Introducing . . . Portrait Playdate Sessions!!!

noreply@blogger.com (Connie) — Thu, 10 Jan 2008 02:57:00 +0000

Have you heard the news?? I'm launching something fresh and new for the winter -- Portrait Playdate Sessions. Here are the details:

Grab a few friends with children and come on over to my place! I’ll set up the space for the actual photo shoot and then leave plenty of room around the perimeter for the kids to play. The kitchen area will be available for juice and a light, kid-friendly snack – or just to break away from the action. The children will be brought into the photography space one at a time (or in sibling groups when desired). I’ll snap away for about an hour, getting as many photographs of the children as the time allows. Then within 14 days I’ll upload your group’s images to an online gallery for viewing and ordering right from the comfort of your own home! Once you place your order, the images are shipped directly to you so you don’t have to make a second trip to visit me.

The Playdate Portrait Session Fee is only $30 and can be easily divided among a few friends.
** BONUS: The Session Fee will be FREE for the first two Playdate Portrait Sessions booked. So call today to schedule your Session!! 630-653-7742
Standard Print Pricing applies to image purchases and can be viewed in the right-hand sidebar of my website.
**BONUS: For the first 30 days that your online images are available for viewing, you receive a free duplicate of each ordered print for free!
The Playdate Portrait Session is available for groups of 4 to 10 children (with a minimum of 2 separate households represented – in other words, a single family with 4 children does not qualify for the Playdate Portrait special). Please call or email with any special requests or questions, I’m always willing to entertain new ideas.

As the Playdate Portrait Session only allows a small amount of time dedicated to each child, I would highly recommend an individual session for a family desiring several poses and options to choose from. You can view my website or contact me ctameling@comcast.net for additional information.

Yep, that's right . . . Skittles! She worked for Skittles. Her mom carried a secret stash of the colored candies in her bag. Too funny.

This little girl was a ball of energy and fun. I loved every second with her and thoroughly enjoyed her charming and whimsical personality -- curious and excited to check out everything. What a happy girl. Thanks, A, for being so much fun.

Here are just a few of my favorites from the session . . .

And this one is a personal, all-time favorite . . . check out her cute, little lips.
How about this . . . A's mom even let her splash in the puddles while wearing her pretty dress. It was so worth it for this fun shot!
Wouldn't this one make a great wall portrait? I love the softness to her expression and the great colors of the natural fall background.
A few days later I had the privilege of doing some follow-up shots with A on the swings in my backyard. She was like a kid in a candy shop . . . a Skittles shop :) .I love the funky angle of this one, but mostly I love the silhouette of mom in the background looking on with a smile.I have so many more sessions and images I am dying to share here, but alas I must get back to some editing. I'll try to post more again soon. Until then . . .

Let's face it, we don't have sunny and 70 degrees every day. But no worries!! I love photographing on overcast days. So for those of you that are waiting for the perfect day to get outside for a family photograph, don't limit yourself to bright sunshine. Check out these images from a recent cloudy day session . . . the warm, fall colors stand out BIG TIME.

I was able to romp around my backyard and then the lake with these two cuties without the typical concern for sun washout and deep eye pocket shadows that are typical on sunny days. Aren't these girls just GORGEOUS??!! These girls are so much fun . . . truly beautiful inside and out. The gallery I put together for this family was packed with tons of images that I love . . . I couldn't even decide which ones to post here, so I just randomly picked some :) . Enjoy!

Ahhhh, this little man has personality oozing from his pores :) . And the "plus" is that he is photogenic beyond words. A true pleasure to capture images of this group. Thanks B, T and D for a fun afternoon. My kids want to know when D is coming back for a visit.

I have teamed up with Hillary from Twinkle Tots, a children's boutique in downtown Wheaton, for some cross-marketing opportunities. If you get a chance to check out her store, you surely will not be disappointed. I had the honor of photographing some delightful little munchkins wearing clothing from the boutique. You can check out Twinkle Tots online here: http://www.twinkletotsboutique.com/

Here are several fun images from that shoot . . .

If you have spent any time on my photography website, you will surely recognize these cuties. This time I had the privilege of capturing three generations of girls from the family. What an honor. Stunning, all natural, beauty in this group . . .

So I have been wanting to photograph a teen for some time . . . I have had an artistic vision in my head about the location and lighting for months - literally. And about 2 weeks ago I was granted the opportunity to photograph this handsome guy. I had a blast hangin' with him one morning as we explored a few spots that I had been dying to photograph. I could not have asked for a better subject. Thanks, B, for helping to fulfull my vision. Here are a few of my personal faves from the session . . .

I have got to be one of the most blessed people around . . . I get to photograph families like this for a living. Check out these sweet kisses for mom -- everyone say "awe" in unison.

And you cannot beat the lighting we experienced during this special family "moment". It was almost as if the love they feel for one another made them glow.

And then there was this gem of a moment. Honestly, there were so many great family images that I kind of just randomly picked one to share here. I, literally, could have shared 5 others without any hesitation.
You'd swear she was a supermodel posing with the wind machine blowing through her blonde wisps, but instead it is simply a 19 month old being herself. Cute as ever.
I'm off to bed. I have a few other sessions that I am editing and will upload "sneak peeks" again next week. Until then . . .

I can't get enough of these images . . . she is just the sweetest little bundle of energy around! The sun was blazing full-on while I was photographing, but she didn't mind a bit. She loved exploring the backyard. Check out her little teeth :) . Thanks for sharing her with me, C & B.

This little one stayed alert the ENTIRE photo session . . . really amazing. It is so rare to catch a newborn wide awake and this allowed for some fabulous images with eyes wide open. I think mom was hoping for some sleepy baby pictures, too, but how could she resist these? Pure delight.

This next one is a bit unconventional, but I loved the baby's outstretched fingers and the interaction between mom and baby with the bottle. Sometimes an unexpected image will grab me, and this is simply one of those images.

I love bringing loved ones together in a natural, outdoor setting for a photo shoot. For this session, we had a fabulous morning - sunny and about 60 degrees. Ahhhhh . . . I adore fall photo shoots. And come on, is this little guy not the cutest you have ever seen??
