Trying Something New

2019-06-22T12:37:00.000-04:00

Hey there . .

I wanted to let you know where I am and what's up right now ..

I'm not sure why but I've had an exceedingly huge drop-off in blog traffic to all my blogs on blogger recently.

So . .

I am copying all the posts to my Patreon blog ..

All that has been free (no cost) here will continue to be free there.

I've been updating that site and adding a lot of content . .

There is also, for those who want to pay $1.00+/month, the added benefit of seeing random photos of what my day looks like!! You'll see random neighborhoods in in/around Toledo, Ohio as well as inside my apartment!! These photos are only available to patrons and expire after 24 hours. ..

Please, stop by www.patreon.com/karenjoyce . .

Look through all the free posts . .

Then check out the titles on the pay-per-view posts... there may be posts of interest to you . .

See you on Patreon!!

P.S.

I'd love to hear your comments over there on my posts and how the site looks/functions!!

Mansfield Reformatory

2019-06-18T12:04:00.000-04:00

Yes, I took Matt and three (3) of his friends to Mansfield, OH for a self-guided tour of the reformatory and we had a blast!! The drive each way was 'interesting' and wandering through the old reformatory was so kool. I will be posting a photo daily either on this blog or at www.patreon.com/karenjoyce (back and forth between). Some photos will available to the public and some will only be for select tiers of patrons. Please keep an eye between both blogs so you don't miss out . . I have so many photos to post!!

A Sense of Community

2019-06-17T11:54:00.000-04:00

Sometimes a small fire can bring people closer . . huddling close, whether to toast marshmallows or chase off mosquitoes with the smoke, a fire is fun . . it brings a sense of adventure . . an opportunity to tell tall tales and ghost stories . .

Who Did It?

2019-06-16T21:51:00.000-04:00

Starting over . . a new beginning . . that's where I am again . . like a bizarre broken record . . So much is changing again . . things I counted on weren't as purported .. people disappointed .. and sometimes ya just need a complete change of scenery! I am so tired of lies and manipulation . . wanting peace and quiet . . solitude deep in the woods sometimes sounds so so good I'd happily wander off . . but then there is this sweet boy/man/critter who calls me Mom . . yeah, he keeps me grounded in a totally kool Autism way that makes wading through the neverending crap seem plausible . . so, what am I talking about? You? Them? If ya feel guilty change your behavior .. beyond that . . too much up in the air . . too many odd unnecessary comments . . some things here are quite stable and others are so fluid water is jealous!!

Spiral Hope Quilt is Finished!!

2019-06-16T14:00:00.000-04:00

I can't believe I finally finished this quilt! I started it several years ago for someone special to me and I had a whole plan for it's creation. Something happened, as things just seem to, so I shelved it. Last year I took it back out with a new plan. Now countless hours, tears and prayers later, it is finished.

#whatif Prompts are Moving!!

2019-06-16T11:35:00.000-04:00

Hey, there! So glad you stopped by!!
I wanted to give you a quick update.
Although I've loved posting my #whatif prompts, I am finding I have no one utilizing these from this blog. As I'm writing these to inspire other writers, I have been pondering what to do . .
Drop #whatif?
Somehow revamp it?
Some kind of incentives?
Nothing seemed to sound right .. then I saw a post about a woman who has her prompts on a paid tier on Patreon!! And she's doing well there!!!
Sweet . . a possibility . .
But, first I need to switch to posting my #whatif prompts to Patreon .. I started that today . . You can view today's prompt free at www.patreon.com/karenjoyce
These prompts will remain free in Patreon until I have more of a following/linkups on the prompts as well as more of a paid following . .
Also, I am considering some sort of themed prompts down the line . . Maybe a monthly prompt challenges!!
Please, stop by and linkup!

2019-05-31T16:22:00.001-04:00

Hey there .. just wanted to let all my friends who follow me on this blog know of a glitch and a change . .

Blogger is not accepting my posts via email (mailbox full) so I have posted a lot to my blog on Patreon. Some of these posts are for paid tiers but will be released to the public for free in a few days. The more interesting will remain as paid/subscription only.

Please stop by www.patreon.com/karenjoyce periodically to see what's posted there and but not here.

I don't post everything that's free on both sites.

Stop by so you don't miss out!!
