Time to share a newborn session…because the last time I blogged a full newborn session was way back in–err–November of last year and I’ve realized that you guys get the short end of the deal when you only get to see one or two photos from a newborn session…they’re so, so much more than just a handful of great photos–it’s a combination of so much love and so many memories and details that combine to create a story of how precious and little these little babes are, how they completely change our lives, and how much we love and adore them.

His big brother is one of my little girly’s favorite little playmates…and I’m sure mini-brother here will be too…oh yes, he did fight the snoozes…but once he was out, he was out for good and he is such an adorable little guy I could have done *anything* with him!

I usually try to narrow it down to 4 favorites…but it just wasn’t possible here!

College station baby photographer: flirty little dude

College Station baby photographer: Oh man this little guy was such a flirt! And it was chilly…a chilly, chilly morning in Texas and he *totally* toughed it out! He got up earlier than usual, and he had a little nappy-noo in the car. But he was the happiest, most laid back little guy I’ve met in a while! Can’t wait to see his cute little face again!

That momma-to-be glow….

College Station photographer: Okay–can we talk about this Momma-to-be’s glowy complexion? Seriously, her complexion is always gorgeous….I dunno if it’s the genes or something she does, but if it’s the latter she really needs to spill it! Regardless–she surely has that extra momma-to-be boost to her glow!

Miss S. is due in a mere 10 days so we squeezed in a quick, modern, contemporary, lifestyle maternity session in this lovely random field here in College Station (you guys know I’m the queen of random locations ) Hoping it will still be looking pretty for her arrival!

Just some crazy kiddos playing around!

College Station photographer: I said it already but I’m going to say it again…mainly just so I remember it

I actually need to thank these three kiddos because they reminded me that even if things get totally wild and none of the shots that we expected to happen happen, we can still turn out utterly gorgeous images full of love and emotion…

And being able to shoot off plan and take advantage of totally unscripted craziness is not a weakness…but rather my greatest strength as a photographer…as well as the thing that distinguishes my style from that of other photographers’ because it’s when I rely entirely on my gut reactions without time to analyze or alter them that my true style comes forth.

So thanks crazy kidlets for reminding me to accept and embrace my style

This is what it’s all about–the love and the memories and the things we want our children to remember before they fade away (from our memories and theirs)…

It’s more than just a pretty picture to hang on your wall or put on an announcement…it’s candid, it’s emotional, it’s creative, and its the story of your love and a legacy…

Another birthday girl! | Bryan College Station photographer

Another little girly is turning one! And we swathed her in everything pink and pretty and everything went together wonderfully…mommy did an excellent job on the girlies’ outfits and the adorably pretty pink cake…little birthday girl did a good job being cute and digging into her cake like a little lady, and big sister did an awesome job running around being crazy as two year olds tend to do….and the light, oh, the light was perfection

Yes, oh yes, a (highly spirited–that’s the word I use for my own “highly spirited” girly) just past 2 year old and a 1 year old. I question how mom maintains her sanity!
