AUGUST 30, 2010 – So, I didn’t forget that they’re having a 50% sale at Value Village today, so after getting home from work, I asked my sister to accompany me to the store.

Anyway the weather sucked today and it didn’t help that it’s been crazy at work.

There wasn’t anything in there — the mint Olympus mju I that was there before was already sold. The Canon waterproof camera’s sold too (boo!). Majority that’s in there are some odds and ends AF. Nothing interesting except the toy camera that I found! A Crayola one!

Not sure what’s the aperture and shutter speed of this little toy; I might have to search it in a bit.

In addition to the camera I also got a nice bag for half the price. I believe it’s still new though because it was covered in plastic.

I got my 5-roll Agfa Precisia CT on the mail last Saturday! Yay!

AUGUST 29, 2010 – The last Sunday of the month was spent sleeping and catching up with my books. I’m finally done with Belle de Jour’s Guide to Men. Not a heavy reading; I guess you can tuck it under the “chick lit” category but I find it really insightful than ditzy (plus her smart retorts are just really funny).

Which makes me realize btw that I really lack sleep. This book’s really think but I ended up sleeping in between (no, it’s not boring). Must be because I drank too much the night before.

AUGUST 28, 2010 – Let’s drink on a Saturday Night!

I haven’t seen Cheree in a while so I was happy that she dropped by to my place to hang out and of course, drink! Sybil joined us later and so was Jona, but she had to leave early as she just got back from a family trip from Hecla.

We had chicken, chicken skin, drinks (I discovered Caramilk Mudslide! Heaven!), and DVDs. Really nice.

AUGUST 27, 2010 – A nice homemade dinner shared with people I work with.

AUGUST 26, 2010 – Very impromptu night-out with Sybil and Phoebi.

Quick trip to Perkin’s led to another catching-up session with my university friends. I just realized that these “sessions” seem to be increasing in importance especially that we are all working full-time now. We’ve been focusing more on our careers, expenses, short/long-term plans, and our personal lives with our significant others.

I think these changes are not inevitable, rather a choice that we made. I’m enjoying my new lifestyle, despite of being very busy. It makes me realize how lucky I am that I have these blessings right in front of my plate. At the same time I’m also grateful that I know I have friends to rely on and who can relate to me as I go along and embrace these changes.

The food’s good, as usual.

AUGUST 24, 2010 – The Fuuvi Biscuit Camera’s debut. Quality is crappy, but it is still cute. Whatever. Still discreet!

AUGUST 23, 2010 – Okay, so I was seriously scared when I got my online receipt and found out that for some reason it was addressed with the wrong province! But the people at Four Corner Store have been really helpful (thanks!). So imagine my surprise when it came in, IMO, on time!

It seriously looks like the model P444417S keychain cameras that are floating around XS Cargo (we have one at home but I can’t find the CD driver). But cuter. I found out that a similar style in transparent is being sold at Future Shop for $14.00. Meh. Anyway. It’s cute and unassuming. Manual’s written in Japanese so I didn’t bother (even if it means I have to practice whatever remains of my meager skills lol).

Must try.
