Super Easy Chicken Casserole

2011-10-19T10:30:00.001-04:00

Good Morning Pantry Followers!

Its been a week since I have been on here! My Husband and I have been quite busy.. but hopefully things have died down now =)

So I made this a few days again and REALLY liked it!

Ingredients:

3 Cups of Cooked Eggs Noodles

2 Cups of Cooked chicken, cut into small chucks

4 Slices of bread (toasted)

1/2 Cup of milk

2 Tablespoons of Butter

2 Tablespoons of Flour

Salt & Pepper to taste

Oregano, Parsley & any other spices you like

Heat oven to 350 Degrees

Begin by heating up milk & butter. Once the butter melts gradually add the flour while mixing. Continue to simmer until it thickens up, make sure you stir quite often. Add some Salt & pepper.

Grease a large baking dish. Add cooked noodles and then lay the chicken chucks on top of the noodles. Then pour the milk/flour mixture over the noodles and chicken. Mix so that eventhing is evenly coated.

Cut toast into small pieces. Lay them on top on the noodles/chicken. Then sprinkle with the spices/Salt & Pepper.( I even melted some more butter and drizzled over the casserole for an extra buttery taste).

Bake in the oven for about 25 mins.

Enjoy!!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2011-10-03T21:19:00.001-04:00

Ok, So this may be the most basic.. but most popular cookie recipe! Chocolate Chip Cookies! This time I actually had everything!

I know chocolate chip cookies are my one of my favorites! Happy Baking!

See! I didnt use a mixer! I was going to but didnt want to get it out. It did however take some elbow grease =)

Yummy! Almost There!

Finished! You will Love them!

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup firmly pack brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup butter of margarine
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 package (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375.

Mix everything together (except chocolate chips)in a large bowl.( yes.. it can be done with a large spoon and your hand =P) Then once everything is mixed well, add in the chocolate chips. Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 - 10 mins.

Hot "Snow" Cream

2011-10-01T08:00:00.000-04:00

I love this recipe mainly because it reminds me of my family and winter time. As a kid I remember that I couldnt wait til it snowed! Not only did we get to play in it... but we got to EAT it!

We would leave bowls outside as it snowed. Once it was full we brought the bowls inside the house to make SNOW CREAM! Even though we dont have the snow right now, I can still get that same taste just by using 3 ingredients!

Please try this and let me know what you think! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 Cups Milk
1 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

Bring all the ingredients to a simmer in a medium pot. (You can always add more or less sugar/ vanilla, it just depends on how you like it). Simmer for just a few mins, do not boil, you dont want all of the vanilla flavor to boil out. If you like a more frothy drink you can always stick this in a blend for just a min, or add whip cream if you think. Then serve!

No Yeast Bread

2011-09-30T16:03:00.002-04:00

Oh my! This bread has gotten me so excited! I didnt have yeast so this was PERFECT! I used milk in this recipe instead of the water, but you can use either or!

This is a harder bread. Would be ideal for souds and Salads. I want to try this as a soup bowl...

Hope you like this as much as I did! Such a simple recipe! You should have everything for this!

Ingredients:

4 cups flour
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tbsp baking soda
1½ cups Milk (or water)
2 tsp vinegar (cider or white)

Preheat oven to 400.

Combine dry ingredients and mix. Combine water and vinegar. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix. Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead for two or three minutes (no need to overdo it). Shape into a flat round ball (about 1½ to 2 inches high), then place on pan. With a sharp knife cut an 'X' into the top of the loaf.

Bake 40 minutes. Remove, and while hot, glaze with 1 tbsp melted or softened butter.

Easy Pear Cobbler

2011-09-29T08:00:00.000-04:00

I have made this recipe over and over and Its been a favorite! I added more flour than the original recipe called for and I also dusted it with sugar & cinnamon once I took it out of the oven (I did this after I took the picture =P) I have also tried adding a Teaspoon of cinnamon in the mixture as well. Also I used Margarine instead of butter. Have fun with this! I know it going to be a family fav!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
2 cups canned or fresh fruits, with juice

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Pour melted butter into a 9-inch square baking dish. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt. Stir in milk and almond extract, if using; mix only until combined.

Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Ladle fruit with juice over the top of the batter.

Bake in preheated oven for 25-35 minutes, or until batter rises to the top. Sprinkle cinnamon & sugar on top if so desired. Its also good with vanilla Ice cream on top!
