TOMS Black Women's Glitters

2013-06-26T18:31:00.000-07:00

I saw a hostess at a restaurant wearing these, and I mentally made a note of them in my photographic fashion memory and managed to find them online. It helps that they said "TOMS" on the back. :) In case you have not heard of TOMS shoes, it is a socially responsible company that donates one pair of shoes to a needy child (in one of 50 different countries) for every pair of shoes you buy.

Black and White from Plato's Closet

2013-06-25T17:37:00.000-07:00

These are my purchases yesterday from great trendy resale shop called Plato's Closet. http://www.platoscloset.com/

My first bargain: a cute pair of Chanel-looking off-white Patent Mary Jane's for $8.00.

My second bargain: Cute Round Toed, Patent-Look Black Flats with Bows and Quilting, also Chanel-esque, and also $8.00.

Rounding out my black and white summer on trend bargains is a rubber "Laugh" bracelet, $2.00. Gotta love Plato's Closet.

What do you think? Let me know!

The NEW Direction of this Blog

2013-04-30T16:14:00.001-07:00

I'll be honest, this blog used to be an extension of my shopping addiction. I was addicted to STUFF. I wanted more and more, and enough was never enough. After losing most of my possessions in the end of 2011, I found something better to worship, the ONE true God starting in January 2012. What a great way to start the new year by receiving my salvation in Jesus Christ! I began an exciting new relationship with God that I am still happy in to this day. Losing everything was the best thing that ever happened to me. I never would have willingly given up all my things. I began slowly changing from the inside out. My addiction to shopping and material possessions slowly died and its consuming grip on me was loosened and removed. The pendulum swung in the other direction and I went through a phase where I no longer cared for fashion very much. Eventually I came back to center and my interest in fashion began coming back, but it was different this time. My interest in fashion has now evolved into wearing things that are in line with my new values: modest, socially responsible and affordable. This blog is for all you ladies out there who want to look nice while representing God and bringing glory to your maker. We must treat our bodies with respect and thoughtful care like the temples they are. After being redeemed, we are now respectable daughters of God.

Vitamin E 28,000 I.U. Cream by Colonial Dames

2011-09-29T16:40:00.000-07:00

I want to try this. It gets excellent reviews for keeping people looking years younger at half the price of other anti aging creams. Right now I use pure vitamin E caplets and they work wonders for my skin. My skin is oily and I tend to get some adult acne as well. My acne has cleared up and my skin looks great. I look forward to trying this product and will report back afterwards.

Wow...Forever 21 is coming out with some really cute new stuff. I'm impressed. Just like any inexpensive disposable clothing line, sometimes their things are way too out there or plain unwearable, but for spring they are right on trend.
