As you can see in this old pic from November the ugly red carpet!!! Why red???? This disgusting carpet was all over the house!!!! Even in the dining room- glad <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">that's</span> all GONE!!!!<br /></div></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><div>Here is the room now!! </div><div>The big king size mattress is under the mantle and the yucky carpet is gone!! </div><div>we painted the concrete floor a color to match with the wood floor we have through out the house, but because of the budget we did not want to spend money on the wood floor right now- we simply painted it to blend with the wood. From afar when looking into the room- you don't even notice it is painted concrete. I plan on buying a few throw rugs,if Bentley don't ruin them on me!! </div><div>The <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">chandy</span> is new too. I found it at the thrift store for 3.00 and painted it white and added the crystal prisms and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">silicone</span> bulbs!! All for less then 20.00 and it looks <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">sp</span> pretty. I just needed more space!! On the weekends we can have up to 10 kids in the house and it gets cramped!! That store has the best holiday decorations!! They are so delicate and so sweet. It's so pretty I'm afraid to put it on my slamming door!!! What started out as a day long project turned out to be a 4 day job!!!<br />There was so much more work that needed to be done and we had to get it right before completing the room.<br />The room here is an add on. We were not responsible for that construction project! When we bought the house, it was here already. Looks like some one did it in 1 day!! Where the french doors are now was a sliding glass door. It is now framed in and crown moulding was added for some detail. It is not really a bedroom more like a playroom, but we have bunk beds in there so anyone can sleep in there whenever they like. We took out the disgusting carpet and put down vinyl floor for now and eventually wood floors will go in there as well. </div><div>The girls love it!! A little too much...the poor baby had a problem with her tooth this week and I feel so bad and so guilty!!<br /><br /><br />After she eats any sweets now (which is not much anymore) she brushes her little precious teeth!!<br /><br /><br />I felt so guilty. I made a few handmade cards and decided to make a mini scrapbook with identical or so...copies of the valentines I made to remember the cards.</div><div>So what do all you do with your scrapbooks or albums?</div><div>Are they displayed? Are they stored? </div><div>I actually have mine in storage containers in my garage so if there is an emergency(example hurricane in FL) and we have to evacuate we can grab them quickly and go! </div><div>I'd like to display some, but not sure how. </div><div>Maybe a plate holder with a book and swap it out every now and then?!?! </div><div> </div><div>In a few weeks I plan on getting some more scrapping done and a few crafts here and there too. </div><div>We are in the process of cleaning out one of the kids rooms for reorganizing and then painting it and putting down new floors. </div><div>My little one Maddie was told if she helped me to donate alot of her old stuff I'd get her a little tea cart with a new tea set...a child after my own heart!! </div><div>The girls just love doing arts and crafts with me!!! </div><div> </div><div>We had a long weekend.</div><div>Saturday we had a small fire out back and made smores with the our kids and about 5 or 6 extra kids!! I like them because I feel like I have actually accomplished something! But I love the kids birthdays!!<br />I get so excited- I make them t-shirts, cupcakes and special cupcake toppers for them almost every year!!<br />The first to kick out the birthday season in Miss Madison.<br />Her birthday is November 6th and she officially kicks off the birthday festivities in out house!<br />This year I made the cake, cupcakes, her special t-shirt and the crown.<br />A few years ago I came across a lovely blog<br /><a href="http://creativechaos.typepad.com/creative_chaos/">http://creativechaos.typepad.com/creative_chaos/</a><br />where she gave a tutorial for making the lovely crowns!! She gets double the gifts and tons of attention right after christmas!! She turned 14 this year, I am still trying to accept that!!! They are coming now!!</div><div>My water broke at 8:00pm while everyone in the family was partying-LOL and off we went to the hospital. Thier story is very interesting...but I'll save that for another day!</div><div> </div><div>So as you can, we keep awfully busy in December. I got it at Goodwill yesterday only 4.99. It was new in the package, and I thought it was totally me!! </div><div>It says "I child proofed the house, but they still get in" </div><div>Oh yeah!! ME!!!!!</div><div></div><div>Megan came home from school the other day (last week) and says,</div><div>"Did you know there was a hurricane in Katie?"</div><div>I said to my sweet 8 year old, "You mean an earthquake in Haiti"</div><div>She said yes!! </div><div>My little darling girl wanted to donate to help the people. We gathered up three bags, some from my pantry and some we bought of food and donated it to a local church.
