your debt. He wants at least 75% of the debt you owe, and a huge up front and monthly payments. Make no mistake, if Empire Collection Authorities calls you and you want to "work out" $35.00 a month payments with them, you can forget that!!

And another fact. There is no "legal department" for Empire Collection Authorities. It's a scam, a hoax, a misrepresentation to make you believe that an actual legal department is calling you.

It's just a 4th story office floor with several people that have been suckered in to work for commission only (that they will never receive) by Alonzo Cole, aka "Ray Green."

Research your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act !!

UPDATE: September 7, 2010

Well, well, well. I have been contacted by Labor & Industries here in the state of Washington and have been informed that they did receive a check from Empire Collection Authorities for the actual labor (hours worked X minimum wage) they owed to me by law. After I sign a release with Labor & Industries, receive the check by them from ECA and then determine if the check from Empire Collection Authorities/Alonzo Cole is good, I will update and let everyone know.

And in all fairness, I will remove this entire post off of my blog if all ends well. Does that sound fair to you Mr. Alonzo Cole?
