Bimbim Slank Nyanyi, Titi Sjuman Main Drum

Awalnya hanya menjadi penggemar, namun tiba-tiba momentum itu datang. Seperti sebuah mimpi menjadi nyata. Seorang Titi Sjuman akhirnya berkolaborasi dengan Slank, band yang selama ini hanya menjadi band pujaan Titi. Menurut informasi, mereka akan segera tampil pada salah satu panggung di Bandung. Titi yang memang seorang pemukul drum lulusan sekolah musik, sarjana musik Institut Musik Daya Indonesia, Jakarta, jurusan drum.

Titi Sjuman sejak SMP sudah mengidolakan Slank, sehingga kesempatan untuk berkolaborasi dalam satu panggung merupakan bagian yang spesial baginya. Menurut pandangan Titi cara bermain drum Bimbim hebat sekali, dan personil yang lainnya tidak kalah menonjol permainannya.

THE SMASHING PUMPKINS are issuing a 44-song work one at a time, for free, with 4-song EPs being made available as the songs are released. The first EP box (4-song CD and 7” vinyl) is titled TEARGARDEN BY KALEIDYSCOPE VOL. 1/SONGS FOR A SAILOR and is set for release April 20 via Martha’s Music/Rocket Science Ventures and includes the tracks “A Song For A Son,” “Astral Planes” “Widow Wake My Mind,” and “A Stitch In Time.” · The group’s BILLY CORGAN says, “Each song will be made available absolutely for free, to anyone anywhere. There will be no strings attached. Free will mean free, which means you won’t have to sign up for anything, give an email address, or jump through a hoop. You will be able to go and take the song or songs as you wish, as many times as you wish.”

Corgan has said the new music “harkens back to the original psychedelic roots of The Smashing Pumpkins; atmospheric, melodic, heavy, and pretty.”

TEARGARDEN BY KALEIDYSCOPE, CORGAN has said, “is based on ‘The Fool’s Journey,’ as signified in the progress of the Tarot, the intention is to approach the work by breaking down the journey of life into four phases as made by different characters depicted in major arcana cards: the Child, the Fool, the Skeptic and the Mystic.”

The first track, “A Song For A Son,” debuted December 7, 2009 via AOL Music’s Spinner.com, before becoming available on www.smashingpumpkins.com.

· The next recording, “Widow Wake My Mind,” was released January 18, 2010 via MySpace.com before becoming available on www.smashingpumpkins.com.

· The music will not only be issued online, CORGAN has revealed. “We will sell highly limited edition EPs (of 4 songs each times 11), and details of how those EPs will be made available are still being worked out. Because the songs themselves will be free, the EPs will be more like collector’s items for the discerning fan who will want the art itself, along with the highest possible audio quality available. The EPs will be more like mini-box sets rather than your normal CD single. We may also offer other variations for sale--say for example, a digital single with a demo version of a song.”

· Upon the album’s completion, explained CORGAN, “it will be compiled into a deluxe box set which will also be made available for sale. Those who have bought the EPs need not worry, as the box set will not be a recompilation of the limited edition pieces."

Sarah McLachlan is a Canadian singer-songwriter, born in Nova Scotia in 1968. In addition to her Grammy Award winning career she was one of the founders of Lilith Fair, which provided a platform for women performers the late 1990s.

She began her music career fronting a rock group at high school and went on to release her debut album Touch in 1988, which was promoted by the song "Vox".Her breakthrough came with the 1993 album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, which included the track "Possession", a version of which was used for the Canadian TV series Due South. Her greatest commercial success was to come from the 1997 album Surfacing which established McLachlan as one of Canada's top performers. The album would earn her two Grammys and four Junos. Surfacing also helped her promote Lilith Fair, which was an all-female music festival started to raise money for charity and help promote the work of female performers.

After a career break, McLachlan picked up where she left off with the release of the 2003 album Afterglow, which received five Juno nominations and reached No.1 in Canada and No.2 in the US.

Nine Inch Nails (NIN) was formed in 1988 and remains a vehicle for the talents of Trent Reznor, its founder. Reznor's brand of industrial rock is sometimes harsh, often uncompromising and is complemented by perverted, tortured imagery. Professionally he has often found himself at odds with the entertainment industry which has led to tumultuous relationships and ongoing legal wrangles.

While working as an engineer and janitor at Right Track Studios, Reznor recorded demos in spare studio time. It was an entirely solo effort and on the basis of those demos, he was signed to TVT Records. Many of those early demos appeared later as songs on the 1989 debut Pretty Hate Machine, which spent two years in the album charts and achieved platinum status.

The Broken EP was released in 1992 and won two Grammys. It was followed by a remix album Fixed later the same year.

Four times platinum selling The Downward Spiral was released in 1994 to critical acclaim and entered the Billboard chart at No.2. The singles were "March of the Pigs" and "Closer", and the video for "Closer", once edited to suit the sensibilities of conservative viewers, received heavy MTV play. The track "Hurt" also came from that album, although it was never released as a single; it would go on to enjoy renewed success when covered by Johnny Cash in 2002. A remix album, Further Down the Spiral, was released in 1995. This album marked NIN's sales high point.

It was five years before the next studio album, The Fragile (1999), and by the time it was released, anticipation was high. Unsurprisingly, it debuted at No.1, but a lack of promotion meant it didn't stay there long and Reznor ended up financing the tour himself. The remix album was called Things Falling Apart and was released in 2000.

With Teeth was released in 2005 and Year Zero followed two years later. Year Zero was succeeded by the remix album, Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D, also in 2007. Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D marked the end of Nine Inch Nails's contract with Interscope Records. Now a free agent, Nine Inch Nails released Ghosts I-IV, a 36-track instrumental compilation, under a Creative Commons license in March 2008. The first of the four parts, Ghosts I, is available free of charge from the website, and was also made available via bittorrent. Later in 2008, NIN surprised everyone with the release of another new album, The Slip, also available for free from the official website.
