Bro Safari and UFO! release their “Animal” LP yesterday, and it offers something for ever type of dance music fan. The two have been hard at work on this LP for over a year now and I’m stoked to finally hear the end result. Yesterday Bro Safari tweeted:

After a few listens, in my opinion, “Animal” is the most diverse release of 2013 so far. All ten tracks encompass multi-genre beats and range in style. Proving that Bro Safari & UFO! are capable of doing anything in the studio. If you’re use to albums being focused in one direction you’re going to need to keep an open mind when listening to this ten track work. You can download the full LP or select certain tracks below.

1. Drama

If you’ve been to one of Bro Safari’s shows you’ve probably heard him drop this somewhere in his set. “Drama” is a great way for Safari & UFO! to kick off their LP since the trap scene is so huge now. This track gives off an original gangster groove.

2. The Dealer

“The Dealer” pays tribute to wobbles that were once the highlight of the electronic dance scene way back when. Dubstep is slowly dying, at least to me, but this track is fire.

3. Sputnik

Moombah? I love it! The Russian lyrics are pretty swag too.

4. Animal

I’m pumped that I am finally able to hear the final version of “Animal”. If you’ve been listening to the Annie Nightingale Mix on the daily like me, then you’ve probably been as excited to hear the full version. Let’s just say the choppy sound effects and trap beats work well with me.

5. Bird Brain

Bird Brain is my personal favorite of the “Animal” LP and I’ll probably be jamming to it for days to come.

6. Burn The Block

“Burn The Block” was released a day early to keep hungry fans happy. Biggies badass vocals and trap elements mixed is indescribably awesome. If Biggie was alive I wonder what he would have to say about trap music, or the rise of EDM in general.

7. No Time To Sleep

“No Time To Sleep” describe my life in sounds. If you’re looking for some mellow music, this record has the perfect beat. It is definitely an alternative style for Bro Safari & UFO!, but it keeps the diverse theme going from start to finish.

8. Tracers 

This whole LP is filled with futuristic sound and “Tracers” is testament to that, I hate to even label any of these records to one genre.

9. Zombies

“Zombies” is sure to be a fan favorite, the melody is clean, the effects are interesting, and the vocal edits are paralyzing.

10. Chimbre

Finally to close out the LP we have “Chimbre”, featuring vocals from Anna Yvette. I can see this record getting the remix treatment from some of trap, dubstep, and DnB’s biggest names. We’ll have to wait and see.

F.O.O.L have been on fire lately, two months ago they released and original titled “Fuck It” followed up by a remix of Freak Slaughter’s “Hybrid” and a remix of Future Cop!’s “Misanthropist Wolf”. Now today they’re back at it, dropping a free download of their remix of Gemini’s “Fire Inside”.

Their take offers elements from different genre’s like glitchhop, electro, and dubstep, making this tune a roller coaster of interesting sound.

Melotrance, have you heard of it? If you have, or if you haven’t, you’re going to want to learn more about it and there is no better teacher than Hazem Beltagui. He specializes in this subgenre, which to me exposes the really emotional, beautiful, and graceful side of trance music.

Hazem is one of my favorite producers because his records are so meaningful. No matter what tune I listen to of his, I always feel something incredible. “Her Words Are My Inspiration” is no different, the opening may fool you but about midway through this record slows down and flips into a melody that effortlessly sends goosebumps down my skin.

While Kaskade still has to wrap up his Redux Tour with a 6-hour set at TAO Las Vegas, he announced today that he’s going to be touring again in the near future. This time however instead of playing deep house sets in small venues, Kaskade has chosen to go with larger venues in just four major cities.

Atmosphere Tour Locations:

• New York
• Los Angeles 
• Chicago
• Miami

Possible venues include Madison Square Garden, The Staples Center, The United Center and Bayfront Park. Kaskade has reached the point in his career that he could sellout these places with the right supporting lineup.

Tickets will go on pre-sale June 5th and 12PM local venue time with general admission June 7th through http://kaskadeatmosphere.com/. While the demand is expected to be high, I don’t foresee a sellout situation like what we saw with Redux.

If that wasn’t bad enough, at the next show Nolan shocked me when he accidentally hit the mixer and causing the music to cut off during an insane Boston show. He then proceeded to spraying Stefan and Olle in the face with a bottle of champagne. On a positive note, one of the last things we hear from Olle and Stefan is “It feels like he’s already a part of our dysfunctional family“. Clearly Dada Land is a kind and accepting place, where any and all are welcome in equality.

To help convey today’s college atmosphere in Monsters University, director Dan Scanlon chose electronic dance music producers Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso to help with the score. Hopefully we don’t have to witness Mike and Scully going to their first Dayglow.

In the trailer embedded below, you can listen to a preview of “Roar”. It syncs with the style of the film, which we can expect since it’s coming from Pixar and Axwell & Ingrosso.

Last year Disney had Skrillex produce a track for the animated film Wreck It Ralph and had a cameo in the movie. That has to mean the Swedes will show up sometime in Monsters University right?

Another note… it appears that all of the members of Swedish House Mafia are doing well for themselves after the split.

Jon Gooch, who produces and performs under the monikers SPOR and Feed Me, announced yesterday on twitter that come this Fall, he will quit DJ’ing “for a while”.

Gooch is not only one of the most talented producers in edm, he’s also a brilliant artist who creates all of his own artwork and artist imagery. It’s never been a secret that his passion is to construct. He’s dedicated years to this and it finally seems he’s just not satisfied, inevitably deciding to pull the plug.

Thankfully, this indicates that he will in fact continue to make music but just won’t play it live. We wish him the best of luck and support his decision to take a leave of absence. For those of you who haven’t seen him live yet, I suggest you make arrangements.

If you unfamiliar with MitiS, he’s an upcoming, diverse producer and DJ out of Pennsylvania, creating dubstep, electro, and more heavy bass music. As we learn from his recent drum-and-bass release, “Pain”, the possibilities for MitiS are boundless.

“Pain” is a liquid drum-and-bass track with some great synthesized instrumentals that make it very fast-paced but chill at the same time. MitiS grew up as a classical pianist, which shows in this track, as piano keys are exhibited frequently, adding to the trance-like feel of the track. MitiS has let this track go for a free download, enjoy!
