We are celebrating the 121st anniversary of the founding of First Presbyterian Church of Downey. Plans are being finalized for the first in a series of events honoring our church heritage and promoting our future.

Let’s pass forward the “ice cream social tradition” to the newer families in Downey. The Fire and Police Departments are joining in, with a fire engine and squad car. Children’s safety will be highlighted with fingerprinting, fire safety info and summer safety tips. An inflatable jumper is being brought in for the kids (of all ages?).

Vintage and custom cars and motorcycles will be on display, and the sanctuary will be opened to showcase our beautiful windows from the inside out. There will be an assortment of live music throughout the day.
Guess what will make this event successful…
