The Heartache of a Bad Person

I learned the hard way that its so easy to point fingers and give your opinions about certain matter. Its very easy to say what is right and what should be done. Careful though, if you never tasted desperate.. If You never know what it feels like to have absolutely nothing... If you can't even pay your bills, If you can't even have a decent food, If you are dying of shame because you can't provide basic things for your family. If you don't know how hard it feels like to pull "the plug" because it leaves you no choice. if you are numb from the shame and worry of people talking behind your back giving their "righteous" opinion again and again, yet they seems to disappear when its time to make the ultimate choice, or when you need them, while you are doing what you can this past few years to be the good son that you should, and survive this mundane world. Deep inside you know that no matter what happened or whatever happiness you have right now won't last.

When you can't even be fully happy with your life because you know at the back of your head a loved one may leave you, that no matter how hard you work you will not enjoy your hard earned money fully, its always the question of money. how much money do you have to prolong the life of a loved one, when you yourself is struggling to survive everyday. when you can't even afford the luxury of saving for the security of your future because you have to sacrifice it all for the present. Whatever happen to the "helping each other". Do you realize how fucked up is that. Choosing to end the life of your loved one because you have given everything financially?. Do you know how hard is that to accept? Do you even bother to think if We are still okay? If we still manage to survive everyday? I guessed not. Its another righteous opinion from others that I have to bear and accept. I even don't have the luxury of resting. when your mind is so preoccupied with problems, worry, and dealing with being forever emotionally scarred of what you have been through. And Yeah sometimes I think of what is the purpose of living when it has always been a constant pain, shame and suffering.

So NO you don't get to judge me! specially if you are not even scratching the surface of who really am I. And if you haven't experienced what I've been through, you have no right to say what right from wrong. If you can only be me and experienced It. I'm sure killing yourself is one of the option that has been set on the table and yet I still choose what is morally right. I still endure the pain of living my life. Its not the question of imperfection or how dysfunctional your life is. Its about enduring it all. Its about swallowing your pride because you have nothing. This is more than reputation now.. I dare you remove everything you got and join me in my journey... lets see If you can still point your damn finger and give your opinion about how ungrateful son am I. What happened in my life sure as hell changed me.. It changes everything. And YES I still pray to the lord almighty that you DO NOT experienced what I've been through as always I will be the bigger man to understand your stupid sense of Self-Righteousness. I will be the one to sacrifice again the pain of your words... You can never fully understand unless you have gone to the place my life has gone to. A place where it pushes you to the limit and then some more. A place you know that has changed you forever and somehow fucked your life and still do your best to be a normal citizen, a good son, a good brother, a good husband, and father. To fit in the norm of what society needs and supposed a good person is.

Game Change

Legend has it that St. Basil’s Cathedral’s beauty cost its architect his eyes. The Moscow monument was built between 1555 and 1561 by Ivan the Terrible to commemorate a victory over the Mongols, and he’s said to have blinded the architect so that he couldn’t create a rival masterpiece. The Russian St. Basil the Blessed lies interred within the church.

Wildflowers add color to a dacha, or country home, in Mandrogy, between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Mandrogy is a re-created village, an idealization of traditional country life that’s popular with tourists taking cruises on the nearby Svir River.

The Hermitage houses one of the world’s greatest art collections in one of the world’s most impressive groups of buildings. A famous former occupant of the palace, Catherine the Great, acquired the core of the collection during her 18th-century reign. Later, new treasures and buildings were added for the enjoyment of other royals and, eventually, the public.

Siberia’s Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world—at over a mile (1,700 meters)—and holds an incredible 20 percent of Earth’s unfrozen fresh water. Formed some 25 million years ago, it’s also the world’s oldest lake. Because of its age and isolation, hundreds of aquatic species evolved here that are found nowhere else on the planet.

Moscow’s Garden Ring road was laid out in the early 1800s, but the view in those days was nothing like this one from the top of the Peking Hotel. The original ring was a tree-lined boulevard that traced the path of the city’s ancient outer wall. Today central Moscow lies inside the ring, but the city stretches well beyond.

A congregation in Vorkuta gathers to celebrate Easter at a midnight Mass. This coal-mining town, north of the Arctic Circle, was founded as a labor camp. Partly because it was a notorious gulag, partly because of the antichurch positions of the Soviet Union, the town didn’t have a dedicated church building until 2007.

Box Office Report: John Carter can’t jump The Lorax

The box office results for the weekend of March 9th – 11th has three newbies struggle to garner attention and end up being lost in the The Lorax’s shadow. Here are the studio estimates:
1. Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax ($39.1 million)
2. John Carter ($30.6 million)
3. Project X ($11.5 million)
4. Silent House ($7 million)
5. Act of Valor ($7 million)
6. A Thousand Words ($6.5 million)
7. Safe House ($4.9 million)
8. The Vow ($4 million)
9. The Means War ($3.7 million)
10. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (3.6 million)

The only new release that will be seeing the black ink on the balance sheet will be the thrifty produced Silent House. As long as Open Road Films didn’t go crazy on the marketing costs for this horror remake – which by the lack of promos, they didn’t – then there’s a solid chance this will be profitable assuming that the production budget was only a couple million.
Months before John Carter was released, cinema pundits were already proclaiming that this could be a major flop for Walt Disney Pictures. And they were right. With a monstrous production budget of $250 million, a $30 million opening weekend just won’t cut it. The sci-fi flick is going to need a massive overseas’ showing or else this will not only be on Flop Alert…this is Flop Certainty. Why and how this occurred is unknown; yet there is evidence over the years of releasing a summer-like blockbuster in the Spring, which has been able to perform exceptionally well.
Eddie Murphy’s drawing power as a leading man has once again taken a hit with the often-delayed A Thousand Words. In films where Murphy was the sole lead, only 2007′s Norbit has performed well for the former comedian. Seriously, what happened to R-rated Murphy? With a $40 million production budget, and the terrible reviews from both the lovely critics and audiences, there isn’t anything Paramount can say to save this product.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and Safe House currently have the longest streak in the top ten with 5 weeks apiece. Journey is up to $90 million domestically, while Safe House hit $115 million and has become one of the year’s top Sleeper Hit thus far.
This Friday it’s another ’80s TV show receiving the big-screen treatment. 21 Jump Street will be revamped and hope to capitalize on the rabid hunger for R-rated comedies. In limited fashion, Jeff Who Lives at Home and Casa De Mi Padre quietly make their debuts. Reviews will be right here my fellow Shockers.
After

weeks of search, “Two Gun” Crowley - the killer, the

gunman who didn’t smoke or drink - was at bay, trapped

in his sweetheart’s apartment on West End Avenue.

One hundred and fifty policemen and detectives laid

siege to his top-floor hideway. They chopped holes in

the roof; they tried to smoke out Crowley, the “cop

killer,” with teargas. Then they mounted their machine

guns on surrounding buildings, and for more than an

hour one of New York’s fine residential areas reverberated

with the crack of pistol fire and the rut-tat-tat of

machine guns. Crowley, crouching behind an overstuffed

chair, fired incessantly at the police. Ten thousand

excited people watched the battle. Nothing like it

ever been seen before on the sidewalks of New

York.

When Crowley was captured, Police Commissioner

E. P. Mulrooney declared that the two-gun desperado

was one of the most dangerous criminals ever encountered

in the history of New York. “He will kill,” said the

Commissioner, “at the drop of a feather.”

But how did “Two Gun” Crowley regard himself? We

know, because while the police were firing into his

apartment, he wrote a letter addressed “To whom it may

concern, ” And, as he wrote, the blood flowing from his

wounds left a crimson trail on the paper. In this letter

Crowley said: “Under my coat is a weary heart, but a

kind one - one that would do nobody any harm.”

A short time before this, Crowley had been having a

necking party with his girl friend on a country road out

on Long Island. Suddenly a policeman walked up to the

car and said: “Let me see your license.”

Without saying a word, Crowley drew his gun and cut

the policeman down with a shower of lead. As the dying

officer fell, Crowley leaped out of the car, grabbed the

officer’s revolver, and fired another bullet into the prostrate

body. And that was the killer who said: “Under my

coat is a weary heart, but a kind one - one that would do

nobody any harm.’

Crowley was sentenced to the electric chair. When he

arrived at the death house in Sing Sing, did he say, “This

is what I get for killing people”? No, he said: “This is

what I get for defending myself.”

The point of the story is this: “Two Gun” Crowley

didn’t blame himself for anything.

Is that an unusual attitude among criminals? If you

think so, listen to this:

“I have spent the best years of my life giving people

the lighter pleasures, helping them have a good time,

and all I get is abuse, the existence of a hunted man.”

That’s Al Capone speaking. Yes, America’s most notorious

Public Enemy- the most sinister gang leader who

ever shot up Chicago. Capone didn’t condemn himself.

He actually regarded himself as a public benefactor - an

unappreciated and misunderstood public benefactor.

And so did Dutch Schultz before he crumpled up

under gangster bullets in Newark. Dutch Schultz, one of

New York’s most notorious rats, said in a newspaper interview

that he was a public benefactor. And he believed

it.

I have had some interesting correspondence with

Lewis Lawes, who was warden of New York’s infamous

Sing Sing prison for many years, on this subject, and he

declared that “few of the criminals in Sing Sing regard

themselves as bad men. They are just as human as you

and I. So they rationalize, they explain. They can tell

you why they had to crack a safe or be quick on the

trigger finger. Most of them attempt by a form of reasoning,

fallacious or logical, to justify their antisocial acts

even to themselves, consequently stoutly maintaining

that they should never have been imprisoned at all.”

If Al Capone, “Two Gun” Crowley, Dutch Schultz,

and the desperate men and women behind prison walls

don’t blame themselves for anything - what about the

people with whom you and I come in contact?

John Wanamaker, founder of the stores that bear his

name, once confessed: “I learned thirty years ago that it

is foolish to scold. I have enough trouble overcoming my

own limitations without fretting over the fact that God

has not seen fit to distribute evenly the gift of intelligence.”

Wanamaker learned this lesson early, but I personally

had to blunder through this old world for a third of a

century before it even began to dawn upon me that

ninety-nine times out of a hundred, people don’t criticize

themselves for anything, no matter how wrong it

may be.

Criticism is futile because it puts a person on the defensive

and usually makes him strive to justify himself.

Criticism is dangerous, because it wounds a person’s

precious pride, hurts his sense of importance, and

arouses resentment.

B. F. Skinner, the world-famous psychologist, proved

through his experiments that an animal rewarded for

good behavior will learn much more rapidly and retain

what it learns far more effectively than an animal punished

for bad behavior. Later studies have shown that

the same applies to humans. By criticizing, we do not

make lasting changes and often incur resentment.

Hans Selye, another great psychologist, said, “As

much as we thirst for approval, we dread condemnation,”

The resentment that criticism engenders can demoralize

employees, family members and friends, and still

not correct the situation that has been condemned.

simple things, simple joy

some men wants to collect something, it doesn't matter what it is, it gives them a sense of purpose a contentment that only the collector will know and understand. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn." okay the last phrase was from the movie dark knight, hehehe! okay seriously

its fun to collect things I myself collect things like starwars, MAD magazines etc. and now lately Characters from Nolan's version of Batman I try to collect those, it can be time consuming and expensive especially if your priorities changed, some things will be much more of importance rather than your self fulfillment but nevertheless I try! I guess it gives me comfort in a way, an escape? probably from the seriousness of things. Take everything seriously and you lose your sanity! below are images of collection my good friend JP has.

ever to appear on the planet opens up to receive the rays of the sun. Prior to
this momentous event that heralds an evolutionary transformation in the life
of plants, the planet had already been covered in vegetation for millions of
years. The first flower probably did not survive for long, and flowers must
have remained rare and isolated phenomena, since conditions were most
likely not yet favorable for a widespread flowering to occur. One day,
however, a critical threshold was reached, and suddenly there would have
been an explosion of color and scent all over the planet – if a perceiving
consciousness had been there to witness it.

Much later, those delicate and fragrant beings we call flowers would
come to play an essential part in the evolution of consciousness of another
species. Humans would increasingly be drawn to and fascinated by them. As

the consciousness of human beings developed, flowers were most likely the
first thing they came to value that had no utilitarian purpose for them, that is
to say, was not linked in some way to survival. They provided inspiration to
countless artists, poets, and mystics. Jesus tells us to contemplate the flowers
and learn from then how to live. The Buddha is said to have given a “silent
sermon” once during which he held up a flower and gazed at it.

After a while, one of those present, a monk called Mahakasyapa, began to smile. He
is said to have been the only one who had understood the sermon. According
to legend, that smile (that is to say, realization) was handed down by twentyeight
successive masters and much later became the origin of Zen.
Seeing beauty in a flower could awaken humans, however briefly, to
the beauty that is an essential part of their own innermost being, their true
nature. The first recognition of beauty was one of the most significant events
in the evolution of human consciousness. The feelings of joy and love are
intrinsically connected to that recognition. Without our fully realizing it,
flowers would become for us an expression in form of that which is most
high, most sacred, and ultimately formless within ourselves. Flowers, more
fleeting, more ethereal and more delicate than the plants out of which they
emerged, would become like messengers from another realm, like a bridge between
the world of physical forms and the formless. They not only had a
scent that was delicate and pleasing to humans, but also brought a fragrance
from the realm of spirit. Using the word “enlightenment” in a wider sense
than the conventionally accepted one, we could look upon flowers as the
enlightenment of plants.

Any lifeform in any realm – mineral, vegetable, animal, or human –
can be said to undergo “enlightenment.” It is, however, an extremely rare
occurrence since it is more than an evolutionary progression: It also implies
a discontinuity in its development, a leap to an entirely different level of
Being and, most important, a lessening of materiality.
What could be heavier and more impenetrable than a rock, the densest
of all forms? And yet some rocks undergo a change in their molecular
structure, turn into crystals, and so become transparent to the light. Some
carbons, under inconceivable heat and pressure, turn into diamonds, and
some heavy minerals into other precious stones.
Most crawling reptilians, the most earthbound of all creatures, have
remained unchanged for millions of years. Some, however, grew feathers and
wings and turned into birds, thus defying the force of gravity that had held
them for so long. They didn’t become better at crawling or walking, but
transcended crawling and walking entirely.
Since time immemorial, flowers, crystals, precious stones, and birds
have held special significance for the human spirit. Like all lifeforms, they
are, of course, temporary manifestations of the underlying one Life, one
Consciousness. Their special significance and the reason why humans feel
such fascination for and affinity with them can be attributed to their ethereal quality.
Once there is a certain degree of presence, of still and alert attention
in human beings’ perceptions, they can sense the divine life essence, the one
indwelling consciousness or spirit in every creature, every lifeform,
recognize it as one with their own essence and so love it as themselves. Until
this happens, however, most humans see only the outer forms, unaware of the
inner essence, just as they are unaware of their own essence and identify only
with their own physical and psychological form.

In the case of a flower, a crystal, precious stone, or bird, however, even
someone with little or no Presence can occasionally sense that there is more
than the mere physical existence of that form, without knowing that this is
the reason why he or she is drawn toward it, feels an affinity with it. Because
of its ethereal nature, its form obscures the indwelling spirit to a lesser degree
than is the case with other lifeforms. The exception to this are all newborn lifeforms –
babies, puppies, kittens, lambs, and so on. They are fragile, delicate, not yet firmly
established in materiality. An innocence, a sweetness and beauty that are not of this
world still shine through them. They delight even relatively insensitive humans.
So when you are alert and contemplate a flower, crystal, or bird
without naming it mentally, it becomes a window for you into the formless.
There is an inner opening, however slight, into the realm of spirit. This is
why these three “enlightened”lifeformshave played such an important part
in the evolution of human consciousness since ancient times; why, for
example, the jewel in the lotus flower is a central symbol of Buddhism and a
white bird, the dove, signifies the Holy Spirit in Christianity. They have been
preparing the ground for a more profound shift in planetary consciousness
that is destined to take place in the human species. This is the spiritual
awakening that we are beginning to witness now.
Streetlamps illuminate historic Calle Crisologo in the 16th-century town of Vigan. Located in the province of Ilocos Sur, Vigan’s well-preserved mix of Spanish colonial planning and Asian architectural influences earned it a spot on UNESCO’s World Heritage list in 1999.
Held at the height of monsoon season, the Mambukal Mudpack Festival in Murcia, Negros Occidental, celebrates the harmony of man and nature and encourages environmentalism among young people. To get in the spirit, participants cover themselves with the rich soil known as Mambukal clay.
Continuing a 2,000-year-old tradition, women harvest rice by hand on the Banaue terraces. Even record harvests haven't been able to support the nation's 90 million people, forcing it to become the leading rice importer

A tropical archipelago of more than 7,000 islands splashed between China and Indonesia, the Philippines is known as one of the world’s 25 biodiversity hot spots, hosting endemic plants and animals and coral reefs teeming with life. With a history of colonization by Spain and the United States, the heavily Roman Catholic nation has retained a unique blend of cultures and traditions.

On Cebu Island, bright colors and ritual dances distinguish the popular Sinulog festival, a celebration of the child Jesus, patron of Cebu City
