Wishing all my blog readers a very 'Happy New Year 2016'. I hope you have the most wonderful year full of health, happiness, success and may God Bless you all with his choicest blessings.

To kick start the year I have made these cards for some wonderful friends that I have met on this crafty journey over the last one year.

I have used the emboss resist technique to create the focal panel. I have used White, Silver and Black embossing powder to create the focal image. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

The size of the cards is 4 x 5 1/2 inches and the focal panel is 3 x 5 1/2 inches. I have lined the sides with Gold Metallic paper and Silver metallic paper. For the sentiment i have used Vellum and embossed the sentiment using my Ranger Heat Tool.

These two card are embossed using Ranger White Embossing powder and used Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background - Picked Rasberries & Seedless Preserve and Mustard Seed & Spiced Marmalade.

These two card are embossed using Stampin Up Silver Embossing powder and used Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background - Salty Ocean & Peacock Feathers and Crushed Olive & Mowed Lawn.

This card was embossed using Stampin Up Black Embossing powder and used Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background - Ripe Persimmon and Fired Brick.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Life is very unpredictable, it has its own twists and turns. The last three months have been extremely painful for me, I lost my job and have been actively searching for one. So my crafting took a serious back seat. I still do not have a job but am currently doing some odd jobs so that I can remain afloat. Please remember me in your prayers.

Crafting gives me happiness and helps me forget the pressures of life. Thank you, Simon Says Stamp for this interesting Wednesday Challenge. I decided to create a One layer card, but just had to add those extra balloons and the sentiment. I have used multiple techniques here, Masking, Distress colouring, Distress Water Colouring, Embossing Paste with Stencils, Water Colouring with Pencil colours looks like a true Multi Media card. All it does not have is metal. Thank you for following me and keep looking forward to my posts at least once a week.

Guest Designer Zoya creates a Beautiful Tag

Hi Readers,

This weekend the young artist for the blog decided that she wants to create a Tag. She cut the Tag using the MFT dies Tag Stax, using the Neenah White Card Stock.

After cutting the Tag she used various Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background. She then splattered a few drops of water on the background to add texture.

After that the young artist created her own stencil using a small punch and piece of scrap card stock and then layered embossing paste on the tag to create a selective texture.

Next she used the image from MFT stamps and colored the image using Copic Markers (Thank you Online Card Classes for grooming her).

She stamped the sentiment from 'I love Donut' stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp to finish of the tag. She adhered the images to the tag using some Foam tape.

Will catch you soon with an update on all cards created using the 'I love Donuts' stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I have just created a page for the new Online Card Class I have just started called 'Copic Markers for card Makers' This class has an amazing line up of teachers - Kristina Werner, Jennifer McGuire, Sandy Allnock, Kathy, Kelly, Laura. Wow what an illustrious list of teachers at one place all together. I have been following them for years now and have constantly learnt from them. Copic has been very intriguing for me since the first Copic I bought, I did not know where to start so bought some colours that I liked. Now I am learning how to intelligently buy Copics and use them effectively.

My page will be updated daily with the homework assignments that we get to do, the class is highly interactive and a loads of fun.

Let me take this opportunity to introduce you to a new card maker on my blog. She is a young enthusiastic kid studying in Class IV yes you read is correct CLASS IV. She is Zoya Charania a bubbly, budding artist who loves sketching and now has taken on the art of making Cards, what I am showcasing here is a card she has designed and created.

The card is a beautiful A2 size card using the Simon Says Stamp Stencil, Distress inks and the new Stamptember set from Simon Says Stamp - 'I Love Donuts'.

She started by securing the top folding A2 card with some washi tape on a craft sheet.

Then she placed the Stencil on the front and started coloring using the Distress Inks - Mustard Seed, Crushed Olives and Peacock Feathers. She used the Tim Holtz mini blending tool.

Once completed she used the Ranger Archival ink to Stamp the Donut and then used the Rose Red ink from Stampin Up for the goggles and Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red ink for the sentiment and the heart.

A Fun quick card under 20 mins from start to finish. That's what I would like to call clarity of idea, she knew exactly what she wanted.

Teacher Appreciation Card

Today is the 5th of September the day we appreciate and thank our teachers for all the effort they take in grooming us. Since I have started getting involved in Card Making there are a lot of teachers who have helped me learn the idea behind creating wonderful cards. I have learnt Techniques, Fancy Folds, Layouts, Layering, Inking, Stamping and the list just goes on. I want to take this opportunity to Thank each and every one of my Teachers.

Today I spent some time with the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for the month of September 2014, it has amazing set 'To Thine Own Shelf', some pattern paper, Washi Tape, Stickers and a mini distress ink pad, an absolute mix of fantastic products.

To create the cards I started with a standard A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 closed). Using the Simon says stamp Stencil and embossing paste I created two different backgrounds one using the Moroccan Window Stencil and the other using the large dots stencil. Once the background was created I let it dry for over an hour. I took another panel of 31/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches and created the center panel using multiple inks. I then layered both the sides of this panel with 3/4 inch Chocolate Chip Card Stock, leaving just 1/8 of an inch visible on both the sides. Then I placed the stencil again on the background and then applied Vintage Photo distress ink. Once dried I layered the center panel on the card.

I made a total of 6 cards for my daughters six school teachers. A very simple yet effective layout so easy to do and get a beautiful effect.

Shaker Cards - Simon Says Stamp July 2014 & August 2014 Card Kits

Weekend was great, had some time and was highly inspired by my youtube brigade to give a shot to the all popular Shaker cards this season.

Also I had seen Kristina Werner's 1 stamp 1 Card Friday Focus video and was highly inspired by it, so decided to create 2 Shaker Cards one with the Simon Says Stamp July 2014 Card Kit and the other with the Simon Says Stamp August 2014 Card Kit.

The difference or the USP of these cards is that I have use every element from the Card Kit, including the Shaker elements. I decided to stamp and cut the elements like envelopes from the SSS July 2014 Card Kit and the Ice Cream sticks from the SSS August 2014 Card Kit

The SSS July 2014 Kit has this lovely stamp of a small envelope, I stamped that with Ranger Archival Black ink and then coloured the envelopes using Tim Holtz Distress Markers and applied wink-a-stellar glitter to give it some character. I used a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch standard A2 size Card base. I created the back panel with Tim Holtz water colour paper and embossed hearts from the SSS July 2014 Card Kit and gave it a wash with the Festive Berries distress ink, before stamping the sentiment with the Archival Black ink. I am going to be using for the Casology challenge.

The SSS August 2014 Kit has the lovely stamp set with ice creams. I created a small ice creams by stamping the images using Ranger Archival Black ink and then coloured them using Tim Holtz Distress Markers. Again the card is a standard size A2 card. For the background panel I used Tim Holtz water colour paper and embossed the double scoop ice cream using Ranger white embossing powder and then coloured them using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. It is such a Happy Card I so loved looking at the Double scooped ice cream and the shaker full of Mini Ice creams. On this I used a Vellum as a base for the fantastic sentiment 'All you need is ice cream'

I decided to share my first card after a long 2 years gap for the Simon Says Stamp blog Wednesday challenge. This time the challenge was to incorporate SPOTS AND DOTS on the card. I used the Tim Holtz water colour paper and created a background with the Distress Spots/Minis and then stamped the greeting using the Simon Says Stamp July Kit #SimonsaysstampJuly2014kit. The kit is super awesome.

2012 Planner - Well I am good at planning & so need a planner

Either to Plan to Fail or Fail to Plan I do neither of them. I do not Plan to fail as I plan to succeed and I never Fail to Plan.

Well its always assumed that creative people are spontaneous and they do not like to plan, well I beg to differ as I am a prt of the Corporate World Planning is a part of my daily routine, so how do the corporate & the creative world meet... well by creating a beautiful planner.

Yes guys I am well in time for my new year, I have made a Planner for myself thats absolutely GORGEOUS.

Its a nice compact size and looks ultra fab with the Tim Holtz Paper line. It has 6 pages, 1 page for every two months. ON eage page I have two months calendar, a Monthly Planner Tag with one month on each side to mark my appointments. A small four-sided insert that takes care of Bithdays & Anniversaries, Important Dates, Contact Number and a small space for some crucial notes.

As a loving son, dad & husband I love to travel with my family pictures, so there is one side on each page dedicated to pictures.

On the inside front cover I spaces for those little nicks and nacks like fuel bills, dinner bills etc to claim expenses. another two pockets for little scribbling pads and one large space for my Family picture.

This is a really beautiful planner again inspired by a project done by Kathy Orta (Thank you...Kathy).

The closure for the planner is also rugged with two antique brads from Stampin Up and a piece of Linen thread.

Well this is a male version of the planner, hope you guys like it. Do leave me a feedback I would love to read your comments.

Mini Album thats not so Mini

Well as the title suggests this Mini Album is really not a Mini. It can hold over 60 pictures can you beat that and it has only 4 pages. This Album is inspired by the Build a page concept by Kathy Orta.

She is an amazing crafter, fabulous tutor and a wonderful person. I have learnt this from her and she is a super Creative Women, full of life and energy.

This Mini Album is 5 x 7 inches and I made this for a swap. I have use basic Card Stock to create the pages and have used the Basic Grey Wander Collection to cover the pages and the cover. I did not embellish it much as I have to courier it to my partner.

Pages with Tags

Each page holds around 14 pictures and most (9 to be exact) of them are full size (4 x 6) and the other 5 are 3 x 3, now that's a lot of pictures for a Page, it is a clever construct hence the album does not look bulky yet can hold so many pictures.

There a pocket on the Inside Front Cover & Inside Back cover giving you more space for Photos and also there is a tag which can again hold a almost full size picture.

The binding is very simple and elegant, it looks like a well bound book. I am so much in love with this album that at one point I felt like not mailing it to my partner (sshhhh... don't tell her this).

However a man who stands by his words, I shall not fall to such temptations and have finally couriered this album to her.
