Notes: "This is actually a picture from a year ago that I took because it was legitimately one of the worst things I had ever been served. I'm not sure what it was supposed to be, but it ended up as a ball of rice packed so absurdly tight that no grains were discernible and the sauce (which was awful and sweet) couldn't get through. The main entree also had mushrooms and some sort of chicken product on it. It was served with celery and carrots with low-fat ranch dressing and apple juice from concentrate."

Japan School Lunch - Mabo Tofu

Country: Japan

The material that Molly filmed is particularly appealing and important because it enables her to speak for herself about why school meals are important to her and her friends. The UN World Food Program set up a YouTube channel for Molly.

And she has recently been featured on CNN.

Also the above photo was taken by Rein Skullerud, who visited her and produced a kind of “Day in the Life” photo gallery. You can see the photo gallery here.

Please check out her story and let me know what you think.

USA School Lunch - Spaghetti and Garlic Bread

Country: USA
