The other night I was over at a friend’s house (pictured above) and decided to give wrestling a shot. I’ve never wrestled before but it seemed like fun at the time so after a few quick pointers from my buddy Casey Sheffield (who previously wrestled in high school and some in college), we both went at it.

Below is basically a video of me getting by butt handed to me over and over. ‘Win Win‘ this was not.

Around this time last year I bought an app called Everyday. The purpose of the app is to take a photo of yourself every single day for as long as you’d like. I decided that I wanted to follow through for one year. Well, one year has passed and below is the final outcome of a photo of myself everyday*.

A Night at the Tabernacle

This past Sunday, March 18th, I had the privilege of going to see one of my most favorite live bands in Atlanta, Georgia at one of my favorite live venues. MUTEMATH put on a solid two hour performance after a short set by opening act Canon Blue at The Tabernacle and it was well worth the drive from Tallahassee.

If you ever get the chance to see MUTEMATH perform live, take it, I promise you won’t regret it. I took a few video clips together of the night for you to watch below. Hopefully this will entice you if you’re ever on the fence about going to a concert of theirs.

Keeping Track of New Songs Added to iTunes

If you’re like me, you probably purchase a lot of music and use iTunes to help manage it. Sometimes new music can get lost over the course of a few months, and it’s always nice to revisit tracks you may have purchased but forgotten about.

Below is a video I put together showing you how to keep track of new music you’ve added to your iTunes collection within a calendar year. I hope you find it helpful.

I’m a fan of Gungor’s music. It’s worship music that doesn’t dip down to the lowest common denominator. That sounds mean. It’s worship music that has clearly been thought through lyrically and musically and is performed as such. It’s beautifully and excellently done, which brings glory and honor to GOD.

You may not have heard of Gungor, but you’ve more than likely sang a few of the songs the lead singer, Michael Gungor has co-written with other worship artists, i.e., Friend of God, I Will Run, Say So, and others.

Anyway, Gungor, the band, is putting together a live CD/DVD combo and you have the opportunity to help them. First of all, if you haven’t heard of Gungor before, you really should go ahead and do that. Below is a video of them doing an acoustic version of their song ‘You Are The Beauty.’

Now that you’ve heard that and can appreciate what it is that they do, you can choose to support them financially on their next creative endeavor. Below you’ll find information explaining how to.

Ran across this today courtesy of a tweet from friend Joshua Inkenbrandt. Someone took a little time to work on a single off of Adele‘s most recent album, 21, called Rolling in the Deep and put this little bad boy together. I’m definitely a fan of the original and the remix. I hope you enjoy it.

If you haven’t heard of Relient K before, this might not be the best album to use as an introduction, but definitely a fun album if you’re familiar with the songs they’ve covered. A good starter album to check out, I would recommend Mmhmm. You can buy it at Amazon.com or stream it at rdio.

This post isn’t about Mmhmm though. It’s about covers and Relient K’s new album, Relient K Is For Karaoke EP. It’s got 7 cover songs ranging from Justin Beiber to Cyndi Lauper. Good fun stuff worth checking out. Listen to the audio streams from rdio below, and if you dig, go ahead and buy it.

I ran across this video online and I fell in love. The music, story built by the lyrics build such a great story and image. I haven’t hard of Mali Music before, but I’m definitely interested in checking out some more of it.

I’m not sure of the name of this track, but I’m trying to look it up so I can pick it up, cause it’s dope. If you know what it’s called or where I can find it please let me know. I couldn’t find it on his website, or mentions of it on his twitter page. I will be listening to his album that’s available on rdio though. recommend that you do the same.
