Saturday, Cruit Island with Iain Miller from www.uniqueascent.ie for an intro to Rock Climbing and Sunday hillwalking in Poison Glen with Séamus from www.WalkingDonegal.net.

We have a mixed group of ten so far, but can squeeze a few more in. All gear is provided for the climbing, you just need a pair of trainers and a sense on humor.

You can choose to one activity or both and mng.ie can help arrange accommodation if needed.

Festival Format
All Sessions are held in a regular pub environment without amplification. The sessions are held in the Pubs of Dungloe. Each group plays 2 x 1/2 hour sessions in 2 different pubs either on Saturday afternoon/evening or Sunday afternoon. There are two judging pubs and 4 session practice pubs.

Competition sessions do not take place after 9pm in the evening. Night time sessions are open and all musicians are welcome.

Finalists play a short set on the Main Street platform on Sunday afternoon (around 5pm) where winners will be announced and prizes are presented. This is followed by an open air Ceili with all musicians joining in.

A number of workshops in music and dance normally take place during the festival including workshops in flute, bodhran, accordion, concertina, fiddle and seán-nós dancing. There is also a range of festive fun events throughout the weekend.
