We have a new obesity drug called Qnexa, and I will be standing in line for it. You can read about it here I can understand why Kate Walsh < hot> is on google trends but why Kate Gosselin. Gosselins GO AWAY. I guess she did an interview with my favorite Dr. Drew Pinksy and told him she is lonely, " she cleans the house, puts the kids to bed and then sits". Maybe if she was not such a jerk to her husband she would not be so lonely. I don't know many men that would stand in line to live with that dictator. In other news, my hometown, CHI TOWN, 5-8 inches of snow, sheet and fun, these days I'm glad I'm sitting in my 80 degree Dallas, Texas weather.

What is kombucha tea?

Kombucha is an effervescent tea-based beverage that is often consumed for its anecdotal health benefits or medicinal purposes. Kombucha is available commercially and can be made at home by fermenting tea using a visible, solid mass of yeast and bacteria which forms the kombucha culture, often referred to as 酵母 : Source Wikipedia

Number one today is Elizabeth Smart. Whenever I think of her name, I think poor girl. What a horrific ordeal both she and her family went through dealing with that horrid kidnapping. I'm sure she is very thankful that she was found alive 9 months later and only eighteen miles from her home. That crazy cooky couple that kidnapped her are thankfully in jail. She also was able to make books and movie deals from her fiasco. Well GOOD News for Elizabeth Smart today. She got married! Associated Press at of Salt Lake City is reporting she got married in a Hawaii temple. I'm glad she was able to move on with her life. You can read the "most" searched article of the hour here

Number four search term is sleigh bells. This came in around 12am last night and I was scratching my head. Why are people searching about sleigh bells?? Well, they are actually a music group. They were on SNL last night which I have yet to watch. Huffington Post is reporting they made their network TV debut last night and played songs from new album. The duo's new album is Reign of Terror.

You can watch Sleight Bells debut from SNL right here on The Daily Trend.

Trends today took a dive for Kate Upron and she dropped to number 13 in being the most searched. So what are people thinking about tonight. The top search for the "heart attack grill". The peak for this search has roughly been 6 hours. The hottest news article of the hour is written by the Las Vegas Review Journal, Titled Heart Attack Grill lives up to it's name. You can read the article here. " The restaurant offers triple- and quadruple-bypass burgers to patrons -- free if the customer weighs more than 350 pounds. It has an emergency defibrillator case that contains a bottle of Jim Beam. Waitresses check customers' pulses with a stethoscope before taking their order, although increased heart rates can probably be traced back to revealing sexy nursing attire.
Fortunately for the unnamed victim, the Fremont Street diner's phone wasn't a little spinny toy that dialed Mickey Mouse or Goofy. Emergency personnel were summoned shortly after 8 p.m. and rushed the man to the hospital."

We have a heart attack grill here in Dallas, and funny enough I have picture of my parents in front of the restaurant. Let's just make sure we take our heart medications before we step into these places. Especially with a restaurant that promises an early death.

I always love when the Google search trends change. It's increasingly evident that we are no longer thinking of Valentines Day, which was never a search term. I thought that the search term as in what the day means and the history would be searched. Instead, how to make chocolate cover strawberries and the new centerfold, Kate Upton, which she is now coming in at number 2 in our searches today. Sports Illustrated sports issue is now available on newsstands. I wonder how many days she will stay in trends.

I also find interesting number 11. Where’s my refund? We are typing, “where’s my refund”. I thought I would help with that answer. You can check the status of your refund using the "Where's My Refund?" tool on the IRS website or with the IRS2Go Smartphone app. You can even watch the IRS talk about refunds in its probably-won't-go-vi ral tax tip video "When Will I Get My Refund?" It generally takes 10-14 days.

So, the top search term today is best in show! Related Searches, Westminster, dog show, Westminster dog show, AKC, Westminster kennel club dog show. The largest viewer area for this search is New York. The top searched article is coming from The Christian Science Monitor titled “ 2012 Westminster dog show: some viewers barking over ‘Best in show’ choice. Gathering from reading the article, although briefly, just so you don’t tip over your coffee to read the most searched article, let me break it to you “Malachy the Pekingese won Best in Show. But if you curious you can read the article here. I won't post a photo of the Pekingese, I don't want Kate Upton to lose her number #2 most searched google image search.

Why I like google search trends?

2012-02-12T20:35:00.000-08:00

First question I ask myself is how many people actually use the internet? The stats that I have found is rough but lets say roughly 2,267,233,742 internet users have been reported as of Dec 31st 2001. 347,394,870 of that being reported as being in North America. I then wonder how many total users use google as a search engine, opposed to say yahoo or bing? Google is my search engine of choice. It's simple, easy to use, can be used by voice, and can be accessed almost everywhere, that is internet is provided. " The main purpose of google is to hunt for text in web pages. The Alexa rating for google is number 1. Alexa internet ts data on browsing behavior which is transmitted to the website where it is stored and analyzed and is the basis for the company's Web traffic reporting. Alexa claims that 6 million people visit its website monthly. In June 2011, comScore puts Google's worldwide reach at 1 billion unique visitors per month

Google came up with with wonderful search engine that I fell in love with called google search trends. With search trends you can search for "Hot" Searches, you can see a snapshot of what’s on the public’s collective mind by viewing the fastest-rising searches for different points of time. You can see a list of today’s top 40 fastest-rising search queries in the U.S. You can also select a recent date in history to see what the top rising searches were and what the search activity looked like over the course of that day. Hot Searches are updated hourly.

I carefully laid out for you why I find google search trends so amazing. Google Search Trends "RANK" what we google users find so interesting. I know I use google search all the time, for example, what was the name of that British songstress that took home album of the year for "21"? Google gives me my answer, and my answer FAST = Adele,

I am fascinated by psychology and what people are thinking throughout the day, and this led me to want to explore a blog on my love for google trends and wanting to know what people are thinking and searching about.

As of Sunday Feb 12 2012 @ 10:53pm, roughly one billion google users are searching

What is the hottest news article on Sun Feb 12 2012 at 9pm?

2012-02-12T19:17:00.000-08:00

Reporting from USA Today Life, the hottest article trending tonight across the web is what is the cause of Whitney Houston's death. Currently, her death is under investigation. Her teenage daughter has been hospitalized twice for anxiety and stress in reaction to the loss of her mother. It will take several weeks for medical examiners to get back the toxicology reports on Whitney Houston. Coroner Ed Winter said Houston was found drown in her bathtub. It has been reported that there were several prescription pill bottles found by her bedside, which included high dosage of sedatives. Whitney will be very much missed. I predict she will not be the number one search item tomorrow, I would guess that the grammy's will be at number one on google search trends.
