Master distributor set to expand Australian market

Atlanta, GA - WhereScape today announed that it has appointed Sydney-based MIP as its master distributor, kicking off a major drive to expand sales, usage and deployment of WhereScape RED across Australia.

Founded fifteen years ago in the U.K, MIP is well known for launching products like Infomatica, Microstrategy, Clementine and Forest & Trees into the Australian market.

The new distributor plans to be highly pro-active in increasing the presence and usage of WhereScape RED across Australia, says CEO Steve Hitchman.

"The market really needs this capability," he says.

"It will save Australian customers huge amounts of time and money, reduce risk, and radically improve the time to market for their data warehousing and business intelligence projects."

WhereScape RED builds data warehouses 10-100 times faster than existing solutions and encapsulates the principles and best practices of data warehousing out of the box.

"These are the things which make data warehouses successful," Steve Hitchman says.

"Traditionally, they have only been available from the brains of specialist data warehouse practitioners. Australian customers can gain significant benefits from using this type of next generation technology. We will generate interest through trade and road shows, seminars and through our relationships with other companies in the data space."

MIP is also building up a WhereScape RED skill base that can be deployed to support any reseller.

"We’re working to grow and deepen the support skill base that’s available to Australian customers and resellers. We’re here to support resellers that have extra support needs of any kind. If a reseller asks us for help, they’ve got it."

WhereScape Signs Technology Agreement with MicroStrategy

Agreement Will Lead to Integration Between WhereScape's Data Warehouse Solution and MicroStrategy's Business Intelligence Software

Atlanta, GA - WhereScape Software, provider of the first lifecycle management software solution specifically designed for data warehouses, announced today a technology agreement with MicroStrategy, a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence software.

WhereScape will deliver a version of WhereScape RED that integrates with MicroStrategy and enables users to easily create new data warehouses and data marts at least 30 percent faster, or in a matter of hours or a day, compared to traditional methods which take weeks and months. Not only does this make developers more productive but it slashes data warehouse development costs by as much as half. With WhereScape RED, MicroStrategy users also will be able to quickly and easily create meta data for new MicroStrategy "projects" that will help minimize the complexity and time to create business intelligence reports. A “project” is a mapping that communicates with MicroStrategy business intelligence tools on what data will be available to the users and how to access it.

WhereScape RED addresses the growing need for an Integrated Development Environment that supports the entire data warehouse lifecycle and provides enterprises with far more productivity, flexibility and speed in building, prototyping and enhancing data warehouses. WhereScape RED provides a complete and integrated data warehouse lifecycle management environment for data warehouses developed on Oracle, SQL Server or Teradata.

"The data warehouse industry needs products like WhereScape RED, which are designed to reduce data warehouse development time and maintenance costs,” said Sanju Bansal, MicroStrategy COO. “We are pleased that WhereScape Red has developed a version of their product that makes it easier for our customers to build new MicroStrategy business intelligence applications."

"We are excited to have one of the world's leading providers of business intelligence solutions as our technology partner,” said Michael Whitehead, president and CEO of WhereScape. “The upcoming integrated solution between WhereScape RED and MicroStrategy will provide a powerful data warehouse and business intelligence solution for users."
