Just dab a bit of toothpaste at the end of a cotton swab or a soft cloth. Gently rub it in to your screen’s scratches in a circular motion, being careful not to rub too hard and remove any surface coating. Then wipe the whole thing down with a soft, barely-damp cloth. You really need to find toothpaste, so if you’re a tooth gel family you’ll need to grab an extra tube at the store. Some quick research cam up with a lot of cans and can'ts; e.g. http://blogs.technet.com/b/jhoward/archive/2008/02/28/are-vhds-compatible-between-hyper-v-and-virtual-server-and-virtual-pc.aspx while Virtual PC Guy provided some more details: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2004/12/16/316643.aspx

However, a quick and easy approach if your image happens to be Windows Server 2008 R2 is to simple set the boot flag to automatically detect the HAL on bot via MSCONFIG:
http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/30960

Incredibly helpful and useful to know.

David McCandless: The beauty of data visualization | Video on TED.com

David McCandless: The beauty of data visualization | Video on TED.com

Laurie Santos - A monkey economy as irrational as ours (TED)

I can't help but find behavioural psychology to be both frightening and fascinating... He was such a
flirt with the aircrew and just kept smiling and giggling at the woman
in the row behind.
There were only a few wriggles butI'd no hope of watching a full film
though part of that was trying to get some work out of the way.
Arrived in Changi and again Theo was a rock star with all the customs
officials wanting to hold him. I've never seen him laugh and smile so
much - it was so, so good.
Naomi was stunned when we got through immigration and the bags were
on the carousel in front of us. Taxi just about got us safely to the
hotel (usual late night taxi driver working too hard and falling
asleep at the wheel).
Yesterday we walked from the hotel to Clifford Quay (I got us a little
bit lost). Stopped off at Raffles on the way. Had some lunch and then
back to the hotel. We crashed and then went to grab some street food
with Lana off Orchard Rd. Had such an excellent time and then passed
out (again).
Today was relaxing. Got off to Sim Lim but have to say, it's just not
the same. All the computer shops replaced with iPhone and camera
shops. Got jagged and very aware of it (but it was still way cheaper
than Uk/Aus). Back to the hotel, packed, and off to Raffles.
All the time though I can't get ofer how everyone just treats Theo
like a superstar. Women just want to hold him and while we were having
lunch the waitresses had to take their photo with him. It really is
something else. It's truly unbelievable.
But I love it. As if I wasn't a proud enough father. This is
positively off the charts!

Back from Asia

Well, it was a manic couple of weeks but a lot of fun at the same time. I managed to tweet a bit while I was away but there where some that didn't make it that I thought I'd include them here:

Love the efficiency of Singapore's Changi Airport. Absolute bliss in comparison with many, many others.

Head is melted. Little sleep & 2 days RM training. Back to hotel and then catch up with Lana.

Love the Arabic-influenced architecture of KL.

On train to KL airport. Bangkok here I come.

No way! Tesco Lotus?! Seriously, Tesco in Bangkok

According to Apichai, Tesco is quite prevalent in Bangkok. Would never have thought it.

Have developed Naomi's eye for expensive jewellery... will have to find another pressie

www.pancosmetic.com - whitening cream seems creepily wrong initially, but how different is it to tanning cream, I guess?

Taking kludges to a whole new level

http://thereifixedit.com/

Bizarre and funny...

A call to blog

Ok, so I've had the iPhone for over a year now and when I first got
it, I was able to blog quicker and more frequently than ever... But, I
was also more able to follow other blogs and tweets an my information
consumption went up and the production down.
This, I don't think I entirely like if I'm honest. On one hand, I do
like knowing what's going on in the tech world and with my friends
(facebook's got out of hand tho as I tend to get a lot of inane
nonsense from people I barely know but that's a different rant
altogether).
Anyway, as I like getting updates from friends via Twitter and their
blog posts, I too wish to let them know what's going on with me. So,
the challenge to myself, is simply this; to blog more, starting with
this!

Before MP3s, Tapes had Two Sides

I loved reading this article.
