The Cancel is a young band from Western Ukraine. They just started their way. As artists said, they needed to start from something, to depart from a point to compare with later. The Cancel's first album "Diversity" is that point. No limits or any restrictions in music creation, pleasant combinations of jazz, soul, lounge and other samples from the last century as well as modern sounds. As for me, their music has gently and warm tinge with slight notes of melancholy.

"Witch' is Part II of The October Series, a trilogy of themed mixtapes from prolific 19-year-old New York producer RAJA (formerly known as InfinitiRock).

Billed as a collection of trap beats, 'Witch' is driven by a series of preposterously epic slow bangers like 'Blank CD,' 'Vapor Trails,' 'Rituals,' 'Make Me' and 'Go Back to Sleep.' But thunderous noddable crunk is not the sole objective of this tape as tracks like 'Punk (Buster)' and 'Ghost Child' blossom into double time shuffles, expanding the mix.

Sonically, 'Witch' departs from the sampled acoustic instrumentation of 'Red,' opting instead for heavy duty electronics. Distorted sub kicks and churning drum machines, swooning bass synths and processed female vocal exhortations are all juxtaposed with the characteristic fuzz, hiss and crackle of a beatmaker with a penchant for sounding tactility."

French house is a generalized term for house music made by French artists. The main features of french house are preference on cut-off and phaser effects and samples from late 70s and early 90s disco music. The pioneers of this genre are Daft Punk, Cassius and Etienne de Crécy. French house can also be called 'filter house', 'tekfunk' or 'nu-disco'. Apparently, the genre has been developed from disco music and initiated the electro dance and electro house music. This compilation of genre has been published on French label Crydamoure created by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (from Daft Punk) and Eric Chedeville and contains few songs from Le Knight Club who are Guy-Manuel and Eric, too. In the best traditions of French house, tracks contain samples of such artists like Boney M, Cerrone and Lipps, Inc.

How can that be that I haven't uploaded it yet? I usually don't upload unofficial live recordings, but damn, I was there :3 More than one hour of drone, live in a small shitty music club in Kyiv. There were also 4 or 5 bands from Ukraine, Russia and Belorussia before Troum and almost nobody listened to them. We were smoking outside of club when suddenly we realised that music is too beautiful to be played by somebody of those bands. And since we entered inside again we just stayed at our places until the end. Thanks Denis for invitation, thanks Natasha for a good company and hospitality, and thanks Vova and Nadya for you just were there.

Found him when browsing last.fm by 'glitch-hop' tag. It's turned out that he's from Glasgow, Scotland and this only his album has been released on WARP. Having the same rhythm and heavy-sounding as dubstep, glitch-hop is a good alternative when you want of something at the same time light and inspiring. Particularly, Hudson Mohawke, with his pitched fragments and fairy-tale synthesis.

Searching for low-frequency drone, downloaded this on recommendation of one cute Korean girl whom I know personally :3 Being not a big fan of drone music, I liked this meditative spiritual analogue synthesis reminding of Ryoji Ikeda pitched down. After rewatching FLCL (with directors notes btw) noticed it has one (and only) classical song called "Comedians Galop" from The Comedians Suite, Op. 26, the most known work of Dmitry Kabalevsky, a Soviet composer. Though his father was a mathematician and fostered him to study mathematics, Dmitry joined into the arts. He was also a pedagogue, a film composer, a member of the Communist Party and a public figure in USSR. He's got many awards and titles like "People's Artist of the USSR", "Hero of Socialist Labour", "Order of the Red Banner of Labour" and many other Soviet shit. He wrote many patriotic songs during World War II, composed and performed many pieces for silent movies and some theater music. The Soviet subject area is the basis of the majority of his compositions; with its formal and optimistic mood, it fits in with canons of socialist realism never better. Now I'll just cite wikipedia: "Perhaps Kabalevsky's most important contribution to the world of music-making is his consistent efforts to connect children to music. Not only did he write music specifically directed at bridging the gap between children's technical skills and adult aesthetics, but during his lifetime he set up a pilot program of music education in twenty-five Soviet schools. Kabalevsky himself taught a class of seven-year-olds for a time, teaching them how to listen attentively and put their impressions into words. His writings on this subject were published in the United States in 1988 as Music and education: a composer writes about musical education."

FLCL is amazing original anime series, the masterpiece of absurdity (though not really it just seems to be like that at first sight) and music used in FLCL is written by Japanese rock band the pillows from Hokkaido, mostly. Some tracks were composed by 光宗信吉 (Mitsumune Shinkichi), a Japanese anime (mostly) composer from Fukuoka, one track by Dmitry Borisovich Kabalevsky, a Russian composer, and few drama tracks performed by seiyuus. Consists of three CDs: FLCL Original Soundtrack 1 Addict, FLCL Original Sound Track & Drama CD 2 King of Pirates and FLCL Original Sound Track NO.3. Archives contain HQ scans and logs and re-tagged as it must to be (Kanji, original artists, etc).
