Below is her bio for today's bulletin.

Mrs Jessie is the church-and-community missionary in the Norfolk Area Baptist Association. She and her husband David have been married for over 22 years and have two daugthers, Danielle and Clare.

She grew up as an Army brat and a civil service kid, moving between bases in Virginia and Kentucky. From the fifth grade on she was active in the youth group in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. God and church were an important part of her life.

At the age of seven, after hearing her pastor talk about what it meant having a relationship with God, she invited God into her life as Lord and Savior.

Kim started out her college years a s a pre-med biology major at Randolph Macon. Feeling that this might not be the path the Lord wanted for her, after much prayer God revealed a different direction for her life. She began her religious education at Gardner-Webb College and later received her M. Div. from Southern Seminary.

After working as the youth director of Kistler's United Methodist Church during her sophmore year, Kim knew where she was supposed to be. While serving as Minister of Education and Youth at Severn Baptist Church, MD, she wanted to do more. She and her husband decided that she should return to seminary to earn a Master of Social Work degree. However, God prevailed and she was not required to do the additional degree.

With her church experience and volunteer service with the Arundel Assoc. (MD) and the Home Mission Board (now the North American Mission Board), Mrs. Jesse was hired on a trial basis as the CCM. That was over 15 years ago.
