Yeah yeah I know, I've been promising so much, but once again... things are coming up in real life again. barely have time to do anything anymore! I barely have time to look at the wall!

Today's post won't be much about games, more about gaming, and the entertainment of Let's players.
I want to talk about one that comes "dear" to me, by that I mean I don't know him in person but rather by his YouTube and charity streams over the past months. I've seen him grow from 3K to almost 1,5 million subs (as i write).

My Girlfriend introduced me to this YouTuber, after several attempts to make me like him, i finally "fell in love" with this guy after a couple of videos. He understood the meaning of gaming and entertaining, he tried his very best to be better at what he loved, he is the reason why I keep on training on drawing and sometimes just to have more fun playing rather than "play hard, play good".

His name is: Markiplier

Markiplier, or Mark as he is named in the living realm, is a YouTuber who primarily uploads gameplay, or playthroughs of different video games. he has over 1,400,000 subscribers, and makes a milestone video every 100,000 subscribers (or so) he gets, to show his gratitude. He is most known for playing 'Slender', 'SCP: Containment Breach', ' Drunk Minecraft', 'Cry Of Fear', ' Amnesia Custom Stories' and 'Happy Wheels Highlights'.

'Cry of Fear' Is one of mark's earliest playthrough, which is also the most popular, this horror game video features a Markiplier face cam, so you could see him Cry Of Fear (Get it?!) GO WATCH IT NOAW!

One of the important Videos I want to recommend is the "Draw My Life - Markiplier" to get a deeper understanding and feeling for this bloke. After I watched that I felt more and more for Mark on why he wanted to entertain and his willpower to continue. He Takes constructive criticism Seriously (as in trying to make it even better.) and Mark wants the best for his viewers.

Now for the personal bit:

Seeing Mark Play makes me smile every damn time, even if it's a game i don't care about. It's just all about his emotions and reactions that keep me watching. Seeing how he can ignore certain items that he needs which is right in front of me doesn't make me think: "oh god mark, you're such an idiot, if you keep on doing that I'll unsubscribe." but rather: "Lol, you're so stressed about that monster behind you, you totally forgot to check for the key/oil/IMPORTANT ITEM right in front of your nose!"

Not only that, but he joined YouTube May 26, 2012. He had a slow grow on the subscribers, but suddenly, Half a year ago (around Aug/Sep 2013) a sudden BURST of growth on his channel, before we knew it, he had 1 million subscribers (Oct 30, 2013) He made even a deep gratitude video, just to see the sparks in his eyes in the 1 million subscribers video makes me believe in him. I see a spark of hope.

Markiplier haven't just entertained me several hours with his whimsical behaviour, fear, laughter and rage. He has also inspired me to keep on going, no matter what, No matter how hard it is, keep going. His charity livestreams even gave me faith in humanity, allthough I feel bad for not having any money to help out on it. If Mark is reading this one day (HELLO MARK!) I'd like to say one thing:

Thank you. Thank you for showing me there is still hope even if you ram your head into the wall over and over again, no matter what it is. It Doesn't matter if it's work, school, Drawing, gaming or writing. It Doesn't matter as long as you love doing it, the difficult parts in life can easily be ignored or even survivable if you just do what you love. I will try my best, even if I fail several times. You haven't told us much about yourself, but still it feels like we know you. You are the motivation and inspiration for my creativity when it comes to drawing and writing. hopefully one day we may meet!

As Markiplier would say:

Battlefield 4 - Part 1 - The Multiplayer/Battlelog

Trying my best to keep it scheduled to write every now and then, kinda hard when the Christmas spirit is biting my arse off. Aka - I'm celebrating Christmas alone with my GF this year, which means I need to prepare food and all that sorts of things for me and my lady! because: (insert joke about women should be in the kitchen here).

SO I'm a bit late out about Battlefield 4 and stuff, but I have been playing it! ...alot... HELL! ALL THE TIME!

The thing about Battlefield 4 is the levelution. DICE hyped up as hell and truth be told, it's FRIGGING AWESOME! They did not disappoint at all! Watching the skyscraper fall in Siege of Shanghai or make the water flood the whole map on "Flood Zone", is really gamechanging. It really is!

BUT! The biggest mistake they did was releasing it too early.

"Why?" you ask?

Let me inform you then!
When Battlefield 4 first was released it was a huge amount of crashes, mostly on mulitplayer servers, but also sometimes on singleplayer as well (rare as hell!). but back to the multiplayer bit, it wasn't the greatest moment of Battlefield, it was horrible... If you've been playing for a while and started unlocking things in that game and then crashed. You've lost it all, every damn thing!

It has happened so many times for me in the early release of BF4. Thankfully they have fixed it now and it is all good and dandy! NOPE! er.... well the part of where you keep your progress is fixed, but the crashing, nope, nope and yet again nope! it's better, but not quite there yet. I often crash on Siege of Shanghai, especially when the skyscraper falls, or if i shoot/blow up stuff at the same time something else explodes at the same time.

Nevertheless, let's go forth and onto the battlelog!

The Battlelog

Profile:

The battlelog is the pretty standard one from BF3, but it still something much more... well, nicer! something more fluid.

I feel comfortable using it, compared to the battlelog for BF3. I have no idea what they've really done to the thing, but it seems like they have been fixing things

In the profile site you have the basic; Battle feed and Game Activity shows you the rewards and your promoted battle Feeds.

Which means: your favorite games. So if you like your K/D on one game, you can post it so everyone can see how good you did! or if you were the best support/class!

Emblem Customization:

The Artsy part of me is giggling when I'm at this page. Why?
Because I can create whatever I want and I can force it to the face of the enemies I kill, how isn't that awesome?!

Alas... You can only have max of 20 layers (40 if you got premium). And another bad thing is: The-less-creative-childish-players, The-dumb-imbeciles-who-just-make-it-shits'n'giggles-players. The.... sigh... you get my point.

(P.S. They have added so you can share your emblem with the world or just friends)

The thing I hate is the damn players having an emblem of a dick or something else... personal. worst thing is, they are so crappy and cheesy made it really hurts my "artsy" eyes!

The Missions:

The Missions are just there to pretty much make you compete against your friends. by being the best Squad player, Vehicle Destroyer, Handgun Expert, Killing machine, Best (Class)

And you can give them several attempts or just 1 time. Timed or when everyone have done their turns.

The reward is sooner or later getting the Dogtags (18 in total) so you can brag about the missions you've done.

There is nothing much else to say about this site, I'd say it's just a "bonus" thing they've added.

Server Browser:

The BF4 Server Browers is so much better than the BF3 one, Why? well because there is order in the filters, not randomly shitting around like it was earlier. And I got to say, why does it look so NICE?! I have no clue!

Again! back to the browser. The good thing about it is how they've systematically made tabs for if you want to find a server, or just quick join one. Checking out your favorite or the history of the servers you've been on.

Adding friends into a group chat will "force" you all to join the same server, way better than they did in BF3.

Quick info:
-They've also added 5 man squad, an increase by 1 from BF3 which REALLY,REALLY helps alot!
-Commander is back, OH YEAH! really helps having a commander on the team, if the team really work with him... that is... ugh... the horrid flashbacks.

Short Summary

Despite the problem they had earlier with the client crashes, They have really learned from their mistakes, and that's good! Keep it up, and I might start loving this game.I do LIKE it, but the differences between the servers are too severe. By that I mean there is a BIG difference between 15-35 ping and 45+ ping, 100+ is so random you might as well just play Roulette, or RUSSIAN roulette.

Not only that but it feels like it's a big difference between the server hosts as well. Some are so crappy it's no use playing on that server. Then again, there are servers that are working like a charm.

My recommendations: Play with friends, lots o' them. go together, and last but not least; Pwn them noobs as a team!

Next part will be a tiny bit about the Singleplayer/multiplayer modes.

Lost out in the real world.

Hello, hello, hello! It's been a while since I've written anything at all on this blog. Come to think about it, its atleast 2 months and I'm terribly sorry for it! (I am! Honest!)

The reason is simple; I got a job in a city, which means I had to pack up ALL my things -though it wasn't a lot- and get myself sorted into the working life in a city. Long story short; I feel I made a "bad" decision to down prioritize this blog. Especially since dreamhack and other events have been around the past months. And the releases of new gen consoles. (wow! I have really missed out haven't I?)

I have no trouble at all to jump back on that damn saddle and keep on writing! Now that there is new games up and running, I have more than enough resources to gather up something interesting for you all.

...if you forgive me for my laziness that is... well not lazy...waaait, yeah lazy. Doing Hard work and doing things that makes your whole head disliking the job you do, sure makes you exhausted at the end of the day. What I'm trying to say, every fibre in my body said this was "wrong".

Terraria, The Last update!

...or is it? After a loong time being "dead", buried 6 feet under, the game saw daylight once again, with the newest update that arrived today (Oct 1st). To be honest, I thought the last patch was the "last patch" (they really said so!). but look! the patch arrived and the game started living again! YAAAY

Terraria

Terraria died out couple of weeks/months after the last update V 1.1.

On 21 February 2012 they announced that the Terraria development had ceased. Redigit rose up from the depths and hinted on about a possible update 1 year later (23 January 2013). The Developers teased us greatly with the speaking about various details of a 1.2 update. And after some more confirmation of an update, they later on stated that the 1.2 update would be larger than the 1.1 update (the update hardmode was introduced).

Well, enough about the past, now about the present!

Terraria update 1.2

There is so much to say about the newest update, almost too much to add for this tiny blog! So I'll add the link to the changelog riiiiiiiight HERE!

The update is huuuuge otherwise! Bugfixes, Mechanics and Gameplay, Graphical Changes, Recipes/Items, NPC's, Music and preformance/Miscellaneous.

Let's take the huuuge gamechangers that I see fit:

Enemies have a health bar! Map, Minimap and overlay that only shows tiles the brightest they have ever been
8 new friendly npc's, 4 new bosses and over 100 new enemies!
Over 1,000 new items, 10 new ores, 4 new wood types, 31 new brick types and several new items
Sun is brighter and midnight is darker, hell houses and floating islands remodeled, each biome will have unique textures and wood types!
There are several new buffs and debuffs, Players no longer take double damage in PvP (for those interested), Mana Crystals only require 5 Stars, down from 10. Inventory space has been increased by 10, new hairstyles, character creation has been remodeled.
Chest sizes had been doubled (DOUBLED!)

So the Game is alive once again, Why not bring your friends into the world of Terraria and check out the new bosses, enemies and friendly NPC's. Maybe they will stick around and give us more updates, or just let it rest in peace? who knows, but what's for sure is that i'm going to start playing it again.

I do not want to spoil the fun and tell you what's new specifically! GO PLAY IT DAMN IT!

....What? I don't care if you have over 500+ hours played and you're tired of it, just go and check it out! Why? BECAUSE I SAY SO!

NEWS: Dark Souls II Release date

You know the pain and agony you got from Dark Souls, the bloody bosses that pisses you off or even the certain minions. Are you prepared to let it happen again, with even more unforgiving enemies?

Dark Souls II will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 the 14th (11th in USA) march 2014.
There is no release date on the PC version yet, but the developers from the software tells us it will follow up pretty close afterwards.

Tanimura tells us: "with the first Dark Souls, the development team worked on the console version before the PC version, and because of that there were less options on the development team to make the PC version more optimal in terms of resolution and so on."
"With Dark Souls 2, the team's working on console and PC at the same time, so there shouldn't be an issue with how optimal it will be on day one."

Top 10: Female Heroines!

First of all, trying to get a Top 10 POSITIVE female Heroines is not easy, when it comes to playable characters, you have so many to choose from, but only so few are actually "awesome". Having it all about how awesome a character are with the size of the bra as the reason is not really what I'd say is a valid argument. Therefore I tried my best here to find the "playable heroines" that is having a good influence on people. You'll be shocked.

10. Nilin Cartier-Wells (Remember me)

Nilin lost her memories and tries to get it all back together to find out who she was and who she is. After waking up in the Bastille Prison in Paris, no memory what so ever, The authorities arrested her and cleared her memory clean. Clueless of who or what she is, she manage to get her memory back sooner or later, the twist in it all is just lovely!

9. Alice Liddell (Alice: Madness returns)

While being an insane girl, with her "insane fairy tales" of Wonderland, she actually lived them over and over again in her mind. making her one of the... well quite strange protagonists out there, but it had it's charm on it all how this world was, and how dark it is. she often went "mental" and became worse and worse, no one believed her when she told the truth, as she always did. A damn good Protagonist in a dark world and style.

8. April Ryan (The Longest Journey)

Yeah I know, most of you guys remember her as the first time you've seen her is in her underwear. Still, bad graphics and people DO really sleep in underwear, so stop fuzzing! April is a really well portrayed character overall. She suddenly gets dragged into the fantasy world of Arcadia, observations that are obviously sarcastic but helps the pace on this point and click. (not saying point and click is slow and boring, but they have a faint of it now and then.)

7. Faith Connors (Mirror's Edge)

Someone who can win a gunfight without a gun is a hero(ine) in my book, but that is not the only thing that gives Faith Connors the spot in the list. She tries to clear her sister's name, who have been framed for a murder. Faith beats the cops without using a gun and tries her best not to kill anyone. and hell of a runner! The free-running in the city really helps!

6. Chell (Portal)

Chell is the female version of Gordon Freeman's role as a silent protagonist. having her all quiet as GLaDOS taunted and started to fear her made it all better, having a character that talked would ruin the atmosphere of being in a test chamber and feeling that's the only reason she was born for. She tries to escape Aperture science lab and finally manage to do so after 2 tries.

5. Zoey (Left 4 Dead)

After losing her parents, watching them turn to zombies and shot one of them. She is a hell of a girl that keeps it all together, even the traumas in her mind. After losing a dear friend that she actually felt like a father figure --Bill--, she comes off somewhat more serious and angry. But still keeps her eyes on survival and helping her new friends.

4. Sarah Kerrigan (Starcraft)

I know, you dont EXACTLY play her but you do have some missions as her.

Sarah Kerrigan noticed quite early in her age that she had Telepathic Powers, which resulted into the training into become one of the Terran Confederacy's 'Ghosts'. Ghosts are soldiers with psionic abilities and entrusted with stealth operations. All the good things she did before she got overwhelmed by a Zerg swarm- The Zerg infection couldn't destroy Kerrigan or her gift, this resulted into her becoming the 'Queen of Blades'.

3. Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)

The story of Jill Valentine takes us back into the Mansion incident, where we first meet her. From beating an army of zombies, getting brainwashed by Wesker and beating the crap out of him. She has a broad range of skills which she uses in her fight against bio-terrorism. surprisingly good at disarming/disposal bombs. And after all what she has seen, this woman gotta be on the top 10!

2. Commander Shepard (Mass Effect)

Now this is kinda tricky, because you can be female AND male Shepard. so i guess I'll add it on both of the list! Facing collectors and alike, Commander Shepard did not only save the mankind, but the entire universe from utter extermination of the reapers, making him/her a true hero in my book. The way you can decide how your character can be and your decisions have consequences, really makes it up to be one of my favorite.

1. Samus Aran (Metroid)

For being an intergalactic bounty hunter, she actually does a good job on surviving everything that gets in her way. It might be the suit doing all the work, but you cannot deny that there is at least one Blondie that has the brain to save the galaxy against evil beings. I still remember the day I found out she was a girl, made her more awesome, since well... you know that you're used to male characters being awesome.

Shocked that Lara Croft or Bayonetta isn't on the list? well that's a shame for you! because in my eyes they are not really a kind of "good protagonist" in my eyes, yes they kick ass but that doesn't mean it's good! (although Bayonetta is one of my favorite games!)

Top 10: Male Heroes!

We all have certain Video Game heroes we can't "live without", but can we rank them in a justified way? Sure, some of the heroes are greater than others; some heroes have saved an entire galaxy, some heroes have just saved thousands of lives. A hero is one who truly fights for what's right and even in the darkest hour, keeps on fighting.

So here is my list of my "playable heroes" in video games of all time which has left its mark on me.

10. Captain Price (Call of Duty)

OK first of all he's not a playable hero I get it, but reason NR 1 why he's a hero? LOOK AT HIS BLOODY MUSTACHE! Other reasons? HE'S IMMORTAL! By that I mean he's in almost every call of duty game, not that he never dies... Feels like he never age! Anyhow, he's one of the reasons why I kept playing those games, he gave me interests in what happens next and why etc. Captain Price has always been there for you, if it is from getting away from a sinking ship, fighting against incredible odds, or to kill a guy while both of you are lying there dying.

9. Marcus Fenix (Gears Of War)

OK ok, this is more because he's shouting with his raspy voice and all the gore and... yeah the shooting, He's badass, simple as that. The way you get to know the characters is neat, as the game goes by, you'll actually understand more and more. he got labeled as a coward, why? He abandoned his post to save his dad, that's a hero in my eyes!

8. Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden)

So... yeah, he's a good guy. Who likes to horribly massacre the bad guys, but he's good! Ryu slices up any enemies that comes his way, even World-threatening ancient evils! A true hero of the east, armed with the legendary Dragon Sword. Long Story short, Ryu inherits the sword from his father and tries to save all he cares for. And Defeating Fiends in his way to reach his goal.

7. William "Bill" Overbeck (Left 4 Dead)

A Vietnam veteran who served in the US Army 1st Special Forces Group. His favorite gun is the M16, the same rifle he used in 'nam. Why this is a Hero? He's fought in Vietnam and he's fighting a massive horde of undead with 3 other random people he just met, and he's beating them! Bill is a Hero because he Sacrificed himself for the greater good of his new friends. No matter what, they kept on going.

6. Jim Raynor (StarCraft)

Jim Raynor, a protagonist from the StarCraft series, he fights for what's right, and even vowing to kill his former love, Kerrigan. He is truly the concept of the greater good and willing to put it all on the line to save others. He is extremely skilled and will gladly fight beside you in a sticky situation.

5. Dante (Devil may Cry)

DO I really need to explain this one? ugh fine, Dante is a Devil hunter who has dedicated his life to exterminate Demons, He's a snappy and a "witty" (by that i mean: Cocky, Sarcastic, and confident) character before he beats the demons to bits! and ladies got something to look at too, since he's often wearing jacket open with no shirt!

4. Isaac Clarke (Dead Space)

How Isaac Clarke manage to survive all the horror he's been through, i have no idea. He just wanted to find his girlfriend on a desolate mining ship, and this is where it gets good; The rig is overrun by aliens. After the first game he gets thrown into an insane asylum, and guess what? yup, you guessed it. More aliens AND insane cultists. Getting his head straight instead of giving up and go insane he keeps fighting against the most... ugh disturbing abominations I've ever seen with such relative ease and a bloody awesome futuristic armor!

3. JC Denton (Deus Ex)

What? you have no idea who it is? oh bloody hell... this might take a while... oh wait hang on, here we go:
JC Denton is a guy who can do things right on the first try, you could call him Sherlock holmes from the future...only... you know that his name is JC Denton and not sh.... oh you get the point! Thanks to nano-augmentations in him that gives him superhuman strength and perception. Is it dangerous? Good, then let him handle it as you lean back and think of what kind of tea he wants.

"Man of few words, aren't you?" The most badass Hero I can think of, opening an inter-dimensional portal by "accident" (I'M LOOKING AT YOU G-MAN!), fending the invasion not only of aliens, but a well-armed government fools. Thanks to Valve, they've made an unique Hero and the most believable designs and story. Freeman have not spoken a single word, nor has he been truly seen. And he saves us all with a crowbar in hand.

Feeling something is amiss? Well I don't! These are the best heroes in my eyes.

Monthly rant: Video games makes us violent.

Sigh... I just... I just... I don't even know where to even start! Different things gets blamed for a genocide/murder/fights. But games, really? Hell I will be honest and say that I highly doubt ANYTHING "creative" like movies, music, shows and games do really make a person violent. If it does, then there is something horribly wrong with that person.

You hear it on the news, media and people who don't really understand it saying: "oh, so you're playing video games" in a voice that sounds like they're looking down on you. Like you're going to be a thug, murderer or anything bad, like you have nothing to live for, nothing to strive for. They make it sound like you're a "lost soul needing salvation from god".

Cut the crap, let's be reasonable now, if anything (or anyone for that matter) is to blame is how narrow minded, easy going, simple humans that can't tell PIXELS from reality. I mean, how can you even think that something like a racing game can promote ill-driving, or even how shooters "promotes" murderers. Doesn't that mean that other games should promote kindness, co-operation, love and that friendship is magic?

Media have claimed that a lot of crimes committed is promoted by video games. The rant video games and Gamers get from playing is (in my opinion) too much, it's like they think that most of the ones who play video games are retarded and can't see the difference between the Real World and a Fictional-graphical-made-world (a fake world, made up by pixels, a lot of them are truly beautiful.)

The stories in the games is really just a story, art if you like to call it. Some more cruel than others, some actually so sugarcoated with love that you don't even know what to do. Some even pretty close to the reality, but with a twist.

Just don't get me started on Religion vs Games. I just don't want to walk into that minefield and... oh heck, here it goes!

Religion Vs Games.

Newest information I got where religion is "attacking" a game is the one where Iranian tournament bans female champions in League of Legends, why?

Because the "Iranian government is enforcing the religious practice of forbidding the exposure of a woman's body other than hands and feet." as they put it nicely on their site.

Another strange thing is: In order to play Annie (a cute little kid who loves to fire on things, accompanied by her bear Tibbers), players must lower their headset volume. (WHAT?!)

Now to the "most violent games" in the early 2000.

Grand Theft Auto III, the most violent game. (2001)

If you remember the drama around GTA III back in 2001-ish, you'll remember how people actually said that this promotes criminal actions and was the most violent game in the world.

GTA III was attacked by mass media outlets for having excessive violence, allowing you (the player) to kill police officers, old women, and just about anyone else in the game. (it was close to the September 11th attack to, so that made it worse).

What people also reacted on was how you could pick up prostitutes and have sex with them (no, you couldn't see them do it, nor hear any "naughty noises"), and you could kill them afterwards to get your money back. This game got banned in Australia, and renewed the studying, debating and decrying the effect of violent media on children and society at large. (WHAT ABOUT BLOODY MOVIES AND BOOKS? sigh... I'm so close to just... give up and just become a hermit!)

Soldier of Fortune (2000)

Truth be told, GTA-III was NOTHING compared to Soldier of fortune which came out the year before that (2000). But it didn't really get the same reaction as GTA did, is it because you're a "soldier for hire" to kill bad guys in Soldier of Fortune?

I was 9 years old back then when I saw those body parts flying around, gore all over the place in this game. Sure it scared the crap out of me, hell I think I had some nightmares at first too.

But sooner or later I understood it was just a game and didn't think of those as living beings (I did already understand that since it's a VIDEO GAME and all, and it was not the "top notch" graphics either). And i know people think of it the same way, that it's a VIDEO GAME, fictional, not real!

But there is one last thing I must agree on, Video games, movies and music (really?) in the wrong hands, by that i mean the ones who really can't tell the difference between it. Is a really dangerous person, it's not the game/movie that does it, it's the persons mind.

I am not a fan of violence, nor do I want to promote it. But the way I look at movies/shows/games is that it's purely fiction and I do understand it's not real. IT'S NOT REAL FOLKS!

The Weekend started 1 day ago and I planned this this week, all about gaming on tablets and phones. Why? You're waiting for a train/bus/plane and got nothing to do. I've been there, you've been there, We've all been there!

Let me start it all with the "story" in tablet/phone games, in the early 90's we didn't have much, I think it was mostly the usual "card"-games digitized into the "small" objects .

BUT WAIT! Tetris was the first game on a phone, and the phone was: Hagenuk MT-2000, year 1994 . Truth be told, you could kill people with the phones back in the days, now we're killing the phones by just touching them! (yes, looking at you IPhone.).

Nokia launched Snake (the best game EVER on phone) on the selected models in 1997. Snake and its variants has since become one of the most-played video games and is found on more than 350 million devices worldwide.

And as the years passed, the phones got more and more advanced and could handle more demanding games.

Now let's get to the games you "need"!

The games I'm recommending is available on all platforms: Ipad/Tablet/Phone (NOTE: often you need the newest OS on phones to make the game works, so some older phones it might not work.) It will be a hard decision to choose which ones to recommend since there is a lot of them out there, especially top 5.

1. Angry Birds "series"

Angry Birds is one of the "Most needed" for tablets and phones, the hours of fun you'll get from throwing the birds into their certain death just because some pigs wanted some egg with their bacon? The story is simple, kill all the pigs and wreak as much havoc as you possible can while you're doing it! Quite addictive game and the other games is really giving you the same good feeling every time!

2. Infinity Blade I and II

All right, I have to add at least one action-genre game and i pick: Infinity blade! The infinity blade is one of the best "hack 'n slash" game I've touched on a tablet/IPad, the story isn't the best but who cares! The way you are attacking and defending yourself is really neat and what annoyed you at the first game is now "fixed/removed" from the sequel. The level system is not the typical kind to get the set amount of XP for your character but by giving XP to your gear. Level up your weapons and armor to get stats like Health, Attack, Block and Magic. A true RPG-Hack and slash. ME LIKES!

3. Minion Rush: Despicable Me

Minion Rush is pretty much the same as Temple Run, but I feel this game is really more fluent and better in pretty much everything as you feel you're actually achieving something. Besides who doesn't love those stupidly funny loyal minions with all their randomness and doubtful clothing.

You can compete against friends to see how can go the furthers (Highscore), buy upgrades and boosts. You have small missions to do while you're running and knocking over those minions on the way gives you combos, so whatever you do, go for them!

4. Triple Town

OK this game is one of the new ones I'm addicted to. It's a puzzle game where you need to build up your town to become a "city", There is all sorts of combination to get to the "higher tier" of items, which the top tier is a floating-castle. Watch out for those bears, they are really an annoying part which you need to figure out what to do with. Combine 3 Bears into a church and combine churches into monastery which then into a chest, which can be combined into a bigger chest!

They give you free turns and a 24 hour timer until it is refilled. Might be the best thing to do for me at least, it's really addicting!

5. XCOM: Enemy Uknown

At the price of 20$ you'll get bang for your buck, hours of gameplay and a lot of planning on how to attack the enemy. Customize your squad from Race, Gender and even looks! You have different classes, weapons and Armor. With all the options you have this is really a game you should try out sooner or later, because you will regret nothing as you see that RPG shot hitting 3-4 aliens and making sure of a great victory!

The story is simple, your team detects an alien movement in the middle of the city and you are there to protect mankind. As you go deeper into the days spent, you will research more about the aliens and their technology to get the upper hand and hopefully; send them home in a body-bag!

Allright! now this is all the games I could gather up as i felt was my "top 5". Think some games are better than others? Feeling some games is not really that impressive or want to see more? Feel free to Comment and I'll look into it!

News: The end of the Microsoft-points era

Yup, you heard me. Don't fret though! Because they will be converting your Microsoft-points into cash! Well... not like your XBox will turn into an armed bandit tossing coins at you, but you get the point.

2 days ago, Microsoft announced that they will be removing the Microsoft-points, they are changing their currency from Microsoft-points to your currency. This process will take a while and will not be released worldwide in one go.

What happens to your points? Thankfully Microsoft announced that they will be converting it into your currency. They also said that the Microsoft-points reedem codes will still work, but redeeming money instead, they also said that there will be no expiration date on them aswell.

So this means you can still buy games with "points", but now they will be called: "money" like in the real world. Neat!

NEWS: Tom Clancy's - The Division

WOOH! I've been drooling on this game since the first time they've "teased" us with the information and the amazing trailer they showed us on E3

But even better news:
Tom Clancy's - The Division is coming to PC, they have been paying attention to their "fans" and others alike.

Tom Clancy's - The division is a game made by Ubisoft, an online based action/rpg game made by the Swedish Massive Entertainment, which is a part of Ubisoft company. With focused co-op and multiplayer game was announced on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. On Gamescom the good news arrived, It will be released on PC.

The Story in Tom Clancy's - The Division is all about how you work as a squad, to maintain order and safety of others in the chaotic city of New York. What happened?

"A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails. Fighting to prevent the fall of society, the agents will find themselves caught up in an epic conspiracy, forced to combat not only the effects of a manmade virus, but also the rising threat of those behind it. Who do we thank for all this?
Thank all who signed the petition to get the game for PC. There was a huge Signing petition on the Internet, straight after they showed us this on E3. The campaign was all about getting this game to PC and not only Console and tablets.

140,000 people supported the cause and they made it. 140,000 people who wanted it for the PC and not letting the console owners have this game for themselves. But we all did it, I signed the petition my self and I know that many of you did it too.

NEWS: DayZ standalone - no longer a release window.

You heard me, DayZ standalone had several times a fixed release date but saw later on that there was no chance they could bring it to the table. After many failures in making it into the Alpha, developer Dean Hall feels bad for it.

But do not fear, they are still planning to finish their work, they just don't want to disappoint their loyal fans.

After he missed several of his own deadlines for releasing the alpha, Dean Hall regrets his mistakes by giving out release dates, he also said that they don't have any release dates internally anymore.

Dean Hall told Polygon, that he and his team are going to finish off the alpha, and once it's done, they will release the alpha. The list is down to a single check box: Networking.

Dean Hall also "rebooted" the game last year. "I took a bunch of massive risks. We realized we needed to redo everything and that didn't go over very well. In December we had nothing to show for it, nothing. it was very, very awful. our worst fears were realized."

Not only that, but in March, in his dark year, he started climbing Mount Everest. A bad timing. A bad timing indeed. But before that, Hall went to the CEO of Bohemia Interactive and told him he had thoughts of canceling the trip. "He told me, 'If you pause your life to work on DayZ, you're going to keep putting off everything,'" Hall said. "I'm glad i ended up doing it, but I still haven't had time to reflect."

"The worst thing we could do would be to release too early. Flat out, that's the stupidest thing we could do. The alpha is going to be riddled with bugs, but the one thing I don't want it to be riddled with is terrible multiplayer, it's a multiplayer game." he concluded in a interview on gamescom.

Now the game is once more almost complete, so close to alpha. But when alpha is done, there will be beta to fix the game even more and finally.... The final game, finished.

Truth be told in my opinion here, I believe that Dean Hall didn't really think how much work there is to make a whole new game, compared to his mod for ARMA II. Atleast he's honest about the troubles he has with the development of the game.

Take your time Dean Hall, your fans will wait for you. as long as you give them what they deserve, they will wait for you.

NEW PLAYABLE CLASS

A new playable class will arrive with the expansion pack: The Crusader, If you remember the paladin from Diablo II, you'll love this guy. The crusader is a holy knight, pretty close to the paladin from Diablo II. Described as "a war machine made human"

NEW LOOT SYSTEM

It's going to be a serious overhaul on the loot system, Blizzard is calling it Loot 2.0. The new system includes "smart drop," which makes it a bigger chance that the items dropped will be tailored to your current class. The massive amount of items dropped will be reduced too, keeping those useless items away from your face.

Not only that! but there will be a new artisan, the Mystic. This artisan will allow players to re-roll affixed stats on items, giving it a chance to create an overall better item.

There is also a new endgame option called "Loot runs," which places you in a randomized dungeons with random monsters. so the goal here is to slay as many monster and loot it as quickly as you can! The paragon system is getting a few changes too, there is no longer any Paragon level cap at all!

Shamely there is no Release date yet on this lovely expansion pack. hopefully we will get more info as the Gamescom goes on.

PayDay 2

All right! here's the deal: Go in, drill the door and get the loot. Simple as that! ...or so you think. What could go wrong in a heist with a mask? Well maybe an army of policemen trying their best to stop you from running away with the money!

Today I'll write about Payday 2, the "successor" of the first game; Payday: The Heist.

It's back, and it's awesome! If you've been missing co-op games like me, you've been waiting for this one for a long time. The Season of games, good Singeplayer or multiplayer alike, is really empty and dry, We are sitting patiently waiting for new games to be released.

Let me tell you about the first game before we go into the sequel.

Payday: The Heist

Payday: The Heist is an FPS "arcade" shooter and it was allright, it had it's few issues but it made it bearable. The only thing that really annoyed me with the game was how hard it was, even the starter missions!

We actually needed to do headshots to save bullets and never spray around for "suppressive fire" (mostly because there was no such thing in the first game). And the massive armies of police men that came, oh god.

Not only that, but there was so few missions and you actually needed to level up to do the other ones since the starter weapons was too weak for you to beat the next level. So it ended up as a grindfest at best. So doing the same Heist over and over again made it really boring at the end.

But then again! I had a blast playing this game with friends, even though we had some hard times on certain missions it felt really rewarding getting that cash at the end.

Let us move on to Payday 2!

Payday 2

Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and chains is back to get more loot!

2 Years later Payday 2 finally came out, and it's bigger and better! The skill system is simpler to handle and to understand than the original one and the inventory is so much nicer!

Payday 2 is pretty much the same, but with better graphic and AI.

It feels more fluent to sneak around and trying to have a stealth mission instead of just shoot your way through and way couple of minutes until the drill is done. There is so many ways to actually encounter a heist, sometimes it can even go to hell and you just need to go all in!

Now let's look at the Skills and Inventory!

INVENTORY

As you can see the inventory is much better and makes it all tidy and clean! You have a tab for every need!

Primary, Secondary, Armor , Equipment, Mask and the desired Character you want to be in your heist

The information about the weapons can be found at the middle right and you can see the difference between the weapons and the visibility on the top. The weapons are pretty much personal taste on what you think is best. And don't even think about using Silencer on weapons if you don't use the Ghost talent: "The Proffesional" which increased the damage you do with Silenced guns. (It's allright to do on normal/hard-ish missions, but later on, no... just no)

SKILLS

The skill list hast been made so much easier than the previous game so you wont even be in doubt on what thing does, the description is at the right side and is pretty much telling you what skills does and what happens if you "ace" them (Upgrading it).

You have 4 different "classes":

Mastermind (Medic/hostage dude, skills on pistol)

Enforcer (Tanky dude with skills on Shotgun. can use a SAW!)

Technician (My favorite, Boosting the drill and can put down sentries and Trip mines) Ghost (the sneaky type, gets increased damage on silenced weapons and reduced fall damage)

You also have "TIER" bonuses which is gained when the desired amount of skill points used in that skill tree, it's hard to see right away, but it's the bar between the tier 1-5 and the skill points needed. AKA 1|01 - 6|40 bar. So in other words it means that you need 40 points spent in one class to get all the Tier bonuses for that class.

Gameplay

At first the "server list" (called Crime.net) looks quite chaotic and messy, but the filter is there for a reason (top right corner if you cant see it). The Filter can easily be fixed so you can either see worldwide, Close or Friends only. I'd recommend sticking it to Close if you're not planning to play with friends only.

Although i do recommend playing this game with only friends, you might get lucky and get good random players that communicate and teamwork, just don't rely on it.

Hosting a game can be a pain at times too, because you first need to find a good Mission you wanna do. if you look at the picture you'll see 2 white "text bubbles" which is the missions you can host, and the circle in it is a timer before it disappear.

The difficulty is from Normal to Pro Job.

You also have Overkill which is pretty much what it says, It's an overkill of enemies and they wont stop coming... maybe for a 2 minute break or so before hell breaks loose again!

The mission I've found the most fun and rewarding is the Bank Job, a medium sized bank with gives you a lot of cash and challenges at times.

If you don't pay attention to all the entrances/exits you will have a hard time since they will be going in everywhere, they are like an army of ARMED zombies!

The nice thing about this game compared to it's first is all the interactions you can do, If you need to get a door open, Either Pick lock/drill/saw/C4 it and you're in! (depends on the door though)

Having problems with snipers or people shooting you from the other side of the street? No problem! just Barricade the windows with planks you find randomly stashed around, makes the police assault much easier to handle.

Now then! I will not make a guide about how to solve the missions stealthy or head on, because I don't even have a clue myself right now, I usually just go head on and force them all down to the floor and drilling as fast as I can. AND fending off the cops while i do it! (DON'T FORGET TO GET THEM HOSTAGES ZIPPED!)

The only thing i need now is a Unicorn so I can ride myself into battle! Why?

Because this game is pretty much as unrealistic as you can get when it comes to Bank heist etc. I mean, A full combined tactical west and people don't find that suspicious right away? And how they send in the whole country after you because of a tiny bank with around 500K dollars?

Nevertheless! I love this game because of the arcade type and the required cooperation and communication with your fellow players to actually do good in this game.

This time I'll be talking about a game called The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot (or TMQFEL in short, try saying that 3 times in a row!) which is in closed beta and under development by Ubisoft.
So it's time to grab your Sword/crossbow/staff and get looting!

"The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a brand new Free-to-Play IP from Ubisoft Montreal for the PC that thrusts you in an outrageous medieval fantasy world called Opulencia where wealth, status and showboating are the name of the game!

As a newcomer to Opulencia, you will hack n slash your way through hundreds of castles designed by the ingenious minds of your fellow players! Don’t forget to show them who’s boss by constructing deadly keep of your very own – in this kingdom, size really does matter!"

What makes this game different from other games? This game is mostly a "casual game" which makes it pretty much suitable for everyone, from hardcore to casual gamers!

Let's go deeper into this game and see what we get.

The "Heroes"

You have 3 classes to choose from; Knight, Mage and Archer, and the gameplay is different for each of them.

The Archer

"With just one application of his signature one-eyed scowl, Blackeye Bowgart can make even an innocent bunny rabbit want to rethink his life decisions."

The Archer has a hawk for companion and is really a neat little thing, but the cooldowns on the skills for it is just too long at the start. Archers other skills is leaving traps to heatshotting the enemies from afar, it takes some time to get used to the Archer, therefore I would rather recommend the Knight.

Oh and you might want to think about your strategy when you dive into enemy's castle. atleast have 1 stun/slow skill so it can actually save you from danger! The Archer has so much to give but it takes time to learn. Caltrops or Beartrap it's all up to you.

The Knight

"As a one-man media empire, Sir Edrick Painhammer has never met an endorsement deal he didn’t like."

The knight is one of the "heroes" (or "villain" if you want) that I would really recommend starting with, he's easy to control and the skill are really helping you a long way in those tight corners. He can wield axes, hammers, swords and polearms.

I'd recommend you to get (once again) 1 stun skill and get some AoE! You really dont need the "cleave" skill on this guy since he has kind of a passive cleave on his auto-attack.

Then again, the Knight has the most fluent controls so far that I've tried of the heroes, No stuttering on the skills or movement (compared to the Archer at times)

The Mage

"Based on pure theoretical ability alone, the Earl Of Evilosity may be the absolute worst mad scientist in this or any kingdom."

The Mage is using various spells (DUH) from big aoe firespells to death and fear! To be honest I haven't unlocked this hero yet, so my knowledge ain't the best on this one.

As far as i've seen the mages attacking my castle, they are using alot of movement and aoe spells. pretty much obliterating everything in their path, I still wait for my mage to arrive and wreak havoc!

Gameplay

I love this part, you can invade player's castles to gain more gold and power for your own good! it's everyman for him self to get to the top and be the ultimate looter!

Invite your friends to your castle and see them die in at least 7 different ways simultaneously!

LOOTING:

The gameplay is pretty much all about looting your friends and enemy's castle for gold and crystals! how to do it?

Just knock on their door and kill everything that stops you from reaching that sweet sweet pile of gold in the heart of the castle! oh did i forget mentioning the gear the defending monsters may drop? my bad!

Oh and first of all, you will start against "NPC castles", which makes it really nice for you to farm your gold and crystals at the beginning and of course, hoping for the good loot to drop which could help you further into the mighty quest for epic loot! (see what I did there?)

Having the first runs in randoms castles might be a hard time since they probably have some cyclops defending their castle, which is a pain in the long run. Therefore you could try to go for a risky run and dive deep, chug them potions and hope for the best!

Or... you can just go safe and slow, take the easy ones until you feel you can handle tougher enemies.

REMEMBER THOSE POTIONS!

Leveling system (for me) feels static, you don't have much choice on what skills to level up. The skills are fixed levels and so it the upgraded versions of it. It's not bad, but not really good either in my eyes.

DEFENSE:

Now this is where you build your castle, make it look superbly awesome or just damn annoying and time consuming for the invaders who tries to get your loot!

At start you just need to get used to invaders managing to get into your castle heart and loot a part of your gold every now and then. Do not loose hope! the time for being the greatest castle designer is now!

Build rooms, "stations", traps, make a chain reaction pull on monsters when invaders go into your castle and having no clue! Place clusters of monster and even a BOSS in the boss-room into the deepest part of your castle. Make sure that the enemy wont have a chance to loot it!

You will get money for every invader defeated and even "crowns" which is basically a small part of a "ranking" system on how well you're doing.

About the "station" part: What I'm trying to say is that you have 8 different stations in the boss room. This is where you buy potions, armor, weapons and accessories. Upgrading and hire new heroes and monsters. Upgrading and building trap. Hire workers.... I think you know what i mean, it's pretty much a good ol' "castle defense" theme.

This had to come, I just knew it. MOBA is a popular genre in the gaming world and League of Legends is the most popular so far. I will not make this post about "how to play Blitzcrank like a pro" or something like that, but I will rather just... Tell you about this game and its... ugh... community.

History

Well then! League of Legends or LoL for short is a MOBA game made by RIOT GAMES.
Founded in 2006 by gamers Brandon "Ryze" Beck, and Marc "Tryndamere" Merril with the goal of being a player-focused game development studio. The company launched its debut title League of Legends in October 2009. On May 1, 2012, Riot Games announced its Season 2 Championship with a $2,000,000 prize pool.

Some of their notable employees include Steve "Guinsoo" Feak, a former developer of the Warcraft 3 custom map Defense of the Ancients (Dota in short) and Steve "Pendragon" Mescon, creator of the Defense of the Ancient fan site, DotA-Allstars.com. Riot Games also employs about a dozen former Blizzard developers, including tom Cadwell.

Game Modes:

You have 3 different game modes:

Classic: This is the classic League of Legends Gamemode, you work with your allies (5v5 or 3v3) to siege the enemy base and destroy their Nexus. Average game length is 30-45 minutes. And this is the Ranked matches too. You can choose from Blind pick or Draft pick on Normal type.

Dominion: Seize capture points and declare dominion over your enemies, average Game length is 15-25 minutes. Some champions and items have been tuned for this map.

ARAM: Fight as a team of random champions to destroy the enemy Nexus, this is all in one lane. Average game length is 20-30 minutes.

Community

A release they've published in November 2012, Riot Games claimed that LoL had accumulated 32.5 Million players, which is a high number for a game, even for a Free to play! apparently 11.5 million plays monthly and 4.2 millions play daily.

In March 2012, League of Legends became the #1 title in Korean PC Cafes. In Taiwan, it's estimated that almost 5 percent of their entire population played the game, with almost 1 million players subscribed to the server.

Dedicated players and Riot Games staff often meet at tournaments and all Riot staff are encouraged to post in the League of Legends forums, a policy that helps company employees maintain strong connections with the community. At tournaments, panels are held by the staff and memorabilia is handed to reward the company's most loyal fans for their support.

You can find a lot of people streaming this game on Twitch.tv, Justin.tv and other streaming sites as well. This gives an amount of different skilled players which can motivate or inspire others to learn from their mistakes and when they are doing good.

But then again.... League of Legends community is mostly filled with "utter shits" that is either Verbally abusing, Offensive language, intentionally feeding, trolling or just Ragequits. The problem is the way it's free to play and the community, it's too big and it's easy to just make a new account if you feel like being in the "trolling" mood. The average age on LoL I would say is around 17-18, but then again I'm not sure at all. Mostly I would say it's down to 14-15 because of the... yes, bad grammar and "your mom" insults.

Gaming experience

I'll be damn honest, don't play this game alone. Sure you can play a match or two but in the end you will just get frustrated over how your team-mates dive into towers or the enemy team and blames you for it. Even when he's the stupid one who really just... think he can take the whole team.

Playing with friends is much more fun, you communicate with them, planning how to counter a certain champion and ganking. Even if you want to play just for fun, it's easier with friends.

Champions

You have a bunch of different champions, so there must be at least one that fits your wish.

From: assassin, carry, fighter, jungler, mage, melee, pusher, ranged, stealth, support and tank. they all act differently.

Like me, I like to play Support most of the time, but can also go Mid.

So my favorite champs so far is:

Thresh

Mostly because he is a great support that can save lives with his lantern, but he also works as an ADC (attack damage Carry) with his passive buff.

He is a fun champion to play when you want to go support or ADC. Grabbing those souls gives Thresh Armor and AP (Ability Power) which makes him a "tanky support/Adc" and the skin for him is just awesome!

Veigar

Veigar makes AP (Ability power) champions tremble, he might be tiny but his fury is bigger than anyone.

And The "Superb villain Veigar" is just too awesome to let it slip by.

His Baleful strike is the best spell he can have, if a unit is killed with the spell, he gains AP permanently, which is Veigar's main Stat. You can easily get up to 700-1000 AP in a long match.

Veigars ulti (Primordial Burst) is what makes everyone who goes AP fear him. Because that spell will do a large base amount of magic damage plus 80% of the target's AP.

Blitzcrank

Blitzcrank is a Melee initiator which means that he is the one who is starting a fight by grabbing the enemy champion with his Rocket Grab and knocks them up with a different spell for a brief time.

Blitzcrank can pull people through wall which can be gamechanging often and his ulti got a silence and it's just 30 second cooldown. which makes him a defender or a pusher on minions later in the game.

I wont go deeper into this game other than it's an MOBA, tournament game with a grand prize! So if you really like this game and want to perfect yourself into it, get your summoner (account) to level 30 and get in ranked! which is mostly where the fun begins and you'll see how competitive you are!

This is Free to play and the only thing you can buy for cash is skins and champions (but you can buy champions for IP, which you earn by doing matches.)

Holy crap it's been a while since I've written anything on this blog, once again it's that sun and the beautiful weather we get here in the cold north on the planet Earth. So I haven't really gotten the time to sit down and try out new games and write about them.

Nevertheless! I finally got myself some time to sit down and actually try out a game I've been paying attention to (but also went under my radar for a while), it's called Cube World.
(And of course because of a friend who told me to get it, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!)

Cube World

What is Cube World?

Well this is why I'm sitting here! I'm here to tell you about the game itself and the store behind it.

Behind the scene:

"Cube World is created by a man named Wollay, he started making the game in June 2011 as a hobby project. You can clearly see it's inspired by Minecraft, but not so fast! Wollay also says that he's inspired by Zelda, Secret of Mana, Monster hunter, Diablo, World of Warcraft and many more. His aim was to create an infinite, colorful, procedurally generated world, full of adventures, monsters, and mysteries. The result is Cube World, a voxel-based role-playing Game.

His wife joined development in 2012, and they have released an alpha version for Windows. The alpha already has many features, but it's not quite there yet! They are planning to do regular updates. (updates are free).

The alpha version will be available for a lower price than beta and final Version. "(Just like minecraft did!) so this is one of the reasons you need to actually try it out.

Overview:

But what is so special about cube world that you can't get in a different game?

There is a lot of things that is pros's and con's for this game, but the whole voxel graphics is actually giving the design a charm. it really feels like you do play an old game with advanced combinations.

Let me just put in the info about this game on multiplayer, it's more than 4 players! so grab your gang and start playing! if not, well just sit alone in the singleplayer (your character is saved on your computer so you can join in with that one to a multiplayer server!)

There is different biomes (aka Landscape) that is waiting for your exploration! You have Greenlands, Snowlands, Deserts, Jungles, Lava Lands, Oceans, And more planned. Such as Savannahs, Undead Lands, Swamp Lands and Mushroom Lands.
Maybe they will add even more after that!

Every Landscape got their own "daily quests" (for now it's just dungeon running and huge boss fights) which resets every Cube World Day, but you can also reset the day yourself, just by talking to an innkeeper in any Town.

Races And classes

Before we go into the Character Creation i could just throw in the playable races right now, From left to right!
Elf, Human, Goblin, Lizardmen, Dwarf, Orc, Frogmen and undead

So far the classes are: Warrior, Ranger, Wizard and Rogue. Every class have 2 talent trees, there is not a big difference in it (yet) but could be game changing in combat!

Character Creation

Character creation is a pretty simple one (not really surprised to think of this is a voxel-based game, the details are limited, Not a bad thing though!)

You have the race, Gender, class, face, haircut and hair color.
Frogmen and lizardmen are the ones who cant really change "hair", but eyes and other.

Other than that there is barely anything else to mention in the character creation, it's simple and punctual, I like it!

Adventure Skills:

Being an exploration RPG, an important focus of Cube World is exploration and adventure. In Cube World, players are equipped with a set of skills that a true adventurer needs:

Climbing allows players to ascend the highest rocks and reach the deepest abyss.

Swimming through rivers, lakes and oceans is routine for a Cube World adventurer.

Diving to the ground of a lake or exploring underwater caves is also possible.

Hang gliding from a mountain right into a lush valley is a common task in Cube World.

Sailing enables ocean explorers to travel quickly from one island to another.

Towns:

Every Biome (Landscape) got their own town, on this picture you can see the spawn town, you usually start pretty close to it. When you open your map, you can see that most of the map is not explored but you can see where there is Events/Quests (crossed swords) and the town in the Landscape you're in.

Events/Quests:

Right now as it is in alpha, the only thing they have is the Dungeons, Overworld Dungeons and Boss monster roaming the land. Completing those missions will reward you with valuable items and tokens. The tokens are used to upgrading your items, for an example: You love your look on the sword you've gotten since you were lvl 4 and do not want to throw it away, you can easily just upgrade it to your level but the price will increase greatly the bigger the level differences.

What can you find in the town?

So far the town is sorted into 4 districts: Crafting, Trade, Pet and Adventure district.

Crafting District:

here you can find the crafting benches for the desirable profession. You need the correct level to learn the recipes which can drop from mobs and bought in the general store.

Trade District:

Is where you will find most of the shops: Weapon Smith (Sword icon), Armorsmith (Chestpiece icon), General Goods (Bag icon) and the identifier (Magnifying Glass Icon).

Weapon and Armorsmith doesn't usually sell interesting items but it's a neat place for beginners to get what they need after a time out in the field.

General Goods sell items like: crafting, potions, pet food, recipe and bombs, if you're lucky though, you can get the legendary iron lamp which lights up the place quite good!

Adventure District:

In this district you can go and respec your character if you are not pleased in how it turned out. They are all located in each of their respected areas, like the rangers is on a shooting range and the wizard is in a... tower ish.

As you can see on this screenshot which shows you the skill tree for Warrior. Which I can easily change if there is something I don't like, so I can sacrifice certain points to get something else. Just Remember this will cost coins to do so.

Pet District:
Here you can find different "starter" pets which can help you a long way, the pets will gain your level when tamed, so watch out if you want to tame one to use on your alt, because that means you need to wait until that level.

(thankfully you can throw out items you have on your main, then come back with your alt and pick it up!)

Pets

Pet's in Cube world is a big thing, you can tame almost every pet there is! Some are even hard to come by. (and they are going to add RARE pets too!)
Pets aren't only for fast travelling, you can have them for combat as well so far we got tank pets, ranged pets and melee pets.

They have levels and stamina. Level increases their damage and health. stamina is used when you ride them, when the stamina is empty they can't be ridden. But don't fret! you can replenish the stamina by going into the water and let them have a sip!

This concludes today's indiegame: Cube world. I do highly recommend this to friends and alike, because this is a fun game to chill with! Remember: You can play with friends too! and they are testing MMO sized servers

Monthly Rant: Behavior in Games

We've all seen them, we've all tried to reason with them (at least I did because I thought people aren't complete full retard and would be able to kill themselves by doing something stupid, I was so wrong...) But no matter what, they will just keep on trolling, being a douche and just ruining every one's fun, where's the fun in that?

You have alot of different bastards; Hackers, giefers, forum trolls, douches, idiots who just want to have right no fucking what, ones who want the last word etc. the list goes on...

Trolling

The past years I have seen a huge increase in trolling, no matter what the game, you will always find a douche, I get that.... but lately I've seen just more and more of them and it seems like it's a "popular" thing to do, making others feel miserable.

Before I continue I will clarify that I am NOT a nice player when the person is doing something wrong over and over again even though I have tried to help that certain player so many times, or using a lame weapon etc.

Anyways... back to the trolling and douchebaggery, Yes you're using your own bloody time making fun of others, But you are also using their time too. So stop being so self-sentered and think that it's all about you! (yes, you!) let's take Hacking for an example, you're wasting your and others time by hacking games, What's so fun spending REAL money to buy a game, then hack the shit out of it and get banned, then rinse and repeat. Why not just play it as you should and have fun with friends? Misery loves company, and the only reason i see people want to cheat is to see other angry and sad. Sooner or later that will bite the person in the ass and bad things will happen, I hope it's happening soon though!

Different games gives different results?
Not quite correct, alot of "free to play" games bring so many trolls into their world because of the easy and free game. FPS brings aggressive players and that will automatically gives them a quick angry rage for a moment (or continuously if they are so stubborn to be on that server or whatnot). MOBA brings it the same, mostly because it's about competition and winning. Strategy, not so much

But never, never, NEVER enter a F2P game alone if you're easily offended. That will be a suicide trip for you and you alone, the amount of trolls that lies within that border is infinite. No matter what you do, every corner has atleast one troll and four hackers. Because it's Free to play, so they have nothing to lose!

In alot of games, players do start to harrash a certain player or group (less likely), Making them loosing concentration and even just making them feel bad to ragequit from the server. In the worst case scenario: They will start stalking you, no matter what you do they will find you on every game or server, they will give you a "lesson" to not "mess with da bois in da hood!". I'm speaking of experience here.

My Experience of "worst case" of trolling

In BF3 there were 2 doucheheaded-son-of-a-b... who I played alot with, I had some fun too but after each bug or glitch that got revealed in the game of Battlefield 3, they abused it, and they abused it good. Remember the MAV bug? yeah, they just played with MAVS. They even got onto building and bridges with the help of the MAV and shot into spawn, even on servers not allowed to do so.
M26-dart? 14K kills with it... They were utter douches, in my eyes a bunch of miserable insecure idiots who is trying their best to be cool and be the best.

So what happened was I was tired of their bullshit and told them that I have no interest in playing with "baseraping-glitch-abusive-no-skilled sons of b..." and i told them to at least try to play the game how it is meant to be played. that pissed them off, oh god I have never heard so mad kids being so furious because of someone is telling them to play the game how it should, and stop shooting into the main base aka "baseraping". Apparently they have never baseraped, Tell that to my face that has marks after Tank shells, M320, M26-Dart, M98B and so on.

They stalked me for several months, i could barely get any peace when i was playing, because they always joined my server, always getting on the opposite team, trying to prove a point.

Yes point taken, you're a bunch of idiots who feel that I'm so challenging that you need to be 2 guys to beat me, and need to beat me to feel good, I'm honored, really.

Best part was when they started doing that on a server I finally became admin on, The banhammer got there so quick they started crying to the other admins on that server. But they would not leave me alone until one day, my best friend made a stop to this, because apparently, when he talked, said exactly the same fucking thing as i did, they listened.

Once again, I do appreciate what you did J. Thanks.

Why not just ignore them?

Troll tries their best to get attention they don't get from their parents/siblings/friends. And when they respond to you in the most stupidest way, you're not sure if they are just that stupid or troll, and there's the bait. Now they just need a poor soul that doesn't know better to eat it and the fight begins..

Some trolls get bored quite easily if you are reasonable and don't give up, keep it simple and try not to answer rude. Sounds easy doesn't it? oh it's not. I'm not talking about those who are telling you that they slept with your mom, apparently the whole Internet have done that.... teenagers, they are so cute!
I'm talking about those who just say things like "this is op, that is op, you are hacker, change weapon noob" etc. first of all, if you have a good weapon or something, it's not your fault but the game. but one way to shut one up is to change the weapon and beat the crap out of him.

Then again, the best ting to do is; just... don't give a fuck.

Going Deeper: Warframe

Allright, let's dive deeper into how warframe works, and today I figured i wanted to show more about how to fuse mods and "upgrading" your Warframe and/or Weapons. I will be making a small guide on how it works and how to save some "credits" on it too!

WARFRAME

Each and every Mod, Weapon and Warframe have Polarities, as you can see on the picture above, it explains on how most of it works on the Warframe and Weapons. The Points will increase to a maximum of 60 (If you have a Reactor in your Warframe), And each Mod will cost Points to Apply. All of your Skills on the Warframe will ALWAYS match. Which means in this case; Sonar, Sound Quake, Silence (Not on the picture) and Sonic Boom will cost 50% less if it's in correct Socket.

Socketing mods with correct polarities can be a hassle at times, and often you find yourself needing to put it into places where it doesn't even belong, which will cost you greatly, but what is needed, is needed!

I've Circled around the Polarities and the points needed to apply them so you can see the difference. The Polarities (top right corner of each card) gets a blue/cyan-ish colour when it's socketed in the correct Polarity and thus decreasing the cost of it.

But when the Socket is in the incorrect polarity, it gets a Red colour which increases the cost for it, in this case it increases the cost for "Redirection" Mod by 25%. so watch out for that when you're choosing skills for your Warframe.

Before we go into Fusion I must say that Modding your Warframe and Weapons are exactly the same, every weapon have at least 1 polarity, but after Update 8 in Warframe, you can Polarize (upgrade) your Weapons and Warframe, which means you can add an additional Polarity to the weapon, and thus reducing the skill cost for certain mods (THIS WILL RESET THE RANK/LEVEL ON THE WARFRAME/WEAPON!). So choose wisely!

FUSION

At first, Fusion can look complicated and messy. But this is why I'm digging into this to let others understand it more easily and learn how to "efficiently" upgrade the mods.
As you can see on the picture above, i have a lot of "Duplicates", Marathon, Piercing hit, Freeze etc. At first they just look like they're just clogging up your inventory, but you have several things you can do with them.

Upgrading one mod by using Duplicates (I.E. Using the same mod to upgrade.) this is really cheap and efficient up to level 2-3 of the card, later on you will get mods which is called "Fusion Cores". Watch out, they are expensive to use!
Upgrading the Mods by using the "Fusion Cores", It might be hell of a ride to the top, but it's sure expensive!
Sell the duplicates, you get 200-1000 credits per mod (depending on the rarity)

I cant say this enough:
The polarity works just like a gem in the correct socket; bonus!

By that i mean if you socket it in the correct Polarity, it will Reduce the cost by 50%! which is in this case it will make the Trick Mag cost down to 1 instead of 2, and trust me, you WANT to socket it later on, when you get mods that requires 12 points.

Getting the ammo and magazine maximum mods is a must on weapons, without ammo, how the hell are you going to shoot and level up your weapons?!

Last but not least, let me just tell you where to get mods the "best way" in my opinion; Defense Mission. Do them with randoms, do them with friends but for the love of god. DON'T solo it. It's hard and not that rewarding since mods and Materials drops more often with players AND the higher level the Wave is.
...and it gets harder for each wave.

Today's Free To Play: Warframe!

All right! first things first, I haven't posted a lot these weeks, might be the utter feeling from the spring with the magic called "sunlight" and "heat". It has cursed me with the will of going outside to just look... at things! and relax!

Since it's raining and having a bad weather all over the place, I might just start "review" my new games!
I've been talking about Don't Starve, Neverwinter and XCOM: Enemy unknown, sooner or later I'll be talking about them and the pros n' cons for it!

But Today! WARFRAME!

Short summary, I have been playing Warframe for 3-4 months ago, I played it to death! but now with so many updates, with so many new maps. The Warframe Talents is also overhauled, it feels like a new game. So I wanted to give it another shot (I DO LOVE THIS GAME!)

Warframe is a Third person Shooter, that aspects into the co-op part, where more IS merrier. Although you can only have 4 people in a game, but it's way better to have 4 people than none! For every player in your game it increases the drops on mods and materials, increasing the gameplay big time when you're having fun with all the drops, from Mods to materials.

It's in Open Beta and in update 7 as we speak, which means new Warframes and finally the Optional Reset.
Which is the update I've been waiting for the most, why? because of the optional reset I can finally reset my account and get back my platinum and start all over again, getting the gear I need, not the ones I want.

I bought the Hunter founder package (50$) that gives me 1220 platinum (real money), Forum founders badge (ooh shiny!) and Excalibur Prime Warframe, which gives me more than just 1 when I start.

GAMEPLAY
Let me get this straight for you guys, this is a third person shooter, with Parkour and sliding!
The Lore: Setting is far into the future and Warframe is an evolved Human Ninja with what could feel like Alien technology, but is really just damn advanced Human technology.

"They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins.

Now they are needed once more.

The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.

Allow the Lotus to guide you. She has rescued you from your cryostasis chamber and given you a chance to survive. The Grineer will find you; you must be prepared. The Lotus will teach you the ways of the Warframes and the secrets to unlocking their powers.

Come Tenno, you must join the war."

As the Lotus guides you, you will learn the basics of the game, how the map and skills works. She's a handy guide, but not so handy if you've reinstalled the game or resetted your account. because she will go through the tutorial with you, again!

SOLAR SYSTEM

You will start in our solar system, which is filled with Grineers and others, you need to cleanse this system, and kill everything.

The map is quite good, You can look through all 13 planets (12 since Pluto ain't a planet!)

and each planet has its own level requirement and gamemodes (all planets have different gamemodes but yeah).

PLANET - MERCURY

Your first planet is Mercury, which will be the slowest and the most "boring" parts, mostly because it feels like the whole planet is a tutorial zone with not so dangerous mobs and lack of things to do.

So be sure to try out OTHER planets before you make up your mind. How to get to another planet? follow the line!

MODS AND FUSION

Mods drop randomly from mission to mission, sometimes they can even be given from alert missions with random reward.

As you can see on the picture above, These are Excalibur Prime's skills; Slash Dash, Radial Blur, Super Jump And Radial Javelin.

In the top right corner of each "card" is a Symbol, a socket if you wish.

As you can see the Slash Dash, Vitality and Radial Javelin has a teal mark in the upper right corner, but the Steel Fiber does not.

This socket will make it cost less "mod space" if socketed in the correct space.

Each of the skills can be upgraded, but the higher level it is, the most it will cost to wield it.

If you find a Skill you want for your Warframe but you want to upgrade it (in this scenario the "Quick Rest" skill) you need to fuse different items together, this can be: Random skills, infusion cores or the best and cheapest way; fuse two of the same skills.

The "Quick Rest" skills gives +30% Stamina Recharge on level one, but if we upgrade it to level 2, you get +60% Stamina Recharge. I will guess that you get 30% for each upgrade, up to max level that gives total of 180% Stamina Recharge.

When left bar of the card is full, it will gain a level, which is marked with a white box next to it (on the blue frame) and will then increase it's costs to wield atleast by 1.

If you're pleased with the upgrade, just click "Apply fusion" and pay the price, (which WILL vary! so watch out for those sneaky expensive prices!)

P.S. Fusion works exactly the same on weapons too!

THE STORE
Free to play games have to survive, and Warframe chooses the correct way; Buy stuff with the platinum so you can get it right away rather than spending several hours/days crafting them.

Bundles
It's pretty much a package of the selected Warframe with extra stuff to make it whole, Not really needed but a nice thing to do to your favorite Warframe. Including colour package!

Warframes
Here's the magic! Here you can buy the Completed Warframes for Platinum or buy the blueprints for credit

Weapons
This has to be the most important shop page in this game, this is where you get your Primary, secondary and Melee weapon. Either by Platinum or getting the blueprints for credits.

Equipment
Too many enemies to kill but not enough Ammo? Here you can buy ammo you can use in missions. Thankfully most of the items here costs credit instead of platinum (that benefits in combat. Not really counting the colours to be any good while killing things!)
The helmets also have some stat changes

And the last one is "Get Platinum": buying platinum for real money.

INVENTORY

There is no "pay to win", but I have to tell you about your inventory slot.
As you can see on the picture above, You start with 3 Warframe Slots and 11 weapon slots. To increase that you need to use Platinum: 20 platinum for 1 Warframe slot and 12 platinum for 2 weapon slots

The misc items is pretty much where your Blueprints, Materials, Ammo and Health will be stored.

FOUNDRY

The Foundry is where you will be making your weapons and warframes, this is where the blueprints that drops from bosses or the ones you're buying from the market will go.
It will take time to make them so you can just continue farming while you're crafting!

Warframes requires 4 blueprints; Helmet, Chassis, Systems and the selected Warframe blueprint.

Different planets drop different materials, So be sure to check out the Wikipedia or guide on steam to find out which one is the best way to get the materials for the items you're going to craft!

The same goes for bosses, they drop different materials AND blueprints for Warframes.

I could Write SO much more of this but that will be for later on!

Sigh... well it's been a while since i've written on this blog now, but i'm trying my best! Hell i've even tried out several new games!

I will try to write about them and my first impression of them as i go by, and maybe you'll get lucky with some in-game Screenshots! so we dont get any Bullshots (sell off screenshot that is completely bullshit, not even remotely close to the gameplay at all).

Don't Starve
A lovely made game with the aspect of something quite simple: Don't starve, Just like in Minecraft, you have to survive the envorvirement and make sure you have food, shelter and a way to defend yourself from the dark evil thinks lurking about.

Neverwinter
Yes it's a part of the Forgotten realms world, and it's one of the good ones out there of MMO, you can say whatever you want about DDO, but in my eyes, Neverwinter is way better.
The creators is the "Cryptic", which has done Star Trek online and other games for 'Perfect world''

XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Holy crap, i regret not getting this game when it came out, I played the first game in the 90's and had a blast, And i didnt even understand a thing i did! but thanks to my cusin, he taught me most of it when we played it! It's a Turn based Strategy games which involves researching, requiting soldiers and interrogate Aliens to save the world!

Sooo that's atleast some of the games I will be talking about later on, on how they actually gave me a good value of my money (wait... Neverwinter is free! oh well, you get my point!) and the joy i've had and having with the games.

Voice Acting, the Importance of telling a story. Today: Guild Wars 2

We all have that one guy/woman who is really enchanting us to live into the show, Movie and/or game, to make it so real it is possible, to feel we're just there. The feeling about how they tell the story, the voice they have for that certain character. It is all so enchanting to think that certain people can be like that it's... awesome! purely awesome!

Sound is really important to any aspect of the creative world, from music to games.
Let's give an example on good voice actors in games (since this is a blog about games, DUH!)

Long story short of Destiny's Edge:

Destiny's Edge resulted from the merge of two smaller groups, Edge of Steel (Rytlock, Logan and Caithe) and Dragonspawn's Destiny (Eir, Garm, Snaff and Zojja. The group came together in 1319 AE due to Eir's desire to find a group of warriors to defeat the Dragonspawn.

(trying not to spoil anything in the story of them is kinda hard!)

Guild wars 2

Let's make sure you can see this video as you read further down: Guild Wars 2, Giving Tyria a Voice

Original Destiny's Edge members: Caithe, Eir Stegalkin and Garm, Logan thackeray, Rytlock Brimstone, Snaff, Zojja.

Caithe

One of the 12 firstborne Sylvari to emerge from the Pale Tree, Born in 1302 AE. Although they are the closest thing to rulers that exists within the Sylvari race, respect for them comes solely from their wisdom and time spend in the world.

Caithe is unusual in that while most Sylvari are creatures of light, she has never feared "gazing into the darkness" to seek "truths that others fear." it is also said she is the one of only two individuals to have seen Zhaitan (The elder Dragon of Orr) and lived - other being Trahearne.

Kari Wahlgren
Caithe is voiced by Kari Wahlgren Mostly known for her multi voice talents of mature young women, girls, teenaged girls and various female characters including medieval time ones in animes and video games.
A fitting Voice actress for Caithe if i could say so myself, she enchants the ones listening and tells you her race is young but rich on wisdom.

Eir Stelgalkin and Garm (voff!)

She is a wandering Norn ranger, tactician, artist, and visionary who travels the wolf companion, Garm.
Eir was once the leader of Destiny's Edge and is well kown and respected because of this. However, the breaking of the company and her lack of heroic deeds since then have garnered negative opinions from some of her people.

Her tactics rely on understanding the mind of her enemy and taking advantage of their weakness through provocation and encouragement. Alos a renowed sculptor of wood and stone, cummuning with the spirit of the wild ot guide and shape her artistry.

Jocelyn Blue

Eir Stegalkin is voiced by Jocelyn Blue (sorry, that's all i could find about the voice actress!). Her voice and the way she speaks makes it sound just like she's a wanderer, more used to animals than human(oids). Logan Thackeray (often known as Logan that'a'way)

Captain Logan Thackeray is a human guardian and the commanding officer of the Seraph at Divinity's Reahc. He was also once a member of the famous adventuring group know as Destiny's Edge.

Logan is torn by his dark past and the great pain he feels in his heart, yet still manages to be more of a hero than he ever thought possible. He is Descended from the Ascalonian heroes Gwen and Keiran Thackeray.

Troy Baker
Logan Thackeray is voiced by Troy Baker. Some or very few of you might know him from the band "Tripp Fontaine" and other projects, Mass effect 3 (Kai Leng (voice) / Multiplayer Announcer (Voice) ). To be honest, Troy and Logan is actually look-alikes, so he fits well into the character. He's a human, acts like a human, and "heroic" as a human for all the "odd reasons" if you ask me.

Rytlock Brimstone
A tribune of the Blood Legion and one of the most prominent charr of the Black Citadel. He is feared by many among the charr due to his status and that he gained it by killing his superiors and taking their titles. He wields Sohothin, the sword previously owned by Prince Rurik.

Rytlock is regarded as "strange" by many other charr as he had voluntarily distanced himself from his warband in separated assignments for unknown reasons. This causes some charr to continue to disregard him even after his various promotion and high standing in Destiny's Edge.

Steve Blum

Rytlock Brimstone is voiced by Steve Blum (holy crap, the most epic voice ever!), He is in so many TV Series, movies and Video games, I cant even mention one because it would be unfair to the others! He is THE voice of Rytlock and THE voice of giant scary death machines/creatures of evilness! HE HAS AN EVIL VOICE, BUT SO AWESOME!

Zojja
A highly respected Asuran elementalist, golemancer and a member of College of Synergetics. She was an extremely skilled apprentice of the famed inventor Snaff, both former members of Destiny's Edge; each (privately) regarded the other as being a Genius.

After Destiny's Edge broke apart, Zojja began to blame Eir for the group's failure and began to venerate Snaff, establishing the Snaff Prize - a competition to present the best projects before the Arcan Council - and protect Snaff's research. She took Snaff's old lab as her own, burying his cremated remains in the floor. She often has a short temper, especially when snaff is mentioned. Her personal golem is Mr. Sparkles.

Felicia Day
Zojja is voiced by Felicia Day She is an excellent violin player, Co-owner with Kim Evey of production company, "Knights of Good Productions", which own shows like "The Guild". She really has the charm to be a short tempered "smarty pants" (no offence!) who actually knows it all and have good self esteem.

All right! These are the "Voices of Tyria". Thanks to them this game has a one of a kind charm and makes the Story-line so interesting, the lore itself is good too, but if you want to read it all it's a huge wall of text at times.

I might keep on going with the "Voice acting, the Importance of telling a story" with other games, maybe even those who really are horrible.

Now then, after we've all cooled off by the heat of the gamer girls post, let us start talking about our preferences when we're playing multiplayer or maybe even singleplayer. In game music or "our" own music?

I started listening to "my own music" when Quake 3 arena was around. erm...mostly because I just had a Metallica CD and a CD player next to it. After a while when computers and OS started to handle things better, I had MP3's on my computer and listened to it through Winamp (god bless that program, one of the best at it time, maybe it still is.)

But now, we all have good enough computers and Internet to listen to music and play/work at the same time, if it's Spotify, Youtube, WIMP or soundcloud doesn't really matter, as long as we can get out sweet sweet music in our life.

Music while playing FPS

besides, who cares when you got a tank?

Music while we do stuff is quite common (we all know that), most of you are probably listening to music while you're reading this. But having music in our ears while we play an FPS must be a down site right, we cant hear the footsteps?!

Yes and no, but there are times were you just want to have a good time while listening to music, but the Footstep sound on BF3 is nothing much to brag about compared to CS and CoD.

In other words, when you're playing BF3, you don't have a downside while listening to music, unless... you really are killing the sound in the game you're playing with music. So of course you do try to balance it.

Music while playing MMO

"Let's see, i need to kill... probably around 20.000 mobs to get what I need, if I'm lucky..."

A grind can feel so boring and one sided, we've all been there, trying to get that awesome looking shoulder or the precursor to a legendary. But with music/movie/show it's more fun. Having no music makes it just a dull thing to do while we're just killing the same mob over and over and.... over again.

Not only that, but the dungeons suddenly seems more fun to do with music, especially when it's a band you love!

Music while playing Racing

Most of the racing games have their own "radio Stations" with good music on, For an example; Burnout: Paradise city has a bunch of good songs, from Rock to "wub wub" (which I like to call it, no mocking at all, seriously!)

Most of them fits well into the world of racing, gives you the "motivation" to do good! and gives you a "good feeling" aswell.

I love the songs in Burnout: Paradise City, so i usually Turn the sound halfway down and cranking the music to the max!

Music while playing RTS

Dont get me wrong, i love the music on SC2 and WC3 but after a while the music can be a bit repetetive so why not listen to some music that is not themed to the game?

Again I would like to say that having to listen to music while playing can "enhance preformance" because you love the music you're listening to, maybe it even makes you wanna go the extra mile?

I'm not a big RTS fan though, and for me most of the RTS is pretty much the same over and over again. NO! don't even try to argue with me, you got your opinion, I got mine and we lived happily ever after since we accept it!

My opinion

Bored of doing the same things over and over again to get Gold/credit? Boring

Having a hard time in a game because you have bad luck or it's too hard? Annoying

Having a blast in a game while listening to music you love? Priceless.

Music makes the gaming so much more fun than it is at times, flying in Battlefield, Grinding in GW2, playing alone in a multiplayer game etc.

So what do you think? Is the music a need for the enjoyment, or is it just a bonus while you're playing the games you love?

Aah yes, I knew this one was coming, yes, yes I did. whatever you say is wrong!

Gamer girls is a rare specie found in the occasional events of Gaming or where the companies introduce new games. Or even on events where you dress up as your favorite protagonist or antagonist or just a.... plant.

But what is a Gamer girl?

Is it:
A) A damn hot babe with Double D's, Brown hair and Green eyes, tight body and moaning gently in the microphone while she tries to explain where to go or how this game works? That made me giggle, seriously!

B) A normal looking type which is well hidden in the Society? which means they are so good at hiding, they don't even flinch when they hear other gamers talk about games?

C) A really unattractive fat girl with a lot of acne's and uncombed hair, freckles and no soul? You can spot them miles away from their odor and looks.

Lately the Gaming industries have blossomed from being for the nerdy ones who could handle a PC back in the days, to any idiot can just sit down, press play and button mash their way to glory. But when did the girls get into gaming?

Since the dawn of videogame time of course! They were just smarter to hide away from the crowd since they're already itemized enough, they didn't want another thing to make them trophied or achievement points. Don't believe me? fine, just be like that and keep on playing whatever you did before you checked yourself in here, maybe you did Ragequit from a LoL, BF3, CoD game? or simply need to read before you start playing?

Anyways, girl Gamers are indeed hot, but not always because of their looks (WHAT?!). surprisingly enough, i feel the more a girl is interested in what i do, the more interesting they are.
You could say the same about anything really; Football, Cars, Tennis, Cheerleading (DUH), Singers, Artists, etc.

But why are Gamer Girls so popular now?
Let's see; Games = Teenagers, Teenagers = Hormones, Hormones = ...yes you know what...
But let's not blame it all on Teenagers, instead blame it on the leeches that want attention and who really needs to actually say that they're "Gaming Chick/girl/woman/teenagergirl92" or whatnot, I mean do we really need to go so far to actually make a big fuzz about Girls play games? We're in 2013 for crying out loud!

Is it because of the breasts? The figure of a woman? The part where the woman apparently should be in the kitchen? sigh... the questions would go on and clog this post and you would never be able to get to my answer.
I'd say that most of the reason why people think "omg a girl playing video games = hot" is mostly because they have the fantasy of a frisky golden retriever.

Being a gamer takes alot of time in your life, just as any "hobby". The difference is, you can do it anywhere, anytime and with anyone. A lot of people even got a job by Reviewing/ Developing/Designing/Playing Games. Which must be a blast!
WRONG. Most of the people who do so actually feel it's a chord and don't get the same enjoyment when they are actually just playing games to relax. I do get them though, If I ever got a "job" as reviewing games, I would just see the flaws and good things and never just sit there and "enjoy it".

Sigh... Wobbling off again.
Gamer Girls are pretty much every girl who play "hardcore", at least 4-6 hours a day (after school/work or alot more if unemployed) and takes passion in the gaming world.

NO! Playing Sims...IS NOT MAKING YOU A GAMER! NOR DOES FACEBOOK GAMES!

The traits are pretty much common sense, just like in any hobby:

Knowledge of the game(s)

Using a lot of "game language" even in the daily use (i.e. I was walking in TB the other day and i saw that a mage wanted 5G for TP to UC and when I asked if we could take 3G and some HC runs with my Gmate he just lol'd and /ignored me)

Have 1 or more franchise from game(s)

and of course:

Knowledge of equipment (which is good and bad in certain games for an example)

OH and chewing on a wired controller with glasses on, dosen't make you a Gamer girl.
Saying CoD is so awesome with the guns and saying random perks, dosen't make you a Gamer girl.
Wearing/using "Popular" equipment like; Razer, Alienware, Logitech etc. Dosen't make you a Gamer girl.

Oh and to you guys out there who will defend these "false" Gamer girls, stop trying to be white knight, you wont get laid by them any time soon anyways. So do us all a favor and actually troll instead, you'd give us a better laugh.

And to the "pure" Gamer girls: RIDE ON! Keep on playing and get that /ignore /block command ready, because a shitstorm of people will try to add/whisper/talk/stalk you when they hear your voice or get the knowledge you're a woman.

The answer on the question earlier is: all of them... I mean c'mon, they are even coloured, manly, girly, nothingly.... They come in all sorts of flavour! So let's just hope we all behave as well!

Excited?

Lately I've been wondering: "Do we get too excited when it comes to new games? or do we have too much expectations from them?"
I mean, just look at Sim City, Far Cry 3, Dead Space 3, Crysis 3, Planetside 2 etc. I feel it was too much hype around it compared to how it actually is. I'm not saying "don't get your hopes up" but when you see all those in game trailers and how it's looking awesomely and everything, I've burned myself so many times on it.

Do we often sit down and just think about game mechanics, balance and overall playability and maybe the replayability as well? Sure, we all got our own taste in genres and how it's done but to see how for an example Diablo III, how the sequel differs from the previous ones so big it's barely recognizable as a world of demon hunters if you might. All I see in Diablo III is auction house and a short story, with too much replaying the same levels over and over again to hope you get some loot you can sell --not for your own character, but for gold-- Which makes it more or less a trading game in my eyes.

Look at Dead Space 3, (To be honest, I haven't finished off the 2 first either, but I've pretty much catched up on the story, thanks youtube!) It's plain shooter, a huge difference from the other 2, where there is a lot of scary shit going on and a lot of "jump scares" during you play. The DLC's are a story for themselves, yes I'm talking about the weapons and extra scavenging bot and make him talk DLC's. Utter useless if you ask me, I pre-ordered the game and got 2 weapons which is ridiculously overpowered at the start, it's like i just want to make a poor gun for the challenge!

(Before I continue I wish to make it clear I'm not saying the games are bad or they "suck so bad i can't even play it" but rather I believe most of us think: "omg omg omg omg a new game, must bloody buy it and play the hell out of it.")

YES I'm aiming at you EA and DICE! Do a bloody good job on this one and learn from your mistakes, don't do a "CoD-ish Singleplayer".
oh wait... just don't let it be alot of cutscenes and "PRESS THIS BUTTON ,QUICKLY!". That really killed my enjoyment. The Co-op was enjoyable but mere 6 missions are just...too few to get all the weapons, it felt too much of a "grind" (doing the missions over and over and...over again). This is an FPS game, not an MMO. And try to add at least 4 people in co-op, so you could play as a squad.

Apparently the Singleplayer will be somewhat better, thanks to Lars Gustavsson. He's been at DICE since the beginning and has worked on almost every battlefield game, so he knows his stuff. FYI: Lars was multiplayer lead on Battlefield 3, and if there is something the game does better than every shooter of this generation, it's online multiplayer. To be honest, the battlelog is one of the best systems I've seen for a multiplayer game. You have Stats, assignments, weapons, Vehicles, Awards Dogtags, loadouts, unlocks and Game activity, while you're looking at those, you can even look after a server to join.
It's lovely how it has turned out, but it is a shame it's on origin and EA is under control.

I've had alot of problems thanks to Origin and the famous "Something went wrong" (...no shit)

Let me just make a small list over the "anticipated games so far this year" or... something.

Anticipated games this year:

Star Citizen - Have you ever wished that you could play an MMO where you can be walking in an actual Spaceship/carrier and just get in your fighter and Defend your friend/guild/clan/community's Ship? well this game sounds really promising and so far so good. The Kickstarted hoped for "mere" $500,000, but got $2,134,374 instead. And thanks to the loyal fans and founders, They want it to make it the best for you, yes YOU!

ARMA III - Has to be the best Military simulator there is, you can find alot of videos of clans having a fight for hours. The aiming on Arma II was horrible though ,but everything else felt realistic when it came to bullet drop, how the helicopter flies etc.
Thanks to Arma II, DayZ was born.

DayZ Standalone - It had to happen, the guy who made DayZ mod for Arma II finally got his own crew and funds to make a game he wanted for so long, everyone loves it and so should you! it's a great game to play with friends and to find out who is your true friend... and foe.

The Elder Scrolls Online - From the early 90's game Arena to Skyrim, We've followed the story in the fantasy world Tamriel. Home of the Altmer, Argonian, bosmer, Breton, Dunmer, Imperial, Khajiit, Nords, Orsimer and Redguards, There is so much lore here I can't make it short, oh wait... Dragons! wizards! evil stuff, Political war, WAR! there we go.

Grand Theft Auto V - The graphics are impressive, let's hope the story sticks with it as well, what I fear it's going to be the classical "get to the top from the bottom".
I've played all the games though, and had a fun ride with it, until Saints Row 2 and 3 came out, after that I've just skipped GTA and kept my fingers on Saints Row.

Saints Row 4 - All i could find about the Saints Row 4 is this teaser they put up in March, quick fact, they planned a DLC for SR3 but scrapped it and now is making SR4, now you have superpowers and aliens attack! can it be more humoursly fucked up?

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist - Sam Fisher is the leader of the newly formed Fourth Echelon unit: a clandestine unit that answers to solely to the president of the United States. Sam and his team must hunt down these terrorists by any means necessary, and stop the Blacklist countdown before it reaches zero. (yes, i just copy pasted, not really intersting me this much)

Neverwinter - From the creators of RaiderZ, Torchlight, Torchlight 2, Star Trek Online and other "below the radar" games, they are making Neverwinter. Not Neverwinter nights, but it's in the "Forgotten realms" world, if you pay attention from now on, maybe you can join the open beta for it.

The list could go on and on though, but these are the ones I've managed to put up here are the ones me and some friends are looking for.

Now that would be the Sunday Dinner from my end! and let's hope you all don't get too excited on games that might just be "normal". Hell I could be wrong and they all could Suck so horribly you want a refund.
