My headphones been buzzin' to Wale's single " Pretty Girls" featuring Gucci Mane and Weensey off his 2009 album Attention Deficit. The song ended up peaking at 56 on the Billboard R&B and Hip Hop singles, but is one of the Wale songs I enjoy. Gucci Mane doesn't appear in the below music video for the song because at the time he was serving a one year prison sentence, but even though he wasn't there they still represented for him in the video. There are a few appearances by Ray Rice, Curren$y, DJ Khaled and actor Tristan Wilds in the video as well so check out the video below and get your headphones buzzin' and check out " Pretty Girls".

It's been a few days, but I'm going to jump back into rotation. My headphones been buzzin' to Kanye West and Jay Z's "N**gas In Paris" also referred to as the radio version "In Paris" off their collaboration album Watch The Throne. The single was released in September 2011, but has since peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 making it Kanye's 14th top ten single and and making Jay the rapper with the most top ten singles at 18. This song is a definite headphone buzzer and one of the hottest of 2011. It still is getting some decent radio play around my parts even though another single has been released since the release of this one, but enough talking and more listening. Today my headphones been buzzin' off another David Guetta song. "Without You" featuring Usher. It's the third single off Guetta's fifth album Nothing But The Beat. The song has received chart success reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Being backed by Usher's vocals Guetta said this song maybe one of his biggest. The beat will make you sure to tap your feet when you play the music video below which was filmed on a beach in Portugal. Jeannie Ortega. I haven't really heard much of well actually none of her music since her 2006 hit single "Crowded" featuring fellow Brooklyn native Papoose off her first album No Place Like BKLYN. The album managed to make it number one on the Billboards Top Heatseekers chart and she toured with Rihanna shortly after as her opening act, but the now 25 year old singer hasn't been keeping low key and not staying busy she is doin her thing working on her sophomore album titled Perfect Love which is set for release this year don't worry she will be hitting radio waves again soon so all her past and maybe soon to be new listeners get your three wishes ready lol okay I had to play off the Jeannie name at least one time in this. Last night if any of you saw Dick Clark's 2012 Rockin' Eve then you saw some solid performances to end the year of 2011 with from the likes of Drake, Gym Class Heroes, LMFAO, Niki Manaj, Lady Gaga....(breathe) you get my point. For those who don't know about Rockin' New Years Eve it was started in 1972 which was produced and hosted by none other than....Dick Clark. The show is live in the Eastern Time zone, but is delayed for other time zones to watch as well for the famous drop of the Times Square Ball in New York City's Time Square. The show usually features performances from different music artist as well. Headphones Buzzin' To A Look At 2011 Standouts

Today is the last day of 2011 and 12 midnight it will officially be 2012 which means a new year of music and standout artists. There are many artist that did their thing this year on the charts and had plenty of radio play so it would be hard for me to narrow it down to one, but I will list eleven of the top artists in my opinion that kept headphones as well as the charts buzzin' even artists I don't particularly care for, but they always had something playing on the radio and seemed to be really successful this year. So here is my unbiased list. Those artists were Wiz Khalifa, Drake, LMFAO, Jay Z & Kanye West(counting as one because they did a collaboration album), Rihanna, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Adele, Lil Wayne, and David Guetta. Of course there are others I didn't mention, but whether you agree or not these people consistently received radio play. What artists stood out to you this year? Who do you think will standout next year? And who should I as well as others keep there eye on as the next breakout? Have a happy new year!

I think some people forget how clever some rappers can be beyond the flash sometimes especially when it comes to freestyles which requires a verbal finesse that allows you to stream together a mixture of words and below is a freestyle Kanye West did a few years ago that I thought was interesting. Love him or hate him he has talent and not everybody can do it like the below straight from the head. I was in one of my throw back moods today and have had my Headphones buzzin’ to hip hop band the Roots “Clock With No Hands”. This song is one of my favorite songs from The Roots. It is from their seventh studio album Game Theory which released August 2006. The album debuted at number nine on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart when it came out and to date has sold over 200,000 copies in the U.S. Although “Clock With No Hands” wasn’t a hit single that was produced from the album it remains one of my favorites from the Roots and I think is just something good and mellow to vibe to. Janet has been popular in the music game since 1973 and has influenced a list of artist that credits her as some inspiration to their music and style such as Lady Gaga, Beyounce Knowles, Brandy, and Maya. The list goes on and on, but this blog can't because that would mean you aren't checking out Janet do her thing in the video below showing why she really is the Queen of Pop. Let me start off this post saying I've never seen someone go so hard on a rap while making some pancakes. I tried this once with Egos and burnt the Egos -_- so I'm going to stick with blogging. The below video is of a Kansas City, Missouri rapper who goes by the name Mac Lethal rapping over Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" while making some pancakes in his kitchen and this guy is fast. He released this video the beginning of the month and within days got millions of views which has led him to a few interviews. He raps so fast you have no choice for your headphones to be buzzed. Are you able to rap while you make some random food item? Have you ever rapped while making some random food? Can you do it as fast as him? My headphones been buzzin' to Kid Cudi's " Mr. Rager" off the album Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. I personally am a Kid Cudi fan and just like any other artist he won't appeal to all because of his unique style, but music has a different meaning for everyone and to me is the sound that pictures can't make and I see his picture and hear his art and one of the songs I enjoy from him is " Mr. Rager". When I first heard the song I didn't care for it, but it has grown to be one of my top favorite songs of his among others. Everything about Kid Cudi's music is different from the depressed, mellow, happy, energetic beats to the lyrics and it deserves a listen. I felt like rewinding the hands of time today to what I felt like having my headphones buzzin' to. Specifically 1991 " My Minds Playing Tricks On Me" off the album We Can't Be Stopped by the Geto Boys. This is a classic for hip hop. Over the past years it was selected as one of many songs you must hear and download in the musical reference book, 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die: And 10,001 You Must Download. It has been referenced to as one of the best hip hop songs of the 90's and I don't argue that at all. It's a song that describes different mental states like hallucination, delusion and paranoia. Okay so today's song that's been making my headphones buzz is a song that I've heard on the radio too many times now. I've heard it to the point I'm tired of it, but it has been on loop in my head for some reason today and I just can't shake the song "Sexy and I Know It" by LMFAO on their CD Sorry For Party Rocking. As tired as I am of hearing the song on the radio I have to admit the song sticks in your head. I've caught myself a few times "something something in the house toniiight! He got some mainstream attention for his song "Chocolate Rain" he posted on YouTube in 2007 that received millions and millions of views. Since then his star has continued to grow. Not too long after he was discovered he was on shows like Maury, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Tosh.O performing the song months after being discovered. Since then Zonday has become parody to thousand of videos on YouTube and continues to expand his fan base. Below I have a double feature. I recently started listening to a few Wale (Wah-lay) songs and he's got some songs that I really like, but the one in particular that's been sticking to me today is "Lotus Flower Bomb". "Lotus Flower Bomb" is the only official released single from his recent album Ambition. The song is definitely one of my favorites off the album, but I also like the song "Focused" featuring Kid Cudi which I think is going to be another one of the singles he releases, but we will see.
