Quality Accommodation

We stayed for the middle two weeks of August and my kids (6 and 9) are still going on about how great it was and we must go back there next year! As they say if the kids are happy so are the adults. Our review is:

Booking – really simple and easy to book. The apartments and complex are well described on the website. The ability to book transfers/welcome packs was very welcome.

Checking in – having booked a local transfer from the UK it was great just to be able to walk straight out of the airport into your mini-bus and go direct to the resort. When we arrived at Whispering Sands our bags were taken straight to our room, we were given our set of keys and five minutes later we were at the bar with a beer in hand and food on order – that’s the way to start a holiday.

Apartments – they were of excellent quality and very spacious. They were modern and well maintained. The kitchen was well kitted out for a holiday apartment. Air conditioning worked well. The balconies were large and great for sitting out on for an early evening drink.

Quality Bedroom To Relax In

Location – they are a little out of town which can have draw backs but also has its plus points – provides a really relaxing and secure location. Town and the beaches are easily reached by the local Dolmus or just over £5 for a taxi. Many restaurants will pick you up, and even drop you back off. The fact that you were a little way from town and the site was very secure meant that you could let the children have a bit more freedom

Staff – without doubt the biggest plus point of Whispering Sands. You got the feeling that this was a true family resort – run by families for families!! Nothing was ever too much trouble. I don’t think I have ever experience better service or friendlier staff.

Quality Bedroom

Things to do – The kids loved the onsite club – Julie was great with the kids – and it gave you 3 hours of relaxation. The pool is fantastic and what ever the time of the day you could get a sun bed. The evening entertainment was just about right – something on every other night – that meant you could either go to town or have a quiet meal/drink around the pool bar. The entertainment was never too noisy or late, but if you are a light sleeper you might want an apartment away from the main pool area. The pool party is a legend and the kids think it was the best night ever! Plenty of trips to be had in the area from the usual boats/jeep safaris to some great sightseeing.

Food/Drink – Sean and his team work tirelessly (but always with a smile). The drinks were reasonable value and the food of a good quality. You could certainly eat there every night and not get bored or break the bank.

Thanks to all at Whispering Sands for making us so welcome and ensuring that we had a great holiday. Without doubt we will be back .

Whispering Sands Apartments

was excellent and very spacious, the pool and bar/restaurant facilities were very good, all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for you. was a little out of town but that suited us as was only 5 mins away by taxi and return trip cost 30 turkish lire which was not to expensive when there was a group, could also get the number 1 bus at the end of the road which is cheaper. one week isn’t long enough, would definitely return next year for 2 weeks, already planning it. was a pleasure to stay here and cant wait to come back next year!

Kusadasi Turkey

Whispering Sands operates a shuttle bus service in the summer months commencing 1st June 2012 until the end of September 2012. How does this service work? The shuttle bus works by offering 2 return trips to the beach each day and three return trips into Kusadasi town centre. There are also return trips to Ephesus and Virgin Marys house.

Here is how it works

• The cost is 10 pounds per person per week if booked and paid prior to arrival
• Babies less than 2 years old travel free
• No restriction on number of journeys taken
• All members of holiday group must make booking
• Bookings made on or after arrival will cost pounds 15 per person per week
• Minimum booking is for one week
• Price does not include any entrance fees/charges to beaches, Ephesus etc

My children are to old now for going on family holidays but after several years of family holidays I have personal experience of staying in various hotels. Looking over the years some hotels have been good and others not so good. You probably know what I mean, the type of hotel that has been built for a number of years and is starting to look a little shabby around the edges, the staff are not helpful and do not speak much English.

Whispering Sands is a newly built complex built in 2008. It was built to a high standard and is very well managed. The staff are helpful and speak English. When I first stayed in Whispering Sands I was impressed with how fresh, clean and modern the complex is. Whispering Sands is a perfect place to take your family holiday with its children’s club, play area, and children’s pool. The complex is gated and enjoys 24 hour security.

Entertainment  at Whispering Sands: The first and most important is the pool. Whispering Sands has a large main pool that also includes a covered children’s pool. Plenty of sun loungers to sit round the pool and soak up the sun. The terrace area includes a bar with satellite TV serving snacks through the day. The restaurant bar serves a great breakfast and great food all day. In the evening visit the sunset bar which as its name suggests is a great place to watch the sun set in the evening. There’s the outdoor children’s play area, not to mention the 2000sq ft indoor kids soft play zone and cinema In July and August  there will be pool parties, discos and daily live entertainment.
