President Obama made a speech about Time to Change and so too , other leaders and governments have followed the bandwagon to embrace a new realization that if change is evitable in the current climate, then the aspect of working together needs to be addressed and practised.

Within "White Light" we aim to raise your awareness of the many healing practises that can feed your soul so you may embrace a new healthy and positive way of being. The days where we were totally reliable upon orthodox medicine are now falling by the wayside. Grandmas recipies and old wives tales are coming back to the fore of our thinking.

Yet it is not only the olde ways that are being practised. There are many differing sources of energy that can be channeled and practised to benefit the human mind body and spirit.

Here we aim to teach you the various healing art forms that can and do benefit your consciousness. The Light Network also connects lightworkers through time and space, all around the world. We hope to introduce you to many Teachers and practitioners who not only offer their services in Spain, but other parts of the world as well.

We also want to hear from you. We want to hear about your experiences with different healing practises. We feel it is healthy to hear about the positive and negative. Negative as we know is actually a positive experience often giving birth to new light and accessing the power of Change, for a better direction.

Healing comes in many forms and often it is through life time experiences. In fact The Healing School, is life by experience. Anything and everything that is thrown on our path is there for a lesson and a teaching. Those of you who have had experiences of abuse for example and are no longer in that enviroment, need to look at themselves in the mirror and say I love you. You have learned a powerful lesson about yourself and are still here to tell the tale. Your experience is food for thought and transformation as it will and does assist in helping other people to change their lives in a positive and new direction.

Therefore we want to hear about your lifetime experiences. It is said that each person could write a book about their life. It is true. Dont think that your experience would not help others, dont think it boring. You are needed to help others help themselves.

It is not by co-incidence that you have found this site, nor the fact that you are reading this page. It has happened for a reason. You had free will and a choice whether you opened the page or not. Now you are and you are enjoying what you are reading.

Over the years I have had the privilage to meet and work with many empowering individuals. They have all been my teachers. Life has been my teacher. I have been impressed by how many have chosen to turn their lives around especially after they have embarked upon Reiki Workshops. The Light is always there but how many of you actually choose to connect with it. You do not have to read the bible to connect with the light. Just become at one with yourself and the universe with which you live. I believe we are all sons and daughters of "God" or a higher Consciousness or indeed our higher selves.

The "White Light" is not soley about Healing energies. It is also about various techniques and principles that are practised to enable us to become more centred and in touch with who we are.

I also believe that Reiki for example (or other connecting techniques and practises) should be introduced into schools and taught to help children to become the person they are instead of the out moded conditioned machine that the media and society has manufactured.

Within the "White Light"- The Healing School you can also sit in discussion with likeminded individuals and discuss these matters, with out the fear of critisism or prejudice.

In October Luis and I will be teaching Reiki Workshops in both english and spanish. An introduction to Reiki Level 1 You have reached this page for a reason. Perhaps it is not the first time you have read or heard about Reiki. It is said that from the first time you connect with the energy, that your Reiki Guide has stepped into your aura and is slowly nudging you towards the path to spiritual enlightenment. Reiki can be described as a healing loving touch.

Reiki is unconditional love, the Universal Life force Energy. Reiki can be divided into two words. Firstly Rei which means Universal and Ki which is light, energy, chi or Manna. It is energy channelled from source. The source we all come from connect to and return. It is as simple as that.

It was re-discovered by Mikao Usui in the late 1800s while he was on a meditation fasting for 21 days on Mount Karuma in Japan. During the 21 days he received an attunement in the form of a bright light, symbols and mantras. Since then Reiki has been passed down through generations. Adopting Reiki into your life, you are able to heal yourself on a mental emotional, physical and spiritual level. You are also able to send healing to your loved ones as well as every human being who lives on the planet

. Apart from that, Reiki is positive energy that helps you to gain confidence and the ability to believe in the self. Reiki can help you manifest your desires and fulfil your ambitions. As you work with the energy, your spiritual vibration will lift so that you can access greater depths of who you are as an individual. More than that, you can access your divine purpose.

The first workshop is a Reiki 1 workshop- Taking those all important steps towards the spiritual self, is often a hard decision to make. Often a life changing occurrence has occurred within your life, to assist you in making those all important positive changes towards an aspect of light and renewal. Many people have experienced, hardships, relationship breakups, illness , the loss of a loved one or even a near death experience. It is at these low points in life that we begin to re-evaluate our lives and feel and know that there is something better. Too many people are “people pleasers” and do not give enough time to themselves. Knowing that you deserve better and that you can do something to help yourself as well as others, is indeed a gift to accept into your unique way of existence. Reiki one is about finding that time. Time for the self Creating a balance within your life, so that you are in a position to help yourself and to help others. It must be acknowledged, that Reiki is not just a form of healing. It is a path. Fulfilling your lifes purpose really comes to the fore when you have accessed the first major step towards enlightenment. That first step occurs through Reiki 1.

Reiki 1 is called the foundation maker. To enable yourself to grow spiritually you need a firm foundation to work upon. Reiki can give you that. It plants a seed, so you may grow and blossom into the person you are, not the person others want you to be. Reiki 2 workshop in English will be 22nd and 23rd November (location to be confirmed)

Reiki Two is the second degree level. There are many ways in which Reiki is taught. This largely depends upon the Teacher and the Lineage that is followed. I practise the Traditional Usui method as well as the Integrated Tibetan method. Level two can only be taken after you have completed level one. You must have been attuned to level one for a minimum of three months. As you know, Reiki One is largely about Self Healing and meditation although you are also introduced to healing others.

Reiki two is about using the Sacred symbols of Reiki that were channelled by Mikao Usui in the late 1800s. These originally are to be kept sacred, although now you can find them on the internet and published within many books. In one way this goes against the Traditional teaching of Reiki. Reaching Reiki two does not mean that you stop working upon yourself. It means that you continue at a deeper level as well as healing others.

The Workshop
This workshop is taught over 2.5 days Three days prior to the workshop you will receive the Symbols and the Mantras. You must be able to draw, the symbols as well as write and chant the mantras. These you must learn off by heart by the time you return for the workshop. The symbols and mantras must be destroyed so that no-one can view them. You will know them and retain them within. .

Throughout the Workshop you are taught to feel and connect to the energy of each symbol through meditation practices. Each symbol carries a different vibration and healing energy. You will connect with

The Power Symbol,
Mental Emotional
and the Distance Symbol.

You will connect with the Unconditional love of Reiki through the highest Power for your Personal self development. Attunements and Empowerments Also incorporated into this workshop are Soul Development Exercises, Meditations and Visualizations, Distance Healing, Healing with Crystals, The Violet Flame, The power of the Universe, Healing Relationships, working with the Terminally ill and the dying, Releasing Karma, Past life Regression/Future Lives and Healing Treatments Depending upon your individual development other methods of Healing are incorporated into the workshop.

You must have also the need to teach and have been working within this field with dedication. For Reiki Masters who feel they want to teach, are asked to work alongside me when I am running Reiki courses. You will be required to assist with attunements and empowerments as well as assist with the teaching of courses. Not only is there that requirement but you will also receive two additional Symbols and mantras. The main requirement for this course is will and dedication. Teaching is a gift. Passing on knowledge should be respected. You will also learn the art of Compassion Active Listening Meditations and visualizations (writing and channelling your own) Connection to spirit Codes of Ethics. The Light Workers Path to Ascension
If you have received this newsletter and reading it right now, it is not by Coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. Everything that crosses your path is there to acknowledge, digest and assimilate. Does it connect with your soul? Does it make a connection? Does it create a spark in your inner reality?
All light workers are on this voyage to reach the stages of Ascension. That means ascending from the 3rd dimensional reality, into the 4th and 5th Dimensional realities.
Every course or workshop that you embark upon, each time takes you closer to creating a shift in your consciousness. There are so many gifted light workers. Each of you has your own unique gifts. You have developed these through so much hard work and self dedication on yourself. It is so important to express, that each one of you, are unique. Its important not to compare yourself to another. Stay focused on your own path as you are working with the energy that you are meant to. Additionally you are attracting into your life the soul energies that are attracted to you and need your assistance.
I would say the vast majority of Light Workers have walked through the dark seat of the soul. We have to be able to walk the path less travelled (or in fact travelled by most, but to make the realization, it was for a reason). I too am without exception, in experiencing vast extremes of hardship. I have been at the depth of despair, even living rough on the streets, the lowest ebb of my life. But there was something, a connection to higher vibrations that lifted me up and carried me to a point that I knew something had to shift and change. It took me a few hard lessons before my soul was willing to shift, thus repeating patterns. Only when we know that we have reached a dead end or a wakeup call do we realize that something has to shift.
One of the important lessons we have to learn in order to shift to the ascension chambers of our soul is to not harbor any anger or hatred to what has happened in the past. Letting go of what has happened will release the soul from lower vibration existences. If we look at an experience and say, “Okay I took a path that caused a lot of pain and upset for myself and my family, but I understand and accept the reasons why my soul had to work through this”. “I release any pain, anger or hardship it may have caused”. “I send light to my life.” “I send light to my family or those who I have hurt”.” My soul is free to ascend”. If we look at the lessons we have learned rather than focusing on the pain caused this is also very empowering.
I learned to be in connection with my sensitive nature. It awakened me to my soul and to who I really was. It assisting in re-connecting me to accept the spiritual aspect I felt from a young age. I understood why I had been rebellious, why I had been bullied, why I wanted to be different, why I wanted to make something of my life, why I wanted to assist with the spiritual awakening of mankind. It taught me to stand up for myself and not let others hold me back. It taught me to own my own power. It taught me how to love and be loved. It also taught me who my friends were and who were not. When teaching I observe so many people who have been at the depth of the despair. But they are able through the workshops and courses to make the connection to why situations manifested and who they are and what it is that they need or want to create a better life and ascend to the next level of vibration shifts.
Remember you are special and you are a beacon of light not only for your own ascension but for the ascension of others. The Earth has been stuck in the third dimensional reality. “The light workers” and “star seeds” from other “Inter Galactic Federations” have seeded here to bring about a shift in the consciousness. There will always be the dark forces and suppressions from third dimensional thought processes, negative and depressed vibrations that will not change their perceptions in life. They will try to hold you back or even try to drain your energy. Some of these vibrations may even be your family/friends. Sometimes, those that whom we love are stuck in third dimensional reality and they may be quite happy there. Not everyone wants to change or ascend to the next vibration force. If you have experienced a hardship via a family link, you need to look at what you have learned from the experience. In cases it has taught you how not to be. Sometimes the hardest lessons are the most powerful teachers. That is one of the many powerful and sustaining lessons. If you feel this happening protect yourself, or quite simply, offer them compassion and understand their fears without anger, but with love. Forth dimensional understanding is unconditional love, love without restrictions If you harbor ill thoughts against another person or situation you hold a ball of that low vibration energy within you and low vibration action will be perpetrated repeatedly against you until you release the anger and find a loving perspective.
There are so many healing vibrations, for example the sound techniques with the singing bowls, The Violet flame, transmuting negative energy into positive energy, working with the white flame of Arch angel Gabriel, and Serapis Bey, transformational Breath Workshops inspired by Judy Kravits, Holographic Repatterning, the metamorphic technique,, shamanic drumming , angelic connections, Reiki, Spiritual Healing, Vortex Healing and so forth. They are all of one vibration, deriving from Love. Unconditional Love Each of you have a gift and a way of bringing that energy in to our consciousness.

As light workers, and star seeds, we teach, channel and educate unconditional love. We have worked through the dark seat of the soul and survived. You should be proud of yourself and give yourself a pat on the back. You have awakened to your path for a reason, now its time to shine. We need as many light workers as possible to raise the planet earth out of its third dimensional existence and into the forth. The youth of today are waking up. Just listening to the many songs in today’s popular music express changing ones life around into a more positive and sustaining direction. They sing about the light, about learning and growing from past hurts, that some 50 years ago were never sung about. Shifts are occurring, but time is running out. When the shift of consciousness affects you, you automatically become a catalyst. People either try to hold you back, thus you release them from your aura and ascend or ultimately people change and grow with you seeking the enlightened path you have discovered.
Each student, each connection I meet, is my teacher. I am constantly learning and growing and enjoy sharing that knowledge in inspiring other individuals to grow and shift their 3rd dimensional reality to the forth. If we as light workers can assist with this awakening we can shift the consciousness of the planet so that it can heal. To achieve this , we as one energy and one force, have to remain committed to this challenge. We have to support each other.

White Light Newsletter Introduction

“White Light” is a Spiritual Collective Consciousness, uniting light workers on the Costa del Sol as well as further afield to other corners of the globe. Having been a Catalyst for many of the circles dating back to 2001, I have since seen the light expand. The Costa del Sol attracts so many light workers, to lift the energy as well as bring light to so many other people who often move here for a better and more fulfilled existence. People, who are searching for something better, often require sign posts. It is the many healers and therapists who are those sign posts or beacons of light that give hope, support and healing to their lives. Within this Newsletter, which will be sent out every two weeks, I will highlight some of the lesser known individuals who are making this world a better place to live. It is often only the ones in the limelight that we hear about, but there are so many other individuals who are working tirelessly in bringing so much light and energy into people‟s lives. The Costa del Sol is of no exception to the rest of the World, in being a place where dreams are often a struggle to achieve. I have seen the light that shines from many of these individuals, and so aim to highlight and bring that awareness to a wider audience. I receive many emails from people who are seeking development, healing and spiritual growth and awareness. Currently with our own Property Business, we are unable to afford the time that I feel is needed to dedicate to a Circle. Our Workshops continue in the winter months, but also I have learned recently to find some time for “us.” So this is why I have created “White Light” as a Newsletter as it also keeps Luis and I connected to the Spiritual side of our lives. We have so many good honest friends that we know and love through the circles. This Newsletter is now one of those stones that is dropped into the pond. In order to watch the ripples run outwards, all I ask you is to send this Newsletter out to your address book. If each person does the same who receives it, then the light will expand and more people can benefit from White Light.

If you are new to the Costa del Sol and what to run a workshop, it is the best way forward as word of mouth is the best form of advertising. If they have seen you in person, connected with your energy then you have a greater chance of being more successful in your approach.

Reiki Master (Advanced Reiki Training).

There are three more Reiki Masters walking the path of Enklightenment in the world today. They have now taken the first steps towards bringing enlightenment and peace to themselves as well as their friends family and outer circles.

At the reaiki master level A.R.T. we teach the Master the art of Becoming a Master. Exploring additional healing moduals to offer a deeper aspect of healing through reiki including Psychic Surgery, and healing attunements (different to actual attunements)the violet flame and hara massage techniques.

The three new Masters are Barre De Groot, a well established Massage and Reiki therapist in Spain , Portugal and Holland.

Paola Durando Ashley -Also a well established massage and Reiki therapist in Spain and Italy. She also has many other techniques and therapies under her belt.

Beatriz Garcia Valesquez- An International business Life coach who also adapts the Reiki Treatments into her work

Additionally there is my husband, Luis Miguel Marques da Costa Alves, who is Now a Reiki Master/Teacher, who assists me on the the Reiki Workshops

Firstly we would like to thank the presence of those of you who were at the White Light Circle in Marbella (at sandras House).

Athough the evening did not go entirely to plan, what happened was meant to happen, so we hope you enjoyed the evening.

However in future we will limit the amount of places to 13 persons. Therefore we recommend that you reserve your place to ensure attendance at the meeting.

The next meeting would be on the 14th February 2011 in mijas costa, however, this date is the anniversay of Luis and I together (5 years). This is not our wedding anniversary, that is on the 1st May.We have decided to go away and pamper ourselves on the 14th. Therefore we suggest that you also take time out. If you have a partner, celebrate the love you share, if you are single, pamper yourself, because you deserve it.

White Light Meetings

* Monday 21st February-White Light meeting at Marbella Healing Circle (Sandras). She has informed us that she is not moving and will be staying in the same house.

* Monday 28th February-White Light meeting in Mijas Costa (Our House C/Sirius) For those of you who have not attended ,we have a google map on our main website www.alternative-world.org

* There is also a drop in centre for spiritually minded people on saturday mornings.This is run by Franny (tall dutch woman and her husband). They are opening their house to welcome people of likeminds, to meditate, share, talk to a listening ear or paint/art work. The next meeting will be on 26th February. The meeting is held between 10.30am-2.30pm

After last nights meeting, I realized that there was a demand to share the various therapies and techniques that each of you practise. Each one of you require work, as we all do. However in this climate it is often hard to generate enough income to survive. Sometimes you may find it competitive. Therefore we are offering you the chance to "Talk your walk"

We provide a platform foryou to introduce, discuss or share your truth, therapy or idea to other members of white light as well as members of the general public. We will promote the event through websites, facebook and other media. Additionally there will be a write up about you which will appear on the"White Light" website/other media.

Please note that these meetings are not included in the circle.They will be held in various locations.

" White Light " - The Healing School-A Spiritual Collective

We only have become an observer of the current unrest and change in progress across the middle east and the world with Governments changing power.The source of this change manifested from the collective consciousness of "people power".People are starting to realize they have a voice and can bring about change on a level that benefits all.

So too, we as individuals have the power to change our thought process, thus allowing the consiousness shift to the affect the way we behave, who we connect to as well as the awareness of the souls destiny and journey.

The "white light circles" have already started to create incredible changes in peoples lives, quite profound in fact. It has created a network that not only helps people to help themselves but also each other and those who come to them for help and assistance.

People who were once lonely or depressed have seen the "Light", connected to its source, empowered their soul and are starting to grow with an aire of positiveness.
Those who only had dreams of manifesting something have started on the path of realization.

White light has now have given birth to the "White Light Circle" in Mijas Costa, at "Marbella Healing Circle" in Nueva Andalucia and now a "Drop in Centre" in Calahonda on a saturday morning for those who need support, to meet others likeminded or learn to meditate, art and crafts as well as other topics.

Introduction
Having been bullied as a child, I found it hard to move forward in school. I had a lower self esteem, a lack of confidence and felt that I did not fit in. That was, until I had the courage to stand up for myself. But perhaps I missed out on other opportunities when younger for fear of not being good enough or held myself back because I did not have the confidence.
So using this experience I am able to know how a child feels,and reacts at school.
Many children are confident on the outside. But often it is the inside where fear stands.
Through our course we encourage your child to let go of fear, through various reiki techniques, that help to empower your child.
We also help to bring out the creativity in the spirit of your child, with drawing/painting, dancing and laughing.
It is important as a child grows up that they are able to unite with the inner child.
Many adults as they grow up, forget about the simplicity and the inner child.
Life does not have to be so serious and stressful.
By teaching Reiki to a child, the child is able to stand up , believe in and trust themselves .
Reiki enables a child to have a greater connection to the universe, with greater respect of what many of us take for granted. We teach your child how to relax, to meditate, to bond with nature and animals.
The Reiki workshop is one day priced at 50,00 euros

•Ideally we require a minimum of 4 children aged between 5-12 years old
•The emphasis of these workshops for children is to create a hightened awareness of each other as well as the world in which we live in.
•However in some circumstances individual courses can be arranged
•We learn from our parents our teachers and society. There are always outside influences. If your child is vunerable, shy or easily led then their journey can often be harder. However if they are able to see their sensitivity as a strength, they become empowered as an individual.

Many students have crossed my path over the years. I have found, being a teacher that I am a vessel in teaching the student to help thy self. However I only plant a seed. It is the student who has a responsibility for the self, to water and nurture that seed to make it grow. Yet of the students who have come forward, I would say in a region of 75% go on to continue using the energy into their lives. However it also seems,that many fall back to the area of comfort once the initial initiation has taken place. Is it too hard to practise a new way of living? Is life that hectic that introducing a powerful way of being, is just too much to handle?

In healing and development circles some students mention that a few years ago they took a reiki course, practised it and then life took over, they had children and fell back into a routine of life in general.

Reiki is simple to use to adopt into ones life. Of the 75 percent who do take time to practise Reiki are actually doing very well and have progressed and moved forward incredibly to which I feel extremely proud. Just being a part of someones path is a pleasure, especially when those teachings are adopted into life.

I remember some years ago I was teaching two particular Reiki2 Students. One was a former Reiki 1 student who had found herself and now was in a position to help a dying friend. She desperately wanted to use the Reiki to further herself. The other woman had taken a Reiki 1 and 2 courses before yet felt she was stuck and not moving forward. When I mentioned why she had not used the symbols, she mentioned that it was so long ago, that she had forgotten the symbols and was out of practise.

This example is one that I often refer back to in my classes. The one who wanted to help her dying friend as well as find and access her creativity (she was a teacher of art and found she had a mental block)worked on herself for the 21 days. She kept a diary of her experiences as well as practised the Reiki symbols, mantras and meditations as well as continuing with the self healing. She moved forward, finding a creative flair and assisting in helping her students as well as presenting an exhibition of art. Additionally she was also "There" to assist with the transition of her dying friend.

The other woman felt she did not deserve to give herself the Reiki and only gave some reiki treatments to others. She continued to stay stuck in the cycle that she was comfortable with. Her life did change but at a much slower pace. Unfortunately her dreams did not manifest and she found herself returning home to the past.

This taught me that although there are the 5 Reiki principles, these needed to be taught and explained in another format, bringing them to date as well as assisting the students to recognise what they needed to access and release to enable them to move forward. I meditated with this and asked for the energy of Mikao Usui to impress upon me a method that would assist with this process. I found it and now adopt a life changing method to assist in liberation for the soul.

I find that I am inspired on each Reiki Workshop, always tapping into the necessary requirements for each student. No workshop is ever the same. We look at what is workable to the student with the teachings of Reiki and other life changing and empowering techniques.

Reiki is not just a healing technique. it is a way of life.

Continuity is the key for accessing the higher power for self improvement. Those students who practise the Reiki techniques on a daily basis do not struggle with their lives. Neither do they find themselves at a crossroads or stuck personally or professionally.
