But there’s something strong about Insticnt … that escapes Logic or any reasoning or anything that has to do with brain. Sometimes somethings just feel right ….. without explanation. Its almost as if we can see beyond the present circumstances, past through the curtains of thought & logic into what might be perceieved as the best thing to happen in distant future. Instinct has never failed me ……. to date.

Five Years

So its been five years since I came to USA and I must say what amazing five years these were. Started as a student with a part time job in the re-creation complex and ended up as an Engineer, but its not quite the beginning and the end that matters. Its all that mid way that does. Because no matter how you look at it – the most important thing is how have u grown as a person. My Dad asked me – have you changed in the last five years, I think he wanted to hear no. But I said yes, I have changed in the past five years – I learnt to be humble and respect every person for who they are, I’ve learnt the value of money, I’ve learnt to spend money and not regret it, done jet skiing, bungee jumping and sky diving and learnt how Life which we think of as eternal is just waiting for the next accident to happen, have traveled places only I had dreamt of – Vegas, New York, San Fransisco, Paris, Amsterdam and learnt no matter how people look or talk, they are the same. I’ve learnt to think – about Life, People and Destiny. I’ve learnt not to be objective and see the holistic picture, to read people and know who my friends are and who pretend to be. Gained some friends, lost some and some who were friends but are now just the people I know. On the whole, yes I have changed for better or worse, letting it be and moving on with who I am …… that was what happened in these Five years.

1. Hero getting stabbed or shot in the climax and hospitalized. We know he’ll survive.

2. Flashbacks in Black and White. We can discern between present and past. Plz dont insult our intelligence.

3. Triangular love stories. We know who the lead actors are and we know that they’ll get together in the end.

4. When something very unusual or unexpected happens, we know it was a dream. So don’t even bother.

5. If Hero has a Mother and a Sister, they exist only so that they can be captured in the climax to blackmail the Hero. Wonder why they leave the Dad and the Brother alone.

In my two line biography on Facebook, I wrote – ” Easily Obsessed, Easily bored”, and it struck how that one line totally explains about me. So here Iam, back to the blog I left – bored. And the best thing is, I can take it from where I left. Its october again, the sunray that tries to peep into my bedroom through the window is no more denied but welcomed for its warmth. The strange sounds which the winds make, the beautiful orange-purple clouds during sunset and the fog on the car window – all welcomed.

It’s been a year since I blogged, but the recession was for good. When ideas become stale and when everything seems too cliched and boring. Its time to stop abusing your interest. But its good to be back, like a blogger friend wrote – writing posts are like leaving trail of oneself, where one can trace back to a person who he were. And so am I here, starting the trail again not quite from where I left, but to remember that gap as a beautiful stop in the journey.

Does Gmail think we’re stupid

Last year on the Fool’s Day, it said we could change our timestamps on the e-mail to make it look like it was sent in the past. This could be useful for B’Day greetings and forgotten e-mails and would be allowed only five times an year. Ok, I almost believed it, but this year it comes up with an auto-pilot which on enabling composes and replies email on your behalf, it can also chat on your behalf. It also gives some examples. I can’t believe Google guys thought they can get away with it.

Common Google, grow up. We’re not those kids who could be fooled by saying there’s a Lion standing behind. Ok you fooled us once, but how can you ever think you can use the same trick again and again. Try something better next year.

PS: Now We’d be really fooled, if this feature was indeed true
