My weekend's over and I felt so unproductive and uninspired. I spent most hours sleeping and eating. I wasn't even on my laptop for most hours which was so not me. I usually spend my free time from school with my laptop for both leisure and work. It's just minutes ago when I was reminded of Margot Tenenbaum for no specific reason. I felt the urge to look up her photos and to blog. I really adore Gwyneth Paltrow's role as Margot Tenenbaum! Her secretive and playwright character in the film really gets me and is one of my favorite movie characters. I can;t miss her own signature look: big fur coat, loafers, lots of eyeliner and striped Lacoste shirts. Hmmm, still not a fan of Lacoste polo shirts but looking at Margot it looks nice. She looks perfection! After this blog post, I'll be watching the movie, The Royal Tenenbaums again.

Say hello to my bestfriend Redj and to my new found friend Patrik! Redj was there to prompt Patrik who is one of the main actors for the play entitled Let's Go Tarugo. For my outfit, I was wearing my mom's leopard top (now mine) paired with my denim shorts and rubber shoes. I originally planned to wear my leopard print boots but I did not feel super okay with the matching outfit. Good that I found this rubber shoes! First time for me to wear it but has been in my closet for ages already. That's what I get with having a not so organized closet.

My outfit for that day was schoolgirl inspired. Me and Rochelle (girl up), had our Accounting exam the same day and I wanted to achieve a serious and somehow polished appearance. Instead of wearing a skirt, I wore a schoolboy shorts instead. I don't know if this shorts was thrifted or what. I can't remember because it has been with me since ages ago. After my three hour exam, I felt so drained of energy but it did not stop me from having my my outfit shots with my friends.

Was wearing my mom's cute bright top at Page One's warehouse sale at Kaki Bukit View, Singapore. We went there quite early, around 10am but ended up going home with nothing. When we arrived, the line was so long (see photos up). I can't even count the number of people in line. I heard most were there since 7am. We tried to wait for almost an hour but it was a super sunny day, we were sweating and so thirsty. We decided to go home with no purchases. I was upset because I was so excited to buy many books and magazines but it did not last for a long time. My brother found a spot for my outfit shot beside a vintage baby blue scooter! My heart jumped when I saw it and I forgot how upset I was.

HYPE on LOOKBOOK

Another sunny day in school with my friend Mikki who takes most of my photos in school. I forced him to have an outfit shot too because I thought that the color of our tops are close to each other which will look good for this blogpost. I also loveeeee the color of his shoes. My boots here are thrifted which I got for less than 2 dollars only!!! That's the good thing with thrift shopping, getting one of a kind pieces with really good prices. It's been a long time since my last trip to the thrift stores because I don't have time anymore and I always catch colds after. I hope I can visit again soon and hopefully will be able to find another great item.

Boat Quay

Afternoon stroll with Papa at Boat Quay which is just a 5 to 8 minute walk from my brother's office. Especially in the afternoon, many people hangout at Boat Quay for a river front dine or drink and/or just to sit back, relax and enjoy the nice view. I can't miss having an outfit shot with such a nice place plus I love my classic ensemble here. The top here is supposed to be a dress but I burned the lower part when I was ironing it. It's a bit consoling that I was able to use it as a top paired with my cotton and sheer pants. I remember bringing many wide leg cotton pants on that trip. Cotton is just too comfy!

This is my sequel on one my all time favorite movies, Breakfast at Tiffany's and called it Tiffany's leftover. :) When I was choosing the outfit for this shoot, I wanted an Edie Sedgwick look using turtle neck and tights. It was just after fixing the set up for the shoot that we changed our inspiration from Edie Sedgwick to Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Hello guys! Happy New Year! A week late for this post because I just went back few days ago from my two week vacation at Singapore. I came back with loads of school and paperworks waiting for me.Typically, I don’t do the whole New Years Resolution deal but this 2012, I feel like doing my list. I’m making a simple list and based on my experiences in 2011. I hope to look through this list as the year progresses as to find motivation and remind me of my priorities. Here goes my list:

1. STOP WASTING TIME. One of more important lessons of last year. I wasted so much time for many things and many people.

2. HAVE LOGICAL ARGUMENTS.

3. BE MORE PRODUCTIVE.

4. EXERCISE. I may be lucky enough to have a slim built but it does not exempt me from doing exercises. Everyone could benefit from a toned physique achieved through proper exercise.

5. KEEP ON LEARNING AND STUDY HARDER. This is essential for everyone and way better than staying at home and doing nothing.

6. SEE THE WORLD OUTSIDE MY ROOM MORE. Last year, for some reason, I was in my room more often and didn’t hang out or party as much as I used to.

7. LEARN ANOTHER LANGUAGE. I am always fascinated with other languages. I tried to learn Spanish, French and Italian. I may have learned the basics but those are not enough. Learning a new language is tough and needs to be taken with much dedication. I was also torn between studying French or Italian. Learning language should be learned one at a time that's why I made my decision last December and will take French instead as soon as possible.

8. MORE TRIPS ABROAD. I always travel around the Philippines during the past years and I will not get sick of it. But this year, I want to take it to the next level. I spent a two week holiday recently at Singapore and made me realize that I have to push my travel aspirations outside the country. I want to explore South East Asian countries this 2012.

9. SAVE UP. I had a good saving strategy last year but money cycle is very fast especially in my case that I want to travel more. And not to mention my love for shopping. I am proud to say that I pay for my vices and I do not depend on my parents for these things. I guess this is very important and I am thankful for the right training my parents gave me when it comes to being independent for many aspects like handling accounts.

10. INVEST INTO A NEW BUSINESS. I will push this thorough after I launch my online shop OVERDOSE. I’ve been mentioning it months ago not realizing the time I should invest in having one. I thought it’s just easy like my ongoing business in fashion retailing and financing.

11. EXPAND OVERDOSE. I’ve been into this business since August 2011 but the items are not posted so the only ones who have access are my close friends and other people from my university.

12. BE A MORNING PERSON. Why? I am always late in class which is not doing me any good. I have experienced waking up early and the feeling is way different than waking up late. I become less sluggish and I can do a lot more things.

13. PLAN. For a forgetful person like me, everything must be planned. I skipped using planner last year which did not do me any good. I kept on missing dates and lost my track.

14. DECLUTTER. This goes to many things for me. I usually do this with material things but I keep on purchasing also and sometimes without thinking it over. I always end up having excess items which aren’t really important.

15. SPEND MORE TIME WITH MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
16. BE A BETTER version OF MY 2011 SELF.

Christmas Hangover

When I saw that romper, I knew I had to wear it for Christmas. My 2011 Christmas is somehow different from my previous one because this year, I had an outfit in mind. The last time I prepared for a Christmas outfit was ages ago when I was still so crazy about Santa Claus. Yeah, I was one of them. Anything from head to toe, I remember demanding new items from my mom. I already went pass that stage since my teenage years that I looked forward more into the New Year's countdown. It's just this year 2011 that I felt the excitement of celebrating Christmas again.

Waterfall Trek

This is a super late post for my trip at the Hidden Paradise last July. 2011 is about to end and I'm just posting this. gosh. I always post my photos too late for some reasons. But I know now that I have to put that in my new year's resolution list. BLOG SOONER AND NOT LATER. This is my second time to Hidden Paradise. The first time was with Tamim then we brought friends for the second time. It is one of my guy's favorite destination here in Philippines. I don't think we will have enough of that place. Experience in Hidden paradise is unforgettable. When you are there, it's like you are really in a paradise with the rocky landscapes, rivers and the waterfalls. It's a breathtaking and a quiet place. I advice for those who plan to visit Puerto Galera, it's way better to see places like the Hidden Paradise other than the famous White Beach. Getting to the Hidden Paradise might be tiring but again the experience is remarkable. From the White beach is more than an hour drive to the town of San Teodoro then we continued by a carabao cart. Some continue by foot actually but for a rainy weather it's much safer to ride in a carabao cart which also crossed four rivers. It's a long way to get there but it's worth it! I really miss our experience and I don't mind going back there again.

Tonight is my break from my never ending papers, reviews, reports and other errands for school and business. I need a quiet Friday night and my room is the best and the most convenient place. For sure tonight I'll be sleeping late again but not because of deadlines or reviews for reports. I am currently feeding myself with good photographs and a bit of blog hopping. I really enjoy looking at good photographs which are mostly inspiring me for many things like the most obvious one, fashion. Just like those photos of Clémence Poésy up taken by Mason Poole. Styling and photography are both so good. I even checked out Mason Poole's website and tumblr. Bookmarked the sites right ahead!

Wearing my favorite EL LUCHADOR inspired shirt. El luchador is a Mexican wrestling culture. I like wearing oversized shirts because its too comfy! For my college campus, easy going style is perfect. Shorts here are DIY, love its grayish color. If I'm not mistaken, this is the shorts that I wear often. Its length is not too short which is great for school. I really enjoy wearing short shorts especially here in UPLB because of the humid weather. Too bad that some older gals at the university scolded me a bit. Sucks for me. :p

Went out clubbing on a school day for my mom's birthday. She and my aunt planned to party with us youngsters but they decided to head to a different location. I can't remember the last time I went out clubbing. It's really a fun night although as expected, I had very few hours to sleep before my classes.

Oh I missed blogging! And now I am only posting two photos taken from my shoot with my upcoming retail shop! I remember that I only had 3-4 hours of sleep that day and I had to grab the most comfortable outfit in like 5 minutes for me not to be late in my class. I am doing both school and business. Lately, school had been so crazy but I can't just leave my business behind so I am doing both. The thing is, I think I got addicted with working and doing things all the time. When I arrive home so tired, instead of just relaxing or sleeping, I still do things like cleaning my room (I do this all the time but it's always kinda messy) or do some reading. This is totally not me months ago when I really enjoy doing nothing and killing time. I realized that I wasted so much time before. Now, even I get home so tired and sleepless the next day, I feel happy. It's the feeling of fulfillment for doing so many things and being so productive.
