The legendary Aphrodisiacs announce their summer foray – Game On, Saturday 4th July from 10pm to 6am with a whole host of entertainment, music and sporting celebrations.

GAME ON invites you to take part in all the Aphrodisiacs inspired shenanigans: Pillow Fights, Strip Rounders, Spin the Bottle and Risqué Croquet.

Aphrodisiacs will be providing guests with a whole host of unadulterated indulgence with personal training from Mr and Mz Fit, Hula Hooping from Pippa the Rippa, The Notorious Photo Booth and VIP picnic area.

The stunning Franca, previous winner at The Erotic Awards has choreographed a special Games inspired show, and our fabulous lingerie partner The Modern Courtesan will be providing lots of saucy treats.

Members will be able to experience pole dancing shows and lessons from the legendary Jem’s Dance Academy(who famously taught Kate Moss & Leah Woods)

The musical setting of sexy slick house, funky tek, disco and rare groove is provided by hand-selected Aphrodisiac DJS: Chris Woodward from Buzzin Fly, Redz (Resident ) Mastomic (Resident) Simon Kurrage (Mulletover), and Mister Shiver (Resident) with Awesome Wells on  Bongos.

Clashing songs from Randy Newman, Kurt Weill, Flanders & Swann and Dolly Parton (plus several startling original numbers) with story-telling and libellous anecdotes, Ophelia Bitz’s caustic, over-sexed and utterly silly comic style has won her praise and recognition on stages and soap-boxes all over the world.

Ophelia Bitz, 23, is a professional cabaret and sideshow entertainer, working internationally since 2005. Previous collaborations include working with The Tigerlillies, Derren Brown, The Puppini Sisters, Mika and The Dresden Dolls.

Incorporating interactivity, participation, costumed characters, theatrics and improvisation into a club environment, The Paradox Club is more than a party, it’s an experience where you get to rub shoulders with time travellers and meet the strange cast of eccentrics who run the place.

Approaching an unassuming door on an East London street, you may be unaware that you are about to step through a portal sited at the entrance to a rip in the very fabric of time itself.

THE PARADOX CLUB is situated in a rift in the space-time continuum, its staff and stars locked together for an eternity while voyagers from other eras may enter and exit as they wish.

Like a departure lounge for time travellers, THE PARADOX CLUB is the only place where you can dance to music from the past, present and future while mingling with partygoers from every era in history.

What year are you from: 2009? 1999? 1989? 1919? 1889? Be sure to decide and bring with you any costumes or memorabilia from your time period to share with the proprietors of THE PARADOX CLUB, who will be opening their time gate at 8pm GMT on the third Friday of every month from July 17 2009 AD onwards.

The July 17 party will not be announced to the press and so will be just for our closest friends and supporters, in other words you, the elite Mischief Makers who have made our shows so much fun.

We’ve already played one festival show this summer – in London’s Victoria Park as part of Paradise Gardens – and we will be in the same beautiful vintage spiegeltent with some old friends and several brand new artists to introduce.

As ever White Mischief’s hosts Tough Love will take to the stage, plus new discoveries Tankus and The Henge, alongside a panoply of excellent interactive, vaudeville and circus acts from Amundsen and Slade through to MC Elemental. The festival is entirely free and is open between midday and 10.30pm on Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 21st. The White Mischief show will be at the “Parlure Spiegeltent” on Saturday June 20 from 6pm to 10.30pm. This year we are proud to present the UK outdoor premiere of ‘La Cucina dell’Arte’ by the renowned Belgian circus, Circus Ronaldo. Those of you who caught No Fit State’s Tabu last year will know that we specialise in presenting a world class circus each year. The music programme features a partnership with Barbican’s Cuba 50 programme on the Paradise Stage on Sunday which includes the seminal Charanga group Orquesta Aragon. Other musical highlights, programmed by Continental Drifts, include The Dynamics and Soothsayers.

New commissions include The Bar of Ideas, newly developed into a full performance piece from last year’s installation, now featuring street theatre comic magicians Cocoloco – the show is ticketed so make sure you book your place when you arrive on site. The Bar of Ideas is part of our programme of sideshows, which this year includes one the last remaining Wall of Death shows in the world, as well as Miniscule of Sound, the world’s smallest nightclub, and Bored Brand’s Digital Funfair.

Remarkable Productions has teamed up with The Circus Space, in a new partnership, to co-produce East London hip hop dance pioneers Avant Garde Dance working with Chinese pole artists in a new commission for the Festival “The Silver Tree”.

We are delighted to present the Tea Dance once again, this year housed in a Spiegel Tent “Salon Perdu.” In the evenings we present steam punk innovators White Mischief on Saturday and Variety specialists Toot Sweet on Sunday.

This year’s historic moment will be the very first full outing of The Beautiful Octopus Club, the club led by artists with learning difficulties, at a mainstream festival – check it out on Saturday. On Sunday the same venue is taken over by local festival favorites’ Solution Sound System. Also new this year is the People’s Palace, a spectacular 5 ring tent, presenting a nu folk line up from Magpie’s nest on Saturday, and Instigate Debate on Sunday.
